Re: Any Red Dwarf fans out there?

At dark, last human. I'll check it out. Where can I go for the books and all that good stuff?I've never read the books. the first thing that got me into the series was the deck talk stuff. Should be interesting to read the books/literature though.as for the vending machine with a lisp, well, I always sort of thought of the vending machines opperating on a sort of tube system, that had malfunctioned with that particular machine. Then, perhaps something had taken place off screen. I wouldn't put it passed both the scutters and rimmer to put parts and pieces where they shouldn't go haha. then, once they did, whatever they did, there was a certain piece or servo or something that was placed into the wrong part of the machine. And then when the machine's units failed, every servo or whatever controls the tubes, failed as well. So, there's your pare of boots and that bucket. Lol

Now this, is a show that I can watch for hours on end.Every tuesday, dad and I will spend hours watching it, hardly getting anything done because we are laughing so much, so hard.I have seasons 1 through 10 and we're on season4.Just riting this is making me laugh. The episode that I like the most so far is the DNA one.especially the part when Criton becomes human, and he's overcome with, well, certain feelings.I quote David Lister. No piece of electronics should ever give a man a double Polaroid!Haha rofl!

Re: how to fix sapi5

Believe it or not I'm experiencing the exact same issue. Deluserlex does nothing, and neither does reinstalling the runtimes or any voices. I can use narrator just fine, but in NVDA I can't use sapi5, as it gives out the can't load synthisizer message. Same with any sapi dependent audiogames. Attempting to select a voice or change any settings gives me an error message as well. For example, somehow I can get e speak to work in psyco strike, but I can't change anything else.I think that there was a diagnostic utility or something that actually found and repaired sapi5 but I wouldn't know where to find it if it existed, and google only gives me the deluserlex file.

Hey all,At Dark, don't worry, I definitely do watch my weight. I'm actually 179 to 183 pounds depending on the time of day, clothing I happen to be whering at the time, etcetera. This is down from 245 pounds. I have honestly never felt better. But with the cookies, I usually have 4 at best, and that's usually after working out, pushing myself over my limits in the process. Don't also forget about the willpower that accompanies the cookies and other ice cream and chippy runns as well. For example, tonight, I was going to revvle in the single freedumness that is my life and dig rite into my colvers custard quart, not stopping until I was in some sort of crazy sugar coma. well, all I did was look at the container for a minute, then place it rite back into the freezer. But, if I eventually for some strange reason, wish to slam on the pounds and become a blimp, I'll definitely mannige to do that in a shortish amount of time. Haha. But in all ser

I may be a bachelor who possibly definitely has the cryteria for becoming a fat bastard, but I don't wish to do this and cause my arterys and my vital organs any issue. That's just not fare to my health, or to the rest of my family members who depend and rely on the thin version of rockmaster rob. Version2.0. As for the marriage partner freedom thing, you have to be super de duper lucky mate. At least where I come from, and with my experiences. For some reason, the ladies over here want that controll. They want to be able to tell there partners when to do this, that and some of the other. they want to be able to keep close tabs on the weight. And depending on who you end up with, they will even go as far as to put the men on a diet, either of there own creation or of a well known origen, so that he loses however many extra pounds he

I could go on and on about reading time, headphone time, gaming time, tv show time, time with the mates, Lavatory arrangements, sleeping arrangements etcetera, but that would become a book full of my personal experiences and the likes. Haha Lol. But let's just say that when it came to lav stuff, the last time that I was partnered, my calone kit was not in the lavatory. neither was my shaver kit, or my nail kits. It was rather interesting. And if I ever placed my stuff in the proper places, my kits weren't there for long. But I offen find myself wondering. Why are very many of the ladies like that over here in these parts. Whatever happened to the old saying, love me for who I am, not for what you want me to be. If you say that here where I reside, chances are, you may get looked at like you're a nutball. I guess I'm just old fassioned that way

