How do you expect anyone to help when you don't provide any information about the server in question? Is it a windows server (bleh), a linux-based one, a regular windows computer in your basement you call your "server"?You also shouldn't be using a port forward tool, as I would assume it only works for your local machine. Unless your using remote desktop to run it on a windows server, in which case you still shouldn't be using it because UPNP probably isn't supported for opening ports by your host. Basically: don't use that tool.Look through the control panel provided by your hosting company and check if it mentions anything about a firewall, and open the port there. If that doesn't work, you'll need to open the ports you want through the firewall on the actual server.Also, you might consider actually searching the forum for topics like this; a lot of them exist (and ask better questions than "help, this tool w
 on't work on an environment I didn't specify").

Hi all.Well I forwarded the link to this thread at bob and he is quite approachable.So the issues will be fixed at least he will have a look.For eternal gamer and others, there is a link to directly get the game but its not supposed to exist anymore.Its only on steam though in a few weeks the direct download will happen.At some point  of unknown time the tads 3 story file will also be readuy to go.As far as the access issues and a few other things in this thread, bob says he is not sure what he can do but he will try.I have asked him to appear hear, weather he does or not is unknown but well I hope this moves the topic along past 7 posts.

Image To Sound Filter Examples in Python

I recently got around to finishing some sonifying examples available [here] demonstrating various filtering techniques i've been playing with, the first method allowing you to isolate and sonify specifically selected colors within an image. The Second method applies to filtering objects in 3D environments, it captures images from both the frame and depth buffers, then isolates an object via its solid color from the frame image and uses it as a stencil to cut out a region of the depth buffer for sonifying. This was one if the idea's I'd had with Audiocraft for isolating specific resources or objects. For example, in minecraft there are over 200 different block types, but using this method you could isolate something like coal so when sonify the area in front of you, only coal would appear, or you could set it to only sonify enemies, switches, or highlight other 
 important objects within a 3D space.The third method is a localized sonified mouse cursor, where it sonifies a small area around the mouse, representing its position in the soundscape. This particular method might be quite useful for 2D point and click adventure games using a depthmap as a backdrop in place of a conventional scene.

Yeah re: the Volume 2 comment, what I was suggesting was that in a perfect world, where we have all the money we could ever want, we'd contract Steven to compose music for all those events and locations we'd talked about having unique music for, then add it to the game and release it as a second volume. That is probably never going to happen, so it was more a joke than anything else. But it would certainly make me happy if we were ever able to do it.

Well, personally I can say, that some of us may fit well as a writer for game plots, and including myself, there are a few musicians scattered forum wide. As an aspiring voice actor, I can also tell that blind people would match voice acting for games, since in most cases, even sighted voice actors doesn't have access to any kind of visual material when it comes to giving voices to characters.Best regards, Haramir.

How to quit practice: pause the game, on the left stick press right once, press A/X to quit, then press left stick down once and press A/X one more time to confirm quitting.Better explanation of the kick meter timing: There's a thunk-thunk feel to the double rumbles that indicates the kick meter is moving. Approximately 1 second later there's a rumble for setting power, then about a second after that there's another rumble for setting accuracy. For max power and accuracy, try to press A/X as soon as you feel the power and accuracy rumbles.@cyco - kicking has to be done via the kick meter. Try practicing kick-off to get the timing down.

BGT Bit Torrent Sync folder has hundreds of strange files

I was looking at the BGT BT Sync folder recently, and I noticed that in the Lucky Kop folder, in Sounds, there are hundreds of files with Copy in their names, sometimes several times. Could someone who has a read/write key take a look at this, I'm betting most of these files are junk that could be deleted. I'll list the files in the next message, there are over 800 of them! I think bikes loading as a default item is just what a newbie needs to get going! But, then it should vanish if you haven't found a bike of your own within the 20 minute newbie timer.Also, can someone tell me what quad packs do? I have to put in my vote for an inventory like manamon or like swamp has. I was trying like hell to find water to put out a lil fire. ahem, and I kept hitting weapon weapon weapon weapon... you get the idea. It really is so much better now with the new server. I'm enjoying myself a ton playing. As to making money, I always start a new char off atempting to do tasks if they join a guild, asuming I found a decent weapon in the crate usually in the town square. If not that, then  foraging out in the forest, and once I've saved up a little over 400 riln more or less, I buy an axe and borrow a handcart to do some logging. But that's just me, there are a lot of ways to earn riln.

