Bug#800509: llvm 3.6 - beignet

2015-09-30 Thread Rebecca N. Palmer

- - beignet builds fine with llvm-3.6, but needs a sourceful upload
because of hardcoded dependencies on control file

That's there because, while it builds and mostly works with 3.6, this at
least used to sometimes hit a bug:
http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/Beignet/
As I do not have code to reproduce this
(http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/beignet/2015-April/005592.html),
I don't know if this is still the case; I'll ask upstream.

Are you planning to remove 3.5 now, or only switch the default?

It seems to build on arm64. Perhaps it should be "Architecture: any".

removing other packages such as cairo-dock.

I get the following when trying to install:

Can you give an update on how many packages would FTBFS ? Are there bugs,
patches, or anything for those?

Works fine here with e.g. https://www.google.com, https://http2.golang.org and
https://http2.cloudflare.com.

Can you please post the output with the '-v' flag? Also, how do I configure

Did you have time to look at the new upload yet? (Since you didn't take
ownership of the RFS I don't know if you're intending to sponsor it or
if you're “only” providing — valuable! — feedback. In the latter case I

2015-09-30 Thread Matthias Klumpp
Package: ftp.debian.org
Severity: normal

Hi!
Please remove the debconf-kde0 source package - we don't need it in unstable
anymore, since Apper will soon be gone from unstable as well to perform the
final steps of the KDE Frameworks 5 transition, and the upcoming release of
Apper (snapshot available in experimental) will use the more recent Qt5 based
library from the debconf-kde package.

Bug#741975: xul-ext-gnome-keyring: Does not store passwords

2015-09-30 Thread Ralf Jung
Hi,

I have the same problem: After entering the password in Icedove, they
appear in Seahores. Restarting Icedove works fine. However, when I log
out and back in, the passwords seem to be all gone and I am asked for
all of them again.

This renders the plugin entirely useless.

Kind regards,

Bug#800544: coturn: Please allow telnet-ssl being installed instead of telnet

2015-09-30 Thread Axel Beckert
Package: coturn
Severity: wishlist
Version: 4.2.1.2-1
Control: found -1 4.5.0.2-1

Dear Daniel and Oleg,

coturn currently depends on "telnet". telnet and telnet-ssl cannot be
co-installed. So please depend on "telnet | telnet-client" instead of
only "telnet" to allow "telnet-ssl" or another alternative
implementation to be used.

If you require explicitly the netkit telnet, then please use "telnet |
telnet-ssl" instead of just "telnet". telnet-ssl is not built from the
same source package but from the same implementation. (Source package
netkit-telnet vs netkit-telnet-ssl)

TIA!

It's a so-called long-tail problem; packaging the GOG + Steam
version would please most people & with a bit of luck work for the original
media too.

Packaging only the English version at first will also please most people.

I'm still thinking of use case for this :
- sometimes the windows archive is smaller that the linux one
- user may want to --save-dowloads /media/win/something
& install the game again on his windows system ?

For the rest a .zip file is better because
we don't need to call an external program.

>

> (Just a finding, nothing serious :) )

For now there's always a 1:1 match between the language of
the Debian package and the one of the GOG package;
the 'de' .deb is built from the setup_*_german.exe etc...

I can't see how one e. g. could build a "fr" .deb from a "de" gog archive (?)

> Ok. I appreciate that we prioritize linux versions. But there is no
> runtime option to override the lgogdownloader behaviour, isn't it?
> I can't use

"--language xx" should well be added to G-D-P; having
to list possible package with --help & the run again
with --package game-$LANG-date is a bit cumbersome.

"--language xx" would have the seame meaning than for
lgogdownloader: "create package in this language or do nothing",
but would also work with freebies like Soltys or Dreamweb
but also Steam games. G-D-P would fail instead of packaging
an unwanted english version

This way someone can override the automagical behaviour of
LANGUAGE & LANG.

---

"--platform":
G-D-P should not show, but hide the complexity of all the
external tools that all have tens and tens of command line switches
("man arj" is nightmarish)

PS:

Innoextract v1.5 provides a solution for this.

