Bug#795056: SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH

Camm Maguire:
> Greetings! Following the link you reference, it appears that I do not

The documentation was a bit confusing. Thanks: I've just fixed it.
SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH will only be exported for packages using `dh`.
maxima is currently using the “old style” debhelper.

So you either need to switch the package to `dh`—which I recommend—or
export SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH manually.

PS: Please note that you only addressed your reply to the Debian bug
address. Even if it's confusing, bug submitters do *not* receive copies
of these emails. It's customary practice to list them in the To field,
especially when asking for more information.

Ah, that is true. But there is no point having -dh_auto_test in
debian/rules, then, as people are unlikely to look at the detailed
test output if it doesn't cause build failures.

OK, will do.

Sounds a good idea. Though I'll only add a watch file if there are
releases or tags.

Bug#798778: #798778 systemd 226's init.scope breaks docker.io 1.7.1~dfsg1-1.

2015-09-13 Thread Dmitry Smirnov
Docker have its own bug report about this problem:

https://github.com/docker/docker/issues/16256

Suggested workaround is to add

--exec-opt native.cgroupdriver=cgroupfs

to DOCKER_OPTS in "/etc/default/docker".

Hello,
plymouth-quit.service is "static", whichcouldn't be enabled.
It won't "done" without any other service run something equal to
"plymouth --quit" (I guess).
The new revision of sddm just result into sddm waiting for
plymouth-quit forever.

I agree, someone needs to hunt down the relevant commit though.

For the time being, as a workaround, the package from jessie-backports works
nicely.

Bug#798786: [libpam-kwallet5] kwalletd5 started by libpam-kwallet5 is not used by kwalletmanager5

2015-09-13 Thread Rahul Amaram
I pointed my repo to unstable and upgraded plasma-workspace. The problem
is now solved. I don't see any more zombie kwalletd5 process.

NOTE 1: ksshaskpass was broken earlier. Now, ksshaskpass is able to
retrieve the credentials at login time for adding my private keys to the
ssh agent. I am initializing this by adding "ssh-add" in the startup
programs (which indirectly calls ksshaskpass).

NOTE 2: It is possible that your kde wallet might get closed after being
unlocked upon login. To avoid this, ensure via kde wallet manager
"Configure wallet ..." settings that "Close when last application stops
using it" is not checked.

This package finally solves a long-time problem in Debian :)!

The latest mini.iso netboot image is not booting on my Macbook2,1 but
the official Debian 8.2 netinst image (315 MB) does.

The USB-sticks I've managed to boot in this machine all have had the
file efi/boot/bootia32.efi on the single partition they've had, either
a vfat partition prepared by grub-install or a is9660 filesystem
copied from the installer image. That's also the case with the 8.2
netinst image:

$ 7z l debian-8.2.0-i386-netinst.iso | grep bootia
2015-09-06 12:00:44 . 272384 272384 efi/boot/bootia32.efi

This file is not present in the netboot mini.iso.

The EFI implementation on old intel Macbooks is probably broken in
several ways, but to me it looks like the fix is easy, known, and
takes all of 272384 bytes in the installation image. But you are
right, the patch is not there yet.

Best,
Teemu

Bug#794410: Same problem on Asus ET1620I

2015-09-13 Thread Richard Zetterberg
Hello,

I have encountered the same problem with a Asus ET1620I AIO-computer.

The installation freezes at the 12% mark at "Select and install
software". The device does not response to keyboard input and pressing
the power-button does nothing. (I have to hold the power button down
to perform a forced reboot).

Since I can't change VT I tried changing to no. 4 before the problem
happen to try and see what the last output is before it freezes.

The last output is:

---
Sep 13 08:44:12 in-target: Setting up discover (2.1.2-7) ...
Sep 13 08:44:13 in-target: Processing triggers for libc-bin (2.19-18+deb8u1) ...
---

This output seems to come from installing "discover discover-data
libdiscover2 libexpat1". By looking further up on the screen I can see
the familiar "The following NEW packages will be installed" and those
4 packages are in that list.

The ET1620 has a Intel Celeron J1900 processor. It also asks for the
"rtl8168g-2.fw" firmware during hardware detection, and I answered
"No".

I have tried this installation using following ISO-images:

- debian-8.1.0-amd64-netinst.iso
- debian-8.2.0-amd64-netinst.iso

Which I downloaded from the debian-site today.

I will try with the "debian-8.0.0-amd64-netinst.iso" image and see
whether the problem persists.

Problem solved by deleting all plasma-rc file under .kde and .config and
recreate the desktop panels.
You may close this bug, though it is not really upstream fixed.

Still thinking about it.

This should be per-package, not per-game;
for example, rott-registered-data would get that
"Built from setup_rise_of_the_triad_2.0.0.5.exe",
but the shareware episode not.

Is this need only for innoextract'ed archives or all
kind of archives ?