I use Sonar with CakeTalking from dancing dots. It's a long way from being free, requires your being a jaws user, is limited to an older version of sonar, but it's really accessible and has comprehensive help documentation, and great tech support.

As for D, I initially was told as a child how evil it was, that it was Satanic.  And there have been isolated cases where D has been blamed for some murders.  However, I've watched games of D I even played briefly.  That doesn't make me evil, and I know very well that it is a world of imagination.  It is my opinion that the way one handles their actions in the real world with respect to such things determines good or evil.  And I suspect that those murders that were blamed on D, even if there was some aspect truly involved, that aspect was created by an underlying mental disease that affected the player's conceptions of reality.

This is an interesting question.  I've recently started playing alter aeon again after a couple years.  My primary class is necromancy.  However, I strive to be non-evil in my actions, just for the contradiction, as the initial instinct is that necs are evil, given the association with demons and the undead.  And while I am not above killing the occasional good player, I do not do so indiscriminately.  It is usually done when I wish to take control of the player to make them a minion, and when that goal is absolutely necessary to protect myself during combat.  When I initially read up on the different classes, I wondered whether nec/cleric would clash, given that clerics are very anti-undead and demons, so diametrically opposed to necromancers.  I have found that clerics, however, are very useful in terms of healing.

It is; pretty much done, and has been sence that time.I did; however, want to include a reference to a game franchise that took me a while to nail down, so I have to do an update for that.I also got some feedback on the super Liam reference by someone on this forum, so I added that in as well.I also wanted to do a proper intro, so I have to do an update to add that in to.and while I was at it, I decided, "What the heck. May as well add in the credits and call it done." So, yeah.Remnant was done, but I need to polish it up some, so it at least seems like a finished product, despite the fact that I will never be able to get the voice acting for chapter 3 done.I thought about replacing all of it; as I still have all of the source files to make that happen, but I'd still be left with the Aaron Baker voice clips built into Adventure at C for getting hit and the like.And to do that, I'd have to find someone who'd b
 e willing to revoice almost everything.Aaron did make a way to change out his voice clips in AAC, but he never finished it, and out of respect for his work on AAC and his controbutions to Remnant, I figured I might as well leave it as is.Later!

I know some people who would like to play Redspot but problems with English have stopped them.About the newbie system: this is a progressive reform, nevertheless it needs to be fixed. A newbie is a player who wants to raise his params to a playible level, but not to become an unkillable diversant. So:   1. The newbie flag would no longer be vanished automatically in consequance of this newbie's shot. Only if out of timer. Newbie simply will can't shoot while he has such status.   2. To reset the flag manually, the newbie would have to type /newbie (or another special chat command). When the command entered, the newbie flag vanishes and a loud sound plays, warning nearby players that some newbie in there neighborhood just became adult and dangerous.   3. Placed explosives (barricades, mines etc) would not be wasted for newbies. They will not explode, but
  will simple stop a newbie instead, preventing him from getting in there defeat zome. Stop, but NOT STAND like tasers do. Example: there is a base called X and a newbie player called P. X is defended by 4 barricade bombs: one on the north, one on the east, one on the south and one on the west direction. This bombs are installed so that there activation zones (circles of radius 15) overlap. P comes from the north side. The distance between him and the northen bomb is reducing: 18, 17, 16... Next, P try to get closer, at the distance of 15, but the program does not allow him to do this. P now can move left, right and backward, but not forward, cause he haven't the right to enter into the activation zone of the northen bomb. P goes to the goal from other directions, but fails again by same reason. Even decimal directions does not make result, because the activation zones are overlapping.   4. Look closely at the example in point 3. What if P would attack X from the
  air using a concussive grenade or simply jumping from any nearby tower if there is such one? I propose to solve this problem radically: forbid newbies to climb up anywhere using PageUp. There is a logic: they are newbies, so additional territories (towers, mountains, sky islands) are closed for them. Block for newbies all items that can be used as a weapon or a diversion tool (all bombs, lockpicks, concussive grenades etc). What confuses me, hmm, a lot of little things. I am liking the game a lot though, especially since the new server is far less laggy. I want to make some money to buy a horse so I can go further without always having to be worried about food things, but they cost a lot, and I don't have a lot, so I'm just gonna have to work up to it. I do feel like the system fights me sometimes though, because certain objects don't have logical aliases, but I did figure out it usually aliases to the last word in a name. It's frustrating at times when stuff doesn't work the way you'd think it should, and you have to play guess the syntax to try to get it to behave.

