Kamochek, I dont wish to offend you, but what I am about to say is sincerely meant. One issue I take with religion is the belief that you can just simply pray and God will step in and make everything alright such as open your eyes or make your father change his mind about religion. For many reasons I cant help but think your faith or hopes in this regard are unrealistic.To begin with most people believe in the concept of free will. As in the idea that God has given people the right to believe or disbelieve as he or she so chooses, and if you pray for God to change your fathers mind on religious views isnt that going against his right to free will?Another one is the concept of Gods master plan. Many people I have talked to believe God has some ultimate plan for them and that all the hardships and problems we have such as having a physical disability like being blind is all apart of that master plan. If true isnt asking God to open y
 our eyes, to heal you, and give you sight equivalent to telling God you want him to change his master plan in that regard?What I am getting at is even assuming God is real, which I am not claiming he is, it seems like there are reasons for him not to grant your requests. You can pray if you want to, but it strikes me that prayer generally does not work for people who believe in it, and they have various reasons to explain why this or that did not happen. Making the very act of prayer a bit unrealistic from the outset. Of course, I openly state I have a bit of a grievance with God over that very issue.Back when I was a young teen, not much younger than you, I lost my sight. At the time I was a Christian, I whole-heartedly believed in the power of prayer, and I spent hours praying and praying for God to heal me. Of course, nothing happened. I am just as blind today as I was back then. I started inquiring with other Christian friends, with ministers, and they 
 all pretty much gave me the reasoning that it was not in Gods master plan and what I wanted must not be in his will for some reason. In other words no matter how much I prayed, pleaded, asked I was just wasting my time and effort praying for something that would never happen. that is when I began to loose faith, and it set me on the path to being the atheist I am today.A few years ago I began reading books like the God Delusion, God is Not Great, The End of Faith, and other books written by atheists and I accepted the fact there was no God. Once I did I actually felt much better for it. I no longer felt angry over God not healing me because I understood all that time spent on my knees praying for a miracle was in vain. That I had been wasting my time and energy talking to a being who only existed in my imagination, and since he never existed it was no wonder that none of my prayers were coming true. I managed to take back a measure of self-respect, self-confidence, and 
 realized that if I wanted anything in life I had to do it myself. I could not sit back and expect God or some other imaginary being to just answer my prayers.The point of this long winded ramble is simply this. You can pray if you want to. You can believe as you want to. However, dont expect for things to change, because in my experience they wont. Try to set your heart and mind on actually achievable goals like making good grades, finding a few good friends, etc rather than hoping for you to wake up with sight or that your dad will suddenly change his mind. Their were a few things I left out when initialy posting this. First and formost, to send a message in the chatlounge, hit m and type your message and press return to send. And, when you get past the message of the day screen, the next screen is your player name. Apparently the message can get confusing, but what it basicly means is enter a playername to continue into the server. SLJ, Virtualbox is a virtual machine similar to VMWare Player. It is sort of accessible, but requires a lot of command line access to use it because the graphical user interface is not accessible. Ghost, the death sounds as well as the majority of the flappy bird sounds have been added. The update is pretty much ready to release, but i just have a few miner things to sort out. This update adds pipes that move up or down from level to level, a redesign of how the game gets more difficult as the levels go on, few bug fixes, and as has been said the sounds have been added. Ive downloaded King of Dragon Pass and Im looking at the manual and tutorial for that. It does seem pretty exciting so thank you again for the recommendation. Im impressed to the point of being slightly intimidated at how complicated it seems (I was expecting a simple yes/no choice tree). Im looking forward to having time to get my teeth into it.SilverSword is such a unique game that its a bit disappointing to have it and not really be able to do anything with it. Still, Ill keep hoping and see if any of the accessibility updates do come out. Hello,Thanks for the comments guys! I do actually have a system for gender up and stuff, but I didnt implement it into the game framework yet, but if you guys are interested I might just do it in the next version. About the status keys, for health, I thought the bleeps would be better, but hey, thats what suggestions are for, improving. Ill make the beep health indicator a toggle and add in keys to check health level, knives, grenades and such. As well as make medkits limited.