I'm sure you're not surprised to hear that Google CodeSearch has a Google Group: http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Code-Search Sign up and add your voice! Well, more to the point, I see you've started a thread there: http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Code-Search/browse_thread/thread/65dc0 9d9cd1f5e8e/b90ddf080ecba3af?lnk=raot#b90ddf080ecba3af Another created today is: http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Code-Search/search?group=Google-Code-S earchq=coldfusionqt_g=1 Those are the only 2 that come up in a search there for coldfusion or cold fusion. Do you have any sense of whether such discussions have an influence on them? Or is that just where people will argue with us about why CF is undeserving? If you do think that they listen, then do you have any sense whether in that group it's better for people to add comments to your thread, rather than create new ones? We don't want to be seen as impolite guests, when we're asking to be let in. :-) Just wonder if you or anyone knows how things are done best there, whether in the forums or otherwise. /charlie http://www.carehart.org/blog/ -Original Message- From: cfaussie@googlegroups.com [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Brett Payne-Rhodes Sent: Thursday, October 05, 2006 11:47 AM To: cfaussie@googlegroups.com Subject: [cfaussie] Re: Google Codesearch doesn't know about CF! [cfaussie] Re: Google Codesearch doesn't know about CF!
it's not all that sinister. it's just a matter of time there's no Delphi, Pascal (or Object Pascal), no VB.NET or VBScript, VB6, VBA, no ActionScript, MXML (ok, well that's wishful thinking). there's a lot of computer languages out there as this shows http://www.99-bottles-of-beer.net/ one heartening thing is how vocal the call for CF is. I don't think the Delphi or VB.NET programmers are out of be yet cheers (hic!) barry.b On 10/6/06, Charlie Arehart [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Well, more to the point, I see you've started a thread there: http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Code-Search/browse_thread/thread/65dc0 9d9cd1f5e8e/b90ddf080ecba3af?lnk=raot#b90ddf080ecba3af Another created today is: http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Code-Search/search?group=Google-Code-S earchq=coldfusionqt_g=1 Those are the only 2 that come up in a search there for coldfusion or cold fusion. It definitely has CF projects though: I found FarCry with a simple search, and searches for CF tags produces quite a few results.BlairOn 10/5/06, Brett Payne-Rhodes [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: http://google.com/codesearchThis could have been interesting - except it doesn't list Coldfusion as a programming language... :(B) --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups cfaussie group.