Re: Monthly chat August 2016

Hey all. This post got quite long, so if you love to read, grab your favorite snack and drink combo of choice, and sit back and enjoy the ride. Well, I'm actually just writing what comes to mind. Everything here is very interesting on a readers end of things, especially Aprone's posts regarding his work with iorn and mettal. I always find molding to be interesting. I used to do similar stuff back when I was in highschool, under loads of supervision haha. It wasn't metttals though, it was a glass type material. But at the beginning, it was some type of clay or something like that, as when I first started, it was just a huge clay like block on a mettal sheet . The material, whatever it was, couldn't be hand molded. You needed the proper machines and tools. I m
ade a nice sized bowl that, apparently could be placed into the microwave and used to eat food out of. You could also store and refridgerate food in it too. I haven't tested that yet and I don't wish to, as it took me alittle over half the school year to make, 8 years ago. I don't have it at this moment as it's still back at my old place, and we have yet to find it in one of many family art project boxes in the basement lol. I used to put my spare change in it, before I realized that all my change can be taken, despite me placing all of my change into my cool bowl. It then became a candy dish. Haha. Speaking of candy dishes, I also made a wooden m and m dispenser. This was supposed to be a novelty project, that actually worked and turned out to be rather useful. You filled it via one of those glass jamm jars that you screw the mettal tops onto, minus the mettal top. The ring part of the mettal top was glewed into the top of the wooden part of the dispenser, so yo
u screwed the wooden half to the jar, then flipped it over so that the jar faces upwards. The actual mettal top was punched out, leaving just the ring piece. But once the jar is filled and the dispenser is properly assembled, simply turn the wheel and enjoy your m and m's, which were dispensed into the wooden base. I still use it to this day.Other than that, I've been getting used to living in my own place. I moved into my apartment this passed July, and so far it's been pretty interesting. Now that I'm out from under my parent's wings and standing on my own 2 feet, I can finally start to create goals and things for my future without rodeblocks getting in my way, which were caused by living in the care of a family member as an adult. but that's all been eliminated, so now all future vistas have been opened for me. The only thing that can hinder and slow down my progress in getting a job, college, raising a family etcetera, are the indeviduals at t
he vocational rehabillitational agencys. They haven't been as bad or as stubbern as they could be, so I currently can't complain haha.As for computers and the likes,At dark, your post about still running xp and finding issues with program compatabillity have enspired me to take invintory and put it here.Let's see here. I have 2 dell laditude d820 laptops which run xp, both with all stock parts. same with my laditude d830, which has all stock parts, but actually runs Linux. The d830 used to run xp, but I converted it to Linux in 2012, as I had no use for 3 machines running xp. not to mention, somehow that machine had gotten some keylogger that just would not budge. I could throw every single scanner, free or payed at this keylogger, and it just stuck. It effected everything, from the wireless card switch, to the trackpad section to the keyboard. It was bad. But it works super smooth running linux now though haha. But apart from the 3 laditudes, I
have another dell, the xpsl702x, which runs windows7 x64. I have 2 macs, 1 2014 macbook pro13 inch which is currently running OSX Yosemite, and a nice old 15 inch macbook which runs OSX Leopard. Aah, my first mac. I still love the 15 inch, and I still do use it at times.I also have some other desktop machines, 1 is a dell demention 9100 running xp, and another is a rather old dell which, believe it or not, runs windows98. All of these machines, including the clasic units, work perfectly. And they all have the original stock parts. But, we can't forget about this Lenovo Thinkstation which is the bred and butter of my studio, and the main central computer for my network. This thing runs windows7 x64, and has gigs and gigs of space, both ram and harddrive. Quad-core is written all over the processer, and all of this, along with the hd grafics card and the dedicated 2 gigs of video memmory, definitely puts 85 percent of my machines to shame. This unit is more than perfe
ct for gaming, especially if you're an avid gamer like myself. I am actually thinking of adding way more ram to this Lenovo unit. Re: Work with children

