As others have pointed out, only if you're able to market your blindness as a strength, and it'll have to be sold hard. The word blindness is seeping with negative stereotypes and incompetence. If you need to throw it on their, use the term "visually impaired". Sometimes connotation can make just enough of a difference.An example of where this could be useful, I do some freelance work on top of the fun that is high-school life. Aside from software development, I provide accessibility consultation. Those concerned about WCAG guidelines want someone that's familiar with common practices. Who better than us who run smack dab into the issues every day? Who better than their target audience?As a general rule of thumb I keep blindness out of it, choosing to highlight on academic achievements and prior experience. Landing a job isn't easy, show the dog or cane and 7 times out of 10 you've lessened the employers initial impression. I know people who've filled out countless applications over the span of a year and simply gave up on account of being denied a couple too many times. Hence one of the reasons we're able to fall back on social security or the equivalent in your place of residence.Now assuming blindness is off of your resumé, take the time to tell them you have a visual impairment before waltzing on into their pretty wall of shame. Failing to do so right then will certainly give you an air of mistrust that will serve to do little more than level your future chances.Good luck

So, on the subject of new things to try... Superstar KO is now a thing. It's fun, but I think the reason why we can't win four games in a row is because knowing your plays are crutial for just one successful win. Assists like coach mode don't work in this mode just as in MUT. While I don't necessarily need that specifically, player ratings don't read which is huge. I read the info on the blog, but I'm not sure if there is team info in the game itself. Each team in this mode has specific plays that work for certain styles. Dot City is an aggressive o-line team with very little in the way of defense etc. There's a team that's dominant in the running game and relies on piling up the yardage to get the score...

Your resume is to reel recruiters in, and your interview is to wow them. That is to say, you'll go into far more detail about what's on your resume on a phone call or in person.It's common practice to use buzz words frequented in-industry. Recruiters eat up "thrived at," "spearheaded," etc when reading about prior experience.Without getting too crazy with suggestions, I'd say just dig around the net and see what you can find. That's exactly what I did and it's landed me interviews with some bigger companies. I would also be happy to proofread some things and give my input if you would like. Just bear in mind that I am but one person, and I won't have all the answers or best suggestions. Definitely have as many people look at it as possible.

Song of Susannah starts with people getting sucked through the wrong portals, so to speak. Roland and Eddie show up to talk to Sai King, and Jake and Father Callahan show up in keystone New York to follow Susannah/Mia to the Dixie Pig.Unlike Detta/Odetta, who were arguably just fragments of Susannah's own personality brought partway into being by a traumatic brain injury (remember the falling brick?), Mia is very real, very external and very dead set on having her chap. Susannah's past with Detta and Odetta make her very uniquely suited to fight Mia; this book, when it's about her, isn't about pregnancy in and of itself. It's about being dominated, about being controlled, and finding other ways to fight back against that control. Slowing Mia down, making Mia feel things. Even if she cannot ultimately stop what's happening, she uses all her long-acquired skills. Hell, when the birth happens at the start of book 7 and Susannah gets hold of a gun and starts shooting up the place, she pretty much turns the tide. The same way Roland and Eddie showing up when Jake is cornered, in that same book, stop him and Oy from being two lonely targets on a firing range. I see this as King making a very strong and sometimes repetitive statement about the way women, and even women of colour, are portrayed, and how they often get pigeon-holed. After all, you'll note, I hope, that Susannah is only actually pregnant once, and as to the story of possession/personalities/all that jazz, the first is internal (which she beats, with Roland's help) while the second is internal, and she beats that one all by herself. To me, this is thematically whole. I'm not saying it's perfect, it's not. But it's a whole lot more charitable than you're painting it, IMHO.Harvey's Dream, BTW, had this weird "I want to be eerie and I can't quite make it" feel to me. Rest Stop didn't do a whole lot for me either way, except to sicken me and remind me that approximately one in five women will suffer some form of abuse in their lifetime. Twenty percent. And it's probably higher, because a lot of it goes unreported.

A hat tip to Gamemaster for suggesting to connect "all my games" to telnet. It kind of clicked with me that they all use the same base level libraries. Instead of trying to wrap a telnet interface around each one, I could do it at a base level and do them all at once.And so I have.You can now telnet to api.111george.com port 65500 to connect to my games. The first time you should register an ID. After that you can log in with that. You can then list the games that are there, and pick one to play. (If you are already a player and want to connect up your telnet account to your Echo/Assistant account, drop me a line.)I'm not sure how well they will work. I've tried Six Swords and 5 Draw Poker a bit and they seem to do OK. The matching is pretty brutal though. It is case insensitive, but that is as far as it goes. Right now you have to spell anything out fully. I'll work on that, but please post any particularly laborious phrases and I will put in custom short cuts. And please report any bugs. I'm sure there will be lots.

