Urgh, just got a half working X.org env.
Still skewed, but slightly workable.
Thanks for your patience. Off to work now.

going to increase pretty soon beyond the troublesome case.

Thank you for that tip, Julian. Seems like I forgot to add a 0 in
 the ISO date.

I will use version 0.9.9+release-1 for now, and then use 1.0.0
with pre or rc when biblatex is also upgraded.

If you want to do that, remember to use the ~ syntax: 1.0.0~pre1-1

 version number!

I am behind schedule because the X.org upgrade has broken some stuff after the

I will try to fix this after work and upload the new biber package.

Hi

I am currently in Beijing but return home this Sunday.
I think downgrading biber is the best option.

If that is too late, I am open to support a NMU.

 Package: biber

 Severity: grave
 Justification: renders package unusable

 Dear all,

 Overview

With the current Sid situation (even close to release) we have a
conflict between the versions of biber and biblatex. Both come from
the same upstream author but are handled by different Debian Teams and
maintainers (Perl and Tex teams respectively).

Fortunately, the situation is easy to fix by either downgrading biber
package version (to the latest official 0.9.9 version) or upgrading
biblatex to the 2.0 beta version. I have tested both scenarios and
 both of them work fine.

 How to reproduce the bug

In the current Sid scenario take a latex-biber document and perform:

 pdflatex file.tex
 biber file
 pdflatex file.tex

and you will obtain the following error at the 2nd latex invocation:

 ! Undefined control sequence.
 l.22 \sortlist
  {entry}{}

(besides you also obtained warnings like this

Use of uninitialized value $llabel in concatenation (.) or string at
 /usr/share/perl5/Biber.pm

in the biber invocation).

Further evidence that this is a version conflict

 * Using biber --version reports 1.0 (beta), and going to the
upstream site it says that biber 1.0 version requires biblatex
beta version as well.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/biblatex-biber/files/

 * The \sortlist undefined control sequence is reported to be a
symptom of this version incompatibility.

 Possible solutions
 --

I propose two scenarios (to be discuseed with upstream author between
the Perl and Tex Debian teams):

 A) Beta versions in Sid:
- Package the biblatex 2.0 beta in Sid replacing the 1.7.1 version.

 B) Official versions in Sid, beta versions in experimental.

Move this biber version 0.9.9+git2012426-3 to experimental and
downgrade the biber Sid version to 0.9.9 from either sourceforge
or upstream git repository using the v0.9.9 tag.

Optionally package biblatex 2.0beta in experimental.

Bug#579321: Some HLaTeX font references used by CJK are not available in ko.tex anymore

Package: latex-cjk-korean

Report:

Not every Korean font style used in the CJK package is
available in the ko.tex font packages. This requires
some changes in the font definition files in
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/CJK/KS/HLaTeX/, and these
changes are preferably also applied upstream.

Note to self: check kotex_list2 for a list of available
font styles provided by the ko.tex font packages.

Hi Norbert!

Op 10-06-08 12:19, schreef Norbert Preining:

since these two RC bugs are open since quite some time I took the
 liberty to prepare an NMU.

It basically takes the patch for parallel build fix from the bug log,
and for the other includes the SFD files simply into debian/sfd, so no
 build-dependency over freetype1-tools.

I have built the packages without any problems (but the time ;-) and did
install and did also some test runs.

Oops, stop the presses! (Heheh.)

There is a problem with the GSUB part of the simplified Chinese fonts.

This is what I get in my own logs:

  fontforge -script vertical.pe gbsn00lp.ttf gbsnuv
Copyright (c) 2000-2008 by George Williams.
Executable based on sources from 16:34 GMT 30-Mar-2008.
Library based on sources from 15:57 GMT 30-Mar-2008.
  Loading gbsn00lp.ttf...
Bad lookup table: format=6, first=65535 total glyphs in font=7764
No vertical glyph representation forms found.

Check Werner Lemberg's postings a few months ago, and see what the problem
was with Arphic's GSUB tables (does it even contain them?).

I haven't yet figured out how to deal with this; the only quick solution is
to provide the files myself, but then that's cheating, and then I could
just try to get the fonts from TeXlive instead of bothering to compile the
fonts.

