Thanks for the replies, I assumed this was the case, I actually did a PUT
request to try and get the SU2 file but received SU1 instead which is no
help as I am upgrading tomorrow evening?

Looks like i'm good now.

[cisco-voip] 12.5 Upgrade files posted on CCO

2020-02-06 Thread Nick via cisco-voip
The upgrade files for CUCM 12.5 both SU1 and SU2 both state the following

For upgrades from 12.x only. Upgrades from 11.x or earlier are requested
via PUT

Is this just incorrect wording as far as i am aware there has never been
any different files for upgrades from 11 or 12, I have ordered 12.5.1 SU1
from PUT and the upgrade file is identical to the one you can download from
CCO supposedly for 12 only?

Anyone able to confirm these are the same files?

[cisco-voip] Expressway HA Failover when ISP fails

2019-09-24 Thread Nick via cisco-voip
Hi All

We have a situation with a client where they have an Expressway cluster 2 x
ExpC and 2 x ExpE split across two datacentre, each datacentre has
different ISP's. If they have a internet outage at one of the datacentres,
50% of the outbound video traffic is lost.
The CUCM has one SIP trunk with the 2 ExpC IP's so is the Expressway not
able to determine an ISP outage and if not how are 50% of the calls getting
through, does the Expressway load balance between each node in the cluster
and if so is there any way to change this to cater for an ISP outage?

[cisco-voip] Unity Connection 12.5 Licenses not loaning down.

2019-05-14 Thread Nick via cisco-voip
I have upgraded a client to 12.5.1.1-23 who has also migrated to flex
knowledge worker, the licenses for Unity Connection have been supplied as
enhanced messaging and not basic messaging and my licenses are not loaning
down and out of compliance, according to the docs they should loan as
below, anyone come across this issue yet?

Cisco Smart Software Licensing supports license hierarchy, in which higher
level licenses are utilized to fulfill the request for lower level licenses
to avoid a shortage of the licenses. Following are the licenses included in
license hierarchy in an order from higher level to lower level:

Unity Connection Enhanced Messaging User Licenses (12.x)
Unity Connection Basic Messaging User Licenses (12.x)

[cisco-voip] CUAC Standard directory sync

2018-06-22 Thread Nick via cisco-voip
I have an issue with a new install of CUAC Standard 11.0.3.2604 with the
directory sync, if logged on with a standard user, the directory will not
sync at all. It will only sync if the application is run as administrator.

This is not an option for the operators at this customer so was wondering
if anyone a solution for this, I have seen a few threads where people have
had the same issue dating back various versions but don't see any solutions.

[cisco-voip] Cisco Jabber 12 sign in issue

2018-05-31 Thread Nick via cisco-voip
I have an issue with Jabber sign in from one domain, the customer is in the
middle of migrating to a new domain, UC servers are in the new domain,
cisco-uds SRV record in new domain, test PC in new domain are all working
fine as expected.

The issue is when we try to sign into Jabber from the current (old) domain,
cisco-uds SRV is setup in old domain and tests resolve correctly.

When we try to sign into Jabber I get the 'Cannot open page, try again
later'

If I try and change to manual sign in, it never prompts with username and
password only the service discovery prompt.

Anyone seen this message before?

[cisco-voip] CA Certs applied to CUCM & IMP

2018-03-08 Thread Nick via cisco-voip
Just completed a new build of CUCM and IM to 11.5.1 SU4, I then generated
Multi SAN Tomcat certs and applied these to the servers which are working
fine when I browse to any of the nodes.

Since applying the certs the the nodes under the DefaultSubCluster on the
presence Topology page are showing with red crosses and the services for
each node are showing as Unknown.

The Presence Redundancy group in CUCM is showing as both nodes in normal
state and IM is working correctly.

The system troubleshooter is reporting

Could not determine the status of the Cisco IM and Presence Data monitor
Service on the following nodes and XCP Troubleshooter shows

The Cisco XCP Connection Manager and Cisco XCP Authentication Service is
currently down but both of the services are started up.

All is working as expected so is cosmetic but needs resolving.

Anyone had similar issues after applying CA signed certs?

[cisco-voip] Jabber for iPhone Apple Push Notifications

2018-02-21 Thread Nick via cisco-voip
Hi All

I have configured CUCM for Push notifications and the Cisco Cloud
onboarding is complete, however I don't believe its working for Instant
messages, voice calls are working fine and when Jabber is in suspended
mode, either in the background or locked, I still receive ringing and
notification on screen. In the same states when IM's are sent then I don't
receive any notification until I open Jabber into the foreground and then
my messages are waiting.

Jabber for iPhone is connecting over Expressway and we have CUCM 11.5.1
SU3, IM 11.5.1 SU3 and Expressway 8.10.4.

I have all notifications enabled on the Jabber client.

Anyone experienced anything similar or can advise on troubleshooting this
issue?

Re: [cisco-voip] Inbound CLI displaying on CUAC console.

2017-08-24 Thread Nick via cisco-voip
Hi Ryan

No caller ID works fine when forwarded from an ip phone.

No, PSTN Ingress has stayed the same SIP trunk to a CUBE.

The call redirects from UCCX to the CUAC but the number that displays is
the CUAC CTI port not the UCCX CTI port.

Its not an option to change the setup at present as this worked fine before
the migration on the old cluster.

[cisco-voip] Inbound CLI displaying on CUAC console.

2017-08-24 Thread Nick via cisco-voip
I wonder if anyone can shed any light on this issue.

The background is we have completed a migration to new hardware for a
customer upgrading CUCM from 11.0 to 11.5.1 SU3 and UCCX from 11.0 to
11.5.1 SU1, CUAC stayed on the same version 11.0.1.10, the migration was
not completed via backup and config for CUCM was Import / Export and for
UCCX and CUAC copied across.

