Bakatsuki, a place for accessible English Light Novels Hi all,You may be delighted to be informed of a site that a friend on Alter Aeon told me about called Bakatsuki. All novels up on the site are in English, and all are translated pretty well from the source material. Unfortunately some projects were discontinued, such as Sword art Online and Accel World so well have to find those somewhere else.However, they do have both the Blazblue Phase Zero and the other series about the Dark War up there. Since Phase Zero just happens to be a part of Blazblue: Chronophantasma, looking at the translation I can tell that the translaters were pretty spot on as some dialogue I remember from the game.The site is at:http://www.baka-tsuki.orgInterestingly enough, SAO was written by the same author as Accel World. Netflix and NVDA with Internet Explorer Hi all,Im trying to watch anime on Netflix and I was able to get sighted help to switch the audio track to English, which are just check boxes. However, how do I open and close the menus in the embedded object? I unfortunately pressed enter and I guess the mouse pointer doesnt move so switched back to Japanese again. Does anyone know if theres a way to open and close these menus? Ill just expand the languages menu and check English again. An easy way to stream microphone and game audio? Hi everyone,Previously on Windows, I used to use Total Recorder with it's mixer and streaming addon to do this with some success. A new version of Total Recorder just came out, which fixes a number of bugs, the major one being that when you were using it with NVDA, the Window would just hang there when closed. No longer.There were some problems with the streaming addon. There was some stuttering on the stream audio. They fixed this, but took away the option to mix both PC Audio and Mic input for streaming, that can only be recorded now.That being said, what is the most easy way to do this? Should I get Edcast and just use Stario Mix?Thanks. I changed the Display Language to Japanese to see if this was the problem. It was, but it made me download the Japanese Language pack. I know Piano, but no longer have the cables etc to hook up a Midi setup, so this is why Band in a Box sounds appealing. Use Band in a Box and have it create something using Magical8BitPlug, then maybe go in with the virtual keyboard if it has one and add a bit so that I actually do some work on it. also maybe generate a few tracks other than just Chiptunes mixed with the chiptunes to provide flavour.That's my idea for BIAB anyway. The Microsoft IME keyboard is only available with the Japanese language. JGT won't translate anything unless I can change to Microsoft IME. At least, I think that's what the issue is. TTS videos Hi everyone,So I really want to start one of these TTS series that, well, it's not really hyped but it certainly has it's community. Thunderbirds101, AT88TV, etc channels on Youtube.I'm not sure who blindgamer95 is on Youtube, but I'm curious to know how they got Windows and Mac voices together. With my series, I want to put a whole bunch of voices together--I have a feeling I've got the Mac voices covered, but hell, not only do I want the Microsoft voices which I can use Speakonia for that, I'd like to add Dectalk in there as well.As for BGM I could use Amadeus for that I suppose. Japanese Language Pack isn't reinstalling; Windows isn't telling why. Hi everyone,So I figured what my mistake was and got app Locale installed. However, I removed the japanese Language Pack when I put the language back to US. Do I need this for App Locale to work properly?I click on the administrator privileges required in the languages options, and it downloads. Eventually though, it says that "Some updates were not installed", and doesn't tell me why. I hope the only reason for this is lack of disk space, even though the it installed successfully the first time and I removed it in frustration.Thanks. Official Leviathan Chronicles Update Hi everyone:As taken from the Leviathan Chronicles Facebook page:Hello Everyone,It’s been way too long, and I wanted to personally apologize for the length of time that’s passed since reaching out. I also wanted to provide an update of the status of The Leviathan Chronicles. I understand the burning questions on everyone’s mind is if Leviathan is dead, or when the remainder of Season 2 will be dropped.Let me start with the punchline: Leviathan is going to continue and more chapters are coming.For reasons I’ll get to shortly, I haven’t been able to work on Leviathan for the past year. But as I’ve mentioned previously, the vast majority of the remaining episodes of Season 2 is completed. There is still some extensive work that needs to be completed on Episodes 39 - 40, as well as the Season Finale episodes. There will also be an expansive Epilogue episode that will accompany The Director’s Cut.During this absence, I’ve heard from hundreds of you, more than I could personally reply to. The vast majority of you (though not all…) have been kindly concerned about me, and wanted to understand the reason for the delay. It’s very sad and hard for me to write this but my wonderful and beautiful wife was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer more than a year ago, and has been fighting bravely to beat this horrible disease and enduring grueling regiments of chemotherapy and radiation. Because