[AZORES-Genealogy] Re: Tracado died 2011 no other information

2017-10-11 Thread IslandRoutes
Kingmedicalarts,
Can you supply more information on your Tracado family? I am tracking my
cousin's family who were originally Moniz from Maia, Ribeira Grande. By
the mid 1850s some were using Moniz Thomas, Moniz Tomas, and Moniz
Tracado. One group stayed in Maia, but one line splintered off to Porto
Formoso.and used the surname Moniz Pacheco.

We have found the Moniz Thomas, Tomas, and Tracado's on the East Coast of
the US, Canada, and Brasil.

Will send more info privately.

Yes, Joao may explain it better but what I'm looking at is a web crawler
that checks for file changes on targeted web content. When the crawler
finds changes it captures the incremental changes creating a file that is
download-able but not view-able. It is used by search engines to keep

Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] Name the baby (Vila Franca do Campo, 1697)

2017-10-11 Thread Cheri Mello
JR, I had some time before the meeting at the nursing home, so I was
looking for misspelled names and was kinda cleaning up my database a bit. I
saw "Barnarda" with a baptism date and no marriage. No digital image, so I
went to retrieve it. When I saw it, I questioned if it was a Bernarda or
not. I don't know if it was my work or Shirley's. It was some of our early
work though as it wasn't sourced.

I don't know what you mean by your abbreviations and "contractors."

I descend from Bernarda's brother, Pedro de Couto. I had a little bit of
time and was fixing typos. That's how I ran across Bernarda. Thanks for the
marriage info, I didn't have it. Don't know where she picks up Medeiros
from. I have her parents' marriage but not her grandparents.

2017-10-11 Thread Rosemarie Capodicci
Wow, great Maria! I know that this group is working on getting more records
available to researchers. They worked to get the NY marriage indexes open
too and available. If you know of records that you want them to work on,
just let them know.

I am sorry to hear that it was taken down. I had even emailed them looking
for a record in 1969 which they sent me. I can understand the privacy
issues. On the record I requested, everyone is still living. At the
time, they told me they hadn't reached 1969 yet.. They were at 1964 or
65.

I also have some that I downloaded that were personal, but was going back

All of their records have been taken down. Eliseu knows the most about that web
site. Mel Lassalle downloaded some of the actual passaporte paper work that
included photos. She did this for her immediate ancestors. I don't know how
recent the information was. Something like the mid-1900s (1940s, 1950s
somewhere around there if I remember correctly).
