The beauty of xcopy is that it also copies access control lists of the files
and folders. I use it when moving large numbers of files/folders between
servers and I don't have to reapply permissions when I'm done.

I just wish it copied the share information too.

 -Original Message-
I do not use it all anymore. I would never recommend it at all.

As I said earlier I used it way back when, but
the OS has outgrown it's usefulness.

Use explorer or one of the after market shells to do this.

Or use a migration program to make backups etc.

Features:

Why? Most people seem to ignore it. I think so much text tends to get
ignored. Perhaps less text may be read more often.

I also thought we needed a second mode of communication that was
independent of AOL's server, just in case.

I think you have too much time on your hands.

Hardly, but I did want to see how quickly Google pages could set up a
page. The answer is: very quickly.

Since after all these years Ray had to bail on us I did have to do some
list administration anyway. So this was a chance catch up on a little
housekeeping.

Please at least put enough of the link that it shows in the

I can't put a hyperlink in a text-only message.

I don't think anybody should have to look at L-Soft's terrible
documentation.

I also applaud the shorter footer. The old one was
particularly bad for those of us who get the digest
version of the list. I've always been a little annoyed at
having to scroll past the nearly 2 inches of footer in each
message, not to mention all the extra ones in quotes
and quotes of quotes, etc.*

While I'm grousing about it, is it possible to configure the
digest so that the footer only appears at the end of the
digest and not at the end of each message?

I agree with those who say that the footer should have
a complete url that most mail applications will turn into a
active link.

 'At's-a too bad, eh?

It's one thing for you voluntarily to construct your life around a
set of (quite literally) Dark Ages practices and religious and cultural
philosophies [which, in this case, call for theocratic totalitarianism; can
you say, caliphate?], but it is quite another to insist that the rest of
the world indulge you (by abandoning its own rights) while you do it.

If I were the one responding, I would be sorely tempted to up the
ante by saying that removing the images was against my religion, and that
[Allah Himself said that] only instruments of Satan would have made the
request, in the first place. Let it be the problem of the would-be censors,
and let THEM assume the risk that, and carry the freight if, that kind of
response generates more heat than light. Tough First Amendment noogies!

And for the purposes of showing just how unprincipled they actually
are, I'd also be tempted to order the would-be censors to demand that
Ahmadinejad retract his cruel and tasteless comments about The Holocaust
and the destruction of Israel.