Hey Jonikster,This has definitely gotten mixed responses, but I do wish to share my thoughts on this. I apologize, as this got rather longer than intended. This post is mainly based on the area of where I live along with my research over the years, but this should hopefully assist you.So from what I can gather, you're looking to work with and teach children from 2 to 10 years of age.First and formost. Everything with this profession depends on where you live, along with your age. for example. Out of my area of Milwaukee wisconsin, the establishment has a much different and more strict view on who can, and can not work with children in general. When I last checked, several world wide places outside of Milwaukee Wisconsin have a strong view that Men of all ages in particular are basicly deamed pure evil towards children, and that they have no business even looking at them, especially if they are disabled. I do recommend that you check with your local area
childcare agencys and find out what your laws, rules, regulations, expectations and age limits are for working with children, caring for them etcetera. Also, if you're still in Highschool, there may be a class or 2 that you can take for this purpose. I took said classes in my 11th and 12th grade year and passed. But the childcare judgment thing is rather unfortunate, because this is a very twisted sterriotype that needs to be deeply evaluated and flattened in many parts of the world. However, this sterriotype has been pretty much debunked in Milwaukee several years ago. I think that the debunking started after I gave my rather Stereotypical childcare teacher the tung lashing of a lifetime. Haha just kidding, although the tung lashing was very loud and real .But anyhow, where I currently reside now, it is rather easy to get some type of workers position, weather it be vo
llintary or payed, as a visually impaired/disabled indevidual. All that I would need is to be in or out of highschool, and 18 years of age or older to get started, along with some sort of agency to represent me as an interested candidate for the position. In fact, the agency in question is called Vision Forward, who has a childrens department built rite into the structure. They have never had that before, it was recently added, which is definitely awesome. Now, if I were to land the position, a sighted assistant is required. I'm unsure if it's constantly during the time that I'm working, or until the indevidual feels cumfortable, and the assistant either 1, hangs back and interveens less over time, or 2, stops assisting altogether. I remember that in my highschool classes, my assistant would hang back after some time in the feeld. As for agencys and organizations outside of my highschool, I haven't researched that far yet about sighted assistance, as I'
m more focused on other afares at the moment. But I do know that 1 is, at least, required none the less. But apart from working with and teaching children, I could even go beyond that here. Say I have the desire to foster/adopt a child, in my area limits. No problem in the slightest. I just have to take the required classes, complete and pass the lessons and the materials and go through the background check, evaluation and authorization processes. In fact, I know 2 fully functioning visually impaired familys, along with 1 visually impaired single man, all living locally here, and who have all adopted children, and there children in question have never been better off. I also know of several blind teachers, both mail and female, who do a super fantastic job at what they do. I myself have even been tought by said indeviduals. They also have had, and successfully raised children themselves, along with teaching others. So yes. Working with children and more can be very possibl
e for you. If you do your research, keep on it, and put your mind, your sole and your body into what you truly wish to do, then by all means, go for it, work towards your goals and your dreams, and reap those rewards. the feeling is so great.Best Regards,Rob

I'm unsure if it's constantly during your shift, or until the indevidual feels cumfortable, and the assistant either 1, hangs back and interveens less over time, or 2, stops assisting altogether. I remember that in my highschool classes, my assistant would hang back after some time in the feeld. As for agencys and organizations outside of my highschool, I haven't researched that far yet about sighted assistance, as I'm more focused on ot
her afares at the moment. So yes. Working with children and more can be very possible for you. If you do
your research, keep on it, and put your mind, your sole and your body into what you truly wish to do, then by all means, go for it, work towards your goals and your dreams, and reap those rewards. the feeling is so great.Best Regards,Rob