The issue we have is inbound calls to the switchboards are routed to UCCX
first, UCCX will play a Welcome message and route the call back to the CTI
RP of the CUAC queue, calls route fine, however the CUAC operators no
longer see the caller ID on the display, they see the directory number of
one of the CTI ports of the CUAC server.

This is happening for all switchboards which we have approx 19.

Calls directly routed to the CTI RP of the CUAC bypassing UCCX display the
CLI correctly both for internal and external calls.

Calls dialled internally to the CTI RP of the UCCX and redirected to the
CUAC display the internal extension number correctly, so the issue appears
to be only when external calls route through the UCCX.

The config on both UCCX and CUAC is identical to the old servers, CUCM
service parameters were imported from the old server so apart from the
version changes of CUCM and UCCX, everything should be identical.

Anyone got any ideas?

subclusters across the Publisher node and first node in second subcluster.

Re: [cisco-voip] Flexible JID / MRA

2017-02-27 Thread Nick via cisco-voip
Hi Ryan

Did you get this working, I have exactly the same issue, flexible JID works
fine internally, when the service discovery is done, it presents the actual
user id and password prompt, however when using MRA, it does its service
discovery but prompts the email address and password field which it doesnt
allow you to log in with, if you then change it to user id you can log in?

Anyone else come across this?

[cisco-voip] SIP Profile to add Calling Name

2016-11-26 Thread Nick via cisco-voip
Hi All

I have a situation where we have migrated from one SIP trunk to another,
when the inbound call comes in, the IP phone handset shows Unknown Caller
ID and then display the calling number below, this client has 6921 handsets
throughout which will only display one line so they only see the Unknown
Caller ID on the handset.

The Invite on the old SIP trunk show the From field with the calling number
in brackets in front of the SIP portion as below and this works fine.

*From:
"07918900845";tag=SDtmhce01-87069*

The invite on the new SIP trunk does not display the number in front of the
>From field as below

*From: ;tag=3689138628-619971*

What I would like to do is modify the From field in the invite so that it
displays the calling number in front of the as per the above example.

It appears to be an issue with Calling Name as if I receive the call on a
translation pattern on CUCM and set Calling Name Presentation to
Restricted, I don't see the Unknown Caller ID anymore, the issue with this
is that Missed calls / Received Calls lists on the phone shows Private
Number.

Can this be done with a inbound SIP Profile or SIP normalisation script?

Regards

Nick

[cisco-voip] Issue with Connected number display after transfer

2016-06-01 Thread Nick via cisco-voip
Hi All

I have just deployed Gamma SIP trunk for a customer and have an issue where
when you transfer an inbound SIP call to another internal extension, when
the transfer is complete the display states From: Joe Bloggs (where Joe
Bloggs is the person who has been transferred to), it displays the number
who is transferring during a consultative but as soon as it completes it
show the From whoever it is being transferred to.

Anyone come across this before?

[cisco-voip] CUAC-Advanced 11 Failover Issues

2016-02-22 Thread Nick via cisco-voip
Hi All

I have a pair of CUAC-Advanced version 11.0.1.10-2 confiugured for failover
with CUCM 11.0.121900-11, the issue I have is when the Publisher is down
and the consoles have failed over to the Subscriber, calls do not hit the
console initially and have a delay up to 30 seconds in some cases, the
caller gets rining tone and you can see on the handset the call forwarding
between the CTI ports so it is going to the correct CTI RP for the
subscriber, when the call finally arrives I am able to answer it and blind
transfer successfully but a consult transfer always fails when you try and
complete the call.

Obviously the main problem is the delay and I have a TAC case open but not
getting anywhere fast.

Anyone had any similar issues before?

[cisco-voip] SIP SRST Pickup softkey

2015-07-17 Thread Nick via cisco-voip
HI All

Anyone configured Pickup in SIP SRST, I have enabled it under
call-manager-fallback but the softkey does not display. This is on 7821
handsets.

I don’t seem to be able to find much on this apart from the following
statements in the SRST Manager overview pdf, I am NOT using E-SRST or SRST
manager but I get the feeling the same would apply to normal SIP SRST.

Anyone come across this?

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/srst_mgr/rel9_0/admin_gd/Admin_Book/overview.pdf

Softkeys on SIP phone do not survive after failover. Some of the softkey
features are disabled in the

phone firmware. As a result any features that requires softkeys will not
function, such as call-park,

call-pickup, and so on.

*Call Park/Pickup*

*• *Call park/pickup configurations are provisioned by Cisco Unified SRST
Manager. However, due to

SIP phone softkey firmware limitations during failover, call park/pickup on
SIP phones do not work

during failover mode.

[cisco-voip] Phones rebooted whilst in SRST

2015-07-15 Thread Nick via cisco-voip
Hi All

We have an issue where phones (7821) that have registered in SRST and then
been rebooted will not re register in SRST untill roughly 20 mins has past.
After the phone has rebooted is does then not contain any servers in its
Active / Standby server list so the phone will never know where to
register.

If you look at a phone that has registered in SRST but not been rebooted
then you see the Active Server as the SRST router and Standby servers as
the CUCM’s.

So if the phone loses its server list during a reboot and doesn’t know
where to register is this normal operation?

What I don’t understand though is why the phone does register with the SRST
router after 20 mins. When this happens and you check the phone server list
it just shows the Active server as the SRST router but nothing for Standby
servers, so how does the phone register with the SRST?

Any thoughts on what we have observed here?

Anyone tried rebooting a SRST registered phone before and seen it register
back with the SRST GW?

Regards
