Renommer récursivement

2010-09-18 Thread Nicolas Roudninski

Or

J'ai tenté : find /opt/audio -exec rename 's/\s+/_/g' {} \;
devenu un_artiste. J'espère me faire bien comprendre.

#!/bin/bash

#indiquer le dossier à traiter dans cette variable
dir_from=/home/user/dossier/
#indiquer un dossier temporaire
tmp_dir=/home/user/dossier_tmp/

  do
  if [ $error -eq 0 ]

ls_dir=`ls ${dir_array[$array_dir_count2]}`

dossiers The Doors et The_Doors).

repo? ¿has usado checkinstall?

Para la pregunta, y suponiendo squeeze:
http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/i386/libfbclient2/filelist

/usr/lib/libfbclient.so.2
/usr/lib/libfbclient.so.2.5.0
/usr/share/doc/libfbclient2

Puedes hacer

dpkg -L libfbclient2

Autostart Of Applications During Startup
http://standards.freedesktop.org/autostart-spec/autostart-spec-latest.html#startup

obrigado !

Post-Installation Setup

Shared Libraries

On some systems with shared libraries you need to tell the system how
to find the newly installed shared libraries. The systems on which this
is *not* necessary include BSD/OS, FreeBSD, HP-UX, IRIX, Linux, NetBSD,
OpenBSD, Tru64 UNIX (formerly Digital UNIX), and Solaris.

The method to set the shared library search path varies between
platforms, but the most widely-used method is to set the environment
variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH like so: In Bourne shells (sh, ksh,
   bash, zsh):
*LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/pgsql/lib
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH*

   or in csh or tcsh:
*setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH /usr/local/pgsql/lib*

Replace /usr/local/pgsql/lib with whatever you set --libdir to in
step 1. You should put these commands into a shell start-up file such
as */etc/profile or ~/.bash_profile*. Some good information about the
caveats associated with this method can be found at
   http://xahlee.org/UnixResource_dir/_/ldpath.html.

On some systems it might be preferable to set the environment variable
   LD_RUN_PATH *before* building.

On Cygwin, put the library directory in the PATH or move the .dll
   files into the bin directory.

If in doubt, refer to the manual pages of your system (perhaps ld.so
or rld). If you later get a message like:
psql: error in loading shared libraries
libpq.so.2.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

then this step was necessary. Simply take care of it then.

If you are on BSD/OS, Linux, or SunOS 4 and you have root access you
   can run:
*/sbin/ldconfig /usr/local/pgsql/lib*

(or equivalent directory) after installation to enable the run-time
linker to find the shared libraries faster. Refer to the manual page of
ldconfig for more information. On FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD the
   command is:
*/sbin/ldconfig -m /usr/local/pgsql/lib*

instead. Other systems are not known to have an equivalent command.

--

alem disso tenho criado grupo e usuario pra rodar cada postgresql diferente:
*groupadd pgsql9
useradd -g pgsql9 -s /bin/sh -d /opt/pgsql9rc1/ pgsql9*

*useradd -g pgsql9 -s /bin/sh -d /opt/pgsql9rc1/ pgsql9 --disabled-password*

seria o mais correto?

outra viagem que me veio a foi a seguinte:
-s /bin/sh por um /bin/pgsql9 com

*LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/pgsql9rc1/lib
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH

*
valeu pela respostas.

Ok, Andrei, I finally get it now. I just removed the module called
airo from the kernel (networking died), and replaced it, and did the
networking start thing and, indeed, the networking came back to
life.

If that works when I run into the random network death, I can quickly
revive things. Thanks.

I wonder why the linux driver for one of the oldest standard wifi
cards (Cisco aironet) doesn't work properly, but Windows does. Don't
see that too often.

The key (I want it printed on a bedsheet) is most likely to turn up

fast RAID and a few TB of space).

You would need around about 1TB of space for 1 movie uncompressed and
the FPGA/raid would need to be able to sustain around about 120-200MB/s.

So it would need to be a highend FPGA/Raid, but the whole thing could
probs be had for around about £1000 + disks.

