Ad industry /is/ about convincing people to do things which potentially
damage them. So it is deceptive by design. Read up on Big Tobacco for
a good example.

We are some kind of elite, don't forget that. Think of all those
folks pushed to standard browsers (banking) and smartphones (again,
banking, in some countries even basic public services).

They haven't the means to fight that; things are set up so they
don't even realise it, so most of the time they haven't even motive.
So it's on us.

So somehow there still is no such thing as free lunch. You could just
as well "blame" a cable TV network for running all those ads, your TV
set after all won't eat less power. No profit means no fancy
shows,  sports, nor fancy websites. On the web things get quickly fuzzy
of course, but in general neither is exactly deceptive. We know what
we're doing and what we're doing is voluntary and the catches, if not
obvious, are obviously well known. Know a workaround or work without
it. I'm still a (somewhat) regular terminal links user, a text browser
that is, no javascript not to mention anything more demanding, find it
quite comfortable for text-dominated sites, like docs or Wikepedia,
doesn't go well with physics/math content though. Also ok for a quick
brush-up on news sites, where there's still a need, most don't work
anymore but some do, not the ads. After all those years uBlock
Origin probably saved me tangible money too, especially with German
electricity costs (who's to blame?), but then what's cheating?

That's Debian#1035094 [1]. A fix was uploaded three weeks ago and is
available in bullseye-proposed-updates [2] but not the regular Bullseye
repository. If I understand the status page [3] correctly it's only
scheduled for the next point release. Given that there already was a
point release recently (11.7 on 2023-05-01) it will probably another
couple of months until this bug gets fixed in bullseye. :-/

Might be worth it to add proposed-updates to the APT sources and use APT
pinning to update only systemd.

Not sure if it's fixed in Bookworm already. The upstream fix went in at
v253. Bookworm is at 252.6 which doesn't exist as a tag in the upstream
repo so I cannot check if the fix was backported.

Normalement certbot automatise tout ça. Et la commande ne doit rien
renvoyer même si les certificats sont à jour. Mais il faut effectivement
que la conf du serveur web n'est pas bougé. Il faut vérifier qu'il n'y a
pas de redirection, que les lignes ajoutées par certbot sont bien là, que
les ports 80 et 443 sont bien disponibles. Il faut aussi que le
répertoire /etc/letsencrypt/ n'est pas été modifié. Notamment les droits
des certificats.

Hi Gene,

The subject suggest that it's "60-serial.rules" which is broken. This 
would be a udev rules file.


If you know the contents of the patch, couldn't you just create your own 
rules file which implements this patch? Is there any particular reason 
why you need to wait for Debian to make the change?

Est ce que le certificat en production a déjà expiré ? Je ne suis pas sûr,
mais il me semble que le challenge est utilisé quand on crée un nouveau
certificat ou quand on renouvelle un certificat expiré. Il faut vérifier si
le challenge est utilisé quand le certificat n'est pas encore expiré.

Dans tous les cas le challenge requiert de mettre un fichier dans ton
serveur qui sera accessible en HTTP. Tu pourrais vérifier la configuration
de Apache ou nginx. Peut-être qu'une modification a fait que le challenge
n'est plus accessible.

renouvelé 4 fois depuis octobre 2022.

Not really.  According to the page in the Debian Wiki[1] this is
supposed to work (and with libc6-dbg from stable it does appear to
work), so maybe you should contact Sergio Durigan Junior directly.

Is this a system that's been around since wheezy? Up until then,
Debian had a system group called fuse, but this was unnecessary
from jessie onwards. I'd guess it had never been cleaned up on
your system. For details, see:

I think you have a partition with filesystem btrfs that uses compression
with lzop.
Perhaps inside of it you have a file that is a compressed filesystem (that
is fuse: *Filesystem in Userspace* )

Gràcies, això funciona per a Xorg i també hi ha alguna alternativa per a 
Wayland (que després s'ha d'automatitzar), però tal com dius no és 
exactament el què busco.


Busco la manera com l'usuari s'ho pugui personalitzar, ja que jo puc 
fixar aquesta mena de modificacions, però potser l'usuari un dia ho vol 
corregir, bé sigui a la mateixa pantalla o bé sigui perquè un portàtil 
es connecta amb diferent pantalla cada dia.
