Good to hear, and I look forward to trying this game, though I do think an ios version would be nice especially if you can play with gestures and thus get a bit more physical feeling of a fight to the death. The Romans also had a  habbit of pitting people against various nasty beasties, lions and tigers and bears oh my! (I even heard they once flooded the grand collossium to have crocodiles and hippos and mock sea battles), so something of this with different opponents and stratogies might be fun. I unfortunately probably won't be able to support the game by buying a medel, though I do hope there is an Ios version and I'll look forward to playing it then.

Well speaking as someone who  is getting married in less than two weeks to a lady I first met online on a mailing list, I can say that cyber relations are no substitute for the real thing, however intense things are between you.  My lady and I exchanged emails for a while, but neither of us thought of actually becoming more than friends, indeed the idea of doing that with someone not physically present was entirely alien to me. It wasn't until she came to England to attend the same music school I go to that we realized how much we really clicked, and then we switched to the telephone. My  lady and I exchanged emails for a good  five or six months just as friends with neither of us actually thinking things would go farther (apparently she did a little but I certainly didn't). It wasn't until she attended the same music school i go to in April of last year that I actually began to realize my feelings for her weren't those I
 'd have towards a friend, and it was a good few phone calls later that we admited our feelings to each other, indeed part of the reason we're getting married on the third of July is that is a year to the day since we admited we loved each other. Even then, it wasn't until we met up at the next aims music school event in august that we both really acknolidged that we needed to try to be together, and only after we tried this for a week in november and realized that we could live together quite successfully that we decided on anything more perminant. There is a lot that goes into a relationship, including some very small, quite obscure little things. There are a huge number of compatibilities and little nuances that have to either match up or be coped with. My lady and I were lucky in that we have such a compatible chemistry it is frankly terrifying, but even this wasn't certain until we'd spent time together, ot to know each other as friend
 s, and heck done the really silly things like living together, cooking and washing dishes together etc. Cyber relations are a nice way to know people, but really it's far too cold a way to actually start a full blone relationship, even with voice chatting, since there is so much that is involved in beinng! with anoher person, things you just don't learn unless your physically present, and things which you won't learn if your trapped into the conventional boy asks girl on date, boy wants to make out, girl either lets him or not type of structure, indeed I was reading a book recently which said how bad that formula was for actually starting relationships with people and how many men and women were trapped into essentially very dire relationships just because of sterriotypical patterns and gender rolls, with men being seen as nothing more than a means to status money and security and women being seen as basically just an adjunked to the home.  f you can't be friends with someone you certainly shouldn't be looking for a relationship, and part of a relationship is learning to physically live and be present with someone which is just something you can't do through text.

With the Walter situation. That is the one instance when, in nearly 9 years of moderation, I have actually felt there was a legitimate, real, and physical threat to members of the community. This extended rather beyond Walter's behaviour on Survive the wild into other things he's done. no, normally we would not intervine on such a matter, but the case was so extreme that members were reporting to me they did not feel safe on the forum. Yes, all the evidence and the several testimonies I recieved  could! have been falsified, but the corroboration by different people was what convinced me and I had to act in the judgement of what I felt was best for the community in that case, knowing indeed that it would! make me unpopular. I will also say that it disappoints me that people are so quick to assume that lying has occurred and blame the victims. I cannot and will not ask anyone involved to publicize the information regarding Walter's behaviour, b
 ut with attitudes as they are from some quarters it's not too surprising that they choose to do things in confidence, and I'd be a pretty cruddy moderator if I went and broke that confidence. As to the trouble making, I will say another problem is that I have likely been less involved with the forum recently than I could be due to basicaly getting married and changing a lot of circumstances in my life. I can no longer spend several hours a day reading the forum, checking many topics and dealing with things on the spot. This is also why I encourage people to use the report link when people like Blink wizard cause issues regarding hacks etc, since the moderators are not omnipresent, and the more we know about drama trolls and such, the more likely action is to be taken, since while as others have said we like to take things easy for the most part and hope people will calm down, a point is reached when enough is enough and if posts are reported it's likely certain
  people will reach that point sooner than later, or at least see that point approaching and hopefully clean up their act.I'll also say that I've noticed that certain people have a habbit of wanting to cause trouble for the sake of causing trouble, and as part of that will also try and  aggrandise themselves by exasserbating the size of the trouble they actualy caused. In truth I'd say %95 of the topics on the board are still drama free, and generally the hacks and drama only occur with a specificset of individuals, indeed the drama as I said above seems to occur in individuals of! that set, so while I take these points very seriously and will be keepin a watch on reports (as much as I can), I equally don't think we need to be sounding the claxons for defcon one quite yet.