If it is listed there and you get no output when calling lpr, take a

Agreed (though I've no idea what a UK (?) pound is worth. 1920 x 1080 x
24 bits per pixel x 24 fps = 145MB/sec (not allowing for audio)
I suspect there would only be two types of user for the key - vendors of
home entertainment systems might become a market (though they already
use a system to bypass restrictions on projectors), and commercial
pirating operations (the ones who actually press disks). Though the
articles I've read all talk about pirates I suspect the reporters are
just *cough* wrong (pre-release pirate material is copied from studio
prior to encryption).
I recall reading an article by a Google engineer where he spoke of a
(Linux) system using multiple off-the-shelf computers with software (?)
RAID to achieve near-RAM speed disk access - and an evaluation FPGA
card from www.xilinx.com is fairly cheap...

With reference to the original posters question - maybe, just maybe, the
key might become part of a driver to allow any display to display a
stream from a blueray player... but I won't be writing it. I'm very
happy with the performance I get by simply copying the bluerays I buy to
hard drive, and I prefer keep my media on hdd.

What tool would convert map coordinates ?

2010-09-18 Thread Bernard

Hi to Everyone,

I need to convert map coordinates from Lambert II + to decimal degrees.
I found a tool which works online on a web site, but the results lack
precision : it gives degrees, minutes and integer seconds (no decimal
after the seconds, while one second is about 30 meters of distance).
More accurate tools are available for MSWIN, but I wish to use Linux
resources. I have installed the gdal package, which I have successfully
used for other purposes, but I don't know whether or not this would fit
my present purpose. I don't have access to the GDAL doc, since it is
provided on a strange format (dox), that I don't know how to use.

Thanks in advance for your help

Mmmm, just out of curiosity (as I don't own a BD player neither have Blu-

I have a medium-age Fry's computer that I bought new but on the cheap
with Lindows, or something like that instead of Win. It was a real
Linux without any aps, and you had to _buy_ any aps you wanted. It got
SuSE 9.x in jig time, and then on up to 11.1, when I gave up SuSE
because I could never get any sound out of it. The MOBO and the case
both have the same model number, GQ3121.

I once had one of those machines, a Fry's GQ3121. if I recall, it has an
SiS700 series chipset; I'd have to contact the new owner and let me see
if he'll let me run lspci on it, or still has the folder with lspci, etc
printouts.

I don't know what kind of sound processor it has. If you know of a
Linux command that will tell me what the sound chip is,

lspci | grep audio

I ran the command on the machine and got this result:

Multimedia audio controller: Silicon Integrated Circuits [SiS] AC'97
Sound Controller (rev a0)

PS: I have not tried SuSE on any of the other machines, but I do have a
live CD of 11.3. Perhaps I'll give that a try and see what happens.

AACS is broken, but few discs are protected using it. All recent discs
ad BD+, AFAIK. Decrypting BD+ works when you have a key, but every time
a BD+ key becomes known, they just switch to a new key. It's a losing
game.

I'm not interested in cracking protection, I just want to watch the

(I have some old HD-DVD discs I would like to watch, as well. My
optical drive can read those discs. The AACS crack works here, but the
discs are not ISO standard, or at least they are not *nix-friendly.
They can only be read under root, but VLC won't run as root. It's
catch-22. Any advice?)

Iomega 2TB USB drive

2010-09-18 Thread John Lindsay

Hi All

I am still trying to get this USB drive to show up as an icon on the
desktop and to show up under the toolbar 'Places' like my 8GB USB memory
stick and my /new-disk hdb (115GB internal drive). I am using Debian
Lenny with Gnome as a desktop.

Here is my 'mount' display

/dev/sda1 on / type ntfs (rw,errors=remount-ro)
tmpfs on /lib/init/rw type tmpfs (rw,nosuid,mode=0755)
proc on /proc type proc (rw,noexec, nosuid, nodev)

/dev/hdb on /new-disk type ext3 (rw,errors=remount-ro)
binfmt_misc on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc
(rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev)
/dev/sdb1 on /media/KINGSTON type vfat
(rw,nosuid,nodev,uhelper=hal,shortname=lower,uid=1000)

After I type 'mount /dev/sda1 /mnt here is my mount display

/dev/sda1 on / type ntfs (rw,errors=remount-ro)
tmpfs on /lib/init/rw type tmpfs (rw,nosuid,mode=0755)

/dev/sda1 on /mnt type ntfs (rw)

So if I read this right the device is mounted.

Here is my 'fstab'

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.

/dev/fd0/media/floppy0 autorw,user,noauto 0 0
/dev/hdb/new-diskext3defaults,errors=remount-ro01
/dev/sda1/ntfsdefaults,errors=remount-ro01

And here is my 'mtab'

/dev/sda1 / ntfs rw,errors=remount-ro 0 0
tmpfs /lib/init/rw tmpfs rw,nosuid,mode=0755 0 0
proc /proc proc rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev 0 0
procbususb /proc/bus/usb usbfs rw 0 0
udev /dev tmpfs rw,mode=0755 0 0
tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs rw,nosuid,nodev 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts rw,noexec,nosuid,gid=5,mode=620 0 0
fusectl /sys/fs/fuse/connections fusectl rw 0 0
/dev/hdb /new-disk ext3 rw,errors=remount-ro 0 0
binfmt_misc /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc binfmt_misc
rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev 0 0
/dev/sdb1 /media/KINGSTON vfat
rw,nosuid,nodev,uhelper=hal,shortname=lower,uid=1000 0 0

/dev/sda1 /mnt ntfs rw 0 0

/dev/sda1 is present in both. I noticed that I don't have a 'label' for
sda1. How do I 'label' it without reformatting the drive? I don't know
if this has anything to do with displaying the icon but it doesn't hurt
to ask those who are more proficient in things like this.

Secondly when I tried to follow the advice give to me by previous
respondents I 'lost' Kingston USB stick display. The only way I can get
it to show up is to select an earlier boot option. How do I 'delete'
the first boot option or at least move the last option to the top of the
list.

Thirdly -- is there somewhere or somehow of capturing the messages that
flash across the screen when booting up -- I see something that tells me
that USB port 1 cant be enumerated and several other messages that may
have something to do with my problem.

I do not believe it is a hardware problem because booting a live distro
on this computer such as Ubuntu shows the USB drive and it is accessible.

Last thing -- what would I use to change the permissions on the sda1?
My /dev/sdb1 (Kingston) shows 'user' as owner and group as root -- is
'permissions' a possible cause of my problem? Also looking at /mnt shows
'root' can access files only, group is root without access and others
have no access. chmod 700 /mnt says 'read only file system' ls -ld /mnt
shows

dr-x-- 1 root root 4096 2010-09-17 08:53 /mnt

Sorry is this is overly long but I would really like to resolve this
problem so I can use this drive as storage.

Thanks

John

Edit your GRUB options. Which options depends on whether you are using

Conceivably.

You *might* want chmod 777 while troubleshooting, and then possibly
something like 755 depending on your needs later.

700 locks normal users out.

The order goes user, group, world

If root is the owner, then non-root can't read, write, or execute from
that directory. In fact, just doing an ls inside a directory requires
execute privileges on that directory.

700 for owner root is probably not what you want.

Re: Re: Can't locate ndiswrapper module!

2010-09-18 Thread Bruce Ward

Thanks for all the replies.

Yes, I'm running Lenny with standard Debian kernel 2.6.26-2-486, and in
doing so was hoping to avoid having to compile ndiswrapper. However, I
have now done so. (It was not fast!)

Chris Bannister's comment about PCcard v. Cardbus may be an issue - the
card is Cardbus, the laptop recognises the card with lspci, but I don't
yet know if the laptop is fully Cardbus compatible.

If I read Geoff Simmons correctly, the pre-compiled modules do not exist
any more. My reference was to 'stable' distribution package of
ndiswrapper-source on Debian website which suggests that the modules do
exist. Seems as though that page needs updating to remove the reference.
I note that the corresponding page for Squeeze has no reference to
pre-compiled modules.

Thanks again. I still have some work to do to see if I can get this card
working.
