The map curser clicks when you move it, and when you hold the arrow it won't wrap. When you choose a position on the map, you will fight soldiers on that portion of the map in a top-down perspective. To retreat, you just run to the boundary and that will bring you back out to the grid screen.

hi everyone,I don't know the actual status of sonifight, but i'd like to ask something.actually, i'm playing resident evil 2 remake on pc, with nvda's ocr, it is ... not accessible, but doable with patience, the only problem i have, is the cammera.the game has a resset cammera function. when you move the cammera, you can press r3 if using a controller, or mouse weel if you use keyboard and mouse, and the cammera will reset to it's deffault possition. but, if you move the cammera, then move your character, even if you aim, if you press r3 to resset it to default, the cammera will not be at the same possition it was before moving the character.i'm wondering, is there a way to save the initial values of the cammera so we can use a function or something to resset it to those values even if you moved your character or cammera?i think if we could do that, the game would be terribly easier for memorizing paths to locations, etc.

I think you mean TOR browser rather than tour. They sound very similar using a screen reader, but it's T, O, R, as in the onion router. Last time I checked, it was no longer accessible on my PC, but don't know about macs. I got a completely blank response using jaws and NVDA.

hi,as the topic has been brought back from its grave anyway, I guess it wouldn't hurt to ponder about what other content was supposed to be released. it is sad that the game never got continued but there was an additional story cutscene, right before the game started, which was replaced by audio narrated story in brief. it included around 5 minutes of real voice acted dialogue, along with proper ambiences and sequence. click hereI guess there was other content including dragons, snakes, villagers, lions and swamp and the likes, probably up to 5 levels but one can't be certain. bare in mind that the file I posted was received from another source and isn't first hand. in case Philip or anyone else has objections i'll take the thing down, but the fact that people deserve to at least hear the partial storyline specially when the game wouldn't be revived anytime in future is worthy enough.regards

Ok, if you read his old posts, you will observe that he doesn't really understand english and won't do anything because, wwell, using a translator for writing or something and I guess he never reads everything others post after him.I say this after seying his behavior in general.I can't blame the guy for not knowing alot of english, so, a moderator can just delete the the topic and pretend that it never hapenned.I mean he should be warned in some way, someone should send him a message in german and explain to him, other than that, I don't know.

hi, wow, I didn't know that story file was obtainable anywhere. Well, I guess it's cool to know how the intro would have sounded like. I especially liked the way the music transitioned as the scenes progressed. I mean sure, it was all prerendered but I can't name any other audio game apart from angel gift maybe that tries to actually be cinematic about things like this.

In short, unfortunately not.  Sonifight does not allow you to change/reset  values, all it does is notify you when a number reaches or crosses a certain value.  For example, when your health goes below 20% it will let you know your health is low.  In theory, what you suggest is possible with cheat engine, however, it would be far too difficult to isolate camera values like that.  Cheat engine works best with known values that you can read on the screen like timers, ammo counts, health bars etc.

