having read your post, I do get ithowever for me personally I've never had any issue with the game, I've always done run-N-gun style, and I can keep up with everything on screen so it just becomes a fight with reflexes, hell my first time playing I ran through the whole of stage 25 in one sitting, unsure how long it was but it was the most fun I'd ever had in any audio game and only died like twice, and that was only in the gauntlet that is 25-3the fact that you actually have to stop and look at what's going on is what makes this game different from the rest of them, it's also what kept me hooked on it for as long as it did since you actually have to think to finish parts of itat least until you're overpowered and everything just bounces off you

Hi all,The idea for this topic came about a few months ago when I was talking to a friend, who was annoyed that audio games haven't progressed too much over the past years, apart from a few projects which are not as famous as they probably should be. I told him that if he wanted to try something different, he should play BK3. However I knew he would probably not like it, as he said he was tired of side-scrollers where you just run and jump over things. He wanted something with a more 2D or even 3D landscape. He also didn't seem too keen on the level of strategy and tactical reasoning needed to work your way through areas of the game. I thought that BK3 was the closest modern game to what he was asking for, and even if he didn't like its navigation, he might still have fun playing some of it for a while.Within a day of playing the game, he had presumably given up because he couldn't figure out the puzzles of stage 1. We were both busy so we couldn
 39;t really work through it at the time. I even lent him my copy of the translation dictionaries, because there was no solution for NVDA, this was at a time when Instant Translate was broken and JGT was not out to my knowledge, and I would not expect him to buy the translations before even establishing an opinion on the game. I wanted him to at least have a translation to work with.A few days ago we were talking about audio games again, and he had mentioned Super Liam 2, and how he wasn't that impressed by demos which were recently released. Now I haven't been listening to a lot of those demos because I don't want to get myself all excited about a huge project that may never finish. That's happened far too often in this community, sad to say. I pointed out that SL2 is likely going to be based, at least mechanically, from BK3, since Liam does love that game.My friend then told me that the reason he still does not like BK3 is because it feels like he is
  playing a game of Ches. You listen to stuff around you, but you ultimately have to pause the game, look at this huge board because half of the objects in the game don't make distinct sound, and figure out what you're going to do. You can't just go in there knowing what's going on unless you "cheat and use the camera, which pauses the game." He also pointed out that video games do not work that way, so why should audio games.Now, I do see his point, but as I tried to explain to him, and those of you who've played a considerable amount of BK3 will tell you, how on earth do you expect to convey the game's world with sound alone?Here's an example:I press and hold G to scan with the surface camera, and use up and right a few times, and I find out there's a platform 3 squares above my head which I likely can jump onto. But do I even need to make that jump? I hear a switch, but I don't know quite where it is. I press
  D for object information. I scan the board and find the switch I need to hit is on the platform, so I need to get up there. I position myself against the edge of the platform, as this is going to be a high, short jump. "juuump!! Yes, I made it! Now I have to hit the switch, oh but wait it's surrounded by timed swinging blades which I know from experience can kill me in one blow. I can hear the blades there, but I don't know quite where they are, since there are a lot of them. Some are around the switch, and a few are on adjacent platforms which now aren't a threat, but still distracting me. There's no room for error. I didn't come through these 11 rooms before this for nothing. Press D. The only blades I need to worry about are the two blades which are two squares to the left and right of the switch. I'm three squares away from the first blade.I know what I must do. Run two squares to inch up to the first blade, and right after it swings, ru
 n for a few squares and pound the switch. then I must listen for the second blade, and run past it the same as I did the first. I made it, without needing to use any items! Which is good, because I know it's going to get hellish from here.I hear a door which has suddenly appeared after I flicked the switch. it's faint, (high up), and I know I can't reach it from here, but how far above my head is it? I can't tell by sound alone. Press D. The door is 21 squares above my head. try to use my grappling hook. It doesn't work. I use the G camera, and I find the ground above me is un-hookable. Gotta find another way up there. Use G camera some more and scan the area. I can jump up there, walk over that wall, and get down. Maybe on the other side I can find something. Okay. Now I am stuck in 23-1, second pass through the get the other keys. I flip a switch that drops a bomb, but I can't get the key from the case, as it is blocked behind a barrier. When I try to grapple on to the barrier, I can't; the grapple slips. What am i uspposed to do?

Hi Sswwaaiikkee.No this game isn't an audio game but it still is playable. Space channel 5 the first game is playable and in english but if I remember correctly the second one is in japanese only. Unless you speak japanese I wouldn't recommend getting part 2. But the first one is in english and it's for playstation or playstation 2. You can probably find it on amazon or eBay, sites like that. Space channel 5 is a bopit style game where you do things when your told too. It's a lot of fun but it's nothing special.hth.

Hm, actually recommending IDLE may not be the greatest idea as it doesn't generally play nice with screen readers. PythonWin seems to work alright with NVDA, but is windows exclusive. You could try skimming through the list of Mac compatible python IDE's here and see which ones work, or worst case just use a text editor and save the file as discussed here with a *.py extension and run it from a command prompt with "python script.py".

I just bought it. It seemed like a fair enough exchange, especially as I can access it in HTML which is much easier. I'm not sure if that means I bought it and am just using the free product, especially as each exercise seems to have videos on it anyway. But considering the work that's obviously gone into all this it only seemed fair.Really? You can use IDLE? I'm trying to use it but it's not working out too accessible for me.Oh and in case anyone was wondering, TextWrangler doesn't seem to be accessible either. Shame, as there's things online suggesting it might be. Maybe it's something with the latest version of OSX. I don't know.