This baldur gate game definitively needs custom coding
& to check for innoextract 1.5 at run-time;
either via some conditional check or aclass function that
get overriden in "game_data_packager/games/gemrb_common"
to create.

chitin.key = Baldur's Gate
Chitin.key = Baldur's Gate - Tales of the Sword Coast

tchet@antec:/tmp$ innoextract --version --quiet

Listing "Baldur's Gate" - setup data version 5.2.3
 - "app/chitin.key" (212 KiB) - overwritten
 - "app/Chitin.key" (232 KiB)
Done.

tchet@antec:/tmp$ innoextract -l --collisions=rename -I chitin.key
/home/tchet/gdp/baldur/Baldur\'s\ Gate\ -\ The\ Original\ Saga\
\(1999\)/setup_baldurs_gate.exe
Listing "Baldur's Gate" - setup data version 5.2.3
 - "app/chitin.key" (212 KiB)
 - "app/Chitin.key#g2" (232 KiB)
Done.

from the man page:

"rename" Rename files in the collision set by appending
"#component", "@language" and/or "$id" where component and language are the
file's unique component and language and id is the lowest number
to make the filename unique. If the --default-language is specified, the
"@language" component is omitted if it matches the default

I agree with your perception that the changes I introduced may be
problematic if one is going to change the game's basedir. However, I
only found this out after I uploaded the package and got Piccoro's (?)

I turned this into a "Depends: sleepyhead" in the data task and a
"Suggests: sleepyhead" in tools. In Blends a package can perfectly show

Ok, this confirms my own tests. This is apparently the same bug as

As of 2015-09-30, mbox export from the BTS is not working:

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=800118;mbox=yes just
gives me some "Received" and "X-Spam-Checker-Version" headers
(see attached bug_800118-6.mbox).

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?mbox=yes;bug=800118;mboxstatus=yes
is very similar.

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?mbox=yes;bug=800118;mboxmaint=yes
only contains several repeats of:

> debian-bugs-dist@lists.debian.org^DDebian Games Team

where ^D and ^E represent U+0004 and U+0005 (see attached bug_800118-8.mbox).

Other mbox links, such as those for individual messages or different bugs,
have similar behaviour.

This breaks the ability to reply using `bts show --mbox`.

JFTR: Aptitude 0.7.2 on my system can satisfy the mentioned dependency
of qgis on Debian Sid amd64 without any issues, independent of the
fact that libgdal1i is already installed or not.

So for me it looks like a not uptodate or complete local package list,
because that error message usually appears if a package is mentioned
as a dependency, but not available in the package lists (including
provided, i.e. virtual packages).

So please run "aptitude update" or "apt update". If that doesn't help,
please delete everything from /var/lib/apt/lists/partial and again run
"aptitude update" or "apt update". This should solve the issue.

Oh, and please use either reportbug or M-x debian-bug in Emacs for bug
reports so we get information about the distributions you have in your
sources.list and other meta-information. Without that, such bug
reports are a lot of unnecessary guess-work.

Does it mean each python-apt client should code should have a try/except

the unreadable sources?

Thank you for filing this bug report.

I remember @dkg mentioning the same during the DebConf demo but I
couldn't recollect the specifics.

I will look into it soon.

Cloning a wishlist bug for this. It should end up rather similar to
xatrix and rogue, I think.

Unfortunately, the download link is broken now that Fileplanet has gone
down. Apparently it should be available somewhere in
, but good luck finding
it in there...

https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-ports/blob/master/games/quake2-zaero/distinfo
has some hashes for the various files, but no hints about where to get them.

Yamagi doesn't have game code for this, and while briefly looking for a
download location I found a review saying it's hideously bad, so maybe
not worth bothering with anyway.

I've reassigned these RFPs to g-d-p and made them wishlist. Before
updating the version and sha*sums, a DD should check the diff and make
sure there's nothing malicious or horribly broken in the new release.

I don't think they can be packaged for Debian any other way, because
https://github.com/yquake2/xatrix/blob/master/LICENSE makes derivative
works non-distributable, as far as I can tell. If anyone else disagrees
with my assessment, and wants to take responsibility for packaging these
and getting them past the ftp-masters, feel free to reassign back to
wnpp and turn them into ITPs; but I'm not going to do it.

Similarly, if you think you can convince id lawyers to GPL the
xatrix/rogue game code, you're welcome to try.