@Guitarman, Yeah, I gathered that a honkitonk is a bar, though I don't really get the country music, cowboy thing, its likely this is one of those bits of American culture which is hard to get a handle on elsewhere. i've heard country music songs I sort of like, but the idea that a cultural mistique complete with decor etc would make for a sort of idillic afterlife seems a little confusing to me. Pickering was indeed wonderfully bonkers! I particularly liked his hilarious sense of unfairness when things didn't go his way . He was a little overthetop and silly, which probably would've bothered me if the gingerbread girl had been longer and we'd seen more of him, but for a short bit of horror he was just  perfect sort of oddball nutter that makes for a good villain, this is why I disagree with Jayde that pickering was a bit too silly.@Jayde,  I honestly wasn't sure with the body in his car whether pickering was driving around that way or not, though even if he had gone into the house to get a blanket or something to carry the body back in, it was still  coincidence a wee bit too far for this to happen literally just a minute or two after Deek warns Emily of him, especially  I doubt someone as careful as Pickering would've left the boot open anyway even if he  gone into the ghouse to get something. Had she been warned earlier in the story and then saw the car later that would've been a bit more understandable. As regards Susana, I'm afraid you've just precisely proved my point. She does all these awesome things before and after Mia, but then her main plot, her main obstacle in the book that bares her name is this unwanted pregnancy and personality change. Perhaps if I reread the series I'll feel a little differently about Mia and their interactions, but i just don't remember thinking much to Mia in general.

Lack of sleep means I've just read two more stories, so before answering Jayde and Guitarman's comments, I'll go through my thoughts on those. Also, bare in mind these stories were read at about two AM, which is in fairness likely the right time to read stephen King, though also bare in mind they were read whilst doing a lot of washing dishes, cleaning the kitchen and other such domestic tasks which tend to get done at this point in time when I can't sleep, which is definitely not! the right thing to do whilst reading Stephen King, though given how much some things I've read whilst doing housework have creeped me out previously, I do submit my ability to multitask is pretty good .Harvey's dream: Okay this one suffered a little from king trying too hard to make the story scary before we got to the actually scary bit, then not have the scary bit really continue to become scary enough. All of the talk of Janet's marriage and things going wrong which then get steam rolered by her husbands possibly prophetic dream didn't really build a scary atmosphere, especially with the implication that she had developed a little contempt for her husbantd. Then again, this is something King seems to have a problem with which comes up in a lot of his stories, very few of his characters can actually be nice, or even love each other successfully. Of course, the concept of one or other daughter possibly being killed in a drunk car crash is a nasty enough one, but the shock never really registered to me as well as it should've done, indeed I thought sorry right number was a much better executed example of this type of premise, even if it was written as a screen play. Rest stop: Okay I'll admit my thoughts on this one changed rather drastically as I was reading it. My first thought, when king was talking of the author who wrote gritty suspense novels about a hired killer during the summer was that we were in for a retread of the dark half. My second thought, when  we over hear the scuzbag beating his wife was that King was overdoing  a little, especially with the author's less than nice feelings about domestic abuse (his joke about spousal abuse occuring because "they just don't listen" was just plane tasteless). then however something happened, i remembered an incident in 2016 when we were still living in our small flat. My downstairs neighbour was a lady in her fifties who'd had previously had a long relationship with a seemingly decent guy, which I gathered between the lines ended badly. then however we saw several other guys over a short space of time. This culminated in an incident when my lady and I were woken at 5 AM by shouting and massive  amounts of banging from below. We at first assumed it was a party (my downstairs neighbor had many rather loud parties with her friends), however this was different. There were sounds of breaking glass and smashing wood and definitely sounds of someone getting hit. My downstairs neighbor was sobbing and screaming for the guy to "just go." we couldn't exactly hear his half of the conversation but "no," and "fuck" came into it a lot. So what do we do? Were I able to see I might have gone down there to sort things out, but I knew physical intervention would likely be a bad idea. In the end we settled on hammering on the floor, shouting "what's going on down there" and then calling 999. Scummy guy left shortly after, before the police arrived, however when the police turned up, I went downstairs with my lady, my downstairs neighbor hugged me, then told the police she was alright, whereupon the wonderfully straight forward Jordy copper said: "well if your alright, why is there blood on your face?" In the end we never saw scummy guy again, indeed it wouldn't have surprised me if my neighbor got a restraining order, though I wasn't asked to witness or anything. Later said neighbor also wrote complaining letters to the council about my guide dog's dog hair (yeah gratittude), but hay. the point of all this, is that suddenly, this story of what sounded like a rather overthetop and stylised version of domestic abuse,  down to the woman being pregnant and the man's rather typical "you looked as if you were attracted to some other guy" spiel, took on a new meaning, especially with the writer trying to decide what exactly to do about it.does this mean the situation wasn't a bit cliche? I'm not sure, maybe it was a realistic response to a cliche situation (tasteless jokes aside), either way it did strike a cord with me. So, the ending and seeing the bullying get his comeuppance at the hands of the writer's nastier alter ego was satisfying, though I do wish the writer had been less of an arse hole to the woman, or at least hadn't continued to be contemptuous towards her, his "move your dumb arse" comment and then observing that she "obeyed because she understood" didn't exactly make him pleasant, though not that his original persona had exactly been a nice guy to