According to this bug report filed almost a month ago, it seems pefile's Python 3.x support was recently added and is still a bit buggy, which may be related to your issue. One of the posters linked to a possible fix:stephenrauch commented 23 days agopefile recently added py3 support, and it still has a few challenges. It appears that pefile has a utf-8 encoded character at that position (208687), and pefile's setup.py is choking with your default encoding (cp950). I will submit a bug and fix to the pefile repo, but that will not help you in the short term as you need to get a working copy of pefile (that supports python 3.5) installed.I recently checked in a slightly modified copy of pefile to this repo. If you copy it into site-packages and edit the err
 ant character (which is in a comment in line 5326) you might then be able to get pyinstaller going.

@Draq: I've only ever made costumes out of fabric, but some people use foam or a heat-sensitive material called Worbla to make armour and weaponry. I haven't been able to mess around with that kind of material yet, but I'd like to. So... I'm not a beginner, but I'm not super experienced either. I don't know everything.@Aaron: I'll try to describe it. In Ruby and Sapphire, the original games, they wear red hoodies with large, rounded hoods, jaggedly cut off sleeves, and torsos that only extend to about belly button height. The hoods have a small black oval in the front center. Attached to the hoods are two small horns, sort of like devil horns-- they look more plush than hard, though. Their hoodies have a large black letter 'M' that is stylized to appear like a mountain. It's kind of spiky. Beneath the hoodie they wear a tightly fitting black shirt.All magma grunts wear boots which are very... puffy? And round. They
 39;re segmented sort of like a parka. It sort of looks like snow pants that lead into a boot, except that the snow pants only reach slightly below your knees. They wear gloves of a similar style, which puff out in a circle around the wrist but lead into a glove.Female magma grunts wear a short skirt and male magma grunts wear very baggy black pants. They both wear belts with square-shaped buckles in the middle.As for the pokemon they have, Magma Grunts tend to have Poochyenas, which look like a small dog, and Numels, which look like a very short, fat camel with one hump.New Magma Grunts from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are almost the same, but they looks like they're wearing a red wooly onesie under all their clother (except for the female magma grunt's legs, which are bare). The male magma grunt's pants become red, their belt buckles become wider and appear to be directly attached to the pants, and their boots also incorporate the textured wool

if you like messing with soundtrack, you'll love what I'm cooking up. It's a soundtrack2 edit, a bit outdated maybe, with harmonic capability, allowing you to do additive synthesis. And soundtrack2 comes with drums, but you're right, they kinda suck. You could use dactrack to stick some drum samples in there, but as cae says, beware rounding errors. Beware them heavily. I'm wondering what more i should add before a final release of ultrasoundtrack, the bgt tone synth is quite limiting...

Hello.Having perchiced the game I can say it is another here and react game.I beat it in about an hour, if I could skip scenes it might have been less time than that.here are some bugs:1. When you go in to the Inn and press alt. it says something about starting a new game which I'm quite sure it shouldn't do.2. In the last battle menu, you are unable to check your health and armour.3. You can still walk around and use your weapon before the game ends and you are taken back to the menu with the Inn and  blacksmyths.4. The narator of the game says gun smyth twice. I can assure you, they wouldn't have a gun smyth in these times. 5. I think there's something wrong with the money system as you can buy all the high end weapons after every fight and the armour and shields too.With me saying all that, I di
 d think that the voice acting was okay and I will support the developers in the future.

I can understand a lot of sets of armors, weapons etc but actually every enemy is more or less the same.I expected something like big colloseum with high adrenaline battles in real time with ability to move around the arena, make combos, dodges, block etc but this is just hear and react. There's game much better in my opinion to be fair, The blind swordsman.

Way too much of this sounds familiar. the parts that don't are fairly encouraging, though.I'm not sure if it'd be appropriate for me to summarize the various examples I'm thinking of (there was an agreement not to bring up one of them to certain people but I'm not sure if it extends here and that was 11 years ago and I don't know how she'd feel about it now and I feel like asking would violate the agreement).Is the forum breaking up into cliques? I think it might be. That is a rather volatle situation that no one has ever really managed to solve. I'm hoping @dino might be able to provide some info here too, but here's what I think: Some of the costumes are really expensive and are sort of plastic but seem really, really detailed. Some suits, like Predator who is a tall character, are actually made out of latex and believe me I got to try on the mask and it's heavy. Seriously, I don't know how the cosplayers go around in that thing! I'm not sure what a borg costume would be made of. THe thing is, a lot of these costumes are custom made so that's what makes the price go so high. It's not even just about price, the cosplayers will actually put hundreds of hours of effort into their costumes, so it's what we'd call a labour of love.