@SLJ, I havent taken over that project. I dont even know the guy who started it, and thats why even though this is based of the DC idea, its as differnt from it as I could make it, including the name, even though its a half sinonim.Again, thanks for the comments! The fence is sort of a buffer, I think. The zombies on the outside are only supposed to appear in sight of the windows, but far enough away for it to be plausible that youre shooting from two stories up. Slj, Micros are partial levels. CAE, I Think youre right. Its the same for the sniper mission, theres a fence if you spawn outside it.I have a bug to report with your map editor. When Reading off the coordinates I know it speaks 1 1 even though in the Array youre at 0 0, but it doesnt do that with the marker, and when jumping I Think.Also, the map editor seem to Place the ambience incorrectly, one right and down from the tile I pick. Well Slj, I am on Applevis but I dont tend to use their forums as I am busy with other places to keep checking each day, but if someone can pass on the news that would be great. I am rather disappointed I will admit, sinse the developer seems pretty adamant that there is no alternative he will even considder discussing which is a rather dire attitude. But you cant win them all, and at least there are games like star traders, Dark room and King of Dragon pass out there. indeed, when people have attitudes like this it is all the more reason to support those developers who wil! be reasonable about access. Im just sorry for anyone who did try to support this irritating individual by buying his game in hopes itd be made accessible in the future, and think he dam well deserves a zero star rating. On the plus side, I do have hopes Trees brothers will produce something in the same genre as starbase orion in the
 p; future. Regarding Startraders King gamer, well it is not an easy game to pick up and play, indeed its far harder than the smugglers games sinse you have absolutely no hand holding at all, even on easier difficulties. There are lots of things to keep track of, and lots of things you need to go and look at carefully, such as your faction standing and crew morale that can seriously affect your game if things go wrong.Equally, there are so many different factors to keep track of, what sort of cargo you have, what permits youve got, the rumours you hear, your ship stats. I had to actualy read through the manual several times and dip into it to check specific points before getting enough of a handle on the game to start expanding my horizon and enjoying myself.Of course, some people just dont get on with particular games (Im in no way a racing fan for example) which is fair enough, but with star traders I will say fir

Hi.Actually, the leveling up sound you might hear occasionally is some weird mush-z effect. To spend experience in a Micro, type level ... and then the class you want to put experience into.Necromancer 5 2/4 1100 (14 percent complete)or something similar. First, when reviewing the level commands result, theres the class name, then the next number is the level it currently is. THen theres 2/4 which means Ive spent 2 out of 4 Micros, then the exp it COSTs to gain Another Micro. And then, it says how much exp you have in comparason to how much you need for the Micro (in percentage)At the bottom, theres how much fame youve spent, Think mine says something like 20 out of 180 fame, atm, cant remember. I tried recording a walkthrough. It turned out pretty poorly, and Sound Tap kept breaking it up.Also, it seems there is another spot somewhere in there where the timer does not stop appropriately, which I only discovered because I had the game paused so much when trying to explain things.The real issue that made it poor, though, is that Im not actually sure what to explain and what not. (Im not much at explanations.  )Changes I want to make (do not let me flake out on these):- Food is still handled pretty poorly. To be more specific, people arent sharing enough, and samurai wind up starving.- Not enough trees in ocean districts. I figure I should mess with some islands to make boulders and trees in at least small numbers so you can build more boats/houses/tiny fortifications (cant add enough to make proper castles, I think...).
 - (I have a nonessential idea on how to get more horses by taking a woodaxe to a garden to turn it into a stable. Worth it?)- I want to implement Darks tutorial map suggestions. That was sort of the idea behind the map with the bay, except this needs to be even better. Im thinking you start out with a well-fed village (so you cant just harvest their vegetables for them and expect them to follow you), and you sequentially need to protect them from some bandits (so you can get items to give them without arming them; you dont want a peasant uprising, after all), then have you arrange some boulders to try and get a castle going. Then slay a small time Daimyou and upgrade yourself with the Tome of Honor, or something. Maybe I can use a quest item here to fit a small military campaign into this same map, but thatd be kinda annoying.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewto

Yes, indeed! This game has a huge potential. We just need some way to take items and stuff. Is a history line planned for the game? There are times when I like jaws better, like for say all I like jaws 13 better because you can shoose the voice you want to use with say all so I use real speek. My concern with learning the machine is that there are too many different types in the uk and different layouts. That was indeed as I said the Rnibs solution, learn one machine then get your carer to do the others, however sinse I dont have (nor want), a carer its easier to just go with the signature and bank option, heck, sinse the local machine is next to my bank anyway, it probably wouldnt make much difference to me even if I did learn that one machine accept that Id be more at risk of invalidating my card if I did get things wrong, and wouldnt have the option to use my signature card in shops, stations, cafes etc.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=167542#p167542

Actually fastfinge, the particions holding the disks arent cardboard, theyre just the same sort of plastic as a normal dvd casee, rather like if you get a two disk film set and instead of having a disk holder oneach half of the case there is one disk on a little hinged particion thing, then the secont on the bottom. While I understand your redistributing series in other cases, to be honest Id rather have the originals sinse often the cases are interesting, either in shape or in colourand design, though obviously the ,last wont matter to you if you cant see the things, however I do appreciate that with a penfrined Ino longer have to make up random codes for things that will fit into small spaces on brailel labels, and now I can get the full whack, heck when there are disks of random extras I can even get someone to read the contents and put it on a penfriend lable which is great.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=167544#p167544