Bug#800502: Please just open urls in a browser

2015-09-30 Thread Enrico Zini
Package: konsole
Version: 4:15.08.1-1
Severity: important

Hello,

when I click on a URL to open it, konsole does not just open it in a
browser, but it seems to make a HEAD request for it, check its mime
type, and then open it in the application associated with that mime
type.

This is causing all sorts of problems:

 - there is a lag before opening a URL
 - when I click on a URL, I have no way of knowing what is going to
   happen. Thankfully, clicking on
   http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/d/debtags/debtags_2.0.1_all.deb
asks me what I want to open it with, instead of just trying to
install it, and thankfully https://sso.debian.org/spkac/ca.pem does
not import it automatically: those are the two first things that came
   to my mind.
 - I have seen an image url open in gimp, which cannot open URLs
 - occasionally, a URL is opened in an application that does not run in
background, and konsole just freezed waiting for it to finish. All my
   open terminals were frozen.

Running ps on a completely different terminal I found this relevant
   process:
  /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libexec/kf5/kioexec shutter %F
https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/s720x720/12046782_622502334558707_4102355954418697241_n.jpg?oh=85a81b658f0f77abede441e203e903b9=5695852A
and killing it gave me my existing terminals back.

I would like konsole to just open links using /usr/bin/x-www-browser, or
to have a configuration option for what browser to use to open links. I
looked in "Configure Konsole" or "Edit current profile", and found
no way of changing it.

Thank you,

Enrico

Bug#800496: evolution-ews: Unable to store Host URI / OAB URI

2015-09-30 Thread Yusuf Iskenderoglu
Package: evolution-ews
Version: 3.16.3-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

Currently, evolution cannot access EWS anymore and prevents me from using
company mail.

Between 2015-09-25 and 2015-09-28 some packages were updated in
Debian/unstable.
I cannot tell which one is causing the problem. I experimented on downgrading
libsoup, on downgrading
all of the parts of evolution to 3.16.3 (currently, evolution itself has a
different version
than evolution-ews [3.16.5 vs 3.16.3]).
None of them helped.

I assume, it might be related to something deeper in the dconf/dbus/glib
interaction, but for this to find out, I am not technical enough.

The problem is: After that upgrade evolution "lost" the setting of Hosturl in
the source file (in .config/evolution/sources), and is no longer able to store
it. I can enter the URL to exchange web services, I can fetch the OAB Url,
however when storing

a) I am no longer asked for a password
b) I monitored the happening with dbus-monitor and have seen that something is
returning "CredentialsRequired"
c) Evolution first displays "Timeout"
d) Evolution prints to the console "failed to commit changes" due to some dconf
timeout.
e) However, the /usr/lib/dconf/dconf-service is running
f) Using dconf-editor I can see and modify settings in dconf
g) No other gnome-application seems to have a problem

If I retry storing, evolution hangs and needs me to execute killev.
If I try to see what it is trying to open using strace, evolution hangs and
becomes unresponsive requiring me to kill strace.

It also does not help modifying the .config/evolution/sources/xxx.source file
by adding the URLs manually, somehow they are not used when starting evolution.

In the meantime: The company using the Microsoft Exchange Server did not change
the server version, nor
there was a mystical Microsoft Update.

It would be nice if somebody can point me to the right solution.

Well, for me that means, it's no bug in aptitude either, just broken
packages in Debian Unstable as it may happen from time to time.

IMHO we can just close this bug report.

Hi Hilko. Yes, that looks like it will work also. However I would rather add
the architecture qualifiers now and remove them later rather than have a more
complicated B-D line that is permanent.

I'll leave the decision to more experienced minds than mine.

If we (actually APT) skip over unreadable sources.list files, the view
of the system state would be inconsistent. A new cache would have to be
generated in-memory not containing packages from that sources which would
change pinning, and also dependency resolution.

It also hides an error: Those files should not be unreadable. If a
sources.list file is unreadable, that's an error in the user or the
program creating it.

APT could get around displaying a warning instead, but this would not
work for python-apt, as the warning would be silently discarded.

The advantage in my approach is that it need not be changed and can be
used for other architectures that the golang code base may be ported to.

It seems that there is no __cxxabi_config.h in /usr/include/c++/v1 directory.
So I just put a __cxxabi_config.h taken from internet in /usr/include/c++/v1,
it did work then.

