Re: [Blind-Computing] Distribution List Question
Send them invitations. I do believe that these sites provide a process for inviting people to join. You might loose a large percentage of your people in the process ... people don't want to change. But if you have loyal devoted followers, they should all come over. Another disadvantage is that these groups are prone to pick up spammers. But you can control that by limiting who can post to the group. Alternatively you could switch ISPs, curtailing distribution lists seems a bit draconian to me. -- Seth Russell Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/people/Seth-Russell/10470462538 Blogging: http://fastblogit.com/seth/ Developing: http://tagtalking.net/ Shopping: http://www.speaktomecatalog.com On Sat, Dec 26, 2009 at 10:42 AM, blindguy blindgu...@gmail.com wrote: So after creating this how do you get the word out for folks to join? -Original Message- From: blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Kliph Sent: Saturday, December 26, 2009 9:53 AM To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] Distribution List Question Go to yahoogroups.com and go to the 3 easy steps to create a group. Re: [Blind-Computing] Distribution List Question
It depends on which service you are using. The program for this list is the hardest to get a handle on but it is the most comprehensive. It is called mailman but it only comes with certain web hosting packages. I can have as many lists as I want to create but 3 is enough for me right now.
