I just wanted to add that it IS possible to modify the canned reports for ITSM if you have the Crystal client, you can change the design of the report or add new ones. It is also possible to create new reports with the Report interface. The canned reports there are also a bit lame, but then you have the ability to modify them and create new ones using Business Objects, which is something that you can’t really do with the Crystal reports that just come with ITSM. I've always regarded the canned reports as suggested starting points for reporting. Every organization's reporting need and metrics are so diverse there's no way BMC could provide very many reports that had actual value to everyone. You might take a look at BMC Analytics for BSM. That gives you a set of canned reports on top of Business Objects.