I agree. I just took over from a former Uploader in the team and did
not wanted to change his scheme but think it is not a good solution.
I'll upload a fixed package in the next couple of days.

You are perfectly right.

Bug#800338: wodim: cant write/read using internal DVD GT34N for spesific DVD disc

2015-09-30 Thread Thomas Schmitt
Hi,

results for now:

- Write type "DAO" (option -sao) is not working. The attempt to write
spoils the DVD-R medium for further writing.

- Write type "Incremental" (option -tao) for now failed only because
it got to see the spoiled media from the -sao attempts.

Please try -tao with a fresh DVD-R medium.

Do not make further experiments with -sao. It's futile.

Details from your report:

> brianajie@heavenbox:~/tmp$ cdrskin -v dev=/dev/sr0 -sao dota1.iso
> ...
> cdrskin: FATAL : SCSI error on write(0,16): See MMC specs: Sense Key 3
> "Medium error", ASC 0C ASCQ 80.

That's the same problem that can be seen in the Brasero log.

> brianajie@heavenbox:~/tmp$ cdrskin -v dev=/dev/sr0 -tao dota1.iso
> ...
> cdrskin: status 3 BURN_DISC_APPENDABLE "There is an incomplete disc in the
> drive"

The DVD-R is not blank any more. The "Incremental" write type
would be able to write to this medium, but the free space on
medium is much too small for taking the ISO image:

> cdrskin: FATAL : predicted session size 2294244s does not fit on media (3616s)

The burn preparations of the -sao run reserved most of
the medium capacity but then failed to fill this by data.
Now this capacity is not usable any more.

The other failures happen out of similar reasons:

> cdrskin: SORRY : Write job parameters are unsuitable
> cdrskin: Reason: SAO: write type SAO works only on blank media,

The write type on DVD-R is named "DAO", not "SAO", but elsewise
the program is right. This write type cannot work with DVD-R which
have already written data or a reserved track.

> cdrskin: FATAL : predicted session size 487500s does not fit on media (3616s)

There are only 7 MB remaining for writing on this DVD-R.
You's need to make a very small ISO so that it could fit
in there. (It would not work anyway, as we learn next.)

Then you obviously tried a new DVD-R:

The -sao run failed again with Medium Error.

The -tao run saw enough free space.
But the DVD-R is again in an unhealthy state from the previous
failed -sao run:

> Starting new track at sector: 487520
> cdrskin: FATAL : SCSI error on write(487520,16): [5 21 02] Illegal request.
> Invalid address for write.

The drive refused to write at the start of the unused area
of the DVD-R. Probably because the first session on the medium
is not completed.

> I tried again with the CDRW disc and DVDRW disc to makes sure
> that not drive failure and both disc works flawlessly.

So the drive is quite selectively incapable of DVD-R "DAO".

It is not clear yet whether it would do "Incremental".

Have a nice day :)

Sure, I've an updated nip2 package[1] which is not yet ready. Have

Bug#800492: libc++-dev: Missing __cxxabi_config.h in libc++-dev

2015-09-30 Thread Xiangyu Liu
Actually I found the __cxxabi_config.h in libc++abi-dev package ( 3.7.0-1
), and I installed libc++abi-dev. But it could not be found automatically
by /usr/include/c++/v1/cxxabi.h.
If I set CXXFLAGS += /usr/include/libcxxabi then it did work. So my bug
report should be " Clang 3.7 can't find __cxxabi_config.h automatically
with libc++-dev & libc++abi-dev".
Anyway, let me keep it for libc++-dev.

Thanks,

Bug#800118: binary directory problems loading mods

wrote:

Debian's yamagi-quake2 package is not designed to be used as a
standalone Quake engine. If it was, it would be in $PATH, not buried
under /usr/lib. The package description even says so:

This engine is intended to be used via the wrapper script and menu
 entries in the quake2 package.

If you don't follow the instructions and you don't use it as intended,
then software doesn't work. This is not really a bug at all, and
certainly not a grave one.

