Proponuję, żebyś poznał dobrze to z czego korzystasz i dopiero w następnym kroku szukał nowych wyzwań. Przepraszam, jeśli to co piszę jest nieco hmm ostre bądź nieuprzejme. Szlag mnie jednak trafia gdy widzę, jak człowiek pisze, że nie chodziła mu karta pod Debianem to zainstalował Ubuntu, a potem marudzi, że ma bałagan w /etc i szuka następnej dystrybucji, na którą za 2-3 miesiące zacznie narzekać, że badziewna. Jedynym rozwiązaniem jest dobre poznanie systemu a czy to będzie Gentoo, Ubuntu, RHEL, *BSD to już drugorzędna sprawa. Każdy z systemów można postawić w wersji minimalistycznej. Skoro nie możesz utrzymać porządku w systemach z naprawdę zaawansowanym zarządzaniem pakietami (Ubuntu, Debian) to gwarantuję Ci, że nie uda Ci się to w systemie gdzie tego zarządzania pakietami nie ma w ogóle. Jeśli jednak chcesz próbować to zrób tak jak zasugerował Wojtek Z. Odpal netinstall. Nie instaluj żadnych pakietów (tylko to, co sam installer wrzucił) i masz naprawdę minimalny system, który w razie czego możesz dociągnąć do normalnego Debiana =o) Gentoo próbowałeś?... Zaraz mnie zjadą, że poebane distro :))) ale pełen minimalizm gwarantowany. Dla porównania kolega freeBSDowiec przeżywał spotkanie z gate'm na gentoo jak z hackowaniem starej nokii :P, jakoś to Obawiam się, że zderzenie linuksiarza z *bsd może być równie traumatyczne. =o))) Podłączam się, Gentoo możesz tak poskładać jak tylko chcesz, po za tym szybki i stabilny ;) Każdą dystrybucję można poskładać tak jak się chce =o)) Z Gentoo momentami pewnie będzie to ciut prostsze ale momentami za to ciut trudniejsze. To samo dotyczy szybkości i stabilności. kto zaczyna zabawę z programowaniem to cokolwiek z nich zrozumie.
PS. Powyższe opinie są przejawem jedynie moich megalomańskich
przemyśleń i tak je proszę traktować. Można się zgadzać lub nie, dla
mnie EOT.

Głównie dlatego, że sam język wymusza przejrzyste pisanie skryptów. Tobie może to się nie przyda, na pewno przyda się tym, którzy będą próbowali te skrypty zrozumieć =o) wielokrotnie spotkałem się z przykładami zastosowania kombinacji sed/awk w A grep-a nie widziałeś? ;o) OK awk jest nieco bardziej skomplikowany ale też nie ma co przesadzać z wkuwaniem. Zapoznanie się z podstawami nie powinno zająć więcej jak te wspomniane przez kogoś 2 godziny. skryptach. Kolega podpowiedział mi, że perl może być pojedyńczym, ogólnym rozwiązaniem, które, gdybym je poznał dobrze, mógłbym wykorzystywać jako jedyne do pisania skryptów. Moglibyście coś poradzić? Hi! I'm running Potato on my PPC machine. I have one problem with logcheck. That's strange... I've compiled it without any problem (after using

(using Mirabilis ICQ). No matter who initiates it.

Hi! I've been trying to find info on this on www.debian.org but i failed. I have installed qmail-1.03 from upstream sources. Now i would like to install ezmlm package but it depends on qmail and refuses to configure. I *know* that there is a package that allows me to make dpkg and friends think thath i have installed something from deb. I just don't know the name of that package and where to find it. APT keeps deb in /var/cache/apt/archives
Hi! Yesterday i swiched to apt method of dselect and am quite impressed with that. Today i noticed that apt didn't delete installed debs dpkg-ftp after installation asked if it should delet installed packages can apt do that also? Is it safe to delete this debs (will it not make apt go crazy)? also whats deity ? HI! I have just about one problem with Debian 2.0 While I was installing this thing i answered no when dselect asked if i want to use xdm. Now i would like to use xdm but i was unable to do so.
