Yeah. I should mention that since i've whent back and replayed the original project alpha, its gotten my brain in story mode again. Which means I can continue the project alpha storyline, so yes. This means i'm intending this new project to be the long awaited dm 2, the continuation of the original project alpha storyline. And I already have a few ideas for not only online but an offline single player mode. Lets just say it might reveal why inderion9 in the first game was so easy to obbliterate, what exactly happened to glimmer of hope and her crew, and if you don't already hate the federation from the first game, you'll defanatly hate them on this outing. And i'm hoping I can factor red warp back in, though you might be able to see it in its full 3d glory this time. But a bit, ahem, gutted from that trajic acksadent from the first game.

Guys, what do you expect? Jyro have disappointed us so many times in this topic, so I wander why you still even care about this game. Yes, a lot of us have preordered the game, and I tell you, those money are just thrown out of the window. We will not get any game for our preorder. I don't think we'll get any game until the game is installed on my system, and works as expected.Why all those excuses and promices, if there actually is a game? It looks like the money we have spend on preordering this title has been used to make the two newest sidescrollers, which I don't remember what's called.Long time ago, I desited never to order something from this developer again. Greetings all, so a few more updates to report. Asides from what i've reported last time, the game is now split into 2 modes for online play. Universe mode and death match mode, both modes use my online engine which cuts down development time majorly. So what are these modes you ask? Universe is the ol online stuff your all used to, but with a twist, because i've started custom coding online missions. The first mission has you crash landing a shuttle onto a planet and gathering extra gear to survive until you can escape the planet, i've already started coding on it. Death match mode is a free for all fps stile game in the spirit of games like halo and quake, where you can join a server in a list or create your own, the impressive thing is because they use the same codebase I can port my ground vehicle code over and give you that reel mainstreem fps experience with ground vehicles and all that included, along with differing maps. Asides from that, galactic network te
 rminals again make a return, but unlike the last few times I had them implemented, they have the option to buy or sell stuff, so far buying is implemented. And since my knolige of programming is a lot better than it was last time, I can sell anything at these terminals ranging from weapons to ammo clips, and even though the terminals are online I can not only stop that menu not showing up properly glitch but I can also show the prices along side the items. Skateboards also got an upgrade for navigating around ground locations. Basicly once you get on the bord, like in reality skateboarding left and right kick the bord into action and get it up to speed, you must maintain this kick. While your roling space can jump, else it lets you off and on the bord. As for cross platform support, its still their. I've tested it with linux under a vm again, and this time the games options menu even lets you select a different output module for speech dispatcher. Since i'm no longer using
  bass, mac O S support is a grater possibility this time, all i've gotta do in therey is just configure the code to run using sfml for everything, as aposed to a mixture of libaudioverse and sfml, everything else is again natively compatible. At the moment i'm not actively seeking testers since i'd still like to try and add some more things, but assuming nothing screws up this time you might have something better than dmnb out, and with an actual storyline for online as so menny people have requested. I'm also looking into changing up the old reality software site since it needs a bit of redoing.

I think a crowdfunding campaign with incentives gives people the opportunity to evaluate the library then pay to support future development and get gifts for backers. However, Go Fund Me is a lot more accessible than kickstarter. I don't know for sure if Go Fund Me lets you include gifts for backers, or if you have to do those manually.

HiMr Canine was referring to me.Anyway - looking forward to trying the xbox - assuming I do go for it. It seems that Sony just doesn't care about accessibility and while I understand that the games themselves are not (and most likely never will be) read, it's still nice to have something accessible. Especially because the more and more complicated consoles get the harder it is to remember, at least for me, where things are. It especially would be a pain in the rear to figure out what game is what on the ps4 without speech and, so far as I know, the main menu isn't read allowed unless sony has changed that.Anyway! Just my .02.

Hi,OK, now that the site is back up and running again.I'm noticing something about having to set the region to the US.A family member is actually going to the US for black Friday. If I buy the system from there, would it not come up with US by default? Also, would narrator come up at setup as on windows? Awesome news and asking for your help

Hi all,I have some awesome news.I am about ready to release my new sound library, which is much higher quality than the one I offer at the moment.I am only wondering what would you prefer guys I did.Put it up on Kickstarter and make it free for everybody (with the special gifts for backers), or have it sold just like the first one, with a single payment?Right now as we speak, the sound library is ~4 GB (2669 files) big.This time, the sounds have been recorded with a much better equipment, and have underwent the editing and post-production.I want to share this library with you, but please let me know what would you choose. Kickstarter or standard direct payment.

