The only way around the 'auto-logout' problem I found was to call a script when agents login. This script checks to see if they are already logged in or not - then, if they are, it does whatever I want (I manually log them off the other phone first - you could play a message instead). I think you have to write your own agent login and logout so that you will not have this problem.