Without the gbsnuv* and gkaiuv* files, vertical rotation doesn't work.

I don't see a problem with resepct to kpathsea/dh_installtex as you
mentioned it in the one bug log.

I attach the debdiff of the current package to the one I plan to upload.
Note that the debdiff does NOT (!!!) contain the sfd files, I removed
that, since otherwise the diff would be so big.

Please give your remarks, otherwise I plan to upload this package to the
N-DELAYED queue (I still have to check which one it should got to for RC
 bugs).

Is it possible to add the .sfd in a texlive-* package? It's included in
TeXlive upstream (http://tug.org/svn/texlive/trunk/Master/texmf/fonts/sfd/).

The patch won't help; CJK *really* needs these .sfd files. That is a
conditio sine qua non to get extra fonts working with CJK.

If you say so, I trust it is true. But funny thing is those people who
is pushing FT2 transition did NMU with success. I see PS/PDF files OK.

(I do not know .sfd files... is this Spline Font Database? In what
process these are used? What happens without it?)

.sfd files are subfont definition files and are stored on
$TEXMF(LOCAL)/fonts/sfd/. They contain the code ranges of CJK encodings such
as Big5, JIS X 0208, Unicode, DNP, etc.

You need these .sfd files when you wish to convert (CJK) TrueType fonts to
either TFM/PK or to PFA/PFB fonts. Hence the Build-Depends for
latex-cjk-chinese-arphic and -japanese-wadalab.

Serious users of CJK need the .sfd files if they wish to get their own fonts
working with CJK. They will also need the ttf2* binaries if they do it the
old but fast way (the new way uses Fontforge scripts, but takes a long
time and you still need the .sfd files; ask my sponsors Frank and Norbert ;))).

So if you don't mind, I will downgrade the severity of this bug to
wishlist, and remove the patch tag.

 Please from me.

Ok.

P.S.: as for DDP, I'm currently testing xCJK, which will be included in
a next upload of latex-cjk-*, which has XeLaTeX support. It supports
TTF directly, so you won't have any of these font problems anymore. I'm
trying out several DFSG-free fonts now, to see which ones are good
 enough to recommend.

I have updated debiandoc-sgml to support UTF-8 as long as we get proper
LaTex header files for each languages. HTML and Plain text are fully
 functional.

Ok. After xCJK is proved to work correctly for everyone on Debian, I'll
submit a few changes to get Korean working again.

One thing I worry is ghostscript for CJK. Does it require presense of
CID font support data which is non-free?

No, I don't think so. xCJK can embed the Type1 subfonts in the PDF or PS
files, and haven't noticed any CID requirement.

Best regards

Werner Lemberg is both the upstream author of FT1 and FT2, if I'm not
mistaken. I don't think he or someone else of the FT team ever created a
similar tool using FT2.

And I don't see the problem with FT1 still available in the repository. It
doesn't break anything.

Best regards :)

Bug#481792: latex-cjk-chinese-arphic: freetype1 deprecation

freetype1-tools ships quite some interesting and usefull stuff, esp. all
the ttf2XXX stuff. Why do you actually want to remove them without a
 proper replacement?

I agree. For CJK, the .sfd are the most important files.

There are also the ttf2* packages as you mention. A tool like ttf2tfm is
used in quite a lot of scripts. It is extremely fast to handle TrueType
fonts, but it will produce only subfonts of mediocre quality (and it will
create PK fonts every time you use a glyph from a yet unused table of the
TTF, littering your ~/.texmf/ directory).

Although I strongly promote the use of Fontforge (or XeLaTeX, that I have
recently discovered), I would still suggest to keep the freetype1-tools
package for people who use some of the HOWTO's or scripts found on several
CJK websites (such as the script by Edward Lee).

Removing freetype1-tools wouldn't be a very great loss for me personally as a
packager or user, but it might be for quite a lot of users.

freetype1 has been in oldlibs for Etch, it has very few reverse deps
left and we'll try to phase it out now.

Please adapt your package, so that it links against the regular freetype
 package.

That will be difficult: CJK really depends on the subfont definition files
(.sfd) that are provided with freetype1-tools.