Yep. I don't know for sure about 7.1, but I just had a conversation the other day with the sound designer about how I want to get my machine hooked up to my home theater so I can hear it on 5.1 (I do all my playing/testing on headphones or just in stereo) and he said it sounds pretty sweet.Sadly, a good number of the more cinematic sound assets were designed before we were able to play in 5.1, and we didn't have the forethought to design them for 5.1 should the opportunity present itself. So all that is to say that while 3D audio will be accurately represented on 5.1 systems, we may not take as much advantage of the opportunities 5.1 presents as we could have. That's a lesson learned for next time...

That's alright; like I said, there were a number of tracks that we would have loved to add, but simply didn't have the funds. The soundtrack as it stands is the best compromise we could strike. With the budget we had, doing unique music for every boss battle, let alone each distinct event, would have been impossible. You're talking tens of thousands of dollars for that much original music, probably. We have, however, done some things in the game to get the most out of these tracks and, hopefully give the impression that there are more tracks than we actually have...you'll have to wait and see if that worked out or not.As with everything in this project, remember that this is a stepping stone. We're doing a lot of "firsts" for an accessible game, and that means some of what we're doing will have to be limited in scope.

Anthony, if you don't know how to duel, we'll be more than happy to teach you. It takes a bit of patience, but people who have never played before have come around and are doing great now that they get the rules.  Just let us know that you've never dueled before and we'll be more than happy to show you.  That goes for as well as giving you deck tips for when you want to build your own deck.The changes file is now being updated. That change came into effect last night, so things are being updated now. To load a deck, create a room with create, then do deck . Deck load isn't needed anymore. Make sure you type ? and set your preferences.

Lirin, I think he meant the game's soundtracks in general. I don't think such an rpg contains only 14 tracks, they might have used other music tracks along with the custom made ones. Probably.

nope, the map has nothing to do with it it's rather the client loading sounds. It takes time cause it's using lav. If you want it to go a bit faster turn off hrtf.

I think it's a Python problem. Python is interpreted, and the only way to make it a native executable is to bundle the python interpreter along with it (Cython doesn't cut it any more).

The cost on Bandcamp will be $9.99 for the full score, or $1 per track if you want to buy them individually. We don't have direct control over prices on other marketplaces—essentially we set the price through our aggregator and then the aggregator hands it of to the marketplaces, who may or may not change the price. If they don't, it'll be the same price on iTunes, Google, Amazon, etc. If it does change, I can't imagine it would change much.

So I'm having trouble with defense. Maybe I'm missing something here, but I'm having trouble between a pass and a run play. I feel a small vibration, and the next time I feel a vibration is whenthe ball's either in the air or when I'm tackling, but I can't tell which one it is and sometimes it causes them to gain a lot of yards because by the time I figure it out its too late. What'm I doing wrong?

What I meant was that we had several other ideas for music—other locations or events we would've liked to give unique tracks, etc.—but we didn't have enough money to contract the composer for the additional tracks.

Come to think of it, I think the map itself is what's lagging the sergher. I think it takes almost ten seconds or more to log in and when I'm coming out of my base it's the same way, but when going into a base, it's just like that. (Insert finger snap here.) So if you could divide the map into whole separate ones, I feel it would go faster. Then again, I'm no coder so I know nothing.

We're still working on things that have a direct impact on CPU use and memory management. Once we are done with all that and can be sure that we're giving accurate information, we'll share system requirements, and will be sure to publicize that along with the release itself.CJ: Yep, plenty of side quests—well over two dozen, and I'm probably not done writing new ones... We want to encourage players to explore as much as possible, and we've done that in a few ways—one of which is ensuring that you never know when you'll find a curious item or location that triggers a side quest, or follow a conversation with someone that unlocks a new quest. Some of these quests are dynamic as well—meaning certain quests are only available once other quests have been finished, or based on decisions you make in other quests, or affect the game world in some way once you finish them.Muhammad: Are you asking about how the inclusion of bonus items will be implemented? If so, you'll have to wait until you get the game to find out (which is my way of saying I haven't quite decided yet, haha...) We're probably going to implement some sort of fetch quest or other requirements to unlock them though, just because many of the items in the bonus pack would be ridiculously overpowered if you have them in your inventory right from the beginning. Or we may just put some stat/level requirements on some of the more beefy items. Haven't decided yet.As for tracks on the soundtrack, there are 14. hey guise, although I have also done some very not leagul things in this nature, but I don't, and never will, support piracy. Authors have worked on it, and they deserve to get something of it. And, piracy is not at all the freedom of speech.And, does someone know a book or something about how to make audiogames using python? Maybe a reference and stuf. And, is this pythons problem that most Games made in it are laggy? I am talking about RSGames, don't know did they code that client of there's badly or is this a python problem

I have all reddy said the disadvantages of starting items. People will then ask, Heym ket's start with 5000 health, 20 shielded shots, x storred aer etc. Bullet vests sound cool, that's what I have suggested in this same topic I think. About the long barreled machinegun, I just try to get out of it's path. And yeah, it's quite powerfull. ANd, is this just me or do item grabbers spawn all most never? I can hardly find any of them some times.

