OK. That adapter is currently listed as:
11063108unknown unknown S3 Unichrome Pro VGA Adapter

Now we only need the driver that you need for that card :-)
What do you have listed as Driver in the Device section of your X
configuration file?

Hi FJP:

About finding my linux version for grub:
I found ld-linux.so.2 under /lib in my kannotix not ld-linux.so
and /etc/lsb-release was empty.

But There is a /etc/kanotix-version directory that in my case says
KANOTIX 2006 CeBIT
kanotix-version
About Xorg :

at the bootom of my lspci
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. S3 Unichrome
 Pro VGA Adapter (rev 01)

lspci -n
01:00.0 0300: 1106:3108 (rev 01)

I hope this helps
Thanks for the prompt answer.
Luis.

Thanks.

Can you provide some information on how we could detect a Kanotix
installation?
See these scripts for some indication how the installer detects Linux
distributions:
- Based on LSB file:
http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/d-i/trunk/packages/os-prober/os-probes/mounted/common/40lsb?op=file&rev=0&sc=0
- Based on distro-specific config files:
http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/d-i/trunk/packages/os-prober/os-probes/mounted/common/90linux-distro?op=file&rev=0&sc=0

Note that the second test is based on the presence of /lib/ld-linux.so.
Does Kanotix have that?

You probably mean that the correct XOrg video driver was not set up?
If you provide us with the 'lspci' and 'lspci -n' information for your
graphics card and what driver it needs, we can fix that.

Cheers,
FJP

Comments/Problems:
Love the new graphical installer (I loved the old one also ;-)
Everything went smoothly except the GRUB setup did not detect my
Kanotix installation in /dev/hda3.
And X11 was not setup properly. It found the monitor Gateway VX900
but it could not detect my onboard Via graphics. And the vesa setup it tried
did not work. (No screens found). I fixed this by coping my kanotix
xorg.conf to /etc/X11 so I know the via driver works well with my on board
graphics. Keep up the good work. Debian RULES!
