It is extremely annoying to have an application that thinks it is smarter than my window manager: it is not smarter. It is making OOo unusable for me. Since 2008-Sep-05, the Slovak dictionary package extension dict-sk.oxt on http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/dict-sk uses the identifier value org.openoffice.sk.dictionary. This identifier is wide used. All updates of this dictionary package used this identifier value and many users use it for checking the updates. We have access to this dictionary package and we update it quite often. All Slovak versions of OpenOffice.org 3.x.x installation packages contain the slovak dictionary package dict-sk.oxt. This package uses the identifier value org.openoffice.hunspell.dictionaries. We do not have appropriate rights to change/update this dictionary package and we don't know how to change it. This package cannot be updated using the update service because it does not include the update-website element and the correct identifier value. So, to solve this problem, we would like to update the Slovak dictionary package and also change the identifier. Otherwise it will be regarded as completely new one that has nothing to do with the old. I am sorry, but I don't know, what does it mean, if an extension will be regarded as completely new one that has nothing to do with the old. What are the consequences of that? And keep in mind that your extension in the repository must have the same name. I am sorry, but I don't know what do you mean by a repository.