I believe the problem that you're facing is that not every screen reader has an event for when it has finished speaking. SAPI does, but I'm not sure if any others do. NVDA certainly doesn't when I was looking for one. Shame, as it's my favourite one. As such, I don't think the Universal Speech library would cater for it, as it's not really a universal capability.Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on this. Hopefully screen reader vendors will jump on this. Hopefully, if ever I conquer Python, I might be able to work in a speech finished event into NVDA, which would be something.

I played through all of the games today, it's quite a nice app. The only bug I found was wih the tutorial, I could swipe  right to move through the menu but then it asked me to double tap the screen and when I tried to double tap, nothing happened. I kept on dobule tapping and it eventually took me to the main menu.

Hi!I have here a big problem with UniversalSpeech with c++.I need a library, that says, wether the screenreader is speaking or not... I got the UniversalSpeech from Githup and tried the example "test.c"...It didn't work... Then I renamed the file in "test.cpp", but nothing changing... The source code for the original Sim City was realeased back in 2008 under a GPLv3 licsense, and for legal reasons renamed Micropolis. If anyones interested you can find it and the source code over here.

@nibar, just to answer to your sogestion to make admins and masters unable to look at players if they don't trust them:That's a pretty new feature still, for a long time admins couldn't look at people without those people trusting them. Sam made it like that now so admins can easely see what map a person is to help them, see if they are really in unknown area and where, watch people that are speedhacking so they see if they really are or it's a bug, etc. So I think this will stay, because it's better that way.

Hi.Darn I should have done the kickstarter I'd have the first episode now. I wonder if they will have ink on there when he was human. I wonder what he was like? They give you some idea in we're alive but you don't get a clear picture of what he was like.It's funny that lockdown is coming out so soon because the city of mirrors by justin cronin (which is the third book in a zombie trilog)) is coming out next month. I'm very happy to be getting into all these awesome zombie stories!@Dark, scratch was at eastern bay prison. But I imagine she will probably meet up with the people at the twin towers jail at some point.

Hi Nibar.The mud client doesn't matter you have to type commands that's how you play muds there is no other way. Try vipmud which is good for some things. Also try mushclient which is what makes up mush-z. With mushclient you will have no problems seeing your commands. But if you don't like typing commands you should probably stay away from muds.Hth.

Hi,So ...what's going on is this. My code is below, it is a modified version of the windows_attack script. I am trying to make it into a pong game, but I'm having a few problems, namely:- The ball comes towards the player, but the volume doesn't really increase. Ithink there's something wrong with my volume calculations or I am suing soundPool wrong.- I am trying to , instead of having balls spawn space-invader style, have a hit ball be either hit back or let  through based on a random number. Not sure if I should trick it into just still spawning balls but make it a random event and use a 'hit back'  sound, or actually make the same ball object go up and down. Hi.Yes this seems to be out.The company is called I think sonaamedia and I did some of the early alpha/beta testing in fact I tested last month an almost full version.I am testing on pc to.More stuff is going to come out by these guys including another book or 2 one of these I can't tell you because I have been asked not to its a prototype and while its still quite unstable it actually does look good.The testing environment for this game at least when I tested it was an i pad mini so I am not sure.Sonaa are on here because I saw one of the devs on here so its likely they know about it.However we will see.

I'm guessing that unless there are fundamental changes to the X86 archetecture with those processors older versions of Windows will still run on them, they just won't be able to take advantage of features like virtualization, power management and encryption. So more of a concern if it's a laptop.

hi,to clarify processor support,  all processors, including skylake will be supported until the end of support dates of windows 7 and 8.1. However, processors higher than skylake will not be supported at all. these processors will require win10.

Maybe put different account roles, like when we sign up for online we can be weekly aggressive, or nonweekly and peaceful. or even nonweekly moderate warlike, etc. Have different areas of the grid for different type players. It may be a fast operating system, but it sure as hell ain't the new xp. Not until the adware and the trackers in telemetry get removed. Plus, it's a bit more mobile now considering that there is now an app market, windows phone and even xbox1 are all based on this windows 10 foundation. It's not the xp we know and love. Sure, it's better than 8, 8.1 but not quite xp. As far as compatibility is concerned, though, I will agree it is a very fast-running operating system that can run on anything from a virtual machine to any system running 7 or above.

Outside of battle, Dig acts like an escape rope, allowing you to instantly exit a cave and even some buildings.Also I don't know if the vending machine can be broken in the last test version. Maybe you are playing on the last stable version which stops at Celadon City.If not, maybe clearing the Rocket Hideout in the casino makes so it's repaired when you come back to the Department Store.

If there happens to be a CLI version, your best bet might be to either use that or to pipe its output into a text file and read that. Might work best. I did use it at university, but I had a note taker assigned to me so I asked her to help me read it. It definitely wasn't accessible years ago anyway, not with NVDA.

Hello,I had no idea that admins or masters could check your location even if you disabled it, didn't even know admins could get your ip as well. if it's so, I agree that it should be disabled. if you don't want people to know your location, no one should.As far as I know, most admins here are not children. True, I'm still a teenager, but I wouldn't go and check that information, I have no reason to, and I respect people's privacy.
