Re: Esclation to update all of my people records

2013-05-22 Thread remedy.help
Hello ,

Filters on modify all will also trigger the underlying filter written on
modify condition.

If you have an very distinct search possible on those records ,and the
fields you are trying to update are not display only then you can try
updating the records using an simple sql procedure. directly run this
against the db and this will not fire the filters on the people form if
these are new fields you are trying to update.

amit

Re: Issue in opening a display only form

2012-07-09 Thread remedy.help
Check on the workflow written on the load or opening of that particular
display only form ,

Will suggest to first disable those. That will give you time for doing more
analysis with number of fields and restructuring it for better performance.
You can also trying to modify your workflow accordingly.

Remedy Web Mid tier issue

2011-11-30 Thread remedy.help
Hello All,

We are facing issues with Mid tier where the apache process gets hung on
one of the web servers.Restarting the web server with apache and tomcat
resolves the issue. But the prefetch running on the web boxes takes a lot
longer time than usual.

The catalina.out logs contains too many broken pipe errors.

We are on ARS 7.1 and ITSM 7 with oracle 10.

Please let me know if any body has faced this issue.

change management slowness

2011-10-13 Thread remedy.help
Hello All,

We are facing slowness issues with change management ITSM 7.

I ran all the logs and found the only in the api logs particularly the calls
in regards to GMSF = ARGetMultipleFields call is taking much of time.

SQL logs are clean. Even in any logs there is no error registered only
slowness is the issue.

Any ideas is welcome as i am out of those now.

However i am having escalation, approval and assignment engine running on an
single box.Will it cause any issues.

Amit

Advice Needed

2010-09-22 Thread remedy.help
Hello All,

I have a question in replicating DB backups to make new system.

For e.g. if we have a remedy ITSM box (test1)ready with all the application
and data build and configured(Foundation). Can i take a full database backup
and restore it to a new oracle installation and use it as a test 2 box.Make
changes in ar.conf, for server name etc and then start the remedy service.

Or

what is the fastest and easiest way to create three remedy boxes as
test1,test2 and test3. I just want to save time in installing and uploading
data into systems.

Env :OS : Windows
DB : Oracle 10g
ARServer: ITSM 7.6.03

Joe,

Thanks for the response but the query on C104 doesnt catches it and if we
give like '1%' it throws up lot of results.

I was trying to write stored procedure for getting the names, but there also
i am facing issues because of the variable containing mutliple values
deliminated by ';'

it will be great if you have something written on it and i can use it as
model code

...

Re: SQL help needed

2010-02-16 Thread remedy.help
What i need -->

I need to pull out the group names from group list field(c104). Since it
contains the group id and not the group names i need to convert it back to
group names;

Also can we do a select statement for group list field where we say

select count(*) from t9 where c104 like '1';

I am on oracle DB and the list i have checked for every other string habits;

regards

Re: SQL help needed

2010-02-16 Thread remedy.help
the error points to the Fetch statement Fetch C1 into froup_id,group_name
It will be great if somebody has done sql manipulations on the C104 filed of
the t9(User Form)
