Hmmm...upon further testing I did notice a couple of other things that may be specific to my headset. Occasionally the key presses from my headset stop being picked up by intoneit looks like they are being sent to the phone because the screen will turn on, but intone doesn't respond. Once I close the Songs window after selecting Projector, Intone crashes with: *** glibc detected *** intone: free(): invalid next size (fast): 0x006c6f10 *** Program received signal SIGABRT, Aborted. 0x40a22e94 in raise () from /lib/libc.so.6 Does that help you? To use it with the albumart feature - put each mp3 file in a directory with its corresponding image as cover.jpg in that same directory for now. And add all the automatically created playlists to 1 playlist. Might be simpler if you're ok at handling some sql. Just do this in the database. I will try it out. Let me see if I can come up with a simpler solution. Can you send me the output of ls -R on the directory where the files in your example are located? Re: Intone 0.60 Almost Stable ;-)
The second pause is getting through fairly often now, but I think it's catching some of them. I can't tell when it sends one and when it doesn't. I haven't seen any output stating anything about a time difference. Bug: Music randomly stops playing every now and then, and I find an error message up on Intone saying it couldn't stream to bluetooth. It then resets config back to speaker and I have to set it to bluetooth again. My guess is this is caused by a blip in the signal, which is a part of bluetooth life, and usually mplayer handles it by resetting the pipe. I think Intone can safely ignore this. I could be entirely wrong though. :) ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

Okay, I paired my A2DP headset (Lubix UBHS-NC1 ...from woot a couple of weeks ago) And I can get mplayer from the command line to play music to the headset (Though I have to play once, ctrl-c, then play again to get it to work...it seems like the headset needs something to wake it up before it will accept the stream...and then after a bit of nothing streaming, it times back out and I have to do a fake run of mplayer again) It sounds great though when its working! However, I cant figure out how to get it to play to the headset from intone. Is there something you have to pass it to go into bluetooth mode? I know my commands are getting recognized from the headset to the moko when I press them because the screen turns onwould love to help by submitting more codes! -Dan Staley On Mon, 2009-07-20 at 19:55 -0400, The Digital Pioneer wrote: An offtopic question: Do you have a recommendation for a good bluetooth headset? In paroli I can hit buttons without looking at the screen. I have made a calculator app in paroli(didnt release it yet), and thought a lot about button sizes. Here is a mockup (the final app looks pixel perfectly the same except the colors): http://khiraly.googlepages.com/calculator.png It is five buttons in a row. And it is comfortable to use the number buttons (I use it 3 weeks already). However the function buttons (sin, cos, log) are just the minimum size. So my suggestion is: five buttons are fine IF they have equal width AND are tall enough. I find them a bit small in height. I didnt measured it in Gimp and compared with the above calculator picture. Re: Intone 0.60 Almost Stable ;-)
Quick bluetooth note: you need to turn the bluetooth chip on before you can use it (as you know). Please request it from FSO before trying to use it, as that makes life easier for the users (we don't have to do it manually) and it saves battery life (only have it on when you're using it). I'll be more than happy to beta test AVRCP functionality (which is bluetooth control buttons). Just give me a binary, as I can't compile for FR, and I'll tell you what I get. :) Finally, AWESEOME UI updates. Everything works perfectly, and I really like the new way to control repeat/random. It's excellent to have a nice control for mplayer in the GUI too (saves me a lot of time starting the music). Just one quick request: remember what I set mplayer's nice to between sessions. Lots of great updates. :D Thanks! ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

That should be working. Can you confirm? Oh, it probably is. I had to kill -9 intone to make it exit when I tried it, I didn't think about that... :P Why did I have to kill -9 it? Because it tried to use bluetooth without having the chip on. And yes, if you're using bluetooth, you should request the resource from FSO. Otherwise, it's luck of the draw whether it'll actually be usable or not, and if it's not, bad stuff happens. Just tell FSO when you need it and then when you're done (which would probably be on exit) and it'll take care of everything. :) ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