@Ethin,I'm afraid I'm going to have to agree with SLJ and post 87 on this one.  To say that using OSX has no advantage at all over windows is over stretching it.  Where mainstream and audiogaming are concerned I'll give you that you are more or less practically right and, even the mac party has to agree, that gaming is best suited to windows users as the market stands entirely.  Perhaps on other fronts such as audio editing, producing and sound designing, video and photo editing, accounting, and record keeping and maybe even developing we can also get them to agree that realistically there aren't really greater perks, that the playing field actually favors windows versus mac, and that if it weren't they wouldn't bother booting into windows at all and just leave windows users be.But there really is such a thing as Apple's ecosystem of products, something Microsoft with its billions of dollars cannot touch without Apple's permission, and even when it does only begins to scratch the surface.  I mentioned earlier that iTunes works similarly on windows and Macs; similarly, but not the same.  That is of the greatest importance if you've bought into Apple and its myriad of resources, hardware and software, physical and digital.  On windows, iTunes wraps everything up into what Microsoft believes is a convenient little package.  On Mac OS, nothing is centralized, which means you can get both what you want and what you need based on your own customization, spread out across the system Apple itself has manufactured and curated based on its customers and noone else.  MS is still trying to appeal to the greater general public; Apple is interested in keeping its users and getting its users to promote its platforms.And this is where hard hitting products such as iOS and iPhones come into play, because Apple knows that if you buy one device you're likely to buy more and more of them.  Unlike MS which gives you the flexibility to choose from a massive amount of services with which to sync up all of your devices if you have a ton, Apple tells you to set them up through initial processes then to forget them, after which, everything will just work.  Take a pic with your iPhone and it's available on your MAC, your iPad, your TV, your watch, etc.  Edit a document on your mac, and the same holds true for all the other Apple devices you have.  Receive a call or a text message but you don't have your phone within arm's reach?  No problem, answer it on your mac if you're at your desk or your watch if its on your wrist.And because Apple still has full control over the design of all of these devices, pushing updates to them is much, much easier without the likelyhood that something is going to break along the way, unlike MS where an update might nullify a driver from a third party vender, or cause some other piece of software not to work the same.  If something does go horribly, horribly wrong for whatever reason, there's only one place you have to remember to take it to, the Apple store.  If your windows PC breaks and you don't possess the knowhow on fixing it, you google if you're brave or, call a family member and hope that he or she can help because you don't want to shell out money, or you call a tech support line number and hope that works, and if it doesn't you take it to the store you purchased it from and hope that works, and this isn't taking into consideration that there are things like hoping you haven't violated the terms of any warranty you may or may not have purchased for the device in question, the differing expertise of the people who will be handling your device, etc.  The average windows user can spend hundreds of dollars on his or her PC and end up with a crackerbox full of crumbs and bloatware to boot.  You don't spend upwards of 500 dollars with a mac to not know what you're getting.So yes, there really are advantages, especially for hardwired, every day mac users who have always known the system and loved the system for all of the reasons I've outlined above and more.  To say otherwise is just as bad as a mac user suggesting to you that you're an idiot for spending so much time learning the ins and outs of your windows system which to them is twice as unreliable and requires more of your effort and patience to get right, when there's just works, period, along with the money you'll be spending to upgrade the hardware they don't need to switch out for years to come.

i just suggest using bt sync, the web interface is good enough, but i have not found a way to remove folders. shift f10, clicking on stuff, if you're gonna remove a folder, unless they've recently added a nice remove folder button, it's either impossible or down right hard to remove one

Hi.After I have bought Killer Instinct for my Xbox, the Definitive Edition, I have only had problems with the game.I installed the free version to see what it is like, and chose to buy the game.1. It is only named Killer Instinct and not Definitive Edition in the games list. Is that normal?2. ok guys i have a tip for anybody who wants to know if you're moving or not. firstly make sure youu're in space and not going to hit anything. secondly hit f2. this puts you in an external view of your vessel. it defaults to a behind view so you're looking at the ships engines. you will be able to hear the ships engines. if you increase or decrease speed the engine noise gets louder or quieter respectively. to get back to the main view the hud press f1.

@Hacker:I've repeatedly had squash fs errors on several USB drives and CD-R discs. Are you saying all those brand new discs, and CDs are faulty? I find that highly unlikely, and I've run into the exact same issue on each stick, squashfs errors, and even with copytoram=Y gives the same error. I've had exactly zero isues in a VM, but I wanted to install this on bare metal to get an easy to use Arch-based system.I'd honestly, Hacker, if I were in your shoes, redo the script, and test on a lot of computers and a different range of hardware befor saying 'oh it works it must be your fault'Explain, exactly, how a simple DD, plugging in and then not touching or powering off a drive that installs everything else on it flawlessly, is somehow my fault instead of a bad download? You're not commenting on the feedback you've got about multiple bootloaders, and several boot partitions, and other issues.@Praj: I woudln't be amazed if it doesn't work for you, lots of people have had issues with the ISO, so don't expect it work right away.

The original exorcism I think you mean, not exorcist... and I think the one you're talking about is only the inspiration for one movie, the exorcism of emily rose. The actual exorcism that was the inspiration for the actual Exorcist series wasn't recorded as it was back in the 30s for one, and there are very few documented primary sources round on that story.

