I was idly looking at some issues I had with IP addresses being wrongly block
and tried to run a manual update.
cat update_base
cd /usr/share/xt_geoip
if ( ./xt_geoip_dl )
then
/usr/libexec/xtables-addons/xt_geoip_build GeoIPCountryWhois.csv
fi
So it wants a file called GeoIPCountryWhois.csv but I can't see that anywhere.
We retrieve a zip here in xt_geoip_dl:
wget -O GeoLite2-Country-CSV.zip -q
"https://download.maxmind.com/app/geoip_download?edition_id=GeoLite2-Country-CSV_key=${LicenseKey}=zip
But it looks like MaxMind updated something because when we extract this file
we get this directory
GeoLite2-Country-CSV_20240329
That contains the CSV files.
We then need to run /usr/libexec/xtables-addons/xt_geoip_build with a -D for
the directory to expand too eg something like this:
/usr/libexec/xtables-addons/xt_geoip_build -D /usr/share/xt_geoip *.csv
That then appears to work as expected.

After upgrading qpsmtpd yesterday (qpsmtpd-0.96-22.el7.sme.noarch), Roundcube
would no longer send emails, but instead complained about SMTP error.

Some improvements - It was quite confusing which settings are honored. For example: with configure=domains, all domains are expanded for dehydrated, even if some entries in the domains-db contain a letsencryptSSLcert=disabled setting. I propose an update to the relevant docs in the wiki (https://wiki.koozali.org/Letsencrypt#Configuration), about what does what configure=none|host|domains|all . Test file to check outputs
I was looking at code here to utilise elsewhere and noticed during some test
that the output values were not always correct.
It seems that the printf does not evaluate correctly and it requires sprintf
here:
/etc/e-smith/templates/etc/php-fpm.d/www.conf/15phpmyadmin
These two lines do not produce correct results if they hit the printf section:
$min_spare_servers = ( $min_spare_servers > $max_spare_servers ) ?
printf("%.0f",$max_spare_servers/2) : $min_spare_servers;
$start_servers = ( $start_servers > $max_spare_servers ) ? printf("%.0f",
$max_spare_servers /2 + $min_spare_servers/2 ) : $start_servers;
The printf needs changing to sprintf like this
$min_spare_servers = ( $min_spare_servers > $max_spare_servers ) ?
sprintf("%.0f",$max_spare_servers/2) : $min_spare_servers;
$start_servers = ( $start_servers > $max_spare_servers ) ? sprintf("%.0f",
$max_spare_servers /2 + $min_spare_servers/2 ) : $start_servers;
