Bug#407071: gaim-encryption: encrypted conversation initiated by an AIM user with ICQ user hangs with Request key...
Package: gaim-encryption Version: 3.0~beta6-1 Severity: important Since a few days, I'm no longer able to send encrypted messages from my AIM account to ICQ buddies. When trying to send such messages, the conversation window says Requesting key..., but nothing happens. I've traced down this behaviour with gaim's debug console, wireshark and ddd (after compiling with debug symbols). It's all very clear: As an ICQ user, you'll see the gaim_debug message No header: as found in encrypt.c, line 635. This obviously happens when there is no gaim encryption header found in the incoming message. With wireshark, I saw the AIM client sending the correct message: Message: *** Encrypted with the Gaim-Encryption plugin A HREF=: Send Key/A but the client is only receiving this message without the URL: Message: *** Encrypted with the Gaim-Encryption plugin In other words, the Oscar server is modifying the message. Finally, the code in GE_got_msg_cb (I've breaked in encrypt.c:522) has no chance to detect the key request anymore. See the attached wireshark/tcpdump save file (wireshark -r) for full details. I don't know how to fix it: blame AOL, use different markup tags (which hopefully won't be filtered), praise jabber... ;) Note that this bug only occurs between AIM(request key)--from--ICQ, there's absolutely no problem with AIM-AIM and ICQ-ICQ. PS: I'll also inform upstream about this issues. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (50, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=de_DE (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages gaim-encryption depends on: ii gaim 1:2.0.0+beta4-4 multi-protocol instant messaging c ii libc62.3.6.ds1-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libnspr4-0d 1.8.0.7-1 NetScape Portable Runtime Library ii libnss3-0d 1.8.0.7-1 Network Security Service libraries gaim-encryption recommends no packages. -- no debconf information aim-icq-gaim-encryption Description: Binary data
Bug#404965: at: This bit of code is where the bug is
Package: at Version: 3.1.10 Followup-For: Bug #404965 In parsetime.y: if (time_only) { if ((exectm.tm_hour currtm.tm_hour) || ((exectm.tm_hour == currtm.tm_hour exectm.tm_min = currtm.tm_min))) exectm.tm_mday++; } else if (!yearspec) { if ((exectm.tm_mon currtm.tm_mon) || ((exectm.tm_mon == currtm.tm_mon exectm.tm_mday currtm.tm_mday))) exectm.tm_year++; } This bit of code gives the year an increment. However if add_date() is used, the year has already been incremented. This means that any timespec that uses add_date() will fail if the execution date is in a different year to the current date. ie: tomorrow weekday next weekday next hour/day/week/month/year + X minute/hour/day/week/month/year A workaround would be to set yearspec to true when add_date() is called. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#407036: xserver-xorg: Server crashes each time after hibernate with suspend2
Lukas wrote: each time my laptop wakes up after hibernation with suspend2, the X-server crashes as soon as I press any key. I've had good success with s2disk (package uswsusp) rather than suspend2. I understand they are different implementations of the idea, with suspend2 requiring a rather intrusive kernel patch whereas the kernel infrastructure for s2disk is already inside the kernel (from 2.6.17 or thereabouts). You might find it interesting to try s2disk to see if it gives you better success. Drew -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Bug#351394: All debconf stuff can probably be cleaned from the qmail package
Quoting Thomas Huriaux [EMAIL PROTECTED]: I don't see any reason to close this bug. If you don't want to fix this issue, please tag it as wontfix. In order to have this bug fixed, I wrote a full patch. Here are my comments on the debconf templates, as the rest just depends on these fixes: The reason to close this bug is that is has been fixed. The problem was that I included information using debconf that didn't need to be there. All of the qmail-src debconf entries did not fit the policy, and have been removed. I am the package maintainer, and I am allowed to make decisions on what information is included and displayed when the package is installed. I have decided that my previous use of debconf has been deprecated, and therefore, I have no further use for debconf. In fact, I have removed all dependency on debconf from qmail-src. I won't close this bug, but I'll move it to the wishlist. The package does not violate the spirit of what debconf was intended for, or any Debian policies, or even interact in any way with debconf. Technically, what you are now asking, is that I add in new debconf support. Thank you for the suggestion, I will add it to the wishlist. If that is not enough to placate you, please feel free to waste more of everyone's time and whine on. Jon -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#407101: esmtp-run: sets MAIL FROM to under default identity
Package: esmtp-run Version: 0.5.1-4 Severity: important Justification: non-serious data loss; trivial workaround available When there is only a default identity in the configuration file (IOW, no identity directive), esmtp-run uses as the MAIL FROM. This happens to cause a significant number of mail servers, including murphy and spohr, to silently drop mail (since it looks like a bounce). However, when identities are provided in the configuration file, this bug does not occur; the first identity is used if no -f option is specified. I did not test with a -f option. While I don't expect that esmtp-run intuits the MAIL FROM value (although I would not be upset if it did), at the very least the documentation needs to be much clearer on this behavior. Logging to syslog about the problem would be acceptable as well, as would using the username and hostname (after stripping the port) options in the config file. This particular bug has hampered my mail-sending ability since approximately June 2006, since I did not notice that esmtp-run sent with . Thankfully, Loïc Minier pointed this out to me, and I worked around it by setting several identities. If this message gets to the BTS, it worked. Bug#402014: fontconfig.defoma patch
Keith, here's the patch written during your talk at LCA ;) It fixes bug 402014, by simply adding '-f' to the fc-cache run, hence me filing it under this bug number. Really though, this patch avoids creating symlinks for fonts that are already in a directory covered by fontconfig - but I couldn't find an actual bug for that. - Gus fontconfig-defoma.patch Description: Binary data

In case you can't do it now, I propose an upload in the next days, which I will do anyway if I don't receive an answer pretty soon (I'm currently running a bmlitz NMU campaign for pending l10n bugs). -- signature.asc Description: Digital signature

Seamonkey doesn't include the calendar, so the translations you're using are the ones provided by the package. It seems the spanish ones have the same problem as the italians ones.