Doom support is done.

Quake1 needs CUE-Splinting for music support;
as does some other GOG.com games I can't remember the name,
so this needs to be tought in a generic way.

Bug#798817: emacs24: gnus displays remote html content by default

2015-09-13 Thread Ansgar Burchardt
Package: emacs24
Version: 24.5+1-1
Severity: important

Gnus displays remote HTML content, such as (tracking) images, by
default. I noticed this when reading [1] on debian-user@l.d.o.

Most other mail clients (Evolution, Icedove) disallow remote content
by default and require explicit confirmation. I think gnus should
follow this example.

Bug#798818: Please consider updating kernel for mipsel buildds

2015-09-13 Thread Ole Streicher
Package: buildd.debian.org
Severity: important

Hi,

the current kernel of the mipsel buildds leads to an FTBS when compiling
the package "eso-midas" [1]. The problem is fixed in recent kernel
versions, but the buildds still run with the older ones.

This leads to the unfortunate situation that for every upload, I have to
search for a mipsel machine that is not affected by the bug (currently a
CI20) and compile and upload manually; otherwise the package would not
migrate to testing.

Please upgrade the kernel on the buildds, or "somehow" integrate the
patch that fixes the bug.

Best regards

Ole

pulseview cannot be binNMUed for the ongoing boost 1.58 transition since
it Build-Depends on versioned boost library packages:
  libboost-system1.55-dev, libboost-thread1.55-dev,
  libboost-filesystem1.55-dev
Please consider switching to the unversioned variants instead of bumping
the version to 1.58.

Do you mean mini.iso as in:
http://ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/dists/jessie/main/installer-amd64/current/images/netboot/mini.iso
or something else?

No patch, so removed, whether the fix is known or trivial in principal
an actual patch which actually does the required thing is what needs to
be produced.

I'm not actually 100% clear what you are asking for. Given the above
mini.iso I have in the ESP:

$ isoinfo -x /boot/grub/efi.img -RJ -i mini.iso-sid > efi.img
$ mdir -i efi.img -/ -b
::/efi/
::/efi/boot/
::/efi/boot/bootx64.efi

and

$ isoinfo -f -RJ -i mini.iso-sid

shows lots of stuff in /boot/grub/x86_64-efi of the main image, all of
which I believe is sufficient to boot on a 64-bit EFI system.

The i386 version of mini.iso instead has bootia32.efi in the ESP and
/boot/grub/i386-efi on the main ISO.

So either this isn't working for you or the request you are making is
for something else in addition.

Ian.

It is present in the ESP (efi.img within the iso image), which is
pointed to be (AIUI) the El Torito headers in the ISO.

Perhaps there are some systems for which this is not sufficient?

The fact that it is easy to describe in prose what needs to happen does
not mean that it is actually easy to implement I'm afraid.

accept the "VirtualBox Personal Use and Evaluation License" (PUEL). Please
read the license below. If you accept this license, the package
installation will continue. If you refuse it, it will be interrupted.
 .
 VirtualBox PUEL terms and conditions
 .
 License version 8, April 19, 2010
 .
ORACLE CORPORATION (“ORACLE”) IS WILLING TO LICENSE THE PRODUCT (AS DEFINED IN
§ 1 BELOW) TO YOU ONLY UPON THE CONDITION THAT YOU ACCEPT ALL OF THE TERMS
CONTAINED IN THIS VIRTUALBOX PERSONAL USE AND EVALUATION LICENSE AGREEMENT
(“AGREEMENT”). PLEASE READ THE AGREEMENT CAREFULLY. BY DOWNLOADING OR
INSTALLING THIS PRODUCT, YOU ACCEPT THE FULL TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT.
 .
IF YOU ARE AGREEING TO THIS LICENSE ON BEHALF OF AN ENTITY OTHER THAN AN
INDIVIDUAL PERSON, YOU REPRESENT THAT YOU ARE BINDING AND HAVE THE RIGHT TO
BIND THE ENTITY TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT.
 .
§ 1 Subject of Agreement. “Product”, as referred to in this Agreement, shall
be the binary software package “Oracle VM VirtualBox,” which Product allows
for creating multiple virtual computers, each with different operating
systems (“Guest Computers”), on a physical computer with a specific operating
system (“Host Computer”), to allow for installing and executing these Guest
Computers simultaneously. The Product consists of executable files in machine
code for the Solaris, Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X operating systems as well
as other data files as required by the executable files at run-time and
documentation in electronic form. The Product includes all documentation and
updates provided to You by Oracle under this Agreement and the terms of this
Agreement will apply to all such documentation and updates unless a different
license is provided with an update or documentation.
 .
 § 2 Grant of license. (1) Oracle grants you a personal, non-exclusive,
non-transferable, limited license without fees to reproduce, install, execute,
and use internally the Product a Host Computer for your Personal Use,
Educational Use, or Evaluation. “Personal Use” requires that you use the
Product on the same Host Computer where you installed it yourself and that no
more than one client connect to that Host Computer at a time for the purpose
of displaying Guest Computers remotely. “Educational use” is any use in an
academic institution (schools, colleges and universities, by teachers and
students). “Evaluation” means testing the Product for a reasonable period
(that is, normally for a few weeks); after expiry of that term, you are no
longer permitted to evaluate the Product.
 .
 (2) The “VirtualBox Guest Additions” are a set of drivers and utilities that
are shipped as a subset of the Product for the purpose of being installed
inside a Guest Computer to improve its performance and cooperation with the
rest of the Product. In addition to and independent of the rights granted by
subsection 1, Oracle allows you to install, execute, copy and redistribute a)
unmodified copies of the ISO installation medium of the VirtualBox Guest
Additions as shipped with the Product and b) the VirtualBox Guest Additions
together with the Guest Computer into which they have been installed.
 .
§ 3 Restrictions and Reservation of Rights. (1) Any use beyond the provisions
of § 2 is prohibited. The Product and copies thereof provided to you under
this Agreement are copyrighted and licensed, not sold, to you by Oracle.
Oracle reserves all copyrights and other intellectual property rights. This
includes, but is not limited to, the right to modify, make available or

