I wouldn't call TK great by any stretch of the imagination.What's wrong with RTR. Just run your own server with some decent people on it and a few maps you like, works even better with a mouse...I put this Simplified server together with better documentation. You need to delete your current server folder and replace it with this one, and it only works with RTR ultimate, but that's what most people are using now anyway.Forwarding your ports can be a bitch on certain routers it's true, and some ISP's don't even allow it, though UPNP and Mason's little program can help, , but if you have a group of other players, then I'm guessing that at least one of them can do it.Also, this topic belongs in general games discussion.

Beware! spoilage ahoy for those who haven't completed five portals.Okay just found my first heirloom, and unfortunately it seems a lot of the icons to upgrade heirlooms etc aren't showing up. I was able to equip it, but  modifying its stats could be rather interesting since most of the information  on the heirlooms screen just reads as "clickable.

Hi.@8, yeah, I read about icon passing and thought it to be helpfull, apparently, you press rb on your controler and hit the action button of the player you want to pass to, do you know which position is what button, so, center, point and shooting guards, what is there still, small and power forward I think, I guess it would also help to know the team that you are playing as and which players are at which position.Is there a similar stratey for playing defense? I guess putting up blocks and steals are not really possible, so, what is your plan of action there?I try if i can get 2k18 for a bit cheaper and install it.@post 8 and 9, well, as stated, any guides, tips and help in general would be appreciated, for example in setting up, when everything is running and I have some pointers on what to do when, I am pritty good in figuring out what I need to do, video game experience is a good thing to have .Greetings Moritz.

Would it please be possible to add something for switching to void maps, and perhaps different headings for the individual maps themselves? I had a far easier time with the scientist challenge than I would've done if I hadn't taken the time out too do a no challenge run, indeed one thing I really like about Trimps is the progression, first time through I struggled with trimple of doom, this run I was mining it for metal .I personally try to keep worker numbers relatively even, since I always find if I focus on one resource such as metal, I'll need more of the other two soon enough. I never buy many scientists since researching yourself is always way more efficient, indeed the only time I bother mining, chopping or gathering myself is if I happen to see a turkimp timer. So I usually limit myself to just 30 scientists or so.

Okay so Fred, I missed your post at first but here's how to turn off plus or minus, though it can be important in school/work so just remember it's turned off.Step 1: Go to the NVDA menu, preferences, settingsStep 2: Head to speech, and tab until you get to punctuation/symbol level, then Note down what  the current setting is.Step 3: If it's already set to all, set it to most and hit the apply button. Otherwise, just exit the dialog.Step 4: Assuming it wasn't set to all; go to NVDA, preferences, punctuation/symbol pronunciation.Step 5: Press plus or minus on your keyboard to quickly jump to those symbols in the list, and in the first combo box you find when tabbing from the symbol's entry, set the value to what ever is just above your current punctuation/symbol level in speech options (the one I said to note down before).For instance, if your punctuation/symbol level in speech options was set to  most, then set the value for the plus and minus signs to all.Step 7: ignore all other settings and when your done modifying both symbols, hit okay.Basically, this just lets you customize exactly what none/some/most/all settings actually do in terms of what symbols it shows and hides.So if you want Plus and Minus back, and you don't want to go through this hole process again to reverse it, just set your punctuation/symbol level in speech options to what ever is above what you set those plus and minus symbols to, and then change it back when your done doing math stuff.For instance if you used this process to change plus and minus to most, then you'd temporarily set your punctuation level to all in order to hear them again.

