You have been subscribed to a public bug: I will discribe the steps I am taking and hopefully someone will know what to do. I created a folder /home/marion/Vault. I click ok. The Passwords and Encryption Keys window opens. I click the New button at the bottom. The Create a New Key window opens. I click PGP Ky and click Continue. The New PGP Key window opens. I enter my full name, email address, and a comment. Then I click Create. The Passphrase for New PGP Key window opens. I enter the passphrase twice, and click Ok. [Bug 298331] [NEW] Mahjongg's there are no more moves dialog should have a new game button
Public bug reported: This is a wishlist bug. Now, when in Mahjongg there are no more moves, it is presented a dialog which allows to press two buttons: undo and shuffle. Since there is a one minute penalty when choosing the shuffle option, I choose one of the buttons only to close the dialog, and I press the new game button, either in the menu, or on the toolbar (which I keep invisible, by the way). Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal Currently, if I resize a terminal window with text content that wraps, the text block size stays. The reason for resizing a terminal window with wrapping content is 99% of the time because I want to reflow the text, to which the only solution now is to rerun the last command, possibly with different results (= useless). [Bug 298412] [NEW] Constant change of side taskbar items height and column split
You have been subscribed to a public bug: I have my taskbar panel placed on the right corner (see attachment) and I am used to have many apps open on the same moment. The problem is that having many items on the taskbar results in constant split into two columns or height change of the taskbar items (see attachment), sometimes it suddenly splits into columns on moving mouse over one of the items and therefore prevents from clicking on it. I would somewhat expect the items to stay on the narrow height mode and not to mutate depending on the open task count. Funny case, when I have some file being downloaded on firefox and the download manager title is chaning every second due to percentage change, the taskbar splits into two columns and gets back to a single one synchroniously with it. [Bug 181703] Re: Brasero does not recognize audio CD or blank CD-R
I'm experiencing the issue in Intrepid 32bit. I was able to burn two disks yesterday morning (the first two since Intrepid upgrade), however yesterday evening and today, every blank disk inserted reports 0 bytes available. The same disks burn fine in Rhythmbox on the same machine. A reboot did not fix the issue, however after burning with Rhythmbox, I was able to burn a cd with Brasero again. The next blank I inserted also reported having free space available, however I do not have anything else to burn. [Bug 298522] [NEW] gimp-svg freezes desktop (when inkscape is also running?)
Public bug reported: When importing an SVG file (two different fairly simple svg files so far, importing to 'reasonable' resolutions eg 330x310 or 800x1200), GIMP will cause everything else on the desktop to stop working. I can still move the mouse and drag windows about but window contents and clock don't update, I can't open menus or alt-F2 to launch a new program, close windows via gui or alt-F4. I can ctrl-alt-F1 to a terminal and log in there. In text mode everything is still totally responsive, top shows normal CUP and memory usage, pstree shows a process named 'svg'. If I kill svg and return to the desktop everything works again. Originally I thought this was 'random' but after playing around a little it might depend on Inkscape also being open. The freeze is not completely random, usually if it's happened once it will continue to happen for the next three or four attempts and then not happen again for a while. And consistent with Murphy's law, it will of course happen when attempting to demonstrate the ease of use and stability of the Ubuntu desktop in front of a roomful of people... ** Affects: gimp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gimp-svg freezes desktop (when inkscape is also running?) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/298522 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gimp in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 298525] [NEW] GNOME: Changing an icon on custom launcher is confusing
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel When I want to change the icon on a gnome-panel launcher and browse for my icon, I first have to select the directory containing the icons (graphics files) and after that get an option to select the actual graphic. This is a little bit confusing, since I didn't understood that initially only directories were shown. It's not really a serious bug, but people having this confusion would probably click on 'Cancel' rather than on 'Open', effectively failing to select a new icon. Attached are the browsing screen not showing the graphics files and the actual icon selection screen that I missed until I found out that the browsing is for directories only. I'm runing Ubuntu 8.10.
