We get quite a few crash-on-shutdown traces in fedora as our crash-reporting infrastructure is global over all apps and over their entire lifetime. And they fall into two main categories. I've seen ones like this one with a11y shutdown where the a11y shutdown and release of uno references is called effectively from spi_atk_bridge_exit_func which nightmarishly is called from atexit from the accessibility libs which makes avoiding this tricky. The other family is due to the current cppu shutdown being crippled to attempt to leak resources to avoid accessing dead ones, but this has the side effect of not calling the dtors which cleanly bring down the remotebridge reader/writer threads leaving them generally blocked on mutexes and then after those global mutex gets destroyed on main processes exit the threads unblock and trample all over the corrupt corpse of OOo. The common case is unopkg crashes which are no fault of unopkg. I just tried to re-open the file, it accepts my password and it starts loading, but then it gives following error message: Read-Error. The wrong password has been entered. This cannot be due to mistyping of the password, because if I intentionally mis-type the password I get a different message: The password is incorrect. The document cannot be opened.. Furthermore, the message displays before the file loads, whereas with the correct password the error message displays after the loading bar at the bottom of the screen has filled up. On the OpenOffice community forum I found a related problem that was solved (viewtopic.php?f=9t=10401start=0#p48747), but the solved problem relates to a corrupt file that cannot be opened after a crash and subsequent recovery process. The solution was to use a hex editor to remove manifest.xmlPK at the end of the file. I tried that but it did not resolve my problem. One of the assisted technologies we provide is Read and Write 9, this has a built in spellcheck/phonetic spell/predictions etc. When using RW9 in any other application, the spellcheck function works fine and in most OpenOffice applications - however in Writer the ReadWrite spellcheck is having massive issues. Issue: When typing and having autospellcheck on via RW9 whenever it flags a spelling mistake, it does the usual of finding alternatives in a little window. This window shows the misspelled word in question, however when ignoring the spelling mistake, the spellcheck does not register spacebars from then on. This means that there may be a sentance which is spelled correctly, however RW9 thinks that a sentance like Hi, This is Open office turns into Hi,thisisopenoffice. I do understand that this is possibly some kind of conflict with the two software applications - however this is the only one it occurs with. I have made sure Assisted Technology is supported within the options of Writer to no avail.
