[Bug 157780] Re: gnome-session-save scew up session file
One more thing i would like to add and which is really weird to me is the presence of these lines in my gutsy generated session file (the one who don't work ) : ,Program=xfwm4 13,CurrentDirectory=/home/frodon 13,CloneCommand=/usr/bin/xfwm4 --display :0.0 13,RestartCommand=/usr/bin/xfwm4 --display :0.0 --sm-client-id 117f00010100011934840570061180003 I have xfwm4 installed but am not using it at all so this has really nothing to do in my session file and i wonder how this came into it. [Bug 66560] Re: --onlytop does not work
Hi Ian. I just replied to your mail on the brutus list. There is something about gutsy that makes e-b fail on that platform. The missing db.h is just one symptom of this. I think that it is sufficiently different from edgy to fall flat on its face and I suspect that the only solution to this would be to install gutsy on one of my boxes and debug the problem. Unfortunately this wont happen until mid November as I'm rather pressed for time right now. Please post the solution if you find it before I dig in. [Bug 155162] Re: Too many file handles
Found problem. The Gnome VFS library was corrupted. I md5'd several files and found that they did not match the md5 of the original files inside the packages which I knew to be good. After replacing the corrupted packages the system works as expected. As a side note I suspect they became corrupted while I was attempting to get my hibernate to work. I am not arguing to remove the statusbar completely. I am well aware of its usability features and am completely in favor of keeping it. [Bug 158591] allow send to trash from the playlist
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem When I rip my music CDs to .ogg I try to only keep the songs that I really like. If I add the whole disc folder to my music folder Rhythmbox finds the tracks and lets me easily delete them through a send to trash right-menu item. [Bug 27014] Re: evolution bug, Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync
Yep, I also got this error after rebuilding Feisty on two machines and then using the 'Restore Settings' command (from the 'experimental plugins' package) to import a backup (made using the same plugin's 'Backup Settings' command) onto each. So, having occurred on two different machines, each with its own distinct restored profile, the bug at least seems to be consistent. Both the 'Backup Settings' and 'Restore Settings' commands were run on Feisty with the latest updates as of about a week ago. The backed-up profiles were, I'm pretty sure, made using the same version of Evolution that they were restored to, namely 2.10.1. I used the same shell command as Wisu Suntoyo (see above) to delete the .ev-summary files. After several machine restarts, the error has not returned. [Bug 144953] Re: serpentine crashed with TypeError in lambda()
While working on Linux Mint 4.0 (based on Gutsy) I could reproduce this problem under VMWare and VirtualBox. Under both virtual environments Serpentine would crash with the above error message. In /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/serpentine/preferences.py, if you comment out line 455 Serpentine shows a GUI error message complaining about the absence of a recording device. Using the exact same ISO, once burnt and run on a real computer (with a CD writer) Serpentine runs fine and no error message is outputted. My advice would be for the devs to make sure the error dialog box appears and that Serpentine doesn't crash before that happens. Not a big deal, just some minor exception handling here.