I'm told I look pretty confident when I travel. I'm about six feet tall, weigh about 215 pounds, so I'm not tiny and I don't look timid. I don't move tentatively most of the time. I still get it. I'm not sure what the deal is.Oh, this is a fun one.A fw months ago, I was standing outside a bar where I'd been singing karaoke, waiting for my cab to show up. I hadn't been drinking, but pretty soon an intoxicated dude stumbled up to me and started talking about how amazing I was. I hate this sort of attention, so I tried to mostly shrug him off. Well eventually he said something like, "Are you ever curious what people look like? I'm told I'm a good-looking dude.". At which point he proceeded to grab my hand and, quite before I knew what was happening, sort of slapped it against his forehead and then dragged it down over his face. I honestly wish I'd had the presence of mind to tweak his nose or "accidentally" poke him in the eye a little, but all I did was blurt, "Ugh, your forehead is greasy as hell!".He recoiled, I pulled loose, and I told him that most blind people do not, in fact, want folks to do what he'd just done. I told him to never do that without asking again, to me or to anyone. He was suitably apologetic and said he was drunk, but he'd remember not to do that. He still wouldn't fuck off and leave me alone though; I just sort of sidled a few steps away and let him talk on until my taxi showed up.I may've told some of these stories before. But I hate it when my personal bubble gets invaded. I'm not a violent person by nature, and it doesn't straight-up scare me most of the time, but I still have a right to my personal space, and I wish people wouldn't so readily violate it.I did a presentation on working with people with disabilities a few weeks back for the employment agency I was working with, and one of the main things I hit on was that you should always, always ask how you can be of help before just barging in and helping. For anyone, with any disability, ask first. It's no crime to ask, even if the person isn't visibly struggling (though I hit on that too), but just getting into a person's bubble or assuming you know there's a problem is bad. They loved the presentation and said I could probably make something of a living presenting to agencies or even schools if I wanted. Who knows?

No phone in microwave. Check.Wow.I feel that many of these things are...really not all that bad. Embarrassing, sure, but in the grand scheme, maybe not awful. This includes my own example of the sink overflowing, even.But I've got another one.When I turned nine, I was told that I could have a birthday party, and one friend of my choosing could stay the night. I was able to invite a whole pile of friends, which was awesome. I'm going to change the names of the friends that are central to this story just for safety's sake, let's call them Bill and Bob. I really wanted Bob to stay overnight, but I tried calling him first and he wasn't home. So I called everyone else, invited them to the party, and then at the end of the list I called Bill. Now I liked Bill well enough, but had no desire to have him sleep over. I was so set on calling Bob again afterword that before I realized what I was doing, I had asked Bill if he wanted to sleep over. My mom heard me doing it and patted my shoulder. Bill came back to the phone, sounding a little surprised, said his parents were okay with it.Needless to say, I wasn't allowed to fix it. They said it wouldn't be kind or fair, and while I was pissed at myself for the mistake, even at nine I agreed that it would be a pretty shitty thing to do. So I did call Bob, and Bob came over as well, but at the end of the night, he went and Bill stayed. Bill actually got along better with my brother than me, and I probably without realizing it was less than gracious as far as being a host goes, so Bill and my brother spent most of the time before Bill went home the next day playing, and I felt miserable.Again, not an awful, dangerous experience, but definitely embarrassing.Speaking of really, really embarrassing though? Some of you non-native English speakers may not get this one.Well, around the same age (maybe ten, not nine, I'm not entirely sure), I was yet again having a birthday party. When I was asked to make a wish, and someone asked me what I'd wished for, I said something like, "My wish was to be well-endowed". The adults present just about killed themselves laughing, and I had no idea what was so funny.You see, I'd heard the term, and from context I thought it meant wealthy. So here I was, wishing for wealth, when in fact, in colloquial terms, to be well-endowed means that you have larger genitalia. When they decide to roast me (as they do from time to time, and as happens to others in my family as well, of course) this story is always trotted out at some point.