not apply as far as applicable law may require otherwise or if Oracle grants
you additional rights of use in a separate agreement in writing.

 (2) You may not do any of the following: (a) modify the Product. However if
the documentation accompanying Product lists specific portions of Product,
such as header files, class libraries, reference source code, and/or
redistributable files, that may be handled differently, you may do so only as
 provided in the documentation; (b) rent, lease, lend or encumber the Product;
 (c) remove or alter any proprietary legends or notices contained in the

As the first RC of version 4 has been released

would be a great time to ensure the upstream codebase works well with

Hi,

Can I also add my encouragement for the packaging of version 0.15 and
the additional workbenches by 'hamish':

and

Bug#798740: lgogdownloader: running logdownloader in unatttended mode

2015-09-13 Thread Alexandre Detiste
Thanks for the quick patch.

Usage of stdout vs stderr in lgogdownloader seems overly inconsistent;
but that doesn't matter as the program correctly error out on a
failed/impossible login.

I'll add a "Suggests: lgogdownloader + Breaks: lgogdownloader (<< 2.25-2)"
in G-D-P; checking version at run-time like it's done for apt 1.1 doesn't seems
that usefull here; and this is the kind of package like "youtube-dl"
that'll break at each unofficial web API change anyway.

If someone wants to create backports of G-D-P,
he should backport lgogdownloader as well.

Am I right ? :-)

Bug#798695: libbson packaging

2015-09-13 Thread GCS
Hi Jesse,

Thanks for bringing this up. I'm the maintainer of MongoDB in Debian.
Always wanted to package libbson and other libraries / utilities
around it. Now took my time and it's about 90% ready. I need to remove
the yayl library from the source tree and build with the system
provided one.
My question is, do you want to do it alone or either let me do it or
do it together?

Regards,
Laszlo/GCS

Bug#798825: [libpam-kwallet5] Does not work with firefox/thunderbird kwallet plugin

2015-09-13 Thread Rahul Amaram

Package: libpam-kwallet5
Version: 5.4.0-1
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

A workaround for this is to install the pam-kwallet4 binary package from
ubuntu wily (http://packages.ubuntu.com/wily/pam-kwallet4) and then add
the below lines right below pam_kwallet5.so lines in /etc/pam.d/sddm:

...
...
-auth optionalpam_kwallet.so
...
...
...
-session optional pam_kwallet.so auto_start
...
...

Now whenever you login, a new kwalletd process is started as below:

rahul 1458 1452 0 15:55 ?00:00:00 [kwalletd]
rahul 1533 1 0 15:55 ?00:00:00 /usr/bin/kwalletd
--pam-login 17 22

Thunderbird / Firefox kwallet plugin should now work fine.

As per my understanding, kwalletd is the older kde wallet subsystem and
would be obsoleted. But till then, you might want to consider supporting
it (similar to how Ubuntu has two pam-kwallet4 and pam-kwallet5 packages
in wily).

Bug#798826: DDPO: displays not-for-us in reproducible builds column for architectures excluded in the package

2015-09-13 Thread Sebastian Ramacher
Package: qa.debian.org
Severity: normal

On my DDPO page intel-vaapi-driver is displayed as not-for-us in the
reproducible build column which is caused by r.d.n reporting intel-vaapi-driver
as not-for-us on armhf. This is expected since intel-vaapi-driver restricts its
Architecture field to i386, amd64, kfreebsd-i386 and kfreebsd-amd64. So please
ignore results for architectures that are explicitely excluded in the package.

This issue may be an issue in the data provided by r.d.n. In this case please
reassign it.