I like the game but I would remove the flash bangs. because after a few levels of allmost getting killed I ended up using flash bangs, jumping to the teleporter, blasting some enemies away with grenades and the rest I just beat up with another flash bang. Were getting close now. You can just smell the fear, cant you? Heres the latest. On 5 March, Micros~1 will have Windows XP systems updated using Windows Update display a warning of the users impending doom (blog post here) with a link to the end of support for Windows XP help page, and are offering a download of a free tool made by LapLink ([[wow]], theyre still around?) to transfer some files and settings over to a Windows 7 or 8/8.1 PC. On April 8, support will end, and on that date the user will receive the final patch Tuesday offload.Im afraid its no good. If I go back to Windows full time its going to be 7, but only because thats what the Mac supports minimum; otherwise, its just going to be XP VMs, and Im perfectly happy with that. When the only reason to go with 7 is that its not 8, and still has the vestiges of a start menu with hierarchical structure instead of tiles, you know youre really fucked.Not that I think Microsoft has won this battle--not on the merits of Vista/7/8/8.1, anyway. Hi.Well, I have one thing to say.Thank you, Microcrap, for ruining Windows.I dont know if well see anything like XP or even Windows 7 again.Oh well.This end of support thing is not really a big issue for a few reasons.1. I have a virtual machine of one of my XP computers. This virtual machine is backed up on an external hard drive so if anything screws up I can just make another copy.2. I have 2 fully functioning XP computers that I dont really use but are still around.3. Dont worry, none of this is whining, I have down time on the project due to the save feature not being able to be implemented so Im adding all sorts of little features and clean ups. Here are some things I cleaned up in the current dev version:-Cries change based on HP.- You can change the order of your moves by going into the move menu on the overworld and pressing backspace, and then selecting another move by pressing backspace again.-Battles remember what move you used last.-Battles no longer show No move if there is an empty move slot and just simply cycles through the available moves.-You can change the volume by holding down F11 and F12.-Battle music changes based on locational factors (I plan to implement Johto at some point)I changed the sound so that in the forest it works like the wind sound in the map. Before it was not affected by collisions but now it is.Both

How about implementing a key that tells you how far away collisions are in the cardinal directions? @guitarman, you are correct in that making an entirely graphical game accessible would be a very long and difficult task, however in the cases of most turn based games that already display textual information there are usually workarounds that are relatively simple to implement, eg, coordinates, displaying objects with distance info etc, even if you dont actually re rlabel the entire map.In the case of Silver Sword, access fixes would be even easier, sinse when I say map I am using short hand. The game actually functions closer to an if game or a mud, however instead of giving a textual room description, it shows a graphical picture of what is visible to your characters in that location. Sinse the options to interact with anything and anyone at each location are already textual, the main purpose of the pictures (apart from the extra easthetic fluff for people who can see them), is to physically show whe
 re you are. To make the game accessible, all that would need to happen is an indication in text of where a player is, such as a  coordinates system. Actual room descriptions would be great, but are in no way necessary at all. I also suspect that the players actual location is tracked with some form of internal coordinates as well, indeed when i was discussing this with the developer he confirmed this fact, accept that unfortunately the coordinates used arent logical so theyd need translating, still, we are not talking a major rewrite of the game or adding any information that isnt already there. This is why I still have not abandoned hope entirely that the game will be fixed in the future.@Welshweyr, i agree on that silver word would be great, and everytime I see an update to the game I check to see if anything has changed, but nothing thus far. Kodp however is also extrem
 ely good and will keep you busy for a while. It is certainly not a simple yes/no choice style game, and will take a lot of learning pr practice, but offers a great deal, indeed while Ive finished the game in its short form I know there is far more I could do. I would highly recommend you read the database entry for Kodp, sinse I tried to give some basic info on the game and its interface with Vo. On that page w you will also find a link to a podcast from Applevis. The podcast is a tad inaccurate regarding Vos performance sinse it mentions some shenanigans with screens such as the exploration screen that dont happen anymore, however it still does provide an idea of what playing with vo is like and a look at how to get started and get a handle on the game.It was listening to that podcast that really got me excited about getting an Iphone, which I confess I chiefly did in order to play ga
 mes. if you want something with an easier interface, try some of the choiceofgames or hosted games titles, which are gamebooks and so do work on a choice based structure,  although they do at the same time have a lot to ofer in terms of story and atmosphere and can be quite tricky in parts. As well as Star traders, I would also very much recommend A Dark room, which is a stratogy rpg game. Its not as complex as silver sword or indeed Kodp, but it is one of the best put together games of its type Ive seen and has highly addictive gameplay, an intreaguing story and a unique world, indeed I dont want to say too much about the games setting sinse its really something you need to discover for yourself. A Dark room is also so well put together in terms of its screen layout, use of announcements etc that it will be a good way to get used to using Vo to, which will stand you in good stead

