You have been subscribed to a private bug by Mark Russell (marrusl): IBM asked me why "acroread" has been dropped in Quantal. I did some investigation and it turns out that the problem started earlier than that. Acroread:i386 is available for Precise, but acroread:amd64 failed to build from source. This was never fixed. There are numerous web pages out there since that tell people how to get around this on Precise (either install the i386 which will pull in about 140 MB of i386 dependencies) or download Acrobat directly from Adobe. Now on Quantal, there is no source package at all, so obviously nothing built. So far I have not heard anything suggesting these were an intentional changes. In fact, it's possible that we are failing to fulfill an agreement with Adobe by not building it. I think it comes down to the fact that partner hasn't really gotten the same level of attention since Brian Thomason left. I'm not sure how important this is to the customer quite yet, so I'm going with the default P3 for now. You have been subscribed to a public bug: Hallo I upgraded to ubuntu 12.04LTS and Skype 4.0. When I make a video call I can ear and see the other person fine, but when I start my video, the image of the incoming video call starts flashing between blue and normal video( the same for my mirror image in the little square). The other person sees me fine. I didn't have this problem with the previous version of Skype. I tried to desinstall and install Skype form the Ubuntu Softwer Center but no change. The webcam is a Logitech. after the upgrade it didn't work anymore with Cheese, but works fine with another program called guvcview. You have been subscribed to a public bug: Hello, I am having a very strange issue. It seems that the flash player always crashes when I try to watch a fullscreen video on YouTube. It always happens a few seconds after I am in full screen mode. The whole screen freezes and the only thing that I can do to fix this is to switch to another workspace (since I am still in fullscreen mode, I can't access the desktop in the current one) and kill the plugin-container process. When I just watch a video without switching to full screen, everything works just nice and without any issues. Now I am not sure if this is entirely Firefox related, but it's the only browser where this happens. On Chrome/Chromium I don't witness this at least. I hope this is the right location to report it! Information about my system: Ubuntu version: 12.10 - 64 bit (but this also happened during 12.04!) If using Unity-2d - Mouse clicks on the Flash Player User Menu -DO-

On Debian 6 x64 the Mouse clicks do work.
I've been trying to get my webcam working in 12.04 x64 system.
Tried all recommendations including tried tools like "cheese" it recognizes
webcam but no picture

Again, only x64 versions of Ubuntu affected.
I also have screenshots that I can send showing FLASH PLAYER -and-
Webcam work in Debian 6 x64 -but- both fail in Ubuntu 12.04 x64 with
Unity.
I also have a screenshot I can send that shows FLASH PLAYER -is- mouse
clickable in in Ubuntu 12.04 x64 (even though the webcam still doesn't
work.
I wanted to file these 2 bugs because Debian and Ubuntu or so closely related
that perhaps some DEV can figure out why both these 2 issues fail in
Ubuntu 12.04 x64 release yet BOTH work in Debian 6 x64 release?
There are ALOT of people having these 2 problems right now.

You have been subscribed to a public bug: After upgrading Ubuntu from 10.04 to 12.04, I have been using Pandora (pandora.com) for listening to streaming music. Sometimes, the music is skipping, repeating, or lagging. The problem occurs most while either running another program besides the web browser or when the browser is downloading web pages. The problem is NOT worsened by interacting with the launcher or Dash, except that the mouse movements also skip or lag at the same time as the audio. A few times during these periods of incident, as the symptoms were at a max, Pandora stopped trying to play the current song and switched to the next song. Web page scrolling is also affected during the skipping. I have been watching the system monitor graphs and both CPU and memory are well below 100%. I have experienced this both in Firefox and Chrome. I asked for help in the #ubuntu IRC channel and was told to report this here as a possible bug. I have also looked at the question at the link below, but the answer does not seem like a full solution since it requires the user to manually choose a CPU level, requiring knowledge of which setting is right, such that the user could choose a setting that overclocks the processor. http://askubuntu.com/questions/128848/high-cpu-usage-while-playing-flash-on-ubuntu-12-04-amd64 Pandora and audio playback were working perfectly right before the upgrade to Ubuntu 12.04.