Cheers

If we want to move the discussion into visions about the future instead
of what's currently practically achivable, the real solution would /not/
be to include /sbin in PATH by default. We should move to the One True
/usr/bin (and make every other location a symlink to it). That would
also kill all the pointless moving binaries around games played today.

I don't see that happening this week though and we should probably
not hold our breath on the original issue discussed in this bug report
until it happens. We need to have a temporary solution inbetween.

Andreas Henriksson

I'm basically a Slackware user, and I gave Debian a spin out of
curiosity. Reporting a bug with Slackware is as easy as posting a
message in the LinuxQuestions forum, and a couple days later, the distro
maintainer fixes it, with a curt Thank You note in the ChangeLog.

I'll let you guys fix this, but as far as I'm concerned, there is
clearly a malfunction, so my bug report stops here.

Cheers from the sunny South of France,

Niki

So I'm running "GNOME on Wayland" and now the Debconf Graphical User

Owner: Kevin Murray

* Package name: snakemake
  Version : 3.4
  Upstream Author : Johannes Köster
* URL : https://bitbucket.org/johanneskoester/snakemake
* License : MIT
  Programming Lang: Python
Description : Snakemake -- a pythonic workflow system

>From upstream's README:

Build systems like GNU Make are frequently used to create complicated
workflows, e.g. in bioinformatics. This project aims to reduce the complexity
of creating workflows by providing a clean and modern domain specific
specification language (DSL) in python style, together with a fast and
  comfortable execution environment.

This will be collaboratively maintained with the Debian Med team.

Bug#798809: [libreoffice-impress] Deleting and pasting slides in Impress trigger 100% CPU and freeze UI

2015-09-13 Thread Michael Johnson

Package: libreoffice-impress
Version: 1:5.0.1-1
Severity: important

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

Since I upgraded to 5.0, Impress slows to unusability any time I attempt
to delete or paste slides. I primarily use it on a document with roughly
80-100 slides that I copy and update weekly, so it may have a lot of
cruft in it. However, it shouldn't take a whole minute to delete 20
slides, let alone the 20 minutes it has taken on at least one occasion.

I've reduced the document to a seemingly minimum number of slides, but
it's still 13MiB on disk. If it's ok to upload something of that size
here, I will do so.

It seems that after removing enough pages, it begins to work well again.
I don't know what triggers it yet. If I have opportunity to further
experiment, I'll provide updates.

Thanks,
Michael

It seems that a abi_tag attribut should be added in tango to the problematic

Bug#798811: x11-xserver-utils xrandr: shows display in connected state after disconnecting it with --off option

2015-09-13 Thread S. R. Wright

Package: x11-xserver-utils
Version: 7.7+5

Kernel: 4.2.0
Arch: amd64

The xrandr query command shows a display that had been disconnected with:

xrandr --output LVDS-1 --off

as still being connected. My host has an LCD display (LVDS-1) and an
external monitor (VGA-1). Starting with both connected:

> xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 8192 x 8192

   800x600 60.32
   640x480 60.00
   720x400 70.08

Both displays are active and mirroring. After running "xrandr --output
LVDS-1 --off" the LCD goes dark and the output now is:

> xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 8192 x 8192
LVDS-1 connected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

   1440x900 59.89
   1280x720 60.00
   1024x768 60.00
   800x600 60.32
   640x480 60.00
   720x400 70.08

However it still indicates that LVDS-1 is "connected" and some apps I
have tried (notably qiv, vlc and virtualbox guests) seem confused and
believe fullscreen is still 1600x900 and NOT 1920x1080.

This may be pilot error, but I would have suspected that LVDS-1 should
be "disconnected" and that apps should be completely unaware of its
existence and not use its res as fullscreen.

2015-09-13 Thread Rémi Vanicat
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I request an adopter for the realtimebattle package. If none is found, I
may fill a request for removal before the end of the year.

The package description is:
RealTimeBattle is a programming game in which robots controlled by programs
are fighting each other. The goal is to destroy the enemies, using the
radar to examine the environment and the cannon to shoot.
 .
Robot programs can be written in any language, all communication
with the main program is done via stdout/stdin.

Bug#798813: kgb-client: sometimes parses connection errors as JSON...

2015-09-13 Thread Holger Levsen
package: kgb-client
version: 1.33-2
x-debbugs-cc: reproducible-bui...@lists.alioth.debian.org

Hi,

we have a python script, which calls kgb-client and which sometimes results in
this error message:

malformed JSON string, neither array, object, number, string or atom, at
character offset 0 (before "Can't connect to col...") at
/usr/share/perl5/JSON/RPC/Legacy/Client.pm line 180.

< ntyni> that error message is almost certainly from kgb-client
< ntyni> well, it's getting "can't connect" from a lower level library and
parsing that as JSON

Filing this as a bug now, so that this can be debugged further.

cheers,
Holger

I think it only makes sense if the data source has its own distinct
identifier, e.g. file name (or cd-rom media label?). For loose files it
doesn't make much sense IMHO.

