Bug#926726: reportbug-gtk: On first run, reportbug-gtk quits before reporting a bug
Package: reportbug-gtk Version: 7.5.2 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, The application exits before capturing a bug report after setting configuration values during the first run of reportbug-gtk (on a fresh Debian Buster install). For a user reporting their first Debian bug, this would be very discouraging. I suggest capturing the bug report first and only asking user details and configuration questions later in the process. Bug#926725: eric: No source code documentation provider
Package: eric Version: 19.02.1+ds1-1 Severity: normal On a new installation (Debian Buster), the Code Documentation Viewer window shows an error message: "No source code documentation provider has been registered" Looking through the settings, it seems all the paths to Python documentation are correct (and the paths contain html files.) I tried installing QT Assistant (package qt5-assistant) and re-starting Eric. I tried using the Plugin Repository to download and install the "Documentation Set, Python 3.5.2" but that also made no difference. Please can you advise how to enable the Code Documentation Viewer? Bug#895932: [thunderbird] Configured font size ignored for Multipart messages
Dear Carsten On 17/04/18 16:49, Carsten Schoenert wrote: care to push this upstream? It would ne nice if you can create a entry in the bugzilla issue tracker from Mozilla and provide back the URL for the bug report? Thanks! Upstream bug reference: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1447408 It appears this is not a bug, just a complicated font-setting dialog. UTF-8 messages are shown in a different font to ISO-8859-1/us-ascii messages. For the benefit of anyone else coming across this - the solution is to change the font for the 'Latin' option, and then choose the 'Other Writing systems' and change the font again. I'd recommend closing this bug - the redesign of the dialog will be a whole new bug report. -Kevin

Bug#757600: xarchiver: Overwrites existing files without warning
On 09/08/14 19:26, Markus Koschany wrote: That's not what I see when I create a tar.gz archive and extract those files again. If the overwrite existing files option is cleared and I try to overwrite existing files, a small window with a warning will pop up. Please attach a simple test case and describe step-by-step what has to be done to reproduce this issue. The archive I noticed the error on was a simple .gz file, not a .tar.gz. I've attached a small example which demonstrates the problem: 1. Extract Packages.gz using Xarchiver, creating a file 'Packages' in the same directory. 2. Modify the Packages file to make changes obvious by running echo CHANGED Packages 3. Run Xarchiver again, click extract files, leave the 'Overwrite existing files' option clear, then click the Extract button. 4. The 'Packages' file is overwritten without warning. [While preparing this, I also noticed that the 'Extract' options become disabled if you cancel the extract dialog. I can submit a separate bug for this.] -Kevin Packages.gz Description: GNU Zip compressed data
Bug#757129: telepathy-salut: Fails to send message on IPv6-only system
Package: telepathy-salut Version: 0.8.1-1 Severity: important Tags: ipv6 On a fresh Debian 7.6 install on a mesh network with only IPv6 link-local addressing, the Empathy app fails to send messages to other contacts advertising IPv6 link-local addresses. I uninstalled telepathy-gabble and telepathy-haze to be sure the system wasn't using those transports. If the remote contact initiates the connection, I can reply. I've rated the severity 'important' because even with two dual-stack systems, the IPv6 transport is sometimes chosen, making communication impossible. -Kevin -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