I think this was one of the first tikon blue games I've played since the inquisitor searies where I felt I got my money's worth. I like the fact that there are continously new weapons, armors and shields to unlock as you go through the battles, and that each battle has an enemy description of it's own as well as different main menu intro voice files. The only thing that disapointed me a bit is that all the enemies felt more or less the same and all of them sounded the same. That's pretty much the only negativ thing I have to say on this game, I like everything else about it.

In this case, the monkey you play as in Monkey Bananza is actually the backstory of and same monkey in Griff 2. This quick addition did not in any way impede or change plans for EOW. Edge of Winter is a long term more serious game with some professional voice actors, so there's a big difference between that and taking a day to make a side game for Griff 2 upon request from some fans for it to have a mini game. I hope this clears up any confusion and thanks for anyone supporting the cause of real-time audio games with characters and play like that of video games.

i have readthis topic and the pyglet docs. but on thing i still have yet to grasp is how to do multiple screens or menus. such as what audiogame_engine does.for example, i have class one, 2, and three. with associated on_key_down functions. i can push class one on to the stack, bu i have no idea about how to go about switching to the second or third class. i was able to duplicate what audiogame_engine does when i was working with pygame, but i had control over everything then. what do people suggest. do i need to roll my own event loop even though the pyglet docks say don't?

Either run it from the Windows console like this:py Or use the interactive prompt, which you can either access from the start menu, or, as of python 3.something, just type "python" from anywhere in a console window. Personally I think IDEs are kind of overrated, especially if you're new to coding; it's better to get some knowledge of the command line up front as it can potentially give you a lot more control and make your life easier.

Hm, I think this post may belong in the developer section, heh.Anyway, the default interpreter that comes with python called IDLE doesn't really play nice with screen readers unfortunately. There are other developers here who usually use either notepad or the command prompt for writing and running code. However, I did discover that the PythonWin interpreter seems to work with NVDA, although to view any text output you have to switch window views in it. Either way, you could give it a shot by installing Pywin32 64 bit version and see if it works for you.

What I'm mostly interested in is what people make their costumes out of and how similar it is to the original costumes actors wear. Especially for the really good costumes like stormtrooper armor. I know there are professionally made costumes that can get quite expensive. One that comes to mind is the premium Darth Vader costume that actually has injection mold plastic pieces. Also, anyone ever seen a quality borg costume and know how those are made?