Bug#798821: dovecot-core: changed to systemd without documentation

2015-09-13 Thread Frank Engler
Package: dovecot-core

Dear Maintainer,

last update introduced /lib/systemd/system/dovecot.socket

Despite the fact customized configuration - especially
/etc/init.d/dovecot - might get ignored and these changes
are within a /stable/ release these changes are not
documented at all.

Bug#771465: Please add UEFI boot files to i386 and amd64 netboot images

2015-09-13 Thread Teemu Ikonen
retitle 768461 Please add UEFI boot files to i386 and amd64 netboot images
severity 768461 normal
tags 768461 patch
thanks

I recently had to reinstall jessie to my MacBook2,1 and found that the
Debian 8.2 i386 netinst image now works out of the box even with the
strange EFI implementation in this box. Many thanks to Steve McIntyre
for making this work, yay!

In general I like to do my installations with the netboot images,
since the 28 M image is sure to fit any USB stick which happens to be
at hand. It would be super-duper if the 32-bit and 64-bit EFI boot
files could also be added to these images, so that they too would
start to work like magic. For old intel MacBooks the EFI boot file
needs to be in the removable path, i.e. efi/boot/bootia32.efi

[I added the patch tag because the fix to this bug is known and
trivial, no patch attached though]

Best,
Teemu

I do not know why unionfs test is failing. However I believe we have to
ignore test failures anyway as tests rely on "fuse" and "modprobe fuse" hence
they will be failing on build servers and in pbuilder...

I think go-fuse is ready for upload.

Personally I would add "watch" file even though upstream do not tag releases
yet. Maybe you could ask upstream to produce a formal release?

Thank you.

I am unable to reproduce the issue. I've installed vlc, vlc-plugin-pulse and
vlc-plugin-sambda in jessie, marked vlc-data, vlc-plugin-pulse, libvlc5 and
libvlccore5 as hold and upgraded to unstable.

Please provide the output of vlc -vvv until the crash and a backtrace including
symbols (by installing vlc-dbg and liblua5.2-0-dbg).

I'm downgrading the bug until the issue can be reproduced.

Bug#798860: gcc-5-cross: add gnat support

2015-09-13 Thread YunQiang Su
Package: src:gcc-5-cross
Version: 9

In this patch:
  1. add packages in debian/control.in.{arch}
  2. debian/patches/gcc-5/enable-ada-cross.diff:
revert gnatlink find gcc command name,
with this patch, it will look for {triplet}-gcc-5-5
the different behavior with natvie build.
No idea why to be more work
   3. sed -i -e "/^Depends:/s/\(libgnat-[0-9]*\)
gnat-5-{triplet} depends on libgnat-5, while it has no
symbol files, so the dependency may be sed also.
 So black list it here.
Maybe add a symbol file should be a better choice.
   4. quilt --quiltrc /dev/null
Fix problems when we have ~/.quiltrc

Cool - many thanks!

I assume this is vanilla 0.15? There is an Path Module which I'd be
interested in playing with which has been merged into master
(http://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=15=11653)

Thanks again,

This should work for simple games:

http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-games/game-data-packager.git/commit/?id=e47ad4da639bca86695c20c3ddff746717d46e7c

For ROTT this got confused because the GOG.com package also
provides some files used to build rott-data (shareware).

Is the demo playing in ROTT broken ?

Now DEMO1_*.DMO is the only reason to download 1rott13.zip
when packaging the Steam/GOG version, but still
the demo doesn't work.

setup_doom2_2.0.0.6.exe will likely also end in either

at random; but not both.

Bug#798845: kwin-common: Effects KCM: Video preview (?) does not work

2015-09-13 Thread Ralf Jung
Package: kwin-common
Version: 4:5.4.1-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

The kwin effects KCM provides, for some effects, a button that looks like it
should show
a video preview. Hitting that button makes the corresponding row in the effects
configuration
really large, but nothing else happens. The result looks rather ugly, and not
like it has been
intended.

On stdout/stderr, I see:

defaultServiceProvider::requestService(): no service found for -
"org.qt-project.qt.mediaplayer"

So maybe there's some dependency missing here? In any case, these buttons
should either work,
or they should be hidden.

Kind regards,
Ralf

Bug#798433: qemu-system-x86: kvm's std graphical interface broken for greater one than SVGA

2015-09-13 Thread Thomas Schlegel

I've build a clean stable testsytem (qemu* 1:2.1+dfsg-12+deb8u2).

This Bug is existing also there. A partial downgrade to wheezy isn't
possible.

After I've seen the list of packages, I presume

Nope. #797225 needs to be fixed, not scheduling binNMUs until that's
done.

Bug#781776: it's a postfix problem

2015-09-13 Thread Russell Coker
reassign 781776 postfix
thanks

A patch like the attached one for the postfix postinst file should fix this.

