# cd /usr/ports/mail/p5-MIME-EncWords/ # make install clean # cd /usr/ports/mail/p5-Email-Valid/ # make install clean # cd /usr/ports/mail/p5-Mail-Sender/ # make install clean # cd /usr/ports/devel/p5-Log-Log4perl/ # make install clean # cd /usr/ports/devel/p5-Log-Dispatch/ ... no tengo ninguna de esas rutas. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-spanish-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Diferencias mysql cluster y mysql cluster manager

# cd /usr/ports/mail/p5-MIME-EncWords/ # make install clean # cd /usr/ports/mail/p5-Email-Valid/ # make install clean # cd /usr/ports/mail/p5-Mail-Sender/ # make install clean # cd /usr/ports/devel/p5-Log-Log4perl/ # make install clean # cd /usr/ports/devel/p5-Log-Dispatch/ ... no tengo ninguna de esas rutas. Sure, but in such case the user (who is in charge of the alias for their domains) will have to manually make the required corrections and the same goes for the vhosts. Except that if the user doesn't do this, the same security problem will occur. The user is the admin of his/her site and so the ultimate resposible for his/her site security. There are times when a global solution can't be applied and this seems to be one of that situations. There is a better solution: to fix mod_php and mod_rivet. What's the fix you propose? I mean, what's what you think is wrong in these two packages? Fixing the sample scripts? Are these scripts poorly written and exposing flaws? If this is so, it has to be corrected in the upstream project and I guess other linux distributions are also affected by this, but I have not read any further notice. Anyway, if you're concerned on this, better contact the Debian Apache team, they'll be able to explain why the fix has been on the Apache's package default config file instead the other two. NAT is not intended for filtering. By not masquerading outgoing traffic, you just let packets go out with their original source address instead of dropping them. You just rely on the ISP router not knowing how to handle the original source address. This is wrong. The right way is to only accept specific through your router, and then NAT all traffic that was allowed to go out. Ok, it is a bit more complicated. iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE iptables -t filter -P FORWARD DROP iptables -t filter -A FORWARD -m state --state ESTABLISHED,RELATED \ -j ACCEPT iptables -t filter -A FORWARD -o eth0 -m state --state NEW \ -p tcp --dport 110 -j ACCEPT sorry for the late responce but i was stucked in some other taskes. now its my time to hit my head by the wall i tried every single configuration on the internet. but i can not reach nor ping the destination by below example. even fwbuilder is also generating the same script but its not working however my outside interface was eth1 and inside eth0 so i repeace my setting accordingly but it doest work either. please share iptables -F iptables -t nat -F iptables -t mangle -F iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth1 -j MASQUERADE i check several website telling me the same thing but when i can not ping the outside destination 8.8.4.4 which is google DNS . i am lost kindly help now i am stuck on allowing the ping traffic. please help iptables -t filter -A FORWARD -0 eth0 -p icmp --icmp-type echo-request \ -j ACCEPT Joe wrote : only TCP and UDP have 'ports' No. ICMP does not have ports, but other protocols such as SCTP and DCCP have ports too. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Re: siduction distribution - KDE4 desktop - Default browser problem - SOLVED

And recently, a very helpful person has been helping me get Digital TV in the alt.os.linux.debian newsgroup. Then again, the siduction IRC channel can help. Today, I got onto #debian-kde and someone solved this browser problem. Took about 5 minutes. I bet that Windows users do not get so much help, but I may be wrong, not knowing anything about it. Then, using elinks, I downloaded firefox version 11.0 from www.mozilla.org and installed the contents of the tarball in /usr/local/share/firefox. I then put a link to the firefox binary in my own binary directory which is on my PATH. I then clicked on KDE Settings-System Settings-Default Applications and made sure that firefox was the default browser. Then I logged out in case that was needed. Now, when I click on a link in an email message in icedove, nothing happens. No web-browser loaded. I noticed that /etc/alternatives/www-browser pointed to /usr/bin/elinks. For an X browser should be update-alternatives --list x-www-browser. So I tried the command sudo apt-get purge elinks-lite Wowow, sir, you're a compulsive remover ;-D Yes, it's so easy to purge and install packages under Debian. but that purged elinks-lite and install konqueror which I definitely do not want to use, 'cos I'm happy with firefox.Does clicking on a link now load a web browser? No. Neither Konqueror? :-? The problem was in icedove (see below). How can I get the web-browser loaded when I click on an email message link? Anybody any ideas? Sincerely Try with update-alternatives but remember the leading x. X problem (?) after fresh install on old laptop
Hi Everyone, I installed Deb 6.0.4 on an old Dell Inspiron 2650 laptop and everything seemed to go well, except... I'll try to describe a problem I'm experiencing, evidently with X: The windows are all blank. Even at the login screen, I can't see the username, other selection list -- just a blank rectangle for the login window. The Debian starry desktop background picture does show up however. When I wave the mousepointer over the login window, it selectively shows -some- of the contents, enough that I can see to select my username, type my password and log in. Once logged in, it's more of the same in Gnome. I can see the starry desktop background picture, and I can see the menu bars, but I can't see the icons (Computer, Home, Trash) on the desktop until I waive the mouse pointer over them. I also cannot see the Applications, Places, and System menus on the left side of the top menu bar. But I can see the network, date, sound and window selector widgets on the right side of the menu bar. When I click on any of the Applications, Places or System menus, I don't see anything drop down -- but if I pause the mouse over where I expect the menu to be, tool-tips do appear, suggesting that the menu is there. I am able to ctrl+alt+f* into terminal windows and use them perfectly well. No problems at all here. When I was booted off the CD to install Debian, I didn't have any trouble with the GUI environment. Now I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with this fresh install. A little more info: I installed from a CD iso that I burned, and the laptop had a running network connection (ethernet) when I installed Debian. Additional packages were downloaded from the Internet. Again, the installation process didn't seem to have any problems. I'm somewhat of a Linux newbie (especially to Debian), but I can provide further information if anyone can suggest what commands to run and what output to provide. Also, because I'm having trouble describing my problem, I've also struggled to Google it and find existing information on the subject. If anyone has pointers, I would appreciate it. Thanks very much! Jim