I can only help you with the dice minigame.When the game starts, you’ll be told the number that you should move to the bottom left of the playfield. To do this, you must search the number that is told to you and move it around until it reaches the bottom left. For example, you must present the number 2. To move the numbers, use the arrow keys. There are a total of 6 numbers divided in to 3 colums and 3 rows. I recommend you to search it from the bottom left to the top left, then to the middle from the bottom to the top, then to the right. If you’ve found the number, you must move it around until it reaches the bottom left. For example, you are told to move number 2. @drums61999, usually what makes you stall is when you cannot buy Coordination upgrades.You should spend your workers relatively equally between farmers, lumberjacks and miners. Food will give you housing which will give you more workers for more production, it's a feedback loop. If you have to put more workers on one, go for miners, I usually have like 30-30-40%. Prestige your equipment as soon as you can, but then make sure to buy some levels of those equipments, don't leave them at level 1. To quickly rack up metal, just create a mountain map withl oot 9 and difficulty 9. You want to farm the map until you one shot ennemies in there. If you one shot ennemies or if you don't die often, you will loot very fast and in mountain maps, loot is metal.If I pushed too far, I will farm a lower level map, like one level below until I can upgrade my equipment and then farm the map one level abovewhich is same level as current zone.All perks are useful, so make sure to have like at least level 3 on all of them, because it's fairly cheap. Looting perk is really good for farming maps. You can produce metal 5x faster if you loot a mountain map and one shot the ennemies. Another very good perk is the one you got from metal challenge, this helps a lot.Always get some toughness and power, it helps going further faster. And of course, motivation for production speed. Try to buy those perks equally or just calculate the costs, because perks have a 1.3 times increase every time so you're better off buying them when they are low level instead of focusing on one perk.Finally, without spoiling you, you will find upgrades that will help you along the way.

Maybe an all metal di cast model of TC17 from GMA tank commander with working wheels and a gun that can turn?Or small, posable models of the robots from technoshock and HVR.Similar character models from AHC, A I wouldn't mind a small 5 or 6 replica of Edward's sword or shield from a blind legend either, or some of the other characters weapons. Same for some of the ones from AHC like the goblin rippers, those elven hand axes, the dolphin blades, the blackforged hammer ETC.A blind legend, shadow line, Super Liam, BK2/3, The Blind Swordsman and a few other games would be neat too.Warsim merch may actually happen some day, and since it's a game sighted people can play, it would make more sense. I imagine the ascii art on a shirt would look pretty neat.I think the ticonblu games have graphics too, so merch from a couple of the better titles would be cool too, like space encounter or audio rally racing.

Because WaveOut is shit, and considering that no program I know uses wave out (in fact, reaper is the only one that I know of that supports it)... yeah... that speaks for itself. Doesn't help that WASAPI is pretty much right behind in performance compared to ASIO. You can't get close to zero latency with WASAPI like you can with ASIO, but you can get nearly close enough. I don't mean to be insulting, but come on...Also, as a side note, the reaper user manual recommends you use ASIO if possible. I'd assume that WASAPI is the fallback system if ASIO happens not to be supported by your device.

well default should work but try your mic plus your speakers. Something's probably wrong with the ttrack, providing you have a mic and said mic is either a laptop internal, or is plugged in and working, hit control T then F7 then F8, If you can hear yourself, then audio is configured correctly, hit control F4 to scrap that project, then say no to saving it, go to the insert menu, then insert virtual instrument on new track, pick your instrument and go.

@greensatellite, I'll check that out, thanks. I think I am speaking on everyone's behalf here by saying that we didn't donate because we felt we had to. The game is nicely balanced. It's by far the semi-passive game I played the longest in my life and I count my sighted days as well. The bone looting is fair and as far as I know it's the only thing we can purchase which doesn't make the game a pay to win, especially since it's not online.In my case, I donated because I really think that game is worth my money just for the weeks I passed playing it. I've spent more money on games I played less so fair is fair. Plus, the bones! And I'm not done playing it, there seems to be a lot of content I yet have to discover

Sounds interesting. I know I'd probably be frustrated about not being able to kill enemies at first, but games like the one you propose have been doing well in the mainstream for a couple decades now.I remember challenging my self to get through levels without killing anything in audio games where you were supposed to do just that, and it really ramped up the challenge and stress of gameplay.I think it would be a cool take on things, as I've wanted a stealth type game for a while now, and potentially more parent friendly as well, which is good for the ag.net community as we don't have enough non violent games right now.