Restorecon won't do any harm if it's installed but SE Linux is not enabled.
Adding this patch will not have any noticable down-side but will make SE Linux
systems work correctly without this problem.

Bug#798782: gcc-5: add gnat sjlj back

2015-09-13 Thread YunQiang Su
Some fix for cross-build-native:

debian/patches/ada-libgnatvsn.diff:
Should use the CC from build/Makefile, which will pass it CC correct.

debian/patches/cross-build-native.diff
  patch src/libcc1/configure.ac
libcc1 use gcc_cv_objdump, while it is not set at all.
Use the same snap of code from src/gcc/configure.ac
  Patch src/libgo/runtime/go-main.c
then main() has a return value `int', while it returns NULL,
and ... NULL is defined as (void *)0, in stddefs.h

debian/rules2 b/debian/rules2
when building gccjit for cross-build-native, it should be the same with
 DEB_CROSS was set.

Know issue:
for ppc64el, libgomp1 will lost *some* of acc_* symbols, not all.
No idea why.

The package list of env is also attached.

The missing images exceptions are nothing to worry about.

openstreetmap-map-icons misses few images that are available in the
upstream josm build as jar resources.

I'm sorry to hear josm is not working for. Unfortunately I cannot
reproduce the problem. It works as expected on my freshly upgrade
unstable VM.

A broken fileselector leads me to think GTK is not in order on your
system.

Can your start josm with --debug and provide this logging, it may help
pinpoint the issue on your system.

> Splash screen claims the version is odd and there's a newer stable

There have been several new JOSM releases, but they all require JCS
which I've not had much luck getting packaged for Debian (#783538).
The recent JMapViewer release now likewise require JCS and cannot be
updated in Debian until we get JCS packaged.

Help is very much appreciated. If I cannot get JCS packaged before the
freeze, I'll have JOSM removed from the archive.

Several of the popular plugins now require newer JOSM versions than we
have available in Debian, so the josm package is becoming increasingly
irrelevant anyway.

Kind Regards,

Bas

Bug#732080: cmake: Boost is now multiarched

2015-09-13 Thread Michael Banck
Hi,

FWIW, I can reproduce the problem from one project I am packaging with
the following minimal CMakeLists.txt:

set(BOOST_ROOT ${BOOST})
set(Boost_NO_SYSTEM_PATHS TRUE)
set(Boost_DETAILED_FAILURE_MSG TRUE)
find_package(Boost 1.48 COMPONENTS thread system )

Without the patch:

mbanck@lightning:/tmp/cmake-boost-test/build$ cmake .. -DBOOST=/usr
-- The C compiler identification is GNU 4.9.2
-- The CXX compiler identification is GNU 4.9.2
-- Check for working C compiler: /usr/bin/cc

-- Detecting CXX compiler ABI info - done
-- Could NOT find Boost
Boost version: 1.55.0
Boost include path: /usr/include
Could not find the following static Boost libraries:
boost_thread
boost_system
No Boost libraries were found. You may need to set BOOST_LIBRARYDIR to
the directory containing Boost libraries or BOOST_ROOT to the location
of Boost.

And with:

mbanck@lightning:/tmp/cmake-boost-test/build$ cmake .. -DBOOST=/usr
-- The C compiler identification is GNU 4.9.2
-- The CXX compiler identification is GNU 4.9.2
-- Check for working C compiler: /usr/bin/cc

-- Detecting CXX compiler ABI info
-- Detecting CXX compiler ABI info - done
-- Boost version: 1.55.0
-- Found the following Boost libraries:
-- thread
-- system

Not sure the way they setup BOOST_ROOT and Boost_NO_SYSTEM_PATHS TRUE is
kosher, but wanted to let you know that there's at least corner-cases
where this patch might help.

The problem is that "execute()" in "environment.py" is receiving the empty
string as "pwd" argument, and this in turn is due to "run()", in
latex_modules/bibtex.py, calling "os.path.dirname" on a string which contains
(at least in some cases) a filename rather than a full path.

The problem is solved by replacing

workdir = os.path.dirname (self.base)

with

workdir = os.path.dirname(os.path.realpath(self.base))

at line 256 of latex_modules/bibtex.py. I am farly confident this fix should
not have undesired effects, what I ignore is whether it would better be
implemented at some other level (i.e. if other modules than bibtex are affected
by this bug).

I tried to reproduce this by adding lenny to sources.list (from
archive.debian.org), but behaviour is correct.

Not sure if this makes a difference, but I'm unable to reproduce this
with my current setup (pure Jessie install and with Lenny from
archive.debian.org added to sources.list).

Feel free to close this old bug as unreproducible and thanks for looking
into such old issues.

Agreed.

Looking one step further it looks like the whole if is useless, since
$colorset will always be defined by the if/elsif/else construct
above.