Fabian, I think the change you made for this is actually a regression:
previously, it was possible to run the Quake II demo (or a standalone
non-Quake-II game analogous to FreeDoom and OpenArena, if such a thing
exists) by setting the basedir to a suitable path. This is useful
because it means the maintainers of src:yquake2 and src:quake, who
probably all own a retail copy of Quake II, can test that the demo has
not regressed without having to remove the retail Quake II data.

Steps to reproduce the regression:

* have quake2, quake2-data and quake2-demo-data installed
* "quake2 --demo"
* look at the search path

Expected result: only the demo is loaded; the full game is not

Actual result:

> Using /usr/share/games/quake2//baseq2/ to fetch paks
> Added packfile '/usr/share/games/quake2//baseq2/pak0.pak' (3307
> files).
> Added packfile '/usr/share/games/quake2//baseq2/pak1.pak' (279 files).

> Using binary dir /usr/lib/yamagi-quake2/baseq2/ to fetch paks
> Using '/home/smcv/.yq2/baseq2' for writing.

See also commits 308d9bb3 and 4941fb9c.

If you insist on configuring yquake2 to look in /usr/share/games/quake2
by default, I think the correct change would be to patch filesystem.c
with one of these arrangements:

* set the default for fs_basedir to the system-wide path instead of ".",
so that "+set basedir" can override, and do not call
  FS_AddSystemwideGameDirectory(); or
* skip FS_AddSystemwideGameDirectory() if fs_basedir is at a
  non-default value

To make decision on this, I've tried Stretch Alpha3 D-I image and
checked it more closely, and I find some terribly ragged lines in
Thai messages due to long text chunks, which could look better
if they were broken properly.

And I also find some "manual breaks" (spaces intended for breaking
long text chunks into smaller ones) in translated messages,
but I may not revise them, as they seem to be still useful for
the text-mode D-I.

For improved quality in GTK+ D-I, I think having libthai enabled
should be good.

The sizes of the installed files are:

30504 /usr/lib/libdatrie.so.1.3.2
36832 /usr/lib/libthai.so.0.2.2
564766 /usr/share/libthai/thbrk.tri

which appear to be not so big.

So, please keep the bug open. I'll prepare the udebs soon.

Bug#800498: live-boot: Default the host in fetch urls to be ROOTSERVER

2015-09-30 Thread Russell Stuart
Source: live-boot
Version: 5.0~a5-1
Severity: wishlist
Tags: patch

Would you consider defaulting the host portion of a URL to be the
ROOTSERVER if it is blank?

Reason: this would mean I don't have to customise live.cfg for each
server I deploy it on (because the tftp server also serves the root
image).

So:

 append fetch=tftp:///path/file.ext

doesn't work now, but if the attached patch is applied this would be
assumed since the host is blank:

 append fetch=tftp://${ROOTSERVER}/path/file.ext

You're probably opened the cache without holding a lock, and
an update ran in parallel. That's really the only possible
explanation I could think of.

Bug#800557: RM: mate-media [all] -- RoQA; obsolete cruft binary

2015-09-30 Thread Moritz Muehlenhoff
Package: ftp.debian.org
Severity: normal

Hi,
please remove the "all" package of mate-media in unstable:
It's still at 1.8.0+dfsg1-4, while the package has gone
from arch:all to arch:any.

Apparently there's a bug in the auto decrufter which doesn't
catch this situation.

The old 1.8.0+dfsg1-4_all still depends on gstreamer 0.10,
which we're trying to get rid of.

Cheers,
Moritz

Bug#800558: pki-server: pki-tomcatd@.service reads /etc/default/tomcat8 but package depends on tomcat7-user

2015-09-30 Thread Diane Trout
Package: pki-server

Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I was attempting to test freeipa in a VM that was upgraded from jessie to
testing. On boot systemd was reporting that pki-tomcatd@pki-tomcat.service
was failing to start I found:

[Service]
EnvironmentFile=/etc/default/tomcat8

In /lib/systemd/system/pki-tomcat@.service, but that file wasn't around
until I installed tomcat8.

Probably either the service file or the list of dependencies needs to be
updated.

