I completely agree with everyone, but I do have a question.Why is it that we whites only here about what they're saying about us?Why doesn't the government seem to be doing anything about these crimes?I have reason to believe that there might be descrimination as far as justice is concerned.I've heard stories of blacks killing whites and either getting away with it or getting comparitively short sentences and whites killing blacks and not only getting much longer sentences, but then the E F F makes a huge scene.During the lockdown, one of the ministers in government decided that it would be a good idea to ban cigarettes. Hi.So, prepare for a very long post.As some of you may know, Africa's population is predominantly made up of, how do I say this?Is it alright to call them black people/blacks? Sorry, I'm not sure about this.Anyway, South Africa does have a small white population, most of which speak Afrikaans. I'm white, and I speak English as my first language. So I'm a minority of a minority.From 1948 to 1994, South Africa had a racial segrigation system called apartheid.It basically gave the whites all the rights and treated the black people like 4th class citizens.When it was abolished, it was natural that they should be aforded some opportunities.However, in recent years, the government launched a program called B E E (Black economic empowerment), which in theory was supposed to support black businesses. However, companies are now hyering not based on the qualifications that you have, but on the color of your skin. My producer was going to do some voice work for a cirtain company and while he was on his way to the studio, his producer was told that they'd decided to hyer the black voice instead.One of my friends was going to apply for a job, and she had some paperwork with which she presented them. A black lady arrived who apparently could not speak English and she apparently did not have qualifications, and they decided to hyer her instead.Let me make something very clear. I firmly believe that everyone should be afordedd the same opportunities, regardless of race or political offiliation.It was what Nelson Mandela fought for, after all.However, the current administration does not seem to be in agreement. Of course they won't admit it, but they seem to be pushing us aside.Again, I'm not saying that black people shouldn't get these jobs, but I'm saying that everybody should be aforded these opportunities regardless of weather they're black or white.And then there's Julius Malema. Those are all some very good ideas. I have both sequence storm and slay the Spire, but I haven’t played sleigh yet. I just don’t know how to get it working, and plus my laptop charger just broke. What exactly are these aftershockz you speak of? I’ve never heard of them before.

I suppose you’re right. The only problem is that we have dogs who are not exactly very accommodating. Luckily we don’t have very strong winds here. This isn’t very easy. What would you recommend I do? I know a remote control car won’t  be a good idea, that’s why I thought of something that can fly around in the air. We don’t have very smooth surfaces close to where I live.

Hi. While I like the idea of the train set, I don’t think I will have enough room in my house. I have always wanted an artificially intelligent virtual pet. The problem is that most of these so-called pets are designed for young children and most of them require the use of an inaccessible mobile app. The only exception to these rules is the Aibo, And that only costs $50,000. So yeah. Unfortunately, Tamagotchis don’t give any sort of useful audible feedback.

Hi all.So, I've been wanting a vehicle that can fly that is operated by a remote control.Nothing too fancy, but something that can be easily controled/operated.With the rise in phone controled vehicles, I'm not too sure what to do.A family member recommended a small water vehicle, but I don't know.I've heard that blind people are not only able to fly, but to fly these vehicles in a way that they are usable.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.With my brother finally able to come out of isolation tomorrow (he was infected with the koronavirus) we will finally be able to drive to Macro to have a look around.Thanks.

Hi guys.So, I got this microphone yesterday. When I plug it in, it either cuts out the skype audio or any and all audio entirely. I recently broke the audio drivers on my computer, so was thinking this might be the issue.I need this mik for school.Does anyone know how to fix this?Thanks in advance.

I find that a little hard to do, as they sometimes make some of the other students read from the textbook. Those students are located all around the room.

Hi guys.Some of the sighted history textbooks came with a CD wrom with some things on it, so I gave that a try.Well, it seems to be additional exercizes and some sort of interactive quiz test thingy that isn't accessible at all.The history book isn't available in digital form.I know braille is dying, but it is way easier to study with imho.

Hi folks.I hope everything is going well.I really need some advice.So, I go to a mainstreem school.I don't do the South African Curriculum as this school teaches Caimbridge.I have a Major, Major problemI don't have any braille textbooks.The only textbooks I have are textbooks from the elevate website, they are computer sciences and business studies.I find it quite hard to use these books as I can't find an accessible way to get the page numbers.Afrikaans and english do not really use textbooks.I need History, Business studies and Computer science textbooks in braille.However, I was told that Caimbridge refuses to sell us the books for some reason.As I do not do the South African curriculum, I don't think the government will help me.There are 2 reasons for this.Firstly, not even some of the government run schools have braille textbooks for their blind students.Second, they have enough problems to deal with as it is.The braille printing company that does a lot of the printing here has agreed to print the books for me, all for the tiny sum of R12 per book (about $7000).There is no way in hell that I would be able to pay for the 3 books I might need, only to need new ones next year.I also contacted the presidency about this, but I got no response.I don't mean to sound entitled, but I have no idea what I'm going to do.

Hi.Thanks for the advice.I'm looking at an atomic talking watch for around R749 with stainless steal strap and loud male voice.However, are there atomic clocks in South Africa?I really don't want a useless watch.As for the Iphone sale, let me explain.So, I tried selling my phone on Gumptry for R7000, but the first interested party didn't get back to me on if he was interested or not.The second person gave me the what's app account to a company called new age technology.He didn't seem to remember who I was and what I was selling.When I told him that the cash would have to be an instant transfer, he didn't seem happy to pay the extra R20, about $1 to make the transfer instant as we didn't use the same bank.He then wanted to meet with me somewhere to "make a cash deal", and I was not up for nigotiation.Plus, seemed kind of like a scam, didn't it?So my aunt is going to buy it for my grandmother's birthday in a few weeks, and she's going to pay R2000 for it.That's a lot less than I would have liked, but its better than nothing.