Re: Harry potter books memories from harry potter fans

[[wow]]. this got interesting very fast.As for the american books versus what I like to call, the Normal books, I'm beginning to take a liking to the normal books, read by Steven Frie. I'm even noticing that there are bits and bobs of the story, which are cut out of the american books, almost like when cuts are made in sindicated reruns of tv shows. I'm not a big fan of when bits and bobs are cut from things haha .I also love the proper words used in the normal books, rather than the americanised words in the other versions. I wish I could remember some instances when this occurs, as I find it rather interesting, and by hearing the non americanised english, allows me to expand and learn. As for blind wizards, I just can't see how there would be. Hey, just think of the things that Mad Eye Moody could see if he had 2 majical eyes instead of 1? He wou
ld probably be the only unfoolable wizard in wizard kind

Re: Harry potter books memories from harry potter fans

I love and definitely agree with everything said here about Harry Potter. the part in the 5th book where Serious fell through that strange vail, did cause me to stop reading and focus on the vail, which didn't get me anywhere lol. I can read that particular section for years and years and still never be able to explain that vail. For example, what is its main purpose? What was with the whispering voices behind the curtain? Why could Harry Potter and Luna Lovegood here the voices, when Hermione could not? I wonder if it was ever covered in any fan fictions? Then you also do have the thestrals. Harry saw both his mother and father get killed. So that just doesn't make sense. he should have saw those Thestrals the first time he ever set foot on platform 9and3quarters. I could go on for hours haha.As for fond memmories of my experiences with the series, I remember getting into it full blown when I was 11. It was just before my 6th grade year, and I remember readin
g the first audiobook completely in 1 and a half days. It was pretty cool. As of today, I've read all 7 audiobooks from Jim Dail at least 7 times, and 3 and a half of the Steven Frie audiobooks once, I got both sets and they're both awesome in there own original way

Re: Wondering if Tracktor DJ is accessible

Yes, Serato Dj definitely works on windows. I have it on my windows7 laptop as a backup, but my primary machine is my mac. As for DJay2, I haven't tryed that software with any of my hardware yet, but I do stick with serato because with DJay Original, I have to have my hands on my mac more than my dj gear because the scrolling/brows features on the hardware respond quite slowly while using the software. Perhaps that was fixed in DJay 2? As for serato, I can quickly turn the scrolling knob and get from letter A to D in a few seconds in my library. Like I've said above, I'm more than happy to post tutorials and things on my particular setup and such.

Re: Wondering if Tracktor DJ is accessible

Hey Gamesmaster,This post became a bit lengthy, I apologize. I hope that this assists you If you're using an IOS Device, I don't think that Traktor will be usable with voice-over. I've heard of the app produced by Native Instruments but I've always shyed away from IOS Dj Apps and things because of the lack of, and restrictions of usability, both with voice-over and without it. I know for a fact that traktor isn't usable on both mac and windows, and even with a Midi controller, I couldn't grasp the software, even with the hardware. Definitely quite confusing. But if you're looking for a dj setup with your iDevice, I would look into IOS Dj Controllers. I know that the brand named Numark makes them, but I'm unsure if the numark units work with the new lightning cable and conection, as IOS for dj's wasn't noticed but for a brie
f period, and IOS ended up not being used much in the dj comunity, although they do have some products for it. I can assist you in looking into IOS Dj Controllers further if you would like. But as treditional dj setups go, If you have a Mac, I would get DJay Pro along with purchasing a good Midi Controller, as DJay can be used with voice-over. If you don't like DJay pro, You could also download a software called Serato Dj along with purchasing a Serato Dj Controller, which can not be used with voice-over, however if you use ITunes for your music, and if you have ITunes set to share the library with other applications, all of your tracks will be imported and ready to go upon launching the software. For windows, you unfortunately have to get assistance in setting up Serato to use your ITunes library manualy, but it's definitely worth it.I personally use a Mac with Serato and Controller, and I love it. I never have to worry about looking at my software, because if I had
to, I wouldn't be able to anyhow. Everything is tacked rite to the hardware, from browsing and loading tracks to dsp effects.I know this post got quite long, so if you have any questions, don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks for reading,Rob.