I know right? I had been digging around into voice synthesis a little bit but this is pretty impressive. Part of me is kind of amused by the timing of it all though, considering the Screen Actors Guild which represents video game voice actors went on [strike last month]. The publishers response though was simply "[we] anticipate minimal impact on current and near-future game releases.", makes me wonder if they knew it was in development, or that if push came to shove they could make such a tool. Either way, the Guilds bargaining power likely just took a big hit, heh.

Hello. I am very sad to write this about Jyro, but I do not understand more his behavior. I have always supported him from the earliest times. I had pre-ordered Airik 1, 2 and 3. After many years I wanted a refund for Airik 2 and 3, which have never been released. In July, he told me that he would send me a refund, but it never arrived despite many written email. I never thought it was a thief, however what I tell you is true, and I gave Jyro many possibilities. Another reason that pushes me to seek reimbursement is the awareness that Jyro is not able to make a game for the blind at a high level. But above all, the refund is motivated by the fact that i am tired of waiting and waiting for a game that will never go out. I'd like to end this situation, but unfortunately it is still suspended.What can I do?Thanks.

As regards changelogs, it'd be nice to have something written in game just because I'm rather taken up with other things of late with my doctoral thesis due date looming at the end of this month and so can't check out every single new version as it appears. Okay, had a brief look at this one. The only miner problem is the map, since if it shows the location of other towns and such playing without could be a bit problematic, but I'm sure the developer wouldn't mind giving a quick list of coordinates of important places. The game seems a fairly usual rpg of the wander around, smack stuff, level up, get better stuff for smacking stuff type, but it actually has exploring and at least a few environmental descriptions which is more than some, and quests might occur later. The sort of game which I'll keep a watch on since if it goes in an interesting direction it could be a really interesting game.

Hey, what's the plot and mechanics of this game?--I'll code it myself.I'm not gonna do that actually, but someone should because I don't think that Giro is. (it's Monday, release week has gone, and... no release). Seriously though. Cast aside the fact that perhaps Giro has a life, because so do Aprone and Sam Tupy and heck, even so did David Greenwood of GMA games when he and the team busted out all those good games.  So honestly I think there is no excuse for this. Pre orders are okay, mainstream developers do that too. But pre orders for a game that it takes 6 months to fix a bug or 2? smh

Well, looks like audiogames.net is back, but noone can log in from that address at the moment. I was trying to login from forum.audiogames.net, and it was driving me crazy that it kept saying that a cookie had not been set. Eventually, I managed to use tcpdump to find out that the domain of the cookie was set to .creativehero.es, and not .audiogames.net. Heh.

I would suggests to make the racing game in real 3d audio with realistic samples of the cars. If you need me on board let me know. I have possibilities to record engines in really complex way so you will get every single pitch of the engine.

@Orin: the person you are looking for is quite obvious, but maybe you did not visit all the rooms in the city itself? No need to get into the castle for this quest.@Dark: indeed it never occured to me that Frandum could be similar to an interactive fiction, given the complete set of RP features, but since our goal is to tell a story and make you feel like you belong into a consistent and original world, it does make kind of sense. When you come back you will be glad to notice that the paladins guild has just opened for followers of Galanhir (in order to right an ancient wrong as this was the only missing alignment guild).A major and vast high-level area is also entering its final stages of building, but you still have time before the riddles will send you there, eh eh.

hi. i played timecrest and i've won it, so i'm gonna give my honest thoughts, what i liked and what i disliked.first, the storyline. well, it's good in some places, in some others it sucks. i really feel timecrest 1 was just to get you up and running with the world, how things work/make you meat a couple of people.second, ending on cliff hanger is not cool, not cool at all. why? well, play through chapter 10 and find out.what i thought of people.the necro girl, i forgot her name is my favorite so i've built up relationship with her first. i like her, parshly because of an aura of secrets about her, parshly because she likes to lie/mess with people, and parshly of the way how she talks.A.C. is my second favorite, mainly because of same things as the necro, though his complaints such as: "i knew it was a bad idea to come here" in chapter 8 are kindof funny.roger, you're up. i think of him as a little jerky/to com
 fident/having a bit too much pride. he's the last guy i'm going to build up relationship with just because i don't really like him.i really enjoyed timecrest and i'm replaying it once again. but a couple of questions.1. does buying the dispel ring werth it? you need to get through the one of mounts passeges in chapter 5. i mean it costs 675 gold...2. in chapter 8 when you get the map of timecrest, cant you make ash go into libery and get the another spell either gravitass or levitass? (i'm sorry, i know i misspell them, but i don't have my i-pad with me so cant really check.)3. a bugs can be found in chapter 7 and 8, mostly with text, but there's one where you don't need to buy teleport orb but you can still use one to get to nightshade forest i think, not sure.4. most of the choices in timecrest are either you're nice to Ash or you don't have a heart at all, that only give replay ability for 2, maximum 
 3 games.5. come on, in chapter 10 you send ash upstairs: ash is climbing. 1h 30min or something. really? i could have ran up the stairs a billion times now.6. this game is good and i cant wait for timecrest 3 or 4, i might even pay if needed.