Looking for talking watches.

Hi guys.So, I'm selling my Iphone, and I'm looking to purchase a talking watch.I don't always have the time to check my phone at school, and besides I love watches lol.So, let me explain what I'm looking for.First, and probably most important, I want a watch with a male voice.I've had about 5 different watches over the years, from watches with hands to talking watches that were sold for R30 (about $1.50), and they've all used the same, jeneric female voice.I'd like one with a nice man voice, preferably american, but doesn't really matter.Second, I'd like one of those nice watches with the stopwatch, calendar, hourly report, and all those nice features that my previous watches didn't have.Also, while I don't mind paying for a good watch, I can't go over R2000, I don't know how much this is in dollars.I'd also like the watch to have one of those nice metal straps, or at least have the ability to change them.I'd also like to avoid buying from company websites, I'd like to buy from amazon as they are the easiest to import here into south africa.I'm also not looking for a smart watch as I need it to be independant.Are there any watches like this?Sorry if this is written badly, I'm at school so have to hurry. Hi folks.So, for those of you who don't know, foxit reader is a pdf reader that works with screen readers.So, I got my afrikaans pdf file, but it won't let me view the actual content.When I open the file, it just shows the filename.Does anyone know how to fix this?

I'm leaving, for now.

Hi guys.So, I've been dreading the moment that would make me finally decide to hang up my coat and hat.I joined this forum in the summer of 2014, just before I was due to go off to boarding school.This account was with me through what was probably the worst period of my life.Throughout all the constant misery, one of the few things I could look forward to was checking this forum.It was one of my only links to the outside world, from which I was removed for three torturous months at a time.I would always find some new discussions and games to make the wait worth my while.I've been here for six years.I've matured from a young boy to almost a man, almost.Many of my greatest memories lie in these bits and bites, ones and zeros, whatever you wanna call them.However, the recent downward trend has made me consider leaving.I've seen many good members of this community go before me, and it was a matter of time before I new I'd have to do the same thing.When I look at what has become of this great forum, I feel sorry for what it has become.I think of the good old days of 14 and 15, and being able to post and get a friendly reply 90 percent of the time.I remember seeing members of this community help each other in times of need, gaming or otherwise.Where is that now?Not to say that doesn't happen anymore, but there never used to be so much drama.I won't be participating in topics as much, if at all.I won't be gone for ever, just for the foreseeable future.I might post occasionally, but I won't be very active.I ask you to please not remove my account, because I might yet return.I've made a lot of great friends in the community.I'll still be talking to you guys.If anyone I know would like my contact details, please send me a forum email.Anyway, I'm not gone for ever, I'll still be hangin around.Thanks for everything.

There's absolutely no way that anyone in their right mind would pay R200 for an xbox one, if this is in dollars, would that get a ps4?I think my dad will get the copy of the game.The brand new ps4 goes for about R6000 with three games, I can't find any ps4s on there own.One guy was selling a ps4 and 19 games for R1, but I'm not interested in the games.

Thanks for the advice.I've decided that I'm going to put it on gumtry.Here's what I've got.Xbox one S in basically perfect condition.Charge N play battery included.You'll have to provide your own micro usb cable as the default one broke.HTMI and power cables.One controler.The usb port on the controler is a little sensative, so don't play with it while it charges.The following games. Madden NFL20, halo 5, mafia 3 and mortal kombat X in a metal cover.None of the codes work though.How much should I sell this for?The console is just over 2 years old.Please convert your price into south african rand and round it off?Thanks.Edit, forgot to mention 7 days to die in the list of games. Hi.Those are some good points.There are some advantages though.First, my library is mostly digital.All of my good games are tied to my xbox live account.Second, my friend has an xbox one.This means that I'll still be able to play some of my games.There are games that I'd like to play on the ps 4.Horizon zero dawn, possibly second son and a few others.

Hi guys.So, with the last of us part 2 having just come out I've decided to get rid of my xbox 1 in order to grab a ps4.I spoke to my father about it, and while he says I can do it, he wants me to think about my existing library also.He says that I might not have anything to play after I've beaten the game.Those are some good points, but I don't really use my xbox anyway.I've already played the hell out of both my madden games.I don't really want to get rid of my xbox, but its not really like I have a choice if I want to play the game.Apparently ps4 rentals do exist, but they charge 110 rand (equivalent to about $10) per day.I don't know about you, but that's a hell of a lot of money to spend on a rental.I don't want to rush through the game, I want to take my time.My brother suggests I wait for the ps5, but that's going to be way too expensive.I also don't know about the accessibility. My brother wants to buy the xbox, but he says he won't be able to pay the full price at once.Okay, fine.I just really don't want to wait 5 or 6 months for him to pay the full amount.I want to play the game sooner than later.I don't think he'll be very happy if I sell to someone else.I don't mind waiting a month or so, but anywhere past that is asking a bit much.I know I'm beeing impatient, but I've got about three weeks of holiday and I'd like to at least start the game before school resumes.What should I do?

Hi.Thanks for the requests.Unfortunately, I'm not able to compose music just yet.I find the 8-bit track to the song I want on youtube, and then I try and find the isolated vocal track/ acapela.I only mix these together.I'd love to learn to make music though.BTW am working on 8-bit versions of bohemian rapsady and killer queen, with a possible 8-bit version of grenade by bruno mars.