Without variable radius turns, there is a lot less interest than would be created between that grand, sweeping 180 and that ridiculously tight hairpin that wants you to slow down even before the curve starts to avoid damage. Hi,first, i want to say that this game is a great idea. I really like this concept.I just have a few problems with the game right now. First, the tutorial does not work properly. After explaining turns and after the first left turn is finished, nothing more happens. My character just keeps racing forever, without anything else happening. I know that this is not a freeze of the game, since I still can use the arrow keys to turn left and right. Since there is no real documentation on the game, a working tutorial would be great. Especially since I think I could the mechanics far better when trying them out, rather tan just reading some keystrokes.My other problem is, that the menu sounds are far too loud. I barely can understand my sapi voice when navigating the menues. A volume control for either the sounds in the game or the sapi voice would be great as well.Btw, cool game music you have there. Ok, simmer down folks. This discussion began about relationships, love/lust and flirting and has become a potentially divisive one about the validity of Kamocheks religion. Speaking as one whom he probably believes is destined for Hell, (I believe that we are all God, I firmly support any consensual sex in or out of marriage, I have campaigned for and voted for same sex marriage, I have worshipped other gods than his, Ive reverenced Pan whom some believe to be the model for the Christian Devil, shall I go on. . .?) Anyway, as a full-fledged sinner, Im all right with Kamochek believing that extramarital sex is a sin. I respect his willingness to live by that belief. I think its hard to do that and be fifteen, in a fairly sexually liberated society as is most of Israeli society. I hope he does not genuinely wish his father to die, because that would indicate a tragic family story. But really, he wasnt ask
 ing us for our opinions on his religious beliefs, which I think came up in part because I asked, wanting to understand if he was looking to get laid or if this was part of the problem. I get the sense he has not had any practice in dealing with girls, possibly as a result of his religious position, but thats only a guess.I think there is a tendency among many atheists, or even non-Christians to get all stompy when a Christian speaks strongly about his or her beliefs. I get that; like I said, my co-religionists have been being burned, hanged, dispossessed and otherwise mistreated by Christians ever since the Council of Nicea and perhaps before that in direct opposition to the teachings of their founder philosopher Jeshua Ben Joseph. (please pardon any misspellings Kamochek, I do not know Hebrew or its proper transliteration into English.) I remember when I was little, when I was playing the original bop it toy fro Hasbro, that if you had a low battery, the toy would emit weird squeaky-like sounds. I am a deist, so my beliefs differ from that of most people. I believe everyone is their own leader and can do what they want, and should not bother enforcing it unto other people. I, too, am in favour of same sex relationships, though there is a bit of political incorrectness with what terms you should use. This might be a bit branching off-topic, but I believe that marriage should be between any couple, regardless of sex. Imbreeding has negative side effects for the offspring, so that cannot happen. What about using civil unions or domestic partnerships? The point here is that we have to turn the minorities into the majorities, but the already-existing majority will not let the minority make their move. Therefore, we have to do what we call unity, to fight back with all of our might.Now, back on topic, I am not against any form of religion, but I do listen open-mindedly. I am with monogamy, mainly because of the science data behind safer methods and less contamination. Infidelities and affairs are more common in straight couples than in gay ones. Did you know that?  Voice chat isnt essential in SL and on some sims it is not encouraged. Second Life has so much more to offer than voice chat with other users and I would encourage you to give it a try without it. Most people type back and forth in chat if they talk to one another, especially on Virtual Ability where not everyone in the community can hear. I have not noticed the voice problem you have referred to and I suspect it is something on your end. If you have a default set of speakers and mic set up I would try using that. You can use the push to talk button but you will also need to ensure that the first mute button is not checked. This is the button for your mic. Brad, you have been sent an e-mail. Also, Second Life has its own scripting language therefore the building plugins will not help you unless you know the language. I dont know anything about these and we advise just learning Radegast itself before experimenting with more advanced functions. Interesting... It appears we have different versions yet the same game. I can assure you that my game that appears on my ipad is restricted from purchasing specific buildings until I llevel up. As I stated in my original message concerning this situation. What an asinine way to develop a game, to actually distribute different versions to players, some with serious advantages, thus serious disadvantages to all others-lol. Maybe the devs think ipad owners are rich and foolish enough to try to keep up with these privileged ones by continually paying for esper with the ones who can purchase buildings for earned gold and just stock up food for continued battles in the tourneys. I too have enough life things to keep me from digging much deeper, but Im just that type A personality that cant help but get to the bottom of things that are just not right. Maybe Ill study up on game development and get into this racket, it seems it can be