Hi. Yes, I totally understand and am glad that everyone is trying to make the forum as good as possible. Of course I know you are just human and everyone makes mistakes. Also, I know that aprone is completely right about one thing, but slightly wrong on one stance. I got my self farther into the bad guys than I wanted to, maybe that just has to do with me trying to figure out everything I shouldn't even be touching. But weather it is a conversation I got randomly added into or something I saw in a chat or whatevs, these guys like blink wizard and others, they don't think there is going to be mod action. They don't make these choices because they think the mods are going to make a bad choice, they do it because they feel the rediculis need to proove that the moderation teem is terible. Do I agree? No, I don't, of course. I feel that there have been a fiew situations that even now I question aka walter, but i'd never do what they're doing. What they do 
 lowers the forum morale, simply because they post this stuff then go around off the forum saying to everyone possible, hey, look what I did. The mods arn't doing anything. Again, I totally disagree with all this. I understand that you guys are actually propper humans who have both a life off of the internet and that you have to agree on things. However, harsh as this may sound they don't. They sleep, wake up, eat, then go right back to hacking one guy or another. I say this out of what i've scene, none of it is asumption, but so as to not start anything, I won't say anything more about that. One of everyones biggest problems right now, why these people are getting away with it, why the walter situation started everything, was because of how walter was just boom! gone. No one quite knows what he did. Then, when the ultrapower clones and all these other flame wars started, and nothing happened, people thought they could get away with what ever, and then started try
 ing to get the inisent people banned, to ruin there reputation as walters was ruined. Like I said, I understand that dark has is reasons for doing what he did, and the mod reasons for not being able to do something, but asdly this changes nothing from the actual users. The more mature people will realise you have stuff going on, but even to them, even to me before I actually read your guyses posts, the one sentence, walter was banned with out a reason and these people are geting a way free, oh, red flag, bad moderation! That's what everyone thinks instantly. That's why everyone wants the walter proof so badly. Speaking of which dark, if it's ok with you, I may contact you privately about the matter. Again though, I feel as if personally I get it, your busy and have to agree on things, dark has his reasons for banning walter and the busyness stopps the action on these guys trying to ruin the forum, but I hope you understand ware i'm coming from in terms of what i&
 #039;ve heard from the general comunity. before I can do what I always do and repeat my self, based on what I've heard so far from you guys and others I can't think of anything else to say right now. At least, I think a topic should be created in a room that's a bit more public to tell people your side of what's going on. I believe Aaron is on the same page I am.Side note... with all of our moderators here in the same thread, at the same time, what happens if this thread gets deleted?  Aren't the moderators supposed to always be kept some minimum distance away from each other, so we can't all be destroyed or something?  Maybe I'm thinking of the president and vice president, but I'm pretty sure in school it was forum moderators they were teaching us about.Okay back on track.  I agree with Sam that the Walter thing seemed to kick off a long lasting period of increased drama.  The problem we have is that when things got overly crazy it meant that my fellow moderators and I tried to be extra careful not to add to the crap-storm.  By our being extra careful, it meant people got away with stuff for longer as behind the scenes the moderator team talked it all over trying to agree on the right course of action.  In the past, pre-Walter-issue I
  mean, usually one of us would just jump right in and deal with situations.So as counter intuitive as it may sound, the bad situation is actually a major reason things have not seemed to improve.  None of us want to jump in and maybe make a wrong decision that will lower forum morale further, but by taking our time the delay itself it lowering forum morale.  We're stuck in a lose lose situation at the moment.To add to the problem we've expanded the moderation team.  I should stop and clarify that expanding the team is almost certainly a Good thing, but the act of expending it will have negative effects in the short term.  Having more moderators seems like the best way to have more "eyes" on the many ongoing threads, but it also means we have more people weighing in whenever issues do come up.  There are more people to toss in their opinions on whether or not a situation needs to be moderated, and more people that need to ult
 imately agree on the right way to do the moderating.  It makes it easier for us to spot trouble makers and flame wars starting, but then adds more time before we agree on what to do about it.The forum's lower morale is also causing more and more people to cause trouble just for the sake of causing trouble.  More often than not, they do things just to try to force moderators to make unpopular decisions, or cause trouble just so they can point out some of these past situations (such as the Walter, Steam, or various UP clones).  So on top of everything else, the number of trouble makers and drama trolls has increased.We take 1 step forward and then 2 steps back.

I cosplay, and I've done so both at larger conventions and smaller, more focused ones. My first cosplay was as a pokemon trainer, but it wasn't very good since I put it together very quickly. My second was Hawkeye from The Avengers, but it was his comic book outfit and not his movie outfit-- the comic book outfit is a lot simpler and easier to make look great. My most recent was a cosplay of an anime character called Mew Ichigo, who is a 'neko' character, meaning she has cat ears and a tail, which were a lot of fun to make and wear at a convention.My next cosplay will probably be a 'Magma Grunt', a type of character from Pokemon's Hoenn region. Team Magma is one of the villain groups from Hoenn, their goal being to drain the oceans so that there is more land than water on Earth. The magma grunts are their lowest level members, but their uniform is pretty cool. Aaron mentioned "Feel The Force Day", and I'm going to wear it to
  one of those events after I've made it.

Fandoms, conventions and the idea of cosplaying

This topic is for those who might be interested in the idea of cosplaying, whether that's meeting cosplayers or even trying your hand at one. It's also about conventions.As an example, there's a massive convention in the US called comic con and every year thousands of people gather to discuss and share their love of franchises.At these events, you get what are called cosplayers. These are people who, quite often, create their own costume based on a character and some of them can be really detailed, while others can be inspired by a character. What I've noticed is that the cosplay community seems really inclusive, so even if it's just a basic costume people are welcome.I was first introduced to this idea at an event in the UK called Feel The Force Day, which is something I've mentioned on here before. It's a small convention, and there was a lot of room to move around and meet all of the cosplayers. What's more it cost me £5, unlike comic con which can cost upwards of £30. While comic con seems to be more about celebrities, the smaller conventions seem to cater more towards fandom, which basically means people who like different franchises, and who introduce each other to these franchises.So at Feel The Force there were loads of things. It wasn't just about Star Wars. In fact, the first thing I ever encountered, was someone dressed as a minion from Despicable Me. When I said Hello, they actually said hello back using a similar voice to the minions from the films. There are other cosplayers who will just use their normal voice but will be very happy to talk, some of the costumes can be really detailed. It was here where I first learned, for instance, that some Disney characters have gloves and tiaras, and I actually learned what a tiara was. It seems very different to the clothes we normally wear, for instance ic you meet a stormtrooper they have quite heavy armour-type material and will often bring noisy blasters.I'm not entirely sure what else to say at the moment as this post is getting quite long, so I'll give someone else the chance, and of course if anyone has any questions feel free to ask. I'll start off by saying this though: I've not tried cosplaying myself yet, I just like pretty much exploring.