If you or anyone else could provide it in another Debian package, then I am
most happy to oblige to your request.

@Norbert/Frank: these files are apparently provided with TeXlive (see [1]).
Could they be added in one of the texlive-* packges, so I don't have to
depend on freetype1-tools anymore?

 I've installed iceowl-extension (0.8-2) from incoming.debian.org, but
Provider for Google Calender still doesn't work after upgrading to version
 0.4.
Could there be a problem with the name change on Debian (id est
 Lightning/Sunbird - iceowl-extension/iceowl)? Because on Windows 2000 it
 works like a charm.

Could give me instructins how exactly you set this calendars
 subscription up?

If you have a GMail account, open it through webmail and go to the Agenda.
Now you go to the settings of one of your calendars (create one if you
haven't yet), and at the bottom of the page you'll notice XML, ICAL and
HTML twice. Hover over the second XML instance and copy the location of
that link.

When Provider for Google Calender is installed, you'll have to possibility
to add this long XML link to a network calendar.

The link is supposed to be private, so you can't publish it just on any website.

Could you also verify that iceowl itself
(vs. iceowl-extension for icedove) has the same problem?

I have installed iceowl and opened it under the same username. Strangely
enough it works! And the error console remains empty.

So it seems to be only applicable to iceowl-extension anymore, if we're
talking about the same bug from the original poster anyway.

So I'm trying to solve this issue before I can upload a new version, with

Bug#462025: latex-cjk-korean: uses deprecated HLaTeX fonts

2008-03-08 Thread Danai SAE-HAN (韓達耐)
Hi!

Op 20-02-08 21:51, schreef Dohyun Kim:

latex-cjk-korean, newly migrated to testing, recommends ko.tex-extra-hlfont
package which regrettably contains fonts rarely used in Korea.
Instead, ko.tex-base package has Myoungjo, the standard Hangul font family.
Though the package name ko.tex-base does not give any hint related to fonts,
it is actually ko.tex-fonts-base which has succeeded hlatex-fonts-base.

So, recommendation by latex-cjk-korean should be changed to ko.tex-base.

CJK provides font maps for all of the HLaTeX fonts, including dinaru and
pilgia from ko.tex-extra-hlfonts and bom, gungseo, jamobatang, jamodotum,
jamonovel, jamosora, pen, penheulim, pilgi, shinmun and yetgul from
ko.tex-extra.

I didn't check the package dependencies thoroughly; you're absolutely right.

So there are two options:
A) either I let latex-cjk-korean depend on ko.tex-base, ko.tex-extra and
ko.tex-extra-hlfonts;
B) or I split latex-cjk-korean into three, and let them each depend on the
respective font package.

Even though I think that option B is preferable (one of the reasons that you
don't have to install every large font package), I don't have much time right
now. So in the meantime I'll go for option A.

Unlike the deprecated hlatex-fonts-base, however, ko.tex-base doesn't provide
x, ux, bx, ubx series fonts. Good news is that we Koreans normally do not use
these series. So I propose modification of font definition files to
deal with this discrepancy. As an example, I modified c{63,64,64,70}mj.fd
 files and uploaded
 to my personal server:

 http://people.ktug.or.kr/~nomos/mine/c63mj.fd
 http://people.ktug.or.kr/~nomos/mine/c64mj.fd
 http://people.ktug.or.kr/~nomos/mine/c65mj.fd
 http://people.ktug.or.kr/~nomos/mine/c70mj.fd

(wmj*.tfm files in c{63,64,65}mj.fd are actually virtual fonts
pointing to outbtm*.tfm files indicated in c70mj.fd.)

I hope the rest of Korean font definition files be modified soon.
If you need any help, please let me know.

That is an excellent idea! Could you post this solution to [EMAIL PROTECTED],
which is the CJK mailing list? I'm sure that Werner Lemberg, the author, and
the other package maintainers will be interested in this!

Best regards, and thanks for your valuable information!

Bug#458740: latex-cjk-chinese-arphic: please support parallel builds

2008-01-03 Thread Danai SAE-HAN (韓達耐)
Hi!

I have found the bug with debian/control.