Hi,@SLJ The definitive edition is actually an app, used as a glorified game launcher and behind the scenes viewer. You still launch the actual game the regular way. Also, the menus ahve chagned since the guide. First option in the game's main menu since season 3, is now shadow lords. To get to single player, you go down once from the main menu now. From there, I don't actually remember. I know the first option seems to be fight, so you can tap down once, tap a for single player, then tap a twice for single fight, however, I don't know my way around the options. It's been this way for a few months now.

Yup, number stations are really fascinating. It's interesting how they're still around so many years after the cold war ended. There's websites that have schedules of when they send messages and radio receivers you can access over the internet to tune into a broadcast live.

Speaking of creepy recordings.Black boxes. That is all. There's plenty of creepy content on Youtube and other video sites if you know where to look.Also, numbers stations are both fascinating and insanelynot really creepy, but...certainly got my curiosity going. I'll admit, I sort of went on a Youtube walkand ended up watching a bunch of true crime documentaries. Though, if you want something that will give you nightmares for a long while, I forgot his name, but a diver had a helmet camera on that recorded his last, fatal dive. I believe there's a (thankfully short) clip of it on the HorrorStories channelor was, I haven't checked for that video in ages, thankfully.

How to approach my programming problem?

Hi!I want to create a little aplication in CSharp. This function, when encounters certain characters from unicode charset should insert another character from the unicode set in place of it.The think I wanted to do is to create a function which will accept an array as it's parameter. Then it would iterate through the whole text and replace the characters.But how should I handle this replacing?

Maybe creepy was the wrong word. But when you think about the fact that, as was just said that they're still running and were first used as far back as World War I but probably had their height during the cold war, it's definitely pretty spooky to think that noone knows where they're running them, or even who is. They're not creepy in the scary sense of the word, but they're definitely on the dark and slightly erie side, at least for me.

Hi,The problem is that I think Audible have started checking by your user agent if you are on windows 10, so there is a chance that you will not be able to download books with the accessible software. For me, until I changed my UA to reflect windows 7, it told me that I had to get the UWP app to download audible books when I would click the download link on a book in my library.

What about cyclepath?If cyclepath works, which it probably will, then the way to get this done is to get people to use _javascript_ and electron. Or python, but that will still require more work to be done for cross-platform games. If adoption is to be boosted with new devs, an audiogaming guide will greatly help, since the bgt language tutorial is so streight-forward compared to something like learning electron. Bgt also works for just about everyone, since you either use Windows or learn to use wine if you don't use Windows, **provided** the game is not very complicated (3d audio won't be coming to bgt cleanly). Not many people are willing to do the work though, including me.

ok so i'm not entirely sure about this. but some of the tracks as in music tracks seem to be playing in mono for some reason. anybody else getting this? not all but some. i've tested them by playing the files manually and if i was to play the files manually they sound totally fine. it's soundtracks from systems like ringo moon and herons nebula. in the soundtracks folder they aren't labeled as systems just a long file number. but if you were to go to the specific system with the music on you can easily match the file.

I haven't found a windows machine that has a pciE gen3x2 bus for the hard drive. Which again proves my point that it's the software i have a problem with, the internal hardware is fantastic.

ok so i know what needs to be done to solve this i think but i don't know if i can do it. basically the x3 soundtrack files need to be somehow converted to wma files i think. at least this i believe is what i read on the egosoft forums. it will mean that the files will play in good quality sound as they should. it seems to be a realtech audio problem that can be solved in this way. can anybody help with this?