Hi Sneak. thanks for the instructions, however I'm afraid the complexity of this process really puts me off since I don't want to mess something up, particularly because as I said, my Isp's tech support is pretty dam dreadful, heck I doubt I could get the username and password from them, if it were one setting I could change and then change back possibly, but this involves far more potential to go wrong than I really want to tangle with right now and seems a wy too involved process for something as simple as just running crazy  party and manamon trades. Maybe I'll try when I get a new computer around christmas.

I think part of the problem is that currently I'm working very hard on what will hopefully be the final draught of my thesis, when that's done in a few weeks I'll have time to sort many things out, for now I'll just wait until people start up servers and try them out since my connecting to other people works fine.

Hi dark, to help you with your port forwarding issue, you'll want to do as instructed. Find your internal IP address, if it wasn't configured by you, or if the company left the default settings, it should be something like 192.168.0.1. It should hopefully bring you to a webpage that has a bunch of statistics about your router. There should be a way to log in, and again, if the system was left to default it will usually be admin admin, user, user, or admin password. That is to say the login user name and the password. If none of these work, the quickest way to get the correct info would be to call your ISP, and they'll let you know what it is, just ask for the login information for the equipment for your home network. Once you are logged in, you'll want to find an option that says gateway, or gateway settings, or ports port configuration port forwarding etc. Follow that link to a page, and there will be a list of various configurations, find one that says ports 
 or port forwarding or just forwarding. If your router looks anything like mine, you will be presented with a list of edit boxes somewhere on the page. The easiest way to find the right one would be to press ctrl home, and then pressing E. Above one of them should be a series of numbers similar to the ones you used to access the router in the first place, the 192.168.0.1 number. except it will say 192.168.0 and then edit, indicating the last value for you to enter. This is the static IP address of the computer that will have the ports forward to. The next two edit boxes will likely be together, and will be asking for the range list of ports that you want to forward. When selecting a port, it's usually best to snag one above the 1000 line, as you may end up using another well traffic port accidentally, which would cause a lot of collisions. This will be the port number that other people will enter when connecting to your server I presume. Below this may be a combo box that says b
 oth, tcp, or UDP, select the both option and check the box that says enable. Navigate along the page until you see apply and it should be good to go. Now what you need to do is go to your control panel, find your network adapter by selecting view network and status, then tabbing to change network adapter. If your device is on wireless, the network may be called wireless, if you're going through hardwire, then you'll likely find one that is called local area connection. Highlight the network you are using and press the context menu, or right clicking with your screen reader. Find properties, and if you don't know how to get to this menu, I believe you can press ctrl enter on it and it will do the same thing. Once the properties menu is open, navigate down to ipv4 settings and select properties by tabbing a couple of times and pressing enter. One note here, your network may possibly be running IPv6, and if it is, this whole article may be entirely worthless, because I h
 ave never dealt with IPv6, consider asking your ISP what system they use if you need to call for login info. Onwards though, once the IPv4 properties are open, you'll want to find the combo box that says obtain and IP automaticly, and move it to the "use the following IP address" option. and enter the address that you entered to get to your router, and for the last digit, enter the number you entered in the first edit box of this walkthrough. So if I had entered 4, I would type 192.168.0.4 in this box. It's possible that the form fields are split up into four sections, if this is the case, you can just type in all of the numbers within the first box and they should automaticly spill over into the other boxes, but be sure to enter the .s as they are displayed in the address. Next will be the default gateway, which again will be that number you used to get to the router, 192.168.0.1 for our purposes. Next will be the sub net mask, which if it is default it will be 
 255.255.255.0, if it isn't default, unless you know binary, this is something you'll obtain quickest by calling your ISP and asking for your machine's sub net mask. If they ask why you want to know, tell them you are trying to set up an internal  static IP address. If they try some shpeel about only having static IP addresses for business accounts, tell them it's for an internal private network, and if they insist, ask to speak to a higher level network admin. Once you have this number, enter it in the fields. The next field will likely be the DNS, if you're lucky they should already be filled, if not, you can use Google's DNS which is 8.8.8.8, nice and easy. Once this is done, you should be good to go, select validate settings upon exit and press okay. You should now have traffic successfully port forwarded to your computer. HTH. This is also assuming you're using Windows, if not, the steps should still be similar. Good luck.