The latex-cjk-chinese-arphic source builds four font packages. My
predecessor had an inventive way to create several files completely
automatically, hence the *.in files and the pattern substitution hocus pocus
in debian/rules. This should be a piece of cake for others to build their
own font packages for Debian, using only rules and *.in.

During the clean: phase, the pre-clean and $(clean_fonts) targets are
run first. pre-clean looks okay, since the debian/control file only has the
Source stanza.

Then $(clean_fonts) is run. This is a mix of:
 a) fonts = bsmi bkai gbsn gkai
 b) clean_fonts = $(addprefix clean_,$(fonts))
 c) $(clean_fonts): abbrev = $(patsubst clean_%,%,$@)
$(clean_fonts): DH_OPTIONS = -p$(bin-package) -P$(d)
$(clean_fonts):
[commands to add the binary packages automatically to debian/control]

My guess is that DH_OPTIONS is to blame: the new parallel option in
Debhelper has now been removed and totally replaced with my own -p and -P
options.

Could you please try the following thing: instead of
  DH_OPTIONS = -p$(bin-package) -P$(d)
replace it with
  DH_OPTIONS = $(DH_OPTIONS) -p$(bin-package) -P$(d)
in the $(clean_fonts), $(install_fonts) and $(binary_fonts) targets?

I think this is the root of the problem, so if you would be so kind to test
this for me, please?

As far as Wadalab is concerned [1], I'm not sure why debian/rules fails to
work after a simple cd command. It looks like the clean target is run
again after building; weird. I'll look at it later.

Best regards

Nevermind, $(DH_OPTIONS) is not a good idea; debuild complains.

I'm now rebuilding the package with MY_DH_OPTIONS instead of DH_OPTIONS.

It would be great if latex-cjk-chinese-arphic could support parallel

Cool! Thanks; that would indeed make life a *lot* easier for the builders.

The following patch should be enough. With it, could complete the
install target in less than 4 hours. However, something broke during
the binary target, but I'm suspecting that it's unrelated, and caused by
some control file magic I didn't understand.

I'll check it out. I will upload a new version at the end of January of all
of the latex-cjk-* packages, so this patch should be included by then.

Cheers!

I would advise you to directly install some of the TeXlive packages, which

Here's what I did to solve it.

I ran mysqld --skip-grant as root, then I logged in with mysql without any
password as user root.

Then I ran repair table [bla] use_frm; where [bla] represents all the names
of the tables that I found in /var/lib/mysql/mysql/ (without the suffix, of
course). Now my mysql users had gone, but at least mysqld starts again.

Now I had to recreate two users in my database (root with supercow powers and
a regular user), and then ran dpkg-reconfigure mysql-server-5.0 to configure
the debian-sys-maint user.

Bug#411672: mysql-server-5.0: Incorrect file format 'host'

have you tried manually running mysql_fix_privilege_tables ?

Indeed I have, but it can't connect to /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock because I
can't start mysqld. :/

I think most tools to fix tables require mysqld to run, so I'm in a pretty
difficult situation.

Here's the content of /var/lib/mysql/mysql:

Bug#411672: mysql-server-5.0: Incorrect file format 'host'

2007-07-05 Thread Danai SAE-HAN (韓達耐)
Hi!

I'm still having this bug, so I can't use mysqld at all.

I have no /var/lib/mysql/host* files.
You will find my my.cnf configuration file attached to this email, but I don't
think there will be much shocking in it.

Isn't there some tool with which I could fix this host privilege table?

Best regards

Bug#431038: latex-cjk-japanese: c40song.fd is not included

2007-06-29 Thread Danai SAE-HAN (韓達耐)
Hi Francis!

On 29-06-07 07:10, Francis Bond wrote:

the default encoding. For example, if I make a small file

and run it from emacs using CJK-LaTeX, then I get the following error:

If I put c40song.fd in my path, then everything works fine.

Could you please add c40song.fd (and probably c41,2,3,4song.fd) to the
 package?

Aaah, I suggest you install latex-cjk-japanese-wadalab. This is only
recommended by latex-cjk-japanese, not a hard dependency, because not all
people want the Wadalab fonts installed extra, since they have their own fonts.

