I see. If you have gone through the records, she may have been born in 
another village. However, be on guard for any child given to the said 
parents in the specified 2 year period, in case there was a name change. 
After that I would look in Ponta Delgada. But you may be disappointed. 
There may be more than one Claudina given to parents from Bretanha in the 
same time period. Parents are not always specified. If they specify the 
correct parents, you are lucky.

I am looking for Claudina’s baptismal record now that I know that she died
at the age of 2. I've gone through the Bretanha records twice and was
wondering, now that I know she is a foundling, if she could have been born
in a neighboring village.

I have no idea what you are looking for or the time period. If your 
ancestor was an exposto, then when she had children or got married it 
should say where she was from. Many expostos came from Ponta Delgada and 
Ribeira Grande and were given to people in nearby villages. Others were 
given to people from their native villages.
