So just curiously, how do these passwords work? I've just thrown the site into google translate, and I see a bunch of words, but I'm guessing they're rough translations of the actual words. It said I'd then need to enter them in Katakana? I've found the english one, and like DD said its pretty easy. I don't know any Japanese what so ever, so if I have to read/sort them in katakana, I'm screwed. Unless I can learn an entirely new language in a week.

What's your favorite audio drama

Hey all, pokeboss here. I have come to ask you all about your favorite audio dramas. I, myself, have three favorites.  We're alive: This audio drama is just the best audio drama for zombies out there. The story line is great, the voice acting and sounds are great as well.  The leviathan chronicles: While i haven't finished it yet, it's a great audio drama if you like great fights! I mean, [[wow]]! How mutch more gorier and serious er can they be! A great storyline, with great sounds and voice acting.  Our fair city: A most interesting in to the future si fi thriller. The storyline is from the point of view of the brodcaster. It is told from a radio in an audio drama. Therefore, it is an audio drama inside an audio drama! They're still finishing up the story, so, they'll start season seven in may twenty-first, i believe. And they do blooper reals and other stuff in between seasons to get you hiped for the next one. I love th
 ere storyline and character acting. Hey! Fun fact! Did you know that some of their sounds ar made from scratch? Yeah, that's awesome!  Anyway, please share with me and tell me what are your favorites. Thank you very mutch!

I didn't put a date on purpose. I wanted to get an idea of how many people were interested before setting a date.I have 4 people signed up so far.I'm going to try and host the meeting tomorrow at 1 PM eastern, 10 pacific.If you can't make it don't sweat it, we'll just be meeting to get aquainted. Though if everybody shows up on a timely manner we might just hop into the teaching. Look in your Undead Assault folder for a folder called Config. If you have that folder, go into it and delete the game.conf file and try launching it again. I actually just came across this problem recently when trying to put UA on my tablet. I don't know if I just got lucky and that fixed it, or if that's actually a fix. Manuel would probably have to clarify that one.

Hi Locutus.My advice is stick with winamp. I never did have luck with vlc the few times I tried to convert video to audio was a big waste of time and nvda didn't work well with vlc neither did jaws. Even though winamp has been discontinued it's still very user friendly.Hth.

Hi. @steve I see what you mean about other payment methods, but I can't just make some account on 3 other services and link it up to my website, that's not how it works. Paypal was hard enough as it is. I had to get parental permission to do it legally, and have an honest answer to anyone who asks. I needed an SSN in there, i'm gonna have to deel with just pay pal taxes... I can't just, go add other payment methods, though I completely get whare you are coming from. The reason I can't stop this trading is because I think that should be warented under the propper consitions, or I would have done something about it ages ago. People should be able to trade in pop cans for DFC's. Someone should be able to buy someone who is banned from pay pal some death free cards and hand them over. I want my players to be able to have that freedom. I could stop all that entirely paid or non paid accounts, but I don't want to have to. I hope some of my points make 
 a little sence. Also, rules.txt is being worked on, considering carefully how I wanna write things/the right rules that won't make people completely go nuts because I made a bad rule or something. It'll be out next STW ver.

well i joined yesterday, and just became a ranger. Rather excited, bloody diciple course was confusing for quite a while. the Messenger course was probably my second favorite, and the hunter course my first. The people are helpful, but i do find npcs fighting to be hard to stumble upon. And i do not know if i did something wrong, but thus far, i installed the sound pack for this game but have heard no sounds yet, is there a reason perhaps? For now, i find this game to be nice and a good descriptive world.

VLC Media Player, any experts?