But I guess this code is trying to do something else, like checking
if a specific ${which}_colorset exists.

After digging a bit through the code, it looks like
check_frame_colorset() is called with a $frame_implementation as the
second parameter, and this can by either "W3C" or "Netscape", and
then we find @Netscape_colorset* (but no @W3C_colorset*).

So the code in check_frame_colorset() sets $colorset to either
"Netscape_colorset*" or "W3C_colorset*" and then tries to check if an
array with this name exists. And therefore I guess the line should be

 if (! @$colorset)

Seems to work in a quick minimal test :)

Cheers,
gregor, preparing an NMU with this change

Bug#798826: [Reproducible-builds] Bug#798826: DDPO: displays not-for-us in reproducible builds column for architectures excluded in the package

Thanks for bringing this case to our attention. The addition of another arch
to rb.d.n is quite new and there are still some bugs we need to weed out.

That said, I'm not sure how differences in test results between are to be
presented to consumers like DDPO or the tracker. In general I think the
problematic result should "win" (the package is unreproducible on armhf and
reproducible on amd65 -> it should be displayed as unreproducible, idealy with
the extra remark "on armhf"). I'm not sure this is the case already.
src:u-boot is a good candidate to check on this, as we know its reproducible
on amd64 atm and unreproducible on armhf…

That said, I think 404 and not-for-us should be ignored when preparing the
json output and I've just pushed this changed, which should be visible
tomorrow.

the bugs is #785531 and as you can read, I first thought it was wrong too, but
got convinced otherwise.

And as this bug is done, we already produce two json files: reproducible.json
and reproducible-tracker.json

> We provide data and consumers needs to be aware on how to use it.

Yes. But we define how it's to be used, so we should present a data source
with such definitions. Else we would need to tell consumers to change their
code each time we change the way we look at the data. This is why we have
reproducible-tracker.json already.

> In particular I believe the followings:
> * not-for-us needs to be filtered by the DDPO: there is no point in

I don't think we should present results solely based on how well our
architecture coverage is. This is nothing package maintainers are interested
in.

> * needs support for multiple architecture (it's very new: less than a
>month)

yeah

> * maybe care only about unstable: if a version in unstable is repr.
>while the lower version in testing is not, then there is no need to

/reproducible-tracker.json already only includes data about unstable, for this
very reason.

Holger

Bug#798821: dovecot-core: changed to systemd without documentation

On Sun, 13 Sep 2015, Frank Engler wrote:

Dear Maintainer,

last update introduced /lib/systemd/system/dovecot.socket
and /lib/systemd/system/dovecot.service to handle startup.
Despite the fact customized configuration - especially
/etc/init.d/dovecot - might get ignored and these changes
are within a /stable/ release these changes are not
documented at all.

I'm curious as to which version you upgraded from and could you have
installed anything else which would trigger the use of systemd? systemd
support was added way back in 1:2.1.7 (May-June 2012) and hasn't been
touched since then. Certainly there is nothing in the latest update which
involves it? In your last upgrade did you lose systemd-shim perhaps?

Yes, the bug report has been addressed and the fix committed to the
stable branch. It was planned to get it through the 8.2 release, but the
announcement of the release date has been done a bit too late for being
able to get a kernel uploaded in time.

Yes, I understand it's unfortunate. The rule is that the build daemons
should run a stable kernel, and we don't have any fixed stable kernel
yet.

We'll try to see if we can get a solution without having to wait for
the 8.3 release.

Bug#798848: icedove: Icedove is not using XDG desktop notifications (libnotify)

2015-09-13 Thread Ralf Jung
Package: icedove
Version: 40.0~b1-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Icedove is using its own, custom UI for notifications rather than integrating
with
the desktop by using libnotify (or the DBus service wrapped by that library).
According to , this is
supposed to be fixed by now, but it's not - at least not in the Debian packages.

Iceweasel, btw, is using libnotify just fine to implement "Web Notifications"
(and probably also for the download-finished notification).

Kind regards,
Ralf

No, the glibc on jessie is actually built with gcc 4.8, as gcc 4.9
introduces some regression on the pthread cleanup functions. This
means it's very likely to be the same bug.

I guess the only way to fix that is to actually fix gcc-4.8 and rebuild
the glibc afterwards.

FWIW, you don't have to wait until the last minute to file a pu bug with
proposed fixes, you can do that even before a date is picked...

Bug#756123: chained implicit rule can fail to make a prerequisite

2015-09-13 Thread Alex Vong
Hi everyone,

The bug appears to be fixed in GNU Make 4.0 and 4.1 by some unknown commits.

According to ,

Hi Manoj; I ran the test with both 3.81 and 3.82 and it failed almost
immediately: I ran it 100 times with 4.0 and 4.1 and couldn't reproduce the
failure. So, some change between 3.82 and 4.0 fixed the issue; unfortunately
I'm not sure which one so I can't help with that. It probably wouldn't be
too
difficult to use git bisect to find the particular change if you wanted to
backport it.