The Wadalab fonts come with c42 and c52 font definition files. What you are
referring to are c40 font definition files, and are called because you use the
song font, a default name for many scripts in the CJK macro. c40, c41 and
c50 point to HBF fonts, these are ugly bitmap fonts. I haven't had time yet
to package them, but I would advise not to use these fonts, but stick to the
much more beautiful Wadalab Type1 fonts, which are not jagged unlike the HBF.

If you really want, you can install the hbf-* packages and copy the .fd files
from
http://git.sv.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=cjk.git;a=tree;f=texinput/JIS;h=47faf731af28e7c2bbb5ebdcb763ef138fa17f00;hb=HEAD
in /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/CJK/JIS/ and run texhash as root to let TeX
know about the existance of the new files.

I'm not the maintainer of the hbf-* font packages, but I do intend to take
over from the original packager when I have found the time to make some
drastic (internal) changes. The reason I do not include the .fd files in any
of the base latex-cjk-* packages is to avoid unnecessary clobber: the base
packages don't include fonts (except for -thai), so it shouldn't provide the
.fd file at all. That is on my TODO list for the hbf-* packages, hopefully
for August when I should have more time.

I would be inclined to depend on the Wadalab fonts since 99% of the people
need it, but there is this 1% that doesn't want it. And for them an 18MB
large Debian package can be considered huge bloat.

I'm not sure which package installer you use, but I would thoroughly recommend
aptitude, which takes care of recommended packages elegantly (press 'M' to
fine-tune your own dependencies). aptitude will show
latex-cjk-japanese-wadalab as a recommended package, and it is advised to
install this package. I hope the package description of latex-cjk-japanese is
clear enough about this.

BTW, I am actually running ubuntu, but the problem seems to also exist
in debian, so I am filing the bug here.

Thank you for your bug report in Debian. It makes life much easier for me as
a maintainer to manage the bugs via one single Debian Bug Tracking System.

Best regards

How curious. texlive-extra-utils is in the Build-Dependencies list.
It has been checked by me in pbuilder, and by Norbert Preining in cowbuilder.

And according to the Debian package website, ctangle is also included in
texlive-extra-utils on the s390 architecture.

Are you sure that texlive-extra-utils is properly installed?

 No, it is not:
 | Build-Depends: debhelper (= 5), dpatch (= 2.0.14)
 | Build-Depends-Indep: libkpathsea-dev, texlive-base-bin,
 texlive-extra-utils, texlive-font-utils, sharutils, perl-base (= 5.8.0)

Build-Depends-Indep is not fullfiled by the autobuilders.

I see, so the only thing that should be done, is to move texlive-extra-utils
to Build-Depends?

I understood from a recent mailing thread that it had something to do with
dh_clean. But apparently my first guess was correct, i.e. that packages in
B-D-I are there for operations that are architecture-independent, and B-D for
packages with tools that process architecture-dependent files?

In casu ctangle (also) produces a compiled binary. Therefore
texlive-extra-utils needs to be in B-D.

I'll upload a new version to my mentor today.

Thanks for your report!

put *.afm, *.pfb and *.tfm to

Indeed, thanks for pointing this out!

 2. texhash and update-updmap, updmap-sys should be run by root

I'll add this to the text.

 3. update-updmap would require an option, '--conf-dir /etc/texmf/udpmap.d'

You can also run update-updmap without option. By default, update-updmap is
run with --conf-dir=TEXMFCONFIG/updmap.d . As root, this defaults to
/etc/texmf/updmap.d/, whereas with other users this is in ~/.texmf-config.

But I'll mention the directory, just to make sure. =)

Thanks for the tips! I hope to upload a new version of CJK in a week or so.

Bug#414373: sysv-rc-bootsplash: Unclean patching of /etc/init.d/rc

Which version of sysv-rc have you install? Is /etc/init.d/rc the
pristine file that comes with sysv-rc or as it been modified?

sysvinit (2.86.ds1-38)

My /etc/init.d/rc file dates from 18 February 2007, and was modified by
bootsplash.

When I tried to purge the package, I got only 1 hunk that failed.
Hunk #5 FAILED at 183.