Actually, that's an interesting point.Why is it that in some areas, when you're walking, it seems to cycle, like, 5-6 different step sounds on a given surface seemingly at random, and then in the very same game, you'll get a very specific cycle of step sounds? Is that planned, or is it shorthand, or what is it?Example: walk around inside Mt. Cinder in Manamon, and it's a very specific eight-step cycle. Walk on gravel outside, for instance, and it's random.

Few things here:1. If not for Susannah, Roland probably dies in the tunnels under Fedic. He's going to have a hard time running full speed and lighting/throwing burning bones to keep the damn worm-thing away. You could argue that having Susannah on his back slowed him a bit, but it's debatable, at least.2. Susannah definitely saves Roland from Dandelo.3. If either Roland or Susannah goes into the badlands alone, Oy is probably sacrificed in order to harvest his fur, at which point Roland likely dies because Oy is no longer there to warn him about Mordred's ambush. They kept each other warm, remember, and snuggled up for warmth on cold nights. They did not have the appropriate clothes for survival, so their own body heat might have kept them both alive.Those are your main three points, but remember that not all characters have to be equally useful at all times. I would think, for instance, that during the prison break at Algul Siento, Susannah setting up that damn laser gun, which started a ton of fires and really caused chaos, was pretty instrumental. If she doesn't distract the demon in book 3, Eddie and maybe even Roland are ripped to pieces, Jake never shows up, and that line never plays out. Susannah also helps with the battle against the wolves.I also think it's pretty cheap to just dismiss Mia. Yes, she wanted her "chap". Yes, she was pretty damn single-minded. But once she got talking to Susannah in book 6, Susannah made her feel sympathy, and while I was never going to like or respect Mia much, she was more than just her desire to have a child. Don't make the mistake of misrepresenting her by how she ends up once Mordred is born; she runs mad and gets eaten, and that's kind of a bad death, though it couldn't have been any other way, really. I'm not saying Mia is a wonderful character, but to dismiss Susannah as you're doing, Dark, gives me the impression that you perhaps aren't paying as much attention as you could be.Now, to Willa and the Gingerbread Girl:First, Willa. I'm pretty sure David and Willa weren't straight-up trapped in the honky-tonk, but lingered there out of a desire to do so. Rather than be tethered to the station, they linger there because they enjoy it. Some people do. I thought the coda in this story was especially sweet...not -my idea of heaven, mind you, but sweet enough, in its way. I thought King did a good job of building this one, doing it fairly subtly, making Willa prickly but also likable in a lot of ways. Just a well-done story.Gingerbread Girl, I'm a mixed bag on. I just never got into the whole Pickering thing, didn't buy the premise. On the part about having a blonde girl in his trunk though: I very, very strongly doubt he was driving around that way. I suspect Pickering went in the house or out of the way after leaving his trunk open, intending to come straight back. So Em goes in there, looks into the trunk, Pickering comes back out and sees he's got a visitor, and the rest is history. As far as the whole losing-a-child thing? I don't see Henry as being written off as a contemptuous act. This happens sometimes, is all. Dead children can sometimes wreck marriages, as such tragedy often brings out the absolute worst in people. We simply don't have enough info to say whether or not Em and Henry were happy - presumably they were, at some point, else why did they get married? - but I don't presume to know a character's past better than the author does. If he said it worked once upon a time, and now it's not, then okay, now it's not. I'd only have an issue with it if we manifestly saw everything humming along, and then the marriage exploded for no reason at all. In that case, yeah, I have a huge problem with it. But that's not what happened here.

@Dark, I have a long history with the gingerbread girl. It was published in esquire magazine, and at the time that was the only way it was available. I brought it to my high school and my teacher's aid was kind enough to scan it into a text file for me. Pickering is so crazy it's very funny, before he leaves he talks to himself as if he's getting instructions from someone or something. I really enjoyed the running aspect of the story, especially since I was running track at the time. Later when just after sunset was published I got to read gingerbread girl in audiobook form, which I liked even more. The end I loved especially because Pickering is undone by something that most people learn how to do when they are children.Willa I liked okay, but to me it was another king exploration of the afterlife, which felt like old news to me at the time.A Honky-tonk is a bar, usually with a country western theme. They have country singers and bands, and people are dressed in a country style, boots, leather, like that. I've been to a few, and where I live now there are some in the area. I don't like loud music and noise much either, but if I go outside once in a while I can usually handle being there for a period of time.

