 ClientCommand( client, play *custom/mysound.mp3 )

How hard is it to allow these plugins to call sounds from a custom

I strongly recommend backing up your server.cfg, gamemodes.txt, and

rather than persisting with the old files.

Please report any issues here and we’ll try to address them as they come up.

The current gamemodes.txt is like kick in the face comparing to the old
way. Server.cfg and map based configs in maps/cfg/mapname.cfg are much much
 better solution and backwards compatible.

That's not really a solution though, as different servers run different

Every valve game since half-life 1 has had servercfgfile, it would be

[Csgo_servers] More than 10 players in the game ...

2012-05-14 Thread DontWannaName!
They already did. I am just repeating the facts.

http://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/facts/

Q)Are there any plans to open up games to more than 5v5?
A) Yes but the beta will continue to be 5v5 for a period.

They released the SDK, people are working on maps and whether the game
is going to support more than 5v5 at or prior to release is a relevant
question and your response didn?t answer it and the answer is you do not
 know.

Thus, the question to Valve. A simple yes or no from them will do.

uhhh obviously The game is in beta and is currently hard coded to
allow only 10 players per server. Dont get ahead of yourself, they just
 released the servers to us.

Wait patiently for them to unlock the player #. They are gathering data
still. In due time they will they allow the full amount which appears to be
 34...

slots per team for scoreboard (maxplayers at 40).

This is why I'm asking about support.

Our maps currently only have 10 spawns but changing the value of
 maxplayers
in gamemodes is correct - ok, but supporting more than 5v5 requires
 things
like a scoreboard that will show more than 5 players on a team, a team
 join
menu that will allow more than 5 players on a team and so forth so
supporting more than 5v5 goes beyond spawn points. It's a simple question
really - will GO at release have working support such that server ops can
provide servers that actually can have more than 10 players.

I'm pretty sure most server ops and orgs want to know if this is going to
 be
 the case.

So, it would appear that 10 players - 5v5 scrimming - is all that works
no matter what I've tried for changing max players in gamemodes.txt and

Thus the question to Valve is - you are going to have more than 5v5
configurable and playable for GO, aren't you?

 Hi all,

The new Steam console client will be replacing the existing

Regarding the login - we may add an anonymous login mode in the future,
but that's not certain yet. Right now, it is of course necessary because
the CS:GO server is an access-controlled product.
