Re: NOT SOLVED: PERFORM-ACTION-OPEN-URL to open internal network site
I didn’t notice that, do you think the space may need to be URL-encoded into %20? Personally I still think it’s the browser security but this is one other trick to try, you’d have to add an extra action before the run process to do the replacement but if that works then you would need to write (or find) a function to URL encode all characters that are not HTML compliant. -Rick From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:arslist@ARSLIST.ORG] On Behalf Of Joel Sender Sent: Friday, October 10, 2014 6:01 PM To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG Subject: Re: NOT SOLVED: PERFORM-ACTION-OPEN-URL to open internal network site ** I’m not sure if this is the issue, but since your address contains a BLANK, have you tried quotes around the URL? Keith, Just to make sure: You sent this originally: Run Process: PERFORM-ACTION-OPEN-URL \\pwfil01\Public\ITfile:///\\pwfil01\Public\IT HD\DocTest\S80039514.pdf The %20 needs to be between the IT and the HD with no spaces. Re: ENGAGE 2014 Commentary
Hi! Spent the afternoon at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and yesterday at Epcot. I'm about done with theme parks for a while. The first observation I'd like to make is about scale. Everything in this space is massive, and even though it looks like there are more than s thousand in the Monday reception at the moment, there are tens of thousands in Disney World and the surrounding non-conference-type hotels. All made to feel unique and special. (insert Mickey Mouse icon in your choice of fonts here) Scale also brings to my mind that BMC Engage is a larger conference than the WWRUG meetings have been. I have met many of my friends (drinking buddies, co-workers, party animals, former employers!) from past conferences in the lobby, and I'm meeting a lot of new folks too. This is, I think, a Good Thing. As the week progresses we'll see how all these groups interact. The exhibit hall is huge too. Lots of vendors to talk to, lots of swag to collect, and it will take several visits to see them all. I've always tried to chat with every single one of the exhibitors, you never know what's going turn out to be useful. Speaking of which, the foods good too, so Later Doug -- Doug Blair +1 224-558-5462 Sent from my iPhone6+ Auto-corrected typos, misspellings and non-sequiturs are gratefully attributed to Steve Jobs :-) ___ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org Where the Answers Are, and have been for 20 years

Joe, Monday was sort of quiet if you don't count all the certification training and classes, and if you don't count the huge reception in the technology showcase and if you don't count all the anticipation about Engage And it wasn't quiet for me. Went to the Hollywood Movie Studio park and rode the Hollywood Hotel Tower of Terror for the first time, then went back after the Engage reception and rode it twice more in the dark! Yeha! All that adrenaline should put me in the right mood for Tuesday's keynote.
