Re: SAPI voices: your thaughts? Id personally recommend Ivona Amy if youre looking for a human-like sounding voice.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=175501#p175501 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector
Re: SAPI voices: your thaughts?
Re: SAPI voices: your thaughts? Hi.I would only recommend Nextup.com for voice samples. I dont think any of their voices are SAPI compatible because they require that stupid text aloud product. So, only go to next up.com for voice samples.Speaking of Infovox 3, is that a free version of the Infovox 4 sapi voices for Windows? It may not be free though.Well, if acapela isnt an option you have limited choices.I keep recommending Ivona, although each voice is $45 which is a bit too much for a SAPI 5 voice. There is also cepstral but those dont sound very good.Aside from that, everyone else has decided that for what ever stupid reason, they dont want to sell SAPI voices. I have no idea why and its really bugging me.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=175508#p175508 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector
Re: SAPI voices: your thaughts?
Re: SAPI voices: your thaughts? After Amazon purchased Ivona, I was really, really, really hoping they would lower the SAPI prices. Re: SAPI voices: your thaughts?
Re: SAPI voices: your thaughts? Well, this is really subjective. Seriously, the best thing you can do is look at Nextup.com, makers of TextAloud and sellers of TTS voices. In addition to TextAloud, youll find samples of other text-to-speech voices.Myself, I prefer eSpeak, because it is extremely responsive and can read at almost incomprehensible speeds.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=175493#p175493 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector

Re: SAPI voices: your thaughts?
Re: SAPI voices: your thaughts? Well, as for free SAPI voices, I still use eSpeak. But there are non-English SAPI voices that are also free, but Im not going to name them. I also happen to have SAPI5 DECtalk. Its free, and is based on DECtalk 4.6.4. I personally use Dennis, Harry, and Paul, because for me they sound decent, while I do not use the others because I do not like how they butchered them. I personally liked to have DECtalk 4.3 SAPI5. LH voices are alright. I have a few SAPI voices. If you have the JAWS 8 CD, you can get SAPI versions of RealSpeak voices, but thats so hard to find. There are individual installers for each voice, but theyre on NextUp.com. I personally like Infovox 3s voices very much, and Id recommend them.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=175349#p175349 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector
Re: SAPI voices: your thaughts?
Re: SAPI voices: your thaughts? I really like the sound of Ivona Sally on my iPhone in Voice Dream Reader. I got her there for 5 bucks. I know I can have her as a SAPI voice on my Windows computer as well, but I just cant justify spending $60 on one voice, no matter how good it is. Especially compared to the excellent prices of the vocalizer for NVDA voices.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=175354#p175354 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector

Re: SAPI voices: your thaughts?
Re: SAPI voices: your thaughts? Hi.If youre using windows eight, you can go to google and type in voices for NVDA and youll find the first heading press enter on it,youll be able to find the sapi five instructions to instal sapi five voices.Theyre nice if a bit big in size but if you want human ish sounding voices, go for sapi.Me myself I still use eloquence and E speak for its quick responsiveness.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=175310#p175310 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector
