You have the wrong version there though. I interpreted this to mean that I should not care about one version already being in the NEW queue, but go ahead and upload a new version with the requested fixes now merged in https://salsa.debian.org/mariadb-team/mariadb-server/-/merge_requests/52, so I did that now. Hi! I updated the changelog, tagged as https://salsa.debian.org/mariadb-team/mariadb-server/-/commits/debian/1%2510.11.4-0+deb12u1 and uploaded binary packages as this will need to go via NEW queue. However, it was rejected in NEW queue with error message: mariadb_10.11.4-0+deb12u1.dsc: lack of required files for format 3.x (quilt) I am currently trying to figure out what is supposedly missing, but did not figure it out at least during the first 15 minutes of research.

I propose that the latest version of MariaDB 10.11.4 be included in the upcoming stable release update of Debian. Package ready at https://salsa.debian.org/mariadb-team/mariadb-server/-/commits/debian/bookworm Current changelog: mariadb (1:10.11.4-0+deb12u1) bookworm; urgency=medium [ Andreas Beckmann ] * Introduce transitional mariadb-server-10.5 (Closes: #1035949) [ Otto Kekäläinen ] * Duplicate selected Lintian overrides in old Lintian syntax for NEW queue (this might strictly not be needed for bookworm but does not hurt either) -- Otto Kekäläinen Thu, 13 Jul 2023 21:17:18 -0700 Debdiff attached. Created with commands: git diff --stat debian/1%10.11.3-1..debian/bookworm | xz > debian-1%10.11.4-0+deb12u1.debdiff.stat.xz git diff debian/1%10.11.3-1..debian/bookworm | xz > debian-1%10.11.4-0+deb12u1.debdiff.xz Commit history for easy review visible at https://salsa.debian.org/mariadb-team/mariadb-server/-/commits/debian/bookworm Quality control: - Bookworm specific CI (mostly) passed at https://salsa.debian.org/mariadb-team/mariadb-server/-/pipelines The failures are due to me not having enough time to adapt the salsa-ci.yml properly for Bookworm yet. No regressions of the changes came up. - Builds and test suite passed on all archs available on Launchpad at https://launchpad.net/~mysql-ubuntu/+archive/ubuntu/mariadb-10.11/+builds?build_text=_state=all The end result is identical to what Debian unstable currently has. This version has been unchanged in unstable since June 18th and no regressions have been reported about it. debian-1%10.11.4-0+deb12u1.debdiff.stat.xz Description: application/xz debian-1%10.11.4-0+deb12u1.debdiff.xz Description: application/xz

I want to add my +1 as a user of mariadb, the current mariadb version in bookworm has a serios regression which turned out to be https://jira.mariadb.org/browse/MDEV-31403 and is fixed by 1:10.11.4-1 (as present in current Debian/unstable), so a fixed package of mariadb would be highly appreciated. Hi! Note that upstream released 10.11.4 today. Import preparation in progress at https://salsa.debian.org/mariadb-team/mariadb-server/-/merge_requests/50. I plan to upload this to experimental tomorrow and eventually into bookworm-pu if the release team approves. - Otto