If your making a non-commercial product your good and can use it all you like, but if not...* You can pay the 125 EUR price for a shareware license so long as your product does not exceed 40 EUR. That translates to $141.44 for the price of the license, and $45.26 for your products price tag, as of the time of writing.* If your product exceeds 40 eur ($45.26), you can either purchase another license, which will double the amount you can charge for your app, or go for the "Single Commercial license, which is 950 eur, $1,074.92, as of the time of writing. If your deploying for iOS or Android, the price drops down to 475 eur ($537.46). That limits you to only one commercial product, though. If you want unlimited commercials, you'll have to pay a whopping 3,450 eur ($3903.64). That license, of course, only applies to a single location of development.Talk about ridiculous!

It really isn't so bad... once you're set up, you can install games by just arrowing up and down in the main steam window and pressing enter, all your games are sorted alphabetically. If you really don't want to deal with steam's client, remote install games from the website. And installation by default creates a desktop icon, so...

Hi, My output is set to the MS soundmapper I even tried where it says my speaker thingy. Both give no sound.  This is when using waveoutWith wasapi I have my output input set to the default input output respectively obviously, I can't here anything at all. Kinda stuck at this point and as for the wasapi vs waveout thing that you guys have going on here I say use whatever works for you be it old new whatever, as long as it does what you need it to, and does it well...Grryf

The reason you probably aren't able to find anything on pybass, it's nothing more than a pythonic version of bass.h with a couple additional functions. Everything provided in the bass examples directory is fairly easy to port, a hell of a lot easier than using C in fact. The following code should play a file, I'd personally wrap this entire procedure into a class with some additional functions for volume, pan, etc etc. That's what I did. Hasn't been tested but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. other libraries provide a higher level interface, pybass actually requires use of ctypes in some instances. All depends on your preferences, I personally find it adequate for my game dev needs. We're looking at a rather light wait library so that's certainly a plus. Consult the actual docs for a function listing, reference, etc etc. They're surprisingly good.import pybass

I'm totally blind for all intents and purposes.  Light perception doesn't really help in this case.  The main thing that helps you on offense is icon passing, knowing who has the ball.

if you've ever been in one of those time to escape rooms, it'd be kind of, although nowhere near as obscure and difficult to figure out, like that. It certainly won't be a text adventure game right out of the 90s, where you have to wait until the sun shines one particular note on an antique piano to then fit this odd piece of a broken panel onto the ceiling and then go west, west, north, west, south and then figure out the ordering of 8 pieces of paper. Also dark, your post on Philip's topic several weeks ago had me looking at smash.tv gameplay. I'm seriously surprised no one has attempted that! We literally have everything in audio needed to replicate that almost to the characteristics of the enemies!The only thing that could be tricky would be allowing the player to walk in one direction while firing in another, though even then the maths for that are already obscured away if you use bgt, like I do.

In the end you could just scrape it directly from the sound card with audacity, or pipe the output to another terminal to record it or use some other audio analysis software to break down the intermix. As long as an asset can be observed it can be harvested in one form or another, and the time and effort it would take to try and come up with a temporary solution to that is much better spent on more productive things, like making new sounds and writing more code. Don't worry about it too much, pack it in a password protected archive to discourage casual snooping and get the number of a good copyright lawyer for anything else.