@Arkandias, that is an interesting idea. One thing I've always said myself, is that I never mind taking repetitive actions in games so long as  I feel I'm part of an ongoing story. take rpgs for instance. If I need to kill 100 goblins to level up, I will be sitting there, fighting the same goblin 100 times thinking "oh my god! this is so boring." If however I have a quest to go on with continual bits of information presented every few goblins it changes matters hugely, prticularly. Indeed I don't know why, but just give me a quest, an objective, and I'm more than happy to play for long periods, even doing the same thing, whilst if I'm just playing for the sake of increasing score or levelling up I'll soon get board. Actually, I'll say in Audio wizards the story and levels you see, the quality of the music etc is quite fantastic, and I'd be more than happy to play through a good more levels of story just to hear what happens and learn about the world. This is also likely an area where the community can help with voice acting and perhaps more music too for different environments (my lady and I would definitely be up for acting in audio wizards).

once, i had a phone in my hand with an audio book on it, and i was warming up a pizza. put the plate in the microwave, but to have two hands free, i had put my phone on the plate, not realising what i was doing. needless to say, about 4 seconds later, smoke started poring out from the bottom of the microwave, i pulled out my phone, but it was fucked. wi-fi and bluetooth no longer work, and it couldn't hold a charge. Yeah i'm the real one who should have the name an idiot.

I have been steared by my cane before, and shoulders once or twice before, but thats when you have to speak up and inform them that you are perfectly capable of crossing the street, or going to where you need to go by yourself.  I have been told I look scary by many people; not sure if its because I am a big dark dude  so people don't bother to grab a-hold.  They just ask if I need help.  And its also because I look  extremely confident when i am traveling.

Got this one pisses me off and I have it constantly! I admit I might be a bit hyper sensitive about it, since I'm not generally into the idea  of being handled by strangers. Take today for example. I'm on  my way to my actor's workshop, and decided to stop off at the train station cafe for a cake and a cup of coffee since its been a bloody stressful few days. I sit down at an empty  table, I have my shoulder bag over one shoulder containing phone, wallet, victor reader  etc, the carrier bag with my cake  on my wrist, a plastic cup of coffee in one hand and Reever's harnice handle and lead in the other.I sit down  in the chair, put the cup and bag on the table and slip Reever's harnice off and put her lead around my ankle, as I always do, and dump my shoulder bag on the chair next to me. I'm just taking my victor and earbuds out of my bag (I've got 20 minutes, I might as well read some Stephen King), when a random woman swoops in from the next table and seizes my wrist with one hand as though I'm about to down a cup full of nitroglycerine. ""Be careful!" She tells me,  reaching one hand  down to touch the outside of my thigh. I go utterly stiff, this is getting bloody uncomfortable, physically pull my wrist out of her hand and move rather abruptly away from her."Excuse me" I ask, maintaining enough presence of mind not to say ""get away from me you creep!" The woman takes a step backwards. "well I was only trying to help, you looked as if you were struggling!" How exactly sitting at a table and putting a few things down in preparation to drink some coffee can be interpreted as "struggling" I don't know, but I confess I am stung. "I was just having some coffee" I tell her rather coldly. "well you've got your strap round your ankle" she tells me, clearly under the impression that if a person's eyes do not work, the nerves of their ankles do not work, (bare in mind, my legs are crossed, and said ankle is off the floor, with the thick leather lead wrapped around my calf). "I didn't want you to trip." "that is my dog's lead, it is around my ankle because I put it there, so I know where my dog is." I inform her. She then buggers off, not even apologising for the fact that she pretty clearly invaded my personal space in a way that were our gender's reversed would probably get her a caution at the least. Sometimes, I've  thought all blind people should carry a taser for these occasions. Someone grabs you bt! someone barges you in a crowd bt! It'd certainly mean people asked first, grabbed after, and yee gods I get tired of the fact that having none working eyeballs also means I don't have personal space.