Bug#796345: Status report on perl 5.22 transition readiness (30th Sept)

2015-09-30 Thread Dominic Hargreaves
Hello all,

Here is a quick update on progress since my last update on 7th Sept:

The current stats for this transition are as follows:

* Number of binNMUs needed: 570[1] (was 571)
* Number of arch:any packages which FTBFS with perl 5.22: 7 (was 8)
   * 1 fix pending; 6 needing more work or removal.
   * libapache2-mod-perl2 remains problematic, but there has been
 some progress in upstream svn.
 * Removing it temporarily appears to be an option. I suspect
that upstream will be able to work on it again after the
   release of perl 5.22.1
   * we have agreed to not support libcoro-perl with perl 5.22[2]
   * libdata-dump-streamer-perl, libb-hooks-op-check-entersubforcv-perl,
 libdata-alias-perl and libdevel-findref-perl all need investigation;
no activity upstream. Probably libdata-dump-streamer-perl has the
 biggest impact
* Number of arch:all packages which FTBFS with perl 5.22: 9
(was 19)[3], with uploads pending for 2 of those
   * needing work: libdebug-client-perl, padre, libpoe-api-peek-perl,
libtest-checkchanges-perl, mysql-5.5 (but this is an apparently
 abandoned variant), libb-lint-perl, libmodule-info-perl

I'm continuing rebuilds of arch:any packages which depend on perlapi-*
or libperl* daily, so the test repository[4] remains almost up-to-date
with the archive. Problem reports welcome (to me), and of course further
testing (in a controlled, development environment) of packages you use is
welcome.

Niko pointed out that some upgrade testing would not go amiss, so that
is a discrete task for anyone who is interested.

perl in experimental has had some minor fixes in 5.22.0-4 and there
is one more minor change queued in git.

5.22.1 is starting to happen upstream[5] so there is an ongoing task
to track that and possibly update our package; but this doesn't need
to be entangled with the transition.

The proposed change to policy has now been updated and is ready to file
against debian-policy at the time of the transition[6].

Release team: can we upgrade the FTBFS bugs to RC now so they get
a bit more attention, and do you have a feeling for when you might
be ready for the perl transition?

Cheers,
Dominic (for the perl and pkg-perl teams)

Bug#800551: nqp: add arm64 support

2015-09-30 Thread Edmund Grimley Evans
Source: nqp
Version: 2014.07-3

For arm64 it seems to be more a matter of updating the bundled copy of
dyncall than the nqp package itself:

dpkg-source -x nqp_2014.07-3.dsc
cd nqp-2014.07/3rdparty/
rm -r dyncall/
hg clone http://hg.dyncall.org/pub/dyncall/dyncall
cd ..
perl -i -pe 's/armel/arm64 armel/;' debian/control
fakeroot debian/rules binary
# it stops with "error: no previous prototype"
perl -i -pe 's/ -Werror=\S+/ /g;' Makefile
fakeroot debian/rules binary
# "All tests successful."

As you can see, there was a slight problem with warnings being treated
as errors, but I expect it's easy to fix.

This should identify the snapshot of dyncall I was using:

Here is what's happening: curl tries to negotiate HTTP/2 during the TLS
handshake using the ALPN extension, but the server doesn't support ALPN (e.g.
OpenSSL in jessie doesn't support it) and instead supports the older NPN
extension (which is deprecated, but still in use).

The problem being that curl in sid uses GnuTLS which *only* supports ALPN and
not NPN, so the client and the server can't negotiate HTTP/2 and fallback to
HTTP/1.1.

It's not really a curl bug, though if curl used OpenSSL (in sid) instead of
GnuTLS this would work. TBH I'm not really inclined to switch back to OpenSSL
for this problem alone (mostly because the intention is to, at some point,
completely drop curl's non-GnuTLS backends from Debian and because NPN is
deprecated), but I can't exclude it completely either.

nghttp2 could implement support for ALPN on its own if it detects that the used
OpenSSL version doesn't support it, but it's probably overkill...

Cheers

Bug#800555: keychain: the addition of --systemd b0rked keychain --help

2015-09-30 Thread Rhonda D'Vine
Package: keychain
Version: 2.8.1-0.1
Severity: minor

Hi!

The addition of --systemd to the keychain --help output b0rked it. It
was placed in the middle of the help for --stop, which makes the end of
the first paragraph of the --stop output pretty confusing.

(Also, the NMU upload probably shouldn't have been a native package.
Or contain a .deb in the source package. It looks like halfway through
some sort-of build process)

 So long,

Indeed, -v shows quite well that it works.

