Re: [Csgo_servers] CS2 dedicated servernotes?

2023-09-07 Thread Naleksuh
As far as I know that's only the case in China. Do you have a source that CSGO
is becoming unplayable globally?

 On Wed, 06 Sep 2023 11:52:55 -0700 Bakugo wrote ---

This is literally just another Overwatch 2 situation. CS2 is a mandatory update
to CSGO, it is not a new game that exists separately. Maybe they'll be kind
enough to keep an old branch around so you can still play it on community
servers, but matchmaking will definitely not be available and inventories
probably won't either.

I do think a lack of communication is what is causing it. Its
very unlikely valve will actually remove the game altogether, but
we still do not know what their plan for the future  of csgo is
(migration to a new appid? make it a branch like demo viewer csgo?
will matchmaking be shot down (very unlikely, artifact still has
MM servers!)?) still, it shouldn't be the biggest worry, since the
original deadline of "summer" is already long passed, and so at
this point i hope that it takes even more time for the
game to finish. its a lot of work for a company built like valve,
and rushing it is never a good option.

As for cs2 community servers, i don't know exactly having them up
will benefit, considering there's no browser server, and things
like lua-vscript and workshop submitted cs2 maps arent finalized.

Patience pays off. Pray for the best.

I don't use Discord, and neither do most people who still use mailing lists.
You're barking up the wrong tree. You also have the option of uploading the
file to a website, or sending email from a non-Gmail provider (there are *a
lot* of reasons not to use Gmail, one of the reasons why I am slowly replacing
all of my Gmail accounts with my new Zoho address)

Hey guys, a user from the AlliedModders discord patched a DLL that fixed this.

That is odd. There's dozens of reasons of why that would happen,
and most of it feels like its on behalf of Windows. My best say
would be that light versions of Windows 10 might be better to host
it, such as Windows 10 LTSC IoT. Im betting on it being a
dependency change, but we don't know until the engineers figure it
  out. Cheers
