There are 2 marriages on the link you provided. Why don't you state who you
are looking for and someone can say yes or no (about them being on that
page)? To ask for a translation and then to say, "wrong couple" is just
going to burn out the translators.

Both António and his wife are related to me: Maria is my 1st cousin 6 times 
removed and her husband is also a first cousin 6 times removed. Those lines go 
back much further. Unfortunately, though, the S. António marriages records go 
back no further than 1699, with many gaps (1674-1698; 1719-1728). After that we 
have the Extracts from Ernesto do Canto going back (1607-1673). Miguel Soares 
da Silva has filled in many gaps with his Reconstituição das Famílias de Santo 
António até 1750. He has also published an index of all available marriage 
records before 1910. After that Carlos Machado and Rodrigo Rodrigues can be 
very helpful in bridging back further. Carlos Machado can be accessed on the 
culturacores site. Miguel Soares da Silva's research is available in 2-3 
reference rooms in libraries in southeastern Massachusetts. Also, his compiled 
index of Santo António marriages 1607-1910 might still be available from 
Revista Insulana, published by the
 Instituto Cultural de Ponta Delgada. 


These lines eventually connect Rui Vaz de Medeiros and to the Camelo 
Pereiras/Chichorro lines and thus back to Afonso III.

new at this.  I see that Bartholameo is the son of Marquesa de Melo.  I am 
not sure what it says next.  Is it unknown father?  I also see that Maria's

abbreviation of Fereirra but that needs to be verified because I'm not sure.

Bartholameo de Mello (Bartolomeu de Melo), son of Marqueza de Mello (Marquesa 
de Melo) and unknown father, with Maria de Benevides daughter of Mathias 
(Matias) Fernandes and Maria de Benevides, all native of Sto. Antonio where the
betrothed were baptised and fullfiled their Easter obligations.

This is for  Bartholameo de Melo  Maria de Benevides.  I am still quite new at 
this.  I see that Bartholameo is the son of Marquesa de Melo.  I am not sure 
what it says next.  Is it unknown father?  I also see that Maria's father is 
Mathias, but not sure what his last name is.

[AZORES-Genealogy] marriage translation and question about burial

First the stupid question, were people who died buried on the same
day?  It makes sense that they might be but I only find 1 date on the
record entry so it seems they were.  Is that correct?

Is there a template for the wording for a marriage.  I have one for a
birth entry.  It would make it so much easier for someone who is not
proficient in Portuguese.  Also, I think my great grandparents were
related and they had to get a dispensation to marry--does this sound
right?