of this change in our lives, we’ve moved to San Francisco for me to accept a job in finance, and to provide the best care for her.Obviously, a tremendous amount has been going on which hasn’t allowed for much energy or resources to be devoted to The Leviathan Chronicles. I can’t tell you how much this gnaws at me every single day. I miss the thrill of releasing new episodes, or getting to collaborate with such amazing artists. For me, Leviathan has always been far more than a story but a treasured journey in storytelling and a rewarding, nourishing place to allow my imagination to escape. I love my characters and I cannot wait to share them with you again in the near future. There a pretty wild road ahead.But it’s important for me to communicate clearly that I do not have a set time when I can firmly promise that the remaining episodes and future seasons will be completed. My sincere hope to try to get episodes out by the end of 2016. And while I can’t offer the definitive timeline that I know many of you want (and truthfully deserve), what I can offer are some of the concrete steps we are taking to bring Leviathan back to your ears:- I’ve spoken with Nobi, Robin, and Luke and everyone can’t get wait to get working again. We are all committed, and looking at some different technological solutions to deal with the fact that I’m now on the West Coast. We are also going to be reaching out all of our amazing actors and get everyone back on the same page.- We will be creating a Donate button on the website for those that have so graciously offered to help defray some of the Leviathan costs.- Most importantly, we will finally be setting up a Patreon page to create a sustainable viable economic model for Leviathan (current and future seasons) so that interruptions are kept to a minimum going forward. Frankly, this was always the idea, but the technology literally didn’t exist when Leviathan launched to realize it. The best way for Leviathan to move forward is to have a concrete estimate of what revenue we can expect from each episode – a modified subscription model, if you will. For those not familiar, Patreon has a feature that charges you (within your own predetermined budget) whenever a new body of work (in this case, a new Leviathan episode) is released. This will a massive help in allowing us to budget resources to produce bigger and better episodes on a more timely basis by recruiting more help when we need it.Again, the two things I really hope you’ll take away from this post is that Leviathan is far, far from dead and will be returning shortly. And second, thank you all so much for the incredible impact you’ve all had on my life. All of you. Those with whom I’ve shared my situation with have responded with overwhelming compassion and moving stories of your fights with major health scares. Your continued support of Leviathan has been an inspiration for me, and lifted my spirits during some very heavy times.I can’t wait to continue this journey together. For those that are watching it and are current like myself, What do you think of the things that went down in this most recent episode?For those that don't watch it, I think it is seriously the best drama on TV right now, hands down. Where most dramas these days such as your crime dramas and your medical dramas focus on character-orientated stories and the plot is so-so, Mr. Robot focuses heavily on both to create a mind-blowing mystery about psychology, uses real world technology and hacks, and even fake sponsors to give the show added realism. Not to mention the alternate reality game.Plus, Earplay just made a skill called The Daily 5/9, an Alexa skill that was written for Mr. Robot by it's creator and takes place in the Mr. Robot universe.You should be able to find the first two seasons on the vault with audio description. Unfortunately the audio is in mono because of the stupid SAP channel here in the U.S. If you get through with those and want to watch season 3, if you're in the US and have cable, you can watch it on USA at 10:00 PM eastern. Making BGM for games Hi all,Curious, has anyone tried to use any software to create BGM easily, ex: Music Maker, Band in a Box, etc?I like the idea of BIAB generating music based on chords you type, would make it easy to produce a pretty good soundtrack that isn't 8-bit, if you're not looking to produce such a thing.I also no longer have any instruments to hook up to my computer to make anything with now, and GarageBand's onscreen keyboard is, well, let's just say people probably don't create/record entire songs with it.Thoughts? I know topics like this have come up before, but I'd hope there's a free or way cheaper alternative other than Band in a Box. New audio drama podcasts of note Hello everyone,I just got into two pretty good audio dramas. The first is called The Phenomenon, a horror podcast about the world going to crap. These plots are a dime a dozen, but what makes this one stand out is the characters, audio quality, etc. Check it out.Another one that's going pretty good in the suspense area is a brand new podcast that just premiered called Congeria. The production reminds me a lot of good old dramas like Leviathan Chronicles. Check it out.Oh, and speaking of Leviathan Chronicles, looks like they're gearing up for a relaunch, after quite a few years away... But, with your situation it might be handy.
