[sw-issues] [Issue 98962] Word exported file crashes OOO 3.0.1 on re-opening
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=98962 --- Additional comments from paulgip...@openoffice.org Fri Feb 6 11:20:11 + 2009 --- I have reinstalled OOO 3.0.0 and it can open the MS/Word created file, although some of the formatting is askew. The export from OOO 3.0.0 produces a much better version Word version of the file. So I think that there are two issues: (1) OOO 3.0.1 produces a poor version of my file when exporting to Word format (2) OOO 3.0.1 produces a word version of the file that it cannot actually read. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. This seems a new issue in OOO 3.0.1 (as I've being using similar files without problem in 3.0.0). [framework-issues] [Issue 98569] Auto extension save-as fai ls in export to PDF
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=98569 Issue #|98569 Summary|Auto extension save-as fails in export to PDF Component|framework Version|current Platform|PC URL| OS/Version|Windows Vista Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|code Assigned to|tm Reported by|paulgipson --- Additional comments from paulgip...@openoffice.org Wed Jan 28 13:29:09 + 2009 --- Using the export to PDF function (either on File menu or the toolbar button) brings up the save-as dialogue. With auto extension ticked or not, clicking save using the default filename(with no file extension) results in the message 'filename.odt already exists. Do you want to replace it?. In OOO300 it would have just created the file filename.pdf. The problem only occurs when I do not type anything in the filename field but leave it as the default (without extension). If I type a new file name, or even retype the default filename, then it works properly. So, in sequence, Open file called 'name.odt' File-Export as PDF ... Export Save causes the problem. However, Open file called 'name.odt' File-Export as PDF ... Export Type 'name' in the file dialogue Save works. Hope this helps (but it looks like an initialisation issue to me), This is definitely a change from OOO300 as I do this type of exporting a lot. [sw-issues] [Issue 74228] Document modification date field replaced by Author when saved as Window s doc file

OOo 2.1 Windows XP Pro SP2 To reproduce the problem: Create a new document Insert the date modification field (Ctrl-F2-DocInformation-Modified-Date) Save file in .odt format Then Save As... Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (.doc) Select Yes to save in Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP format Close document. Reopen the .doc document in OpenOffice. Now the field shows the Author and not the modification name. Microsoft Word is not needed to illustrate this problem. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