We just need to satisfy our future clients. I wish we would have investors behind, so I could pay a proper salary to the team. What I meant the other day was, that if we get 1 downloads, we would be able to prove that there is a potential market, because that's is why the have asked from us. To believe and invest on us they demand a proof. At the end, all the blind community will benefit from that. If we can not prove them that there is a business potential, then we are still far, or at least we will move slow, until the time when have moved from amateur to a pro team.For this GoldGun, we had a legal binding though with the funding instrument that gave us money to make the first pilot (AVEK). We had to stick to what we have told them that we would do on the funding application, and I take full responsibility of what there was written. And in that first script version there was Soren, who was the blind policeman in charge to play the GoldGun only by listening to the game audio, because the police department was only able to hack the audio and not the visual. Even thought some betatesters said they didn't like the dialogue, there was not much we could do, because we could not brake our contract with AVEK, and then because I needed to move forward and not get stuck on the first episode but to move to the next one and make it better.All this being said, I would say at this point: I will not be able to answer those chats anymore to talk about the same issue of the blindness in the game. We made an error, and we will not do it anymore. Period.Now I need to move forward; Analyze the feedback, present it to the team, study our next script which is kind of ready, design with Maksim the new minigames, supervise the work related to the audio quality of the game, look for money to pay the next salaries, get a proper office for the guys, write a couple of applications, and on top of that, the 8 hours a day that I work at the University. If you're using windows, In resilio sync's installer, Just focus to the installer's window and left click somewhere in its window randomly by getting help of nvda's screen review or object review, And you'll find the interface became accessible with some magic power. BTW I suggest you resilio sync, Because first, it's still being updated and the more important thing about its updates is that they have been accessible so far, specially if you go with the web interface which is the windows service. Sometimes things might pop up a little bit slowly but it's still better than b t sync and it doesn't have a lot of bugs that b t sync does have

@roelvdwal, I would be interested to try a mac. Amusingly enough, I was in my parents' local Apple shop yesterday, looking at Iphone bluetooth keyboards and trying to get a gryphon survivor case for my Iphone 8 (both of which I failed at), and I did actually hit command f5 on the mac which brought up voiceover, - the only problem was the speakers on the demo model in the shop were turned up max so  made everybody jump, and then appologised profusely because I couldn't turn the thing off .I'm afraid for me trying a Mac is in the same category as trying an android device with talkback, its something   I would be vaguely curious about  and would do if I have the opportunity, but not something I really want to invest in seriously without some practical reason to do so beyond curiosity.I will also admit that as far as moving from Xp goes, I was down right wrong about what problemms Windows 10 had, particularly surrounding interface, access to the hd and backwards compatibility.

Greetings!The idea for this thread, was inspired by the Going Linux Podcast , which you "should" give a listen to, and has been going strong since 2006.There is a segment on said show called "Gone Linux," where listeners take the time to write about why they personally took the time to get away from the Windows crowd and "Go Westward!"One particular person, switched to Linux, because of a TED Talk that Bill Gates gave, which didn't settle well with said individual. The topic itself refferenced  in said talk, should have its own thread by itself some day...So, why am I going Linux myself? 1. While running a Windows Insider Build on my Dell Venue 11 Pro (just before Microsoft Edge switched to the "Chromium" engine for their browser,) I ran the latest update and well... Not having made a "recovery drive" at the time... Yep? Totally my fault folks.2. I have ran Linux in the past just to experience it, from Ubuntu 7.04 to Vinux 4.0, to Open Suse 11.3, to Ubuntu 18.04, to Sonar GNU/Linux (when it was around,) to Trisqual 8.0.Some of those above where only in Virtual Machines, while a few were via DVD or CD, and on an old Dell Latitude D630.3. From listening to back in the day "ACB Main Menu" podcasts on Linux from "Matt Camble" and "Marc Mulcahy" from the days of "Sun Micro Systems" and "Level Star" who did a "4 part" series on Gnopernicus , to the amazing "Listen And Learn Recordings" that were done by "Darragh Ó Héiligh."NB. As of this writing, all of the peopl's recordings listed above, are "for now" at least, "lost" to the public. 4. I can't forget the many people who have wanted and have guided me going down this route. The two main ones being Kyle and DanielBonus: I enjoy "Chrome OS" lots!Am I still gonna do "Windows Gaming" even if it is via WINE or future maybe in a VM?You bet! /I don't mind getting myself "messy" folks... That's why I love the GNU/Linux world!So, what makes/would make  you want to try or go Linux full time? What makes ya "NOT" want to go Linux? If a favorite feature /application was more accessible or if you were willing to adapt/fix said feature, would you switch? Also, have you played with Linux in the past, and what were/are your thoughts of Linux present/future? And with that (borrowing a quote from the Blind Bargains Qast, "It's Your Turn To Sound Off!"