Hi folks,Have a question for you all. For the past ten years or so now I've used Winamp as my primary media player for pretty much everything. However, I've recently begun to wonder if it might be time to switch over to something else. To that end, my next choice would be VLC Media Player, which seems to be able to handle pretty much any media format I can throw at it and then some. Thing is though, while I can do basic operations with it, a lot of the interface seems to be inaccessible, at least with Jaws. Does anyone have significant experience using this player? If so, is there a way to make the UI more Jaws-friendly? For example, I don't seem to be able to have nearly as fine a control of seeking with VLC as I do with Winamp, and when I tried the go to time option, I couldn't make heads nor tails of it.Any help would be appreciated... Including someone telling me that it can't be done. That way I can stop fiddling with it and go back to W

I for one am impressed with this first effort. I figured out what the problem was, you just put the wrong dll into the folder, it was msvcp110.dll, it needs msvcr110.dll, simply putting that dll from braillemon into the colors folder fixed the issue. The game also crashed for me when trying to press w in the woods. I will happily contribute to your kickstarter. Keep up the great work.

So everyone I installed Debian in a vm. During the install I had speech to install the system. I installed grub. When I rebooted into the fresh install I had no speech. I could type commands but had no speech. So did I do something wrong?

Hi,I've noticed this with more than just STW, so to Sam, don't think that this is only your game, or that your an exception to this. Honestly, that's what's become of most of the blind gaming community anyway. Spamming, hacking, etc. There is a point when maturity needs to take place. Going back to ultra power, the exact thing happened to it at the end of its lifetime. I'm not going to be the idiot who constantly brings up the crap with that, but still. the last time I played STW was last year. The reason for this is mostly the same things I previously pointed out. Are we going to be forced to pay for these games, just because of some lowlife asshole who has nothing better to do than to rip off a developers work? I for one support Daigonite in her efforts. The reality is, the sighted demographic is bigger, so it would make sense for her to approach that market first -- it helps her amass funds and resources.Lets be honest. How many kick starters targeted specifically for the audio gaming atmosphere have succeeded? I'm fairly sure I can count the number of successful campaigns on one hand, with five fingers left over. Given that kind of history, it's no wonder that Daigonite might not see the audio gaming community as a money tree.Beyond that, there are plenty of games which were never made for blind players, but were just accidentally playable, or become playable with some degree of adaptation, and yet we happily spend money on them. Hello. I understand that you are making a game for the sighted and are adding accessibility to it. With what you are saying,, I will not be donating to this project.If it were me and I decided to make a game for the sighted and blind I would develop both ways of playing at the same time. For example, if I added a building I would make a graphic for it and  a sound so that the blind person would know what kind of building they are about to enter and so on. After all that is complete I would release the demo to everyone and get there feedback and after that I would make a funding page and I would ask what funding page is prefered and give a list.I guess what i'm trying to say is this; remember both audiences are equal and should be treated as such. Do not put one above the other. At the moment it seams that you are putting your sighted players above your blind players. Hi.Although I haven't been on STW in a little while, I wanted to put my 2 sense into this issue.While I agree that there does need to be a rules file to istablish rules and regulations for everyone, that does not excuse players trying to cheet. I'm not saying everyone did, because there are people out there who have worked long and hard to get the items they have now, and for this reason I too think the game needs to be a fully payed one. However, I think people need to use common sense and ask themselves, "what does cheeting mean? Does it mean that I can get on the server and just get 250 of every item and just give them all to every player on the game?" No it doesn't. A few to a moderate amount of items I can understand, but not hords and hords of them. I think common sense and logic needs to be put into account, and people need to realize that just because there is no rules file doesn't mean they can just cheet all they want. There 
 is playing a game fairly, so that everyone has qqual playing ground, and then there is playing a game so that you yourself or your friends ard advantaged over everyone else.Long story short, just because there isn't a rules file yet (and again I agree that there should be), doesn't mean that you can do whatever you want in the game.

Again, I'm sorry that I don't have all of your requirements for an acceptable demo, and that's fine, but it seems like your judgements are coming from your expectations (a blind game) rather than what I'm attempting to actually deliver (a sighted game with an early version of an accessibility engine). You're being awfully conf
 rontational when I haven't even put out the KS yet...And no, it's not silly, the whole point of a demo is to show an incomplete product to try to encourage people to invest in it. That's the reason why I'm starting a kickstarter in the first place.