Agreed on that King of dragon pass is an exceptional game with extremely good accessibility, though I will warn that if your new to  navigating the interface can be rather interesting. You can find out more here on the King of dragon pass database page which also includes a link to a getting started podcast by,  well me, which was intended to cover some of the things you need to get used to in Kodp both in terms of gameplay and in terms of the interface. for first time Vo users though, there  textual games that are easier to navigate. The choiceofgames and hosted games titles for example, also A dark room  it's sequel The ensign, not to mention the similar game nano empire, indeed I'd strongly recommend adr and it's sequel just on rpg grounds. There is also the extremely good time crest as well as several other real time story based games that might be fun to try
  out, though timecrest is probably the most rpg like.Lastly, There are also the adventure to fate games, which have extremely good vo support, but again navigation can be somewhat interesting, and I'm not sure how vo support is going currently with some of the updates to the interface. Hth.

Anthony, if you're talking about the Guild of Thieves, it's not so secret that you can't ever ever talk about it. Especially OOCly on an external forum that I don't even have any control over, lol. I admire your willingness to not go into detail through.What you're going to want to do is find an existing member. There's like 3 of them that are semi-active right now, one in particular plays quite a bit, daily. The Guild is entirely player-initiated. Just have one of them vouch for you and you're in.Though, a good thief doesn't get caught. You might want to tone it down a bit. If your character gets a reputation of overt crimes and constantly being in jail, then that's actually going to work against you. the Guild doesn't want it's members revealing themselves to the public. A thief with a reputation is no good to them.If you're talking about the Claw of Star, there's no restrictions to join, you j

I recently watched the defenders on netflix. Its the 4 superheros daredevil, ironfist, luke cbde, and jessica jones. Pretty good if you like hand to hand fights, and the description is pretty good too, easy to follow what's going on. All 4 of them have their own series too, i've only seen daredevil and ironfist so far, but daredevil is pretty damn epic. Ironfist is ok, but he's kind of annoying and winy. He's also not too great of a fighter. Luke cage is pretty cool because of super strenkth and thick skin, bullets don't effect him and he can also pretty much break through any door just by punching it. Jessica jones has some kind of super strenkth, but since I never watched her series i'm not sure where the hell she gets it from.

I agree about the checking number of cards function there tbn, yes you can read in the history, but it's a bit of a pest when working out how much you can add to each deck.I'm also having the problem that all the decs I made before beta 48 are now no longer affective.

This puts you alone in a vast and empty universe, on a barron planetoid in a distant cold future with nothing but the hollow shell of a space station to sus
 tain you. fortunately, said hollow shell isn't actually that hollow, since the space station is full of deep frozen colonists and long dorment robots. this means you have everything necessary to build a new society, provided you can keep your population supplied with air and food, mine enough ore for your various building projects, and treat properly with your galactic neighbors. Anyone who has wanted a single player space game in which you must manage resources and survive over time in a complex, procedurally generated universe, Junction gate might be just  what your looking for. the game is played in a web browser so is mostly text, but has background muusic and sound effects, and the developer is actively looking into access fixes. @threeblacknoises To check how many cards are in a deck, you can read the history. So, you open a deck in the deck manager. You can check the message which got cut off by pressing ctrl+ page down. You can already empty a deck. Find a deck you want in the deck manager, start holding the ctrl key and then pess enter without releasing ctrl and the deck will be cleaned. About renaming a deck, you can do that too. Just hold  n in the same way you hold ctrl and press enter and it will give you a dialog for naming your deck.

Hello again!So thanks to post eight, and a few YouTube videos I found on my own, I made this little file which I uploaded on my web site at http://www.sensation-experience.com/space_shuttle.mp3I was able to find a recording of the astronauts landing, but I was disappointed to hear that it didn't sound at all like when a commercial airliner lands. You can usually hear and feel a big bump or jolt as the back wheels hit the ground, followed by the fast motion as it rolls down the runway.Anyhow, enjoy!