Okay, well given the interest in this topic and me obviously being in something of a King mood, I started Just after sunset. I've read the first two stories so far and as has become my custom here I'll add some thoughts on each one, so beware spoiling spoilers of spoileriness beyond this point! Willa: Okay this was a rather cute premise which slightly missed the mark for me, though in fairness to King I suspect that's more a cultural matter. I gathered something was up with the people waiting in the station, and I did indeed wonder if they were dead, so nice to prove I'm write, also a great job by King on painting the people as the most annoying bunch of pasengers to get stuck with (I particularly liked how spot on he was with the cranky five year old), I also liked that Willa was neither entirely likable nor completely irritating, and that David recognised her faults, her spiky and occasionally selfish personality just as he still loved her. the problems came for me firstly in that the story felt a little long, since after we found out the people were all dead, matters seemed to drag a little. Then, while I liked the idea of Willa and David going back to try and get the rest of the people unstuck and them refusing, it didn't feel entirely right that Willa and David were themselves still stuck in the honkitonk bar anyway. I rather thought King should at least have implied that by moving out of the station and stopping waiting for the train, Willa and David might get the chance to move on, rather than just be stuck in the bar forever, which would also imply that the other passengers might get the chance to move on eventually as well (while she was annoying I thought it was a bit rough on the little girl, especially when her mother slapped her and physically dragged her off).Then again its entirely possible this is simply a cultural thing. I'm not entirely sure what "honkitonk" actually means, and having no especial liking for rock or country music, and an active dislike of places that are too noisy and crowded to converse, the idea of being stuck in a bar for all eternity sounds a bit like hell to me, whereas Willa, David and King obviously felt differently.Again, I might have been able to accept if there was some possibility that they might pass over in the future, as occurred with the trucker at the truck stop in James tiptree Junior's;  aka Alice Sheldon's, story, her smoke rose up forever, indeed I wonder if King read that story as there are some striking similarities in plot, if not quite in style, though ironically for a writer known for zir grim take on things, tiptree's story ends surprisingly well.So all in all, Willa wasn't a  bad story, not a favourite, though how much of this was just King's preferences over mine for an afterlife I don't know. the gingerbread girl: Okay this one was a lot of fun,  particularly the onrunning battle with the psychopath. Indeed, it  interesting reading this one so soon after Gerald's game and noting a few of the same feelings, even some similar turns of description around physical cramps, muscle pain etc, indeed only Stephen King could make the act of pulling yourself off a chair you'd been duct taped to quite as agonising, or as riveting. I genuinely loved the run up the beach and the way the psycho got his just deserts, though I felt rather sorry for the nice Mexican chap, still deaths of innocents are par for the course in horror stories. I'd also call this one an absolute crash course in how to setup an ending with payoff and deal with your character's skills. We know that Emily  has been training herself as a runner, we see her do it in the book, so her kicking free of the chair and out running the crazy murderer is almost the exact opposite of a deus ex machina,  would that be a devil stuck in a tree? .My only two miner issues were how we got to the big confrontation, and the character  of Emily's husband. Rather like Jessy in the Stand), henry just seemed to get written off with a little contempt, and I could never really understand how these two people could've been happy together at first. I get that King just had to find an excuse to get Emily to florida and with a running obsession and that a husband would get in the way, but he could've done it with a little less contempt,  EG, maybe she just had to go to Florida to clear her head and get out of the house where she'd lost her baby. Then again, since I've never fathered a child, much less lost one, I can't say what that would do to someone's marriage, and hay maybe Emily and henry (surprised their daughter wasn't called Dorathy), weren't too fond of each other to begin with. My second issue with the story is more critical. Emily sees  Deek the old bridge keeper who warns her away from the nasty Pickering, okay, however then Pickering, a guy who has apparently made murdering several women a year pretty much a regular summer occurrence, just happens to leave the

Surprisingly enough, it doesn't happen to me a lot, though I don't go out that much. When I do, I generally get Lyft or Uber to where I'm going, or go with someone else. I haven't really had experiences with the insistent grabbers, but have had people come up to me. I've never had someone grab my cane, it's always me if they do it. I've never been dragged, they just would sort of guide me along. If I find it advantageous, I just let them do it, otherwise I say no thanks and shake them off.

I am not saying criticism is wrong and I’m sorry if it came out that way. I was simply addressing the ones who say it in a negative things. It is understandable that you want it more accessible. However, the thing is this. There is a good approach and a bad approach. And the people who take the negative approach are the ones that make devs not want to add accessibility. So as previously stated, will it be perfect? Of course not. Will it improve in future releases? Possibly. And finally, do we have the right to contact the dev and ask about improvements? Of course. Just be careful how you word it. Plain and simple

A question about GMA games

So I never asked this before and tried to find an answer via forum search becahse I thought someoen else had; apparently not (or I mis-searched). Anyway, most GMA-based games have a keystroke to send the map of the current level to a file. I did this and tried opening it and found a curious structure (for level 1 of SOD):19 ggg