@Guitarman, Glad things are working out better, and I hope your brother is able to either sort whatever problem he has out himself or be able to seak help to do so. @Tjt, people do! use facebook at least for personal things, but with it being so much more public and so much easier to link random posts to ones that have nothing to do with yours, I don't think it's quite as easy to make sure your conversation stays within the community you want it to and other less savory characters don't chime in, heck we've all heard stories of the facebook trolls. I also confess I don't like facebook myself sinse I didn't like the way that you basically get bombarded with lots of "Jo has just had his breakfast", or "Do you know Jane Tompson" type of messages all over the place. Yeah I heard about A Blind Legend being on Steam. However, on Android you just pay if you want to buy lives; on Steam you have to buy the game itself! About the game mentioned by Aaron, I haven't played it yet. Oh and Guitarman, you can cut out Storm8's games from the list: they stopped accepting new accounts for Vampires Live and Zombies Live... unfortunately! The error basically means that the tts engine cannot be initialized. I cannot tell what causes that error from just that message alone. Usually windows will give another error, such as claiming some DLL could not be initialized. Not sure why it's causing issues if the file is in the folder but my suspicion is that the file had a similar name. It sounds like it can't communicate with some library. I'm guessing this is because I either put the wrong one in there or what. I'm not at a computer atm but that would be my best guess. If all else fails you can copy the dlls from braillemon to here - if braillemon is working then this will work too because it's using the same engine. [ a-t ] Death - if you could try to trigger the error again that'd be really nice, thanks. [ a-t ] Brad - the game is not complete with accessibility features. The major reason is because I want to get the demo out and I don't want to use possibly 
 copyrighted sounds in the demo, and I don't have time to make all accessibility sounds. However the game is somewhat navigable through the use of the the walking echo, and a few orientation keys (a location menu and current coordinates). It's not much but I know it's at least usable for the purposes of introducing the demo. I don't know what you're talking about in regards to the menus, the menu has mostly everything available by pressing various keys like in braillemon. I'm still working on implementing instructions but some menus even have f1 help. Did you not enable accessible mode?It's kind of silly to expect me to complete a game in 3 months but we've gone over this in the past I suppose...

hi,I think there is a site called theaudiodramadirectory.com or something like that, there you can brows different cats and choose the one you like, and quite a lot of dramas podcasts etc. some may not be available while a few may sound terrible, but still a good source if one says it that way.however, I like the audio dramas with good story and awesome sound effects and all, we're alive and leviathan chronicles on the list. just about the best ones I've heard so far.enjoy

Hi. @Sid512, To answer your question I live in the US. so I have access to bard and bookshare. I get most of my books from bookshare in braille and read them on my BrailleNote. Unfortunately, if you live outside the US. things are messy because apparently governments can't get it together long enough to hammer out what's going on with copyright laws.@Blindncool, well I'm good at finding people exactly what they want to read. Just tell me what kind of mystery you like and I will give you suggestions. I do this for people sometimes and it seems to work.

hi, actually I don't remember hearing about any libraries by yukio, but I suppose there was one containing some 300 odd sounds which were raw sounds, more like original work with some random toys and other stuff I don't know about, not exactly the kind of pack one would want for good sounds to use and so on.there might be others, but I remember hearing about that one.another huge pack called fx.rar was there by a person called jondaler sekhon back in 2011 I suppose, although that person may be still around by username defender, if my memory serves right. in brief, I kind of managed to grab hold of that one, and its a hell of a pack, if one considers the amount of sounds for a free sp like that one. yeah, lots of sounds there were a part of other games like mushcliant and space sounds which were included in soundpacks for a few muds and all that, but a fair share of sounds do belong to other places as well, and pretty good too. hm, I found a few music t
 racks which sounded epic to included in a small audio drama with some sound effects but I don't have the required patience to learn the whole process let alone making a good audio, though I'm actually desperate to start learning the process, could be after the other busy stuff is dealth with, lol.anyways, I also tried sounddogs but their sample sounds are so horrible in quality that one may not want to keep them in their recycle bin let alone other locations.I also hate the free sound effect sites which require you to make an account in order to get their stuff etc.regards

