[Bug 297461] Re: Panel Clock Freezes

2008-12-18 Thread ThomasNovin
Now my clock has stopped. I have also lost all my icons in the
notification area. They are still there, I can get mouseover tooltips
and clicking on them works. If I open the clock applet the current time
is running.

Doing a 'killall gnome-panel' restarts the whole gnome-panel and gets it
working again.

[Bug 309280] [NEW] GIMP opens new documents behind other windows

2008-12-18 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

This is similar to #197288, but I don't notice this problem with any
application other than GIMP. GIMP does have always on top windows,
but I also had this problem with the version provided with Gutsy, which
didn't have the always on top windows.

The problem occurs when I choose a file using Open, or open a file using
GIMP from Nautilus while GIMP is already in use; this does not occur if
I open a file from the recent documents menu. For example, if I'm
working on Graphic 'A', and I realise I need to use Graphic 'B', which I
have not edited recently, and go to open 'B' using the Open command, 'B'
looks like it's being opened in front of 'A', but ends up being put
behind 'A'. Similarly, if I'm working on 'A' and I open 'B' from
Nautilus, 'B' opens, again looking like it will be placed on top of the
Nautilus window, but ends up appearing behind the Nautilus window, yet
in front of 'A' (the always on top windows appear in front of the
Nautilus window, even though they were behind the Nautilus window when I
chose for the file to open. Most peculiarly, however, is the fact that
the window I just opened, despite being behind the window it was
supposed to be opened in front of, is the active window, which has
resulted in my accidentally closing the newly opened window while trying
to close the file that was in front before.

This has become a very frustrating, and time consuming, problem for me
as I've been working on multiple images simultaneously for a project,
and these files are often spread throughout a number of subdirectories
within the primary directory for the project itself. The enclosed image
was created to provide you with a visual example of this bug.

[Bug 309302] [NEW] Video and audio out of sync

are out of sync. Even when i run gst-launch-0.10 -v playbin
uri=http://192.168.15.33:8082 from console!
I experience the same problem when playing the stream from Totem movie
player which uses the GStreamer 0.10.21 lib.

This is not an issue when playing movies from files. just the http
stream.

The http stream works fine from vlc and mplayer, but not in gstreamer.

[Bug 230931] Re: Screensaver causes display freeze

2008-12-18 Thread Gerhard Radatz
I have a similiar issue with my PC and Intrepid installed.
Occasionally the system freezes, when the screensaver is active and I press a
keyboard key to get the password dialog. I am using the Matrix screensaver on
this machine, and the graphics chip onboard is Intels 82915G Integrated
Graphics Controller.

I have to login via ssh from another machine then and reboot (tried to
kill X, but when it restarted, the mouse was still frozen).

I would not consider this being a low priority bug; if it appears and
I have to reboot and loose all my running apps only because of a faulty
screensaver, this is somewhat more than low...

I have a bind mount from /home to /chroot32/home, i.e. my home directory

obviously they take up exactly the same space, so essentially the same

[Bug 145047] [NEW] Disk Usage Analyzer Open Folder backs up a directory level

2008-12-18 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Binary package hint: baobab

This is a weird one - when scanning a folder/drive with Disk Usage
Analyzer and subsequently right clicking on a folder to select Open
Folder, Nautilus will open up to the directory for a moment, but then
back up one directory level in very specific cases.

And I do mean specific ;-) Steps to reproduce:

 Close all open Nautilus windows
 Scan a drive
Right click on a displayed directory that is exactly four levels down from
the *root* (that is the actual path, not the tree reflected in DUA) where
that directory name has a space in it. - i.e.
/home/username/directoryname/directoryname with space - and select the Open
 Folder option.

Nautilus opens up in the correct directory briefly, but then backs up
one directory level and displays that directory instead.

If a Nautilus window is already open, or the directory name does not
have a space, it will work as expected. Using version 2.20.0.1

I noticed this when looking at my music folders which is mounted on a secondary
drive mounted at:
/media/Secondary/Music/ ... right clicking /media/Secondary/Music/Led Zeppelin
would reproduce the error, but /media/Secondary/Music/Aerosmith would not...

(This bug also occurs on deeper levels, i.e. right-clicking on
/media/Secondary/Music/Aerosmith/Classics Live! yields the bug, but
/media/Secondary/Music/Aerosmith/Pump does not)

Told ya it was weird :)

[Bug 274235] [NEW] doesn't sort by size correctly

2008-12-18 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Binary package hint: baobab

The error only occurs when using a custom URL with a remote directory.

The only way to have it sort sizes correctly is to first sort by Usage,
and then when I sort by Size it is correct half the time. If I sort
Usage by ascending order then when I toggle Size back and forth
immediately afterwards the ascending order is correct, but the
descending order is the same as sorting by Folder name.

Let me know if I should post screenshots.

[Bug 231946] [NEW] Baobab should probably ignore ~/.gvfs when scanning home folder

2008-12-18 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Binary package hint: baobab

I have mounted some sftp shares using nautilus. The shares can be accessed as
subdirectories of ~/.gvfs for compatibility with non gvfs applications.

When I choose to Scan Home in Baobab, ~/.gvfs is included by default,
witch makes the scan take a very long time, and the result is not really
what I expect.

I think ~/.gvfs should be ignored by default.

[Bug 304197] [NEW] notification-properties reports problem on first try, success on subsequent

2008-12-18 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Error message::

Error while displaying notification: Message did not receive a reply (timeout
by message bus)

Actions to reproduce:

System - Preferences - Pop-up Notifications

Select Ubuntu theme

press preview

the error message should appear.

I have found that the standard theme doesn't have this problem
Additionally, changing the corner (second drop down) seems to make the
problem go away.

The issue appears when Pop-up Notifications is started. and sometimes
only when the application is started with standard theme being
selected, and being changed to the Ubuntu Theme.

Subsequent clicks of preview seem to work fine until the appliction is
started again.

Bug happens on jaunty alpha updated as of Dec 1st, 6:30 PM United States
Eastern Time.

i cant seem to find the version of the package.

2008-12-18 Thread jbrea

** Attachment added: lastupdate.txt
   http://launchpadlibrarian.net/20547467/lastupdate.txt

** Description changed:

Since last update I cannot print any file opened in evince on network
printer Brother HL-5270DN anymore. When I send a print job, the printer
wakes up but does not print anything. Printing out of e.g. firefox works
  fine.
+
+ I couldn't test it yet on an usb printer.