You may want to have a look to the

 /var/lib/dpkg/info/sysv-rc-bootsplash.config
 /var/lib/dpkg/info/sysv-rc-bootsplash.postinst

 files.

Thanks. I did the following things to safely purge the package:

$ cd /etc/init.d/
$ cp rc.orig rc
$ cp rc rc.bootsplash
$ patch -p0  rc-bootsplash.patch
$ apt-get --purge remove sysv-rc-bootsplash

For some strange reason it works now.

To be double sure, I reinstalled sysv-rc.

For some reason, the reject file had problems around line 183 (or 190):

  *)
startup_progress $debug $script $action
;;
esac

I added and removed a few lines, but to no avail. Oh well, it works
now, so I'm more than happy. I guess you could close this bug.

Other people with similar problems could try out the aforementioned
commands, and see if it helps. =)

Cheers

Bug#410167: gedit: Gedit crashes when viewing source of web page with Epiphany

2007-06-02 Thread Danai SAE-HAN (韓達耐)
This strange bug still exists in libpango1.0 (1.16.4-1).

I find it strange, because every program that depends on pango crashes when a
(Chinese) font has its chmod set to go-r: gedit, icedove, etc.

I don't actually use the Thai IM (but it is installed nonetheless, although it
is said to be broken, even after so many years).

Here's how I can reproduce the bug:

Extract the two TTF from the .exe file at http://okuc.net/sunwb/
I've also put them here temporarily:
- http://users.edpnet.be/vanmeel/Sun-ExtB.ttf

Put them in /usr/local/share/fonts/truetype/sunext/ and chmod go-r both files.
Run a Gnome program as root (such as Firestarter), in order to create cache
files in /var/cache/fontconfig/.

Open any program as a regular user, and open the attached .html file. It will
crash eventually.

The reason that it crashes, is that the file contains exotic characters only
found in the SunExt fonts (unless you have a plethora of fonts installed on
your computer, that is).

chmod go+r SunExtA.ttf, and the crash won't happen anymore.

Using a Gnome program under root will be no problem: it opens just fine, even
if I set the chmod to u-r.

I remember that this bug has existed for years now.

If you need any more logs, I'm happy to oblige (but I'm a bit busy now, so it
could take a few days to respond).

Best wishes

Bug#414373: sysv-rc-bootsplash: Unclean patching of /etc/init.d/rc

2007-05-27 Thread Danai SAE-HAN (韓達耐)
Hi!

It's been over two months, and I still can't figure out what exactly is
happening here.

I still get the following error:

Instellen van sysv-rc-bootsplash (1.0.5-4) ...

6 out of 8 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file /etc/init.d/rc.rej
Patches would not apply cleanly.
dpkg: fout bij afhandelen van sysv-rc-bootsplash (--configure):

And when I try to remove it, I get:

# dpkg -r sysv-rc-bootsplash
(Database inlezen ... 255392 bestanden en mappen geïnstalleerd.)
sysv-rc-bootsplash wordt verwijderd ...
Testing if patches remove cleanly...
1 out of 8 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file /etc/init.d/rc.rej
Patches would not removed cleanly.
dpkg: fout bij afhandelen van sysv-rc-bootsplash (--remove):

Fouten gevonden tijdens behandelen van:

Could you please provide me some more information about what
sysv-rc-bootsplash is *exactly* patching? That way I could figure out
why it botches.

Best regards

Bug#398775: latex-cjk-common: postrm fails: /var/lib/dpkg/info/latex-cjk-common.postrm: line 9: /usr/bin/kpsewhich: No such file or directory

2006-11-15 Thread danai . sae-han
Hi!

From: Lucas Nussbaum [EMAIL PROTECTED]

 Package: latex-cjk-common
 Version: 4.7.0+cvs20061019-1
 Severity: serious
 Usertags: grid5000

During a piuparts run over all the packages in etch, I ran
into a problem with your package:
   Removing latex-cjk-common ...
Purging configuration files for latex-cjk-common ...
   /var/lib/dpkg/info/latex-cjk-common.postrm: line 9:
/usr/bin/kpsewhich: No such file or directory

subprocess post-removal script returned error exit
 status 1

/usr/bin/kpsewhich is not garanteed to be isntalled during
 postrm purge. (Same with /usr/bin/mktexlsr).