I would not preorder it as it is unlikely to be accessible enough at launch to be able to get a kill. However, the open beta is free. Rather than the game getting playable, it's more that it is doing interesting things with audio that haven't been done in a mainstream FPS before. So firstly it'll be interesting to take a look at, and secondly there might even be some easy tweaks to speak to the developers about that would make it more accessible.

hi,just wondering though, from where the heck you guys get most of novels you all claim to be reading or have read in past. actually, a huge amount of whatever books I'm having were obtained from torrents, that too quite a few in epub etc. many are well known ones I suppose, no idea how one grabs hold of the ones which aren't commonly heard or popular and them manages to read them too. actually I'm one of those who don't enjoy sticking to a particular activity unless interested, and don't easily like to give up after being hooked to something. hary potter books for example, probably because of some disruption and decent reading speed, I was able to cover all 7 books 3 years ago, took 12 days approx., and I don't remember doing anything else accept reading at that time, lol.however, I stumbled upon a couple of books by an author don'tremember his name but their plot sounded quite interesting and exactly what I'd want to read, but
  wasn't able to find a readable version ever. same is true for some others as well. so yeah, on one hand I may have access to a few good books and might even consider reading them ahead, but reading the ones I want at a particular time or checking out some of the less famous ones remains the problem,  atleast as of now.regards.

Hello Milos.Read the map making guide. Also look at other people's maps to use as an example. It mostly comes down to numbers and making different types of enemies and turraine. For sounds there are a lot of places to get sound libraries some are free, some you have to pay for. If you don't want to go looking for sounds you could ask somebody to make them for you but trust me it's easier to get sounds on your own.Hth.

I have to say tat I have tried to run braillemon because I have thought that I am missing some components, but braillemon is working well, but in this game I have this error.When first value of config file is as zero as default this game works but without accessibility, but when accessibility is truned on, this game gives me this stupid error, and after pressing abort button it works also without accessibility.

Hey all, It's rusty99 again. I see a lot of bullshit and a lot of grait speeches. Honestly, why do people cheat, why are people so ungreatful. A couple of great questions that cannot be answered easily. So keep in mind, I haven't played stw ever since last year in August. No I wasn't done with the game, my computer broke. I will see you soon in June though, and Sam you know from knowing me a little in the past, that I have some pretty good ideas, like the alt space command. So, sit back, relax and listen to some ideas which you can ignore, or, you can take this in to consideration. First, I have a great idea. I know offline mode is not an option, but, take it into consideration. If people cheat offline, let them, they'll get knowwhere. Or, do it like trtr, make separate servers, or creat an stw match with your friends, and play. Now this might sound like another one of Josh's posts, but maybe think about it. Or how about a trust game. Let's say surviv
 e the wild. Sam has a huge comunity, and he has cheaters and noncheaters, he can do a trust command on the noncheaters, and delete the cheaters. Now, you have a comunity with noncheaters and no cheaters. If you creat a character, you have to be allowed. You can't creat and cheat, creat and cheat. Hard serial bann sounds great! I don't know how complicated it would be, but it would be great! Now, at the beginning of this new topic, I was like fuck this game, I'm out. But that's just not a good way to handle things! I wouldn't have been so ungreatful if my char was deleted. Stop being so addicted to the damn game, and cut Sam some slack! Seriously, stop complaining and get a life. I'm sorry that your char was deleted, but come on! I miss the pk days, because i could kill anyone I wished. Some of you guys need to relax. Don't get me wrong, I was an ass, and complained all the time, and still do. I'm beginning to realize, that you have to here bot

Hello.The game demo works for me. It's not my kind of thing. The game sounds are to... old sounding for my liking but that's the stile of the game I guess.There does not seam to be any way to oexit the game at the moment. The only way that works makes use of the task manager.I won't be donating to this game at this time. I'm sorry to say that if you make a kickstarter page for it, I don't think it will get much money.Let me explain why I think this. From a blind point of view the game has a couple bugs. I understand it's a demo and that's why i'd not make a kickstarter for it. There is no way to exit the game at the moment, it is not clear where you are in the game. There is no way to tell if you are passing an object and the items in battle are inaccesssible.
