[Bug 116990] Re: Rhythmbox sound problems (clicking/snapping/crackling) when not using crossfading backend
before you go ahead and implement that solution. i've gone ahead and asked the rhythmbox dev's about the sideeffects of that fix... it WILL break any plugins that attempt to add filters or additional sinks into the pipeline. luckily there are none of those already in rhythmbox itself yet tho. so this will break rhythmbox in the future when such a plugin is released to the mainstream or break it for those playing with experimental plugins. -- Rhythmbox sound problems (clicking/snapping/crackling) when not using crossfading backend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116990 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 150772] file picker doesn't cope with disappearing mounts
Public bug reported: I was uploading files to Flickr (through the web UI, just selected them straight off the CF card in Firefox), deleted them afterwards, unmounted the CF card, and resumed browsing. I accidentally hit Ctrl-O in Firefoxat one point, and was greeted with this: http://www.fooishbar.org/tmp/file-dialog-of-despair.png It's a bit hostile: I haven't asked it to do anything it can't do, just open a file. [Bug 150356] Re: Gnome filechooser shows wrong dates in Gutsy
Hi Pedro, I've tried many gnome applications including some that are python/gnome apps. I also tried starting an app with sudo. Actually I do not consider this a bug in gnome-netstatus as you specified an invalid network device which does not exist at the point in time you hit the icon. What's your WLAN card/driver? Laptop: It will drain the battery, spin up the fans, etc. In this specific case, I noticed it because I need about 90% of my P3 933Mhz system to watch some higher resolution videos with vlc or totem and had several second video skips (even though gnome-video-thumbnailer is niced) when watching a video. Interim solution: Switch to a different directory that doesn't have downloading videos. This won't help if you happen to be downloading the video to the desktop though. Proposed solution: If a file has been modified previously in the last N seconds and has been modified again, do not attempt to thumbnail the file. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- nautilus preview continously launches gnome-video-thumbnailer on downloading videos https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/150817 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 106621] Re: Gnome Trash doesn't show deleted files on ntfs-3g partitions
I have the same problem. I just deleted an item on my ntfs partition. I made a mistake and went to find it but couldn't find it anywhere. Finally i found this bug report and found it in .Trash-$user on the ntfs partition. Was not listed in normal trash at all. Now that ntfs-3g is by defaul in gutsy, I would say it will be *very* common. I've no clue what reports I could post to assist. If someone lets me know, I'll try. -- Gnome Trash doesn't show deleted files on ntfs-3g partitions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/106621 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 139468] Re: [gutsy] Totem fullscreen changes monitor refresh rate
I confirm this bug, using totem 2.20 with gstreamer 0.10.14. Refresh rate allways switches to 60hz on fullscreen toggle (moreover 60hz is broken for me due to some bug with xorg intel drivers: the display is squashed to the right 3/4 of the screen at 60hz, producing a distorted image; works fine at 75hz) - so there is no way of seeing fullscreen movies at any refresh rate other than 60Hz, apart from the obvious remark that totem shouldn't be causing this. -- [gutsy] Totem fullscreen changes monitor refresh rate https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139468 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 139468] Re: [gutsy] Totem fullscreen changes monitor refresh rate
The same bug is also present in totem-xine (perhaps this means it is not related to the engine but to totem itself?). Refresh switches to 60hz By the way, I'm using xserver-xorg-video-intel driver, on an intel g965 (GMA X3000) graphics chipset. The screen is set at 1440x900. -- [gutsy] Totem fullscreen changes monitor refresh rate https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139468 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