1 I am assuming that each number in the left column is an X coordinate. (Correct me if I am wrong.) As I write this I am playing the game, so am retracing my steps back to the original starting point.So now I'm there, right up against the (bottom left?) corner of the map. According to the W key, that's coordinates 18, 18. Checking the map file on the 18th x coordinate, I see that the 19th character is a 'g', and so is the first. This must logically mean that 'a' is an 'open passage'. Sidestepping to the bottom right brings me to coordinates 18, 18, again. (That does make me wonder if passages are a row of coordinates; the X or left/right axis seems to be ignored when sidestepping left and right, whereas the Y axis seems to be acknowledged by the game.)Taking a few steps forward, I have just determined that a single coordinate is exactly 5 steps in the Y axis. Strangely, the game lists the coordinates backwards as a (y, x) pare, and not as an (x, y) pare (I think).Now for the first door in this passageway. Its at 9, 18. Checking on the 18 coordinate in the file, I see an 'a', so that must not be right. Scrolling down to the line starting with 9, I see all spaces.This is where I am confused. Mu questions ultimately boil down to:1) A 'g' (lowercase) means a wall. An 'a' (lowercase) means an open area. What does a space mean?2) Is the file organized with the left-hand column being X coordinates?3) What does a 'X' indicate?Checking on this level, the elevator is at 15, 2. However, scanning that row of the file, I (again) see all spaces. I am quite confused. I would appreciate it if someone could help me figure this file out -- it would be awesome to build a parser/generator for them just for the hell of it.

In some fields (social services is a good example, but not the only one) a disability, while still an issue, can sometimes act as a good thing because if you have a lot of associated skills and otherwise fit the bill for a good employee, your disability may turn into a strength, since it proves you're dealing with adversity. YMMV in other fields here, mind you.

I carefully read the description of the game and the instructions within it in the audiogames.net database.2. I went to the steam website and signed up, confirming my email address.3. The guide says that I could also buy a title by clicking on its link, so I decided that it was my best bet, and clicked the url page of the game within its entry on the audiogames.net.4. There I have found that it mentions Steam in the coppyright at the bottom of the page (assuming the website uses it for transactions), clicked the shop link, and everything seemed right in terms of what I wanted (the 2nd encore) and the price.5. I gave my paypal info and my billing address and clicked to check out, then to pay as I would normally do when a site redirects me to Paypal.6. Two emails arrived, one from skullgirls.com, and one from Paypal, with the info about the order details. Neither of these emails contained any key, code or links, except the order number.That was it. Now, I am not finding the library, as I described before, as the Steam client doesn't seem to work with NVDA at all. Nothing gets read, and even if it happens, whatever I click doesn't seem to react. So even if I find "library" with the NVDA review cursor in the context menu from the system tray, I don't get anything when I click it.That's it. If you need more details, let me know. In the meantime, please see if you can whether I should have the basic version of the game too before I purchase the 2nd encore. I've gotten it fixed so everything worked out. I do have a couple of questions about the DVD audio extractor. First when I put in a DVD some info pops up, but when I look at what I can copy in the list it shows title numbers, for example title 1, 2 and so on. How do I get it to show the DVDs names of things like names of episodes, special features and things like that? I read in the manual that you have to enter the medidata manually, but I couldn't do that myself without sighted assistance. Then how do I copy audio description off dvds? I can convert DVDS to mp3s with no problem, but I can't figure out how to turn on the audio description feature. I know, silly questions, but things like that aren't discussed on the program's website.

Hi,yeah, that is a way, but overloading the map operator would be more efficient. By doing that and accepting a string as comparable, checking if the string equals the map name, you can use the built-in methods of python lists to find the map you're looking for, like:def find_map(name):
  idx = my_map_list.index(name)
  if idx >= 0:
return my_map_list[idx]
  return NoneTo write a function that finds a certain map, without worrying about the way to walk through those lists yourself.Just an idea. You can do pretty performant and nice-looking things by simply overloading operators, in whatever language.Best Regards.Hijacker

Compared to something like Forza, ow'm not really sure how much less playable it actually is. But yes, Mario Tennis Aces is playable (it is difficult but managable). ARMS is also playable (a 3-D fighting game produced by Nintendo). Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 should be playable, because the other games in the series before them were playable as well. As for Fire Emblem, I'm not sure. I've heard of people playing it, but I have no personal experience.Super Mario Maker 2 is playable (it is difficult to navigate, but placing elements in a level is accessible, due to a voice that sings which element you put down. Super Mario Party is a quite playable game if you have friends to play with (the minigames can be played by yourself, but what's a party without friends over?)