I remember that there was a discussion on the Debain TeX
mailing list about postrm. It could be a problem similar to
one described in bug#392359.

Tonight, at home, I'll rebuild the cjk package without
mktexlsr in postrm but with dh_installtex without comments
in debian/rules.

Bug#393180: Uninstallable due to unmet dep on latex-cjk-chinese-arphic-*

2006-10-15 Thread danai . sae-han
Hi!

 Package: latex-cjk-chinese
 Severity: serious
 Version: 4.6.0+cvs20060714-2

Your package is not installable as it depends on
 latex-cjk-chinese-arphic-bsmi00lp,
 latex-cjk-chinese-arphic-bkai00mp,
 latex-cjk-chinese-arphic-gbsn00lp and
 latex-cjk-chinese-arphic-gkai00mp which are not yet
 available in unstable.

Sorry, I forgot to include the Arphic Public License in
debian/copyright.
Last week I sent another version to my sponsor (Frank
Kuester), and it appears to have
reached Debian/unstable now.

I can't check the packages now yet, because my computer just
died.
I'll get back to you ASAP. =)

Bug#392982: latex-cjk-common: package failed to install

2006-10-15 Thread danai . sae-han
Hi!

Package failed to install. Here's the error message
 dpkg: error processing
 /var/cache/apt/archives/latex-cjk-common_4.6.0+cvs20060714
 -2_i386.deb (--unpack):
  trying to overwrite
 `/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/CJK/standard.bdg', which is
 also in package latex-cjk

Did you install an earlier version of latex-cjk before?
(For example from apt-get.org or Debian mentors?)

latex-cjk used to be one package which contained
everything.

The name latex-cjk is now a virtual package which will
install *all* other subpackages. These subpackages
are: latex-cjk- chinese, japanese, korean, thai, common.

If this is indeed the problem, then I will upload a new
version ASAP that will conflict with earlier versions
of latex-cjk.

I can't currently check out my own packages because of a
broken computer. :-/

I hope this helps.

Doh! Sorry, I forgot that I removed the name latex-cjk.

So, in fact there is no latex-cjk package anymore; it's
been renamed to
latex-cjk-all, which is now a virtual package.

I will upload a new version with an added conflict ASAP.

Bug#393222: latex-cjk-all: Misprint in package description: latex-cjk-base

2006-10-15 Thread danai . sae-han
Hi!

The description of the package says See the
latex-cjk-base package for a detailed description.
However, that package does not exists.

Since other packages latex-cjk-* refer to latex-cjk-common
, I guess this is a misprint: latex-cjk-base should be
 replaced with latex-cjk-common.

Indeed! Thanks for your report. I will upload a new

Bug#342842: Update of cjk-latex (now latex-cjk)

2006-01-07 Thread Danai SAE-HAN (?????????)
Package: cjk-latex
Followup-For: Bug #342842

Hi!

I am currently in the process of taking over the cjk-latex package.
I've renamed it latex-cjk (in accordance with other LaTeX packages'
names in Debian like latex-beamer and latex-ucs).

I have a repository at http://chinese.alioth.debian.org/latex-cjk/

It's been updated to 4.6.0 and a *lot* of modifications, Debian-wise
(like proper installation for Emacs Lisp files, updating the font
creation with Fontforge, proper Depends and Build-Depends, splitting
into different subpackages, etc.).

I would be most grateful if you could try the packages and see if it
works for you. One remarkt though: HBF fonts don't work yet, because
I have yet to repackage the hbf-* packages and include the font defintion
files there.

Kind regards

Bug#291202: hplip_toolbox depends on python-kde3

2005-01-19 Thread Danai SAE-HAN ()
Package: hplip

hplib_toolbox needs python-kde3.
If it's not installed, I get the following error:

The packages are HUGE though, so is it possible to add the Gnome version
of hplip_toolbox? I think it exists, because
http://hpinkjet.sourceforge.net/install.php#usb mentions how to find it
in the Gnome menu (but that's not the case in Debian).

Thanks in advance.