My nghttpx config is:

frontend=*,3000
backend=127.0.0.1,9080
private-key-file=/etc/nginx/ssl/server.key
certificate-file=/etc/nginx/ssl/server.crt

Maybe it is a problem with nghttpx, actually.

As a data point, there are a few CPAN tester failures with the same
failure, but they seem to be very rare.

Thank you for this analysis. TBH, I'm not very interested in using
curl that way, I simply noticed that it doesn't work. It's simply an
unfortunate mix of TLS extensions that causes problems.

I think that it is not worth taking care of unless more people
complain.

I confirm it fixes the issues seen on ffmpeg, and I guess it might fix
some other issues as well like the protobuf FTBFS. Everything has been
committed in the SVN, so it will be in the next upload.

I'm orphaning the 9base package, because I do not use it, and do not

The default behavior for any kind of file, no matter if addressed locally or
remotely, is to open it with the program associated with the type.
E.g. as Martin already said, opening an image in the configured image viewer.

It is possible to override this for http and https URLs and have them always
open in a web browser.

Bug#798625: systemd-networkd: Runs arbitrary inappropriate scripts on network changes

Control: tag -1 pending

Hello all,

as discussed, I reverted the if-*.d/ calling in git now. I replaced it
with a focussed (although admittedly a bit hackish) helper unit to
update resolvconf from networkd for now, and this will be completely
inert if you don't use resolvconf.

If you don't want this in Debian either, I'm also happy with keeping
this in the Ubuntu branch only.

Thanks,

Still don't understand, in which I am right? Don't get me wrong, I
love being right :-) , but it was a yes/no question, not an opinion or
assertion.

I want to know the exact commands were issued and which worked and
which don't, because if "purge && install" actually don't get to
complain but "upgrade" never works, it's a very nice clue to try to
see what's done different in the code paths of upgrades vs fresh
("fresh") installs. If all actions fail, either they use the same
code path for that part of selecting packages/versions to upgrade, or
both code paths are wrong.

(Yes, I know that I could try to reproduce the situation locally; but
still I only have one system available to test this, still entangled
with gcc-5 and KDE transitions; and I can only juggle so many things
at once -- I am already trying to address several problems/bugs in
aptitude simultaneously. So if the problem is not reproduced
accurately now, and cannot attend the bug until it's too late --maybe
the situation is solved by changes in package deps--, valuable
information is lost).

Cheers.

libreoffice build-depends on libvigraimpex-dev but doesn't depend on the shared
library. Any idea why it build-deps on it? Cc'ing Rene. Apparently we won't need
to rebuild it.

The rest looks good. You can go ahead with an upload to unstable.

Use inotify on the cache directory? But in any case, this is problematic
and could probably be fixed by adding some new interfaces to APT (so we
can open fds when opening the cache, and fail if the files are not
present there - and if they are present, pass those fds to the
PackageRecords - this would make things race-free).

I'll look more closely at this later.

Bug#800514: Alternate upstream

2015-09-30 Thread Yuri D'Elia
Package: screenkey
Severity: wishlist

Hi, I've been using screenkey for teaching, and ended up rewriting large chunks
of it due to several outstanding bugs in the original version.

I believe this fork:

https://github.com/wavexx/screenkey

fixes debian's #782006 and #749029, along with most other known screenkey bugs
filed in launchpad.

If would be nice if this version was used in the debian packaging, or at least
one of the alternate forks, since the original version is officially no longer
maintained and these bugs will never be fixed.

Thanks.

Bug#800512: liblocale-gettext-perl: Failed to install with perl-base from experimental

2015-09-30 Thread Matúš Olekšák
Package: liblocale-gettext-perl
Version: 1.07-1
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,
I was trying to install nvidia-driver from experimental repository but it
failed because of dependencies. I was following dependencies, until I
realized that the problem has something to do with package
liblocale-gettext-perl and its dependency perlapi-5.20.2. Apt failed
because I already had perl 5.22. So if you remove perlapi-5.20.2 from
dependency and just leave perl-base it will work out-of-box without
downgrading perl-base, which I had to do. Because perlapi-5.20.2 is just
virtual package provided by perl-base, which is already marked as
dependency.

The flash player plugin prints that message, not webkit.