Hi there,I recently heard someone demonstrating this on Dabel, and it sounded as if they were making it sound like DecTalk. Then I think I heard that person say something about Ditty, and I vaguely recall that it was available as an Alexa skill.So, I downloaded Google Assistant onto my phone and told it to sing me a song. However, it only played really short clips of music. Is there some command one must input to make it do other things?I found this Google Help but couldn't find anything useful.If anyone knows more about this and how to make it do more things, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you!

When I was little I was fearless. I don’t exactly know why. So I was playing on the jungle gym and a kid asked me if I wanted to play tag. Now I knew this jungle gym very well as it was a park that my street dead ended at and I been there lots of times. My plan was to run across the bridge and grab the fireman’s pole and slide down it. I could have also turned and ran up a platform to a slide. So I say sure and start running. I run across the bridge off the platform hit the pole fall to the ground and start crying. My mom explained to the kid that I was blind and he said “Oh man I’m sorry I didn’t know!”. I felt bad for making the kid feel bad and as much as it hurt I was bummed that I didn’t pull it off. Another time we were camping and we went a lot with my extended family. I was still at the age where I liked to run around and had no fear. My mom’s solution tie a rope between 2 trees that if I hit I would know to turn back. It worked and the rope prevented me from getting to close to the river. The time comes to pack up and the rope was taken down. I was walking around when I slid down the river bank. No broken or twisted limbs just me and this river bank that was maybe an inch taller than me. So I can get my head above the bank but couldn’t manage to pull myself up. Luckily I heard my cousin and she pulled me up. I did a lot less running around after that. When I was 10 or 11 I was riding my scooter at a house I never been to before down this large driveway. Someone was at the bottom to make sure I didn’t shoot off in to the street. So I speed down the driveway and everyone is yelling at me to go right. I didn’t react in time and hit a cement block at the end of the driveway. I flew off my scooter and got some mad air before landing on the cement. That really hurt. Needless to say I’m not as adventuress as I was as a kid.Once I tried skiing with the PA blind sports organization. I was doing well at it and listened to the ski instructor. We were on the ski lift and she said wait until I tell you to stand and she probably even told me why but I can’t remember. For some reason I was either tired of listening to her or I just wanted to be finished so as soon as my feet touched the ground I stood and then got knocked over by the ski lift. That’s all the stories I have for now of stupid things I did as a kid.

I haven’t considered that, mostly because I did not ever try to override default operators. I also am not totally sure what do you mean by saying comparison method that checks for map names.  I was just going to create a function that  loops through the list and tries to find a match by checking all the map names. This happened to me all the time in the bus terminal. One time I was walking and I knew that when my cane hits this wall that is when I have to turn. A guy starts yelling out of nowhere LEFT LEFT LEFT. It's like really dude if I listened to him it probably would have thrown me off. At least he didn't grab me but I still felt stupid for ignoring him. I had just gotten off a bus and was walking the right way to the door going into the terminal when this person for no reason grabs me and shoves me through the door. I've experienced this less taking Uber and Lyft as the drivers usually ask me if I need help and respect my answer. I thankfully have never been dragged by my cane. I've heard stories of people that had and that would really piss me off. The problem for me is that once I'm traveling somewhere I'm focused on that so much that if I get pushed or dragged it takes me a moment to register it and by the time I'm pissed off about it they're gone. I'm trying to get better at this so I can say something in the moment but I haven't taken public transportation in a while so it hasn't happened to me recently. I do have the issue of when I ask for help people take my arm or hand and that is easier for me to correct. I would understand someone grabbing me if I was about to step off a train platform or into a busy lane of traffic but that's different.

Well if someone does a shitty job - look I haven't heard how the self-voice in Madden (mangled spelling?) is, but if it's such a big issue, it should be obvious to the devs too. Just like how it was obvious that Ronda did a horrible job at voice-acting. People continuosly give them crap about it, and why shouldn't they? No one is directly telling them that if you don't remove Ronda I'm not going to play this game, but it's a negative aspect they're highlighting. Likewise, the shitty voice in maddens menus isn't going to break the feature, so you're welcome to bitch about how horrible it is all day long and why? Because it's true and because it's funny. If you mess up that bad, you deserve to be riddiculed - not harassed or bullied, but just mildly riddiculed for stupid shit. No one is going to remove your accessibility just because you complain about it, if it's already implemented. Or well you can, but expect a profit loss, I can assure you that these companies squeeze out money whever they can.
