The ShapeWipe window is not as big in either direction as the Mask window, so the total length of the line will be different but now for consistency, they start the wording at the same location. Re: [Cin] Shape Wipe Transitions and GIT checkin
GG/Phyllis, sorry, maybe I have wrong to draw the photomontage. The title bar's lenght of "Wipe" and "Direction" are differents from Mask tool. My fault. Could you make them like Mask tool, for consistency, please? I added a picure to show the difference. Thanks. Re: [Cin] Shape Wipe Transitions and GIT checkin
I was very busy fixing bugs caused by all the new updates. It's really annoying when you do the updates for security reasons and then suddenly important parts of the website don't work. I agree with Igor that the alignment of the controls in the example of Igor is good and I would appreciate it if it would be adopted in this way. At this point I would like to thank you for all the new improvements. Andrea's suggestion for changing the Projector and Camera menus to be mask-like also is a good idea. I am not sure if there are BT issues related to Projector/Camera but it would probably be best to do that at the same time as other work on these 2 as that is easier for GG in case the layout has any new features. Again, at that time if someone provides a layout, then GG will implement it as he does not like to design it himself. gg/Phyllis -- Cin mailing list Cin@lists.cinelerra-gg.org https://lists.cinelerra-gg.org/mailman/listinfo/cin
Re: [Cin] Shape Wipe Transitions and GIT checkin
Andrea: Thanks for the followup email. GG had looked at the dump and log and then fired up an Arch with Nvidia to find a problem, but of course, it worked. That is OK though as it reaffirmed correctness for us and he is thinking about creating an environment variable to print out the ffmpeg filters. At some point in time, this may be handy for you to know. In the routine, pluginfclient.C, there is a print line that is commented out with the 2 slashes - "//printf("%s\n",filter->name);". If you remove the //, and do a build then each of the ffmpeg filters will print out in the terminal window. IgorB: > Question: is Feather like Anti-aliasing when the position's slider is to > the left edge? It seems a bit different. > It is a bit different. Anti-aliasing was originally a classical 3 pixel blend on each side of the center line. Now the feathering involves all pixels over the feather range. > So I have done two quickly photomontage, GG will look at these and I will see whether he will do the Mask like one. [Cin] Shape Wipe Transitions and GIT checkin
(Started new email so title is more relevant). Included in today's GIT checkin is the following. IgorB supplied another 25 Shape Wipe Transitions -- actually 50 with a 1080 and a 540 version. For further information refer to earlier email at: https://www.mail-archive.com/cin@lists.cinelerra-gg.org/msg00619.html GG did a lot of rework on the Shape Wipe Transitions code. He added the 25 1080 versions; fixed a couple of bugs; added a Feather slider (based on exponential values); and built in parallel processing instead of single threading. So in response to: > Yes it is resampled, but by my tests on my poor PC, 540 works faster than > 1080 for a 29.97 fps project, the MIN fps achieved with "Tr-1080_Butterfly" > is 22fps, while with "Tr-540_Butterfly" is 28fps. So, in some projects I > can use the 540 instead of 1080 to save cpu. > the fps with the 1080 should now be almost the same as the 540 now with the rework that gg did. I tested it and it seemed to use the same amount of cpu at 1080 as at 540 (monitor with the "top" command and checked Preferences frames per second). He says that once past the initial check at the very beginning, it should run at the same speed..
