Re: [datameet] Organizing workshop on COVID-19 data

2020-04-06 Thread Sanjay Barnwal
Hi,

Thanks for sharing details of this https://www.tracetogether.gov.sg/.
Actually when I read it in detail, I feel what they are doing same thing
Indian Govt has started last week through Aarogya Setu App. Similar to
Trace Together, Aarogya Setu also recommends users to keep Bluetooth
activated so that whosoever user meets can be traced back if he or she gets
Corona positive.

Please suggest if you think differently.

Regards,
Sanjay

Re: [datameet] Organizing workshop on COVID-19 data

2020-04-04 Thread Meera Mehta

Dear All

There seems to be an emerging consensus that it will be critical to ensure
transfer of funds to to the poor and marginalized workers and families that are
affected by the lock down.

We wanted to check if there has been any discussion on using the DBT route for
such COVID related support to the poor and marginalized workers and families in
both urban and rural areas

While there are a large number of schemes using DBT - it is not very clear as
to which ones would be the best route to reach the neediest.

Also, whether there are any data systems based ways to avoid duplication to he
extent possible..

Do pl share any discussions/ efforts already underway - or even ideas in this
regard

Thanks and best