One thing I'd like to note is that there's also good reason for making up something creapy for pageviews, so be super super sceptical of random things you find on youtube, for all you know it's just a guy with a microphone and a sound editor wanting for some cache. That said, I do know of a few ww II recordings. These first few are nazi propaganda aimed at the US and England. They are swing music (outlawed by the nazis in Germany at the time). The first verse is unchanged from the original, but they change the lyrics about halfway through the song. What made me go Linux full time?I was tired of Win10. Alright, I use Web Skype, okay. But I also distro hop a lot. My current project, and this is OT, is to get TinyFugue working on Solus Mate (there's a distro to check out, Queens). One other thing that pushed me away from Windows. Cost. For the price of a new computer, with Windows 10I could buy a cheap laptop that runs Linux perfectly fine. Not to get this into a flamewar, but add in Jaws (which my local computer shop tried to sell me with a Windows machinen), and I decided hey, boom, laptop, Linux. Check.And.not looked back. Is it perfect? No. But it is a lot, LOT easier to fix and customize things..that Windows. For example, I can go into the code for my desktop environment and if I so desire, change the panel layouts in Mate, and change, for example, the menu behavior, I can customize nearly everything, and with careful and judicious use of WINE, I can run Windows programs on Linux systems.

@8Yes, cyclepath does work on a Chromebook, same goes for many HTML5 audio titles. Though, make sure the Chrome OS device is a highly specked out one, especially for running "Android" games.Well, I guess it depends on the games in question.For example, playing  any of the Choice Of Games titles from the Chrome Web Store

OK, so maybe I'll explain my idea more clearly.As you may or may not know, cyryllic alphabet is precursored by something called glagollitic.. This writing method has been used to write old slavonic text, however glagollitic can also be resembled using the today cyryllic alphabet. So I wanted to write the text converter, but... there are about 90 characters, so I really need to write 90 if statements or case blocks?

So, here's a story for you lot as of this morning.I'd got my 32GJ cap ship escorting a fleet of Mercurys I own and got set for tradingso, heard one of them blow up. I went to kill their attacker. I missed. Shot a station. Andall hell broke lose. Borons were swarming me. Teladi ships that jumped in got shot because I hid behind a Teladi M3. Now the Teladis are pissed at the Borons. So I call for help from the Argons, and stay near an Argon M4 class ship. THAT gets shot up. Argons bring a whole fleet to retaliate. Meantime, I run away to a far far corner and just sit back, take in the chaos and tell my remaining Mercurys to dock with me.Apparently, I started a giant, giant fight. Oops.

@Hacker:I think a good thing to do at this point would be to offer the base image for straight-up download, unless it's the Arch image obtainable fomr the Pi foundation's website, and have a script that skips the image flash and does the rest that can just simply be run over ssh.

@JaceKI've been lately going back and forth between either using Ubuntu Mate, Ubuntu normal with the Mate desktop on top, or going the "Jenux" way, assuming I can get out of a problem easily if one occured.I have looked at Solus via a VM, and the only concern (which ain't the distro itself,) is its package line up.My favorite Mate desktop themes by the way, are the Redmond as they function and look like a "Windows" machine.If you use a Mac, these Macintosh Themes should be up your alley.

What about the mac? Any good tutorials out there for getting started?@2, No, it's better to use a dedicated program to convert text to wav. If you just record your screen reader, you'll have to cut some silence and "r, record" or something like that from the beginning and something also from the end of each file. Solus though has had snap/flatpack support for ages, so that sort of alleviates package concerns. but yes. Stock Ubuntu Mate is pretty nice. Nice, if I could get a stable, rolling release, with the depth of packages Ubuntu offers.I'd be set.

Hi.I have finally got the game, and got the time to check it out.I managed to get in the house, and I think I also managed to pick up the video tape. However, when I interact with the video player, nothing happens when I choose the item in my inventory.I have found an other place, where it opens up my inventory, but I don't know what it is.I find it very difficult to find the videoplayer, and the character seem to turn just by walking.It's nice that you can hear how many items you have in your inventory. If I don't have the video tape, then I don't know what item I have.