@23, there are various other reasons why we are able to obtain the key from BGT games in particular. For one, its base offset is not randomized (its base offset is the offset that the app is loaded into memory at). It doesn't allow for address-space layout randomization, which allows the OS to put it wherever it pleases, so we always know where to start looking. But I digress. Hiding the key is impossible. The only way to hide it is to use an external service like Amazon key management service (AWS KMS), which allows you to generate a key whenever you want to do crypto, and that may not even be effective. The idea with that is that you retrieve the key from AWS KMS, do encryption with the returned plaintext key (in secured memory), and store the nonce, encrypted key, and encrypted data together. Then you load the nonce, load the encrypted key and send the encrypted key off to AWS for decryption. You get back the plaintext key and use that for decryption, then wipe the key from memory. This has a major advantage because the key is not actually stored in a decrypted form on disk, and its only stored in a decrypted form in memory for a short while. But even this is useless against a determined attacker.The point is, its possible to obscure the key. Never hardcode the key in source code, obviously, is one rule that BGT simply does not allow you to safely address. Hash it, encode it all you like, the attacker will still find it by looking for string_encrypt or file_encrypt, because the parameters passed to that function will, ultimately, be the final key, no matter what you do with it. The functions are always a constant with BGT, so its ridiculously easy to break it because we always know what to look for. Take an application that's written in C++, and that can use any crypto library out there for cryptography, and you've got yourself a lot of difficul and hard work because you need to figure out the crypto functions that get the key, and with name mangling that most definitely won't be easy. Even if you obfuscate your code, a determined attacker will still be able to figure out your program no matter what you do. You can make it a hell of a lot harder though by following common sense. don't store the key in the source code; store it elsewhere, or generate it when you need it and store it in an encrypted form using an external service. In BGT that's not practical, unfortunately. However, this in no way means you shouldn't use encryption or obfuscation; make it as hard as you can for an attacker to get at your data. But don't try to address problems that are impossible to address. But secure your dat anywhere; just because the most determined attacker can get at your data doesn't mean that any attacker can get at your data. If you do it right, you can put off most people who want at your key, because most of them will only spend a few hours to a few days at most hacking at it before giving up. You store the key in a service and its impractical to get at it because you'd need to somehow figure out how to stop the world right before the key is wiped and replaced with all zeros.

Pragma, have you thought about adding a visual mode? I know BGT doesn't support visual elements, but you could have the game print text to the title bar. I don't know how useful it would be for the mini game mode, but it would certainly work for the battle mode and might make it easier for sighted people to play the battles and/or read the mini game instructions.

You can still hit 6 to get to it though, as I added a level 6 heading at the top.Added Block to the summaryReworded the Health summary item, fixed the calculation to take block into account, made sure it calculates properlyAdded a line-item to the summary for challenge specific things! Currently, the only challenge taking advantage of it is Balance for tracking stacksChanged some buttons in the map UI to actual buttonsI'm close on the overhaul for confirmation tooltips and important alerts, but wanted to get this stuff out to you now as it was ready!Also thank you all so much for supporting the game over on Kongregate, I know it's probably a huge pain to navigate their site with a screen reader (and even just navigating the non-screen-reader version of trimps). ethin, this is not about encryption as much as it is about obfescation. So if we were dealing with sensitive data like passwords, credit card numbers, etc, I'd totally agree with you. But this is about how to obfescate the key used to decript the data. Bgt uses eas256, I beleive, which has not been broaken as of yet. Yet we can decript sounds because the key is stored together with the sounds. If you obfescate sounds yourself with a complex self devised algorythm, you'll have to dig deep into the assembly code in order to decode/decript them, which is the point.

@Ironcross, I completely agree with you. I am okay with casual sex if both of us have no partners, I've done it a few times and it can be a fun experience if you encounter the right person. The most important thing is to set things clear before sex so both of the partners know what they are getting into. I would strongly advise against swinging though, no protection is 100% safe so there's always the risc of getting a STD. Hi:This is cool. I tried playing FFRK a couple of times, but got frustrated in the tutorial section. What I find really annoying is that this game only requires a little work to make it accessible with VoiceOver, unlike a lot of other games where VoiceOver is completely useless. So close, but yet not really accessible. Keepup the good work though; it's positive work like this that makes things happen. But if the sound is decrypted to be played, a debugger guy will get them in the decrypt function... Nothing you can do really unless you make it hard to reverse engineer, but that's another process.

@29:Recommended by me. .Well, I don't know what are you refering to by "most things are using wasapi now".Could you provide some examples?I'm not saying what is exactly must be used.I'm just sharing a bit of my experience.No argues there.If you're fine with wasapi, Fine then! Use it.But remember. Using wave out gives you the control over the memory your sound processing uses.You might even don't need that, SO you may stick to what you're more comfortable with.