I am going to close this bug report after some time. Feel free to ping me if
you have any problems.

Cheers,
Alex

Agreed, that's possible. That said, for some packages like the kernel,
we use to accumulate change in the SVN, until the mail to the
pointreleasen@release.d.o alias, which includes debian-kernel@l.d.o
"triggers" the upload. Maybe it's time to change the method...

Bug#798821: dovecot-core: changed to systemd without documentation

That may be the reason the issue didn't show up on a test system.

> Certainly there is nothing in the latest update which
> involves it? In your last upgrade did you lose systemd-shim perhaps?

I just installed the 8.1 -> 8.2 update at once. So any package of
https://www.debian.org/News/2015/20150905 may be the cause. But most likely
there are:
# tail -50 /var/log/aptitude | grep dovecot
[AKTUALISIERUNG] dovecot-core:amd64 1:2.2.13-11 -> 1:2.2.13-12~deb8u1
[AKTUALISIERUNG] dovecot-imapd:amd64 1:2.2.13-11 -> 1:2.2.13-12~deb8u1
[AKTUALISIERUNG] dovecot-ldap:amd64 1:2.2.13-11 -> 1:2.2.13-12~deb8u1
[AKTUALISIERUNG] dovecot-lmtpd:amd64 1:2.2.13-11 -> 1:2.2.13-12~deb8u1
# tail -50 /var/log/aptitude | grep systemd
[AKTUALISIERUNG] libsystemd0:amd64 215-17+deb8u1 -> 215-17+deb8u2
[AKTUALISIERUNG] systemd:amd64 215-17+deb8u1 -> 215-17+deb8u2
[AKTUALISIERUNG] systemd-sysv:amd64 215-17+deb8u1 -> 215-17+deb8u2

I got to see it, because etckeeper told of two new symlinks:
/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/dovecot.service
/etc/systemd/system/sockets.target.wants/dovecot.socket

Your postinst does some systemd stuff:
|if deb-systemd-helper --quiet was-enabled dovecot.socket; then
|# Enables the unit on first installation, creates new
|# symlinks on upgrades if the unit file has changed.
|deb-systemd-helper enable dovecot.socket >/dev/null || true|
|else
|# Update the statefile to add new symlinks (if any), which need to be
|# cleaned up on purge. Also remove old symlinks.
|deb-systemd-helper update-state dovecot.socket >/dev/null || true|
|fi
But that should not raise this issue.

I tried to reproduce the issue on a test system. But as last time, it doesn't
occur there.

Bug#798830: dmucs: race condition in start scripts prevents loadavg starting

2015-09-13 Thread Tim Connors
Package: dmucs
Version: 0.6.1-2.1
Severity: important

I've been wondering for years why dmucs never worked in my network.
Finally traced the start scripts:

if start_server && server_running ;  then
...
if start_loadavg && running ;  then

start_server and start_loadavg don't create a valid PID file for some
indeterminate time after start-stop-daemon fork off a dmucs/loadavg
process.

+ log_daemon_msg 'Starting dmucs distcc coordinator ' dmucs
+ '[' -z 'Starting dmucs distcc coordinator ' ']'
+ log_daemon_msg_pre 'Starting dmucs distcc coordinator ' dmucs
+ log_use_fancy_output
+ TPUT=/usr/bin/tput
+ EXPR=/usr/bin/expr
+ '[' -t 1 ']'
+ '[' xxterm '!=' x ']'
+ '[' xxterm '!=' xdumb ']'
+ '[' -x /usr/bin/tput ']'
+ '[' -x /usr/bin/expr ']'
+ /usr/bin/tput hpa 60
+ /usr/bin/tput setaf 1
+ '[' -z ']'
+ FANCYTTY=1
+ case "$FANCYTTY" in
+ true
+ echo -n '[] '
[] + '[' -z dmucs ']'
+ echo -n 'Starting dmucs distcc coordinator : dmucs'
Starting dmucs distcc coordinator : dmucs+ log_daemon_msg_post 'Starting dmucs
distcc coordinator ' dmucs
+ :
+ server_running
+ '[' '!' -f /var/run/dmucs.pid ']'
+ return 1
+ start_server
+ start-stop-daemon --background --make-pidfile --start --pidfile
/var/run/dmucs.pid --exec /usr/sbin/dmucs --
+ errcode=0
+ return 0
+ server_running
+ '[' '!' -f /var/run/dmucs.pid ']'
+ return 1
+ log_end_msg 1

Bugger. Bails out with failure message instead of continuuing on to
start loadavg.

A quick "fix" is to:

if start_server && sleep 5 && server_running ;  then
...
if start_loadavg && sleep 5 && running ;  then

but surely there's a better way (eg, remove the test entirely, since
I've never seen any other init script do something like this).