As a moderator I'm also going to have to step in here and say that I've not encountered so much drama before, and it's taking a while to sort out the mess, or becoming even more difficult at times as it's just increasing. We don't want to just act and find out that we're wrong (and I mean very very wrong) and cause unrest. By the same token I realize that things have been sort of quiet lately for instance getting some stuff sorted and also the Steam situation, and it's because for me personally I want to deal with things quite delicately and definitely not rush into it.

at mayana.well Most of the time internet relations became into... well... people being married. I don't know if it's the main klango adds but they are telling on there website some couples got indeed married on there so yeah. Btw on the time we're living it's not kinda too bad to have cyver relations.at jonicster:you can try dating anyone at stw or swamp, it usually works and you're most of the times reported.

Heh heh, yes indeed. They've finally worked out that selling at absurd prices doesn't work, so they're going to slip this one in under the radar.Anyway Arq, no I'm afraid you actually have to transcend the waters of the Atlantic Ocean before you can have your copy of JFW on the cheap.But on the upside my brother, who has been "Borrowing" my JAWS licence forever now, will finally be able to purchase his own copy and leave me alone, and thereby in all likelihood spare me the need to upgrade in the future.

greetings fellow timekillers.makiopack#1 first edition is about to be released! this edition basically includes detonators. Such as grenades, missiles, cannons, etc. I'm out of ideas and currently I only have those 3, but lets see if my mind thingy comes with anything special. Python question

Hi all:For those of you who have experience with this, I'm wondering how to use the Python interpreter from python.org.  I'm learning to code with Python, and am looking for a way to test some code offline.I'm obviously a noob at this, so I'm sorry if my terminology of "interpreter" isn't correct.I'm learning from Codecademy, which has been successful so far.  I can test online with the script editor built in to practice with the course, and I'm gleaning that if I just create a notepad document and rename the file extension to .py it'll be run by the interpreter.  Please let me know if I'm wrong.I'm running 3.5.1 on Win10.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Luke

Well while it is true that I have not been able to spend as much time dealing with forum issues as I would've liked as  Nocturnus has said, at the same time I find it a little ironic that these very same things have been said by different people several times before, it happens roughly once every three years or so. I believe it tends to occur due to an influx of people (often but not always teenagers), who tend to bounce off each other combined with a couple of trouble makers who stir things up and get everyone annoyed. Generally one of two things happens in the resolution, either the trouble makers push things too far and get banned, or they settle down (I can think of a couple long standing members who's earlier career on this forum did not start well), one reason why we try to not be so quick to judge, because mistaken punishment for those who aren't guilty is a far worse thing than the opposite.As Arq said we generally hold things at a fairly r
 elaxed pace on the forum, though I will remind people of the report link and the fact that now we have more people watching the reports they're far more likely to get dealt with. As to the Walter affair, that was a one off and something I hope will never! occur again, certainly not symptomatic of what's happened here I think.Btw, as regards age range, I believe our oldest members are over 50, while youngest have been about eleven, at least as far as those who actually declared their ages go. For all that though, I've met 40 year olds who behave like selfish, spoiled kids, and 13 year olds who are effectively mature adults.Generally it depends upon the person, and as far as this forum goes, again, if people would just be nice to each other we wouldn't have a problem .

Hi. I think it might be a good idea to get walkthroughs for some of the more complicated dungeons up. For example, some of the team aqua magma hideouts in oral, or reflection cave in x and y. While certainly doable, it would be nice to have step by step directions so we don't have to spend hours in one spot lol. I'm not sure where or what i could post to make some of this stuff happen as soon as possible, but what i have noticed, it that ideas like this come up, and quickly die out because there either isn't enough interest, or no-one posts the appropriate requests on places like reddit or gamefaqs. Just putting that out there, post in more places guys, i'm sure there are plenty of willing sighted people willing to help us out if we post properly and explain what we want clearly.
