[Bug 366699] [NEW] LG cell phone mass storage connection hangs usb (it worked great in intrepid)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: yelp When you connect a LG 9100 phone, the phone asks if you want to connect the mass storage, and when you say yes, the usb connection seems to hang. It won't mount. lsusb seems to confirm this with no report while the phone is in mass storage mode - it hangs the terminal window. lsusb reports the correct phone connected if it is not in mass storage mode (or you cancel the phones mass storage mode selection). My previous screenshot in this bugreport illustrates the issue in Nautilus, not nautilus-sendto. [Bug 366737] [NEW] Complete System Lockup following Screensaver then Monitor Power Down
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver This is my first time reporting a bug on Ubuntu so apologies if I miss anything. Today my machine locked up while I was away from desk. When I returned the machine was unresponsive to keyboard (internal and external), mouse and or trackpad. The network also appeared to be offline as I couldn't ping it from another machine on my network. The machine didn't appear to be busy - no rapidly flashing lights! It was also unresponsive to a the power button (not in suspend or hibernate). I had to hold the power button down for 3-5 seconds to shut the machine down. The machine had idled to screensaver (Skyrocket) before I left my desk. I do not know if power management had put the display to sleep as I was not at the desk, but I was away long enough for this to have occurred (~1 hour). Yesterday, following it's release, I did a fresh install of Jaunty Jackalope 64bit on my machine. (I had previously been running Intrepid Ibex.) I also installed the latest driver from Nvidia (x86_64 v180.53) released on the 22 Apr 09. (I had previously been using a beta Nvidia Driverx86_64 v185.13 released on the 13 Mar 09.) At the time, the following applications were running; 1. QuickSynergy (minimized but connected as a server to one other pc) 2. Firefox (1 instance) 3. Gedit (2 files open) 4. Terminal (idle) Apart from VMware Server2, the machine runs very little on the host. I had installed a couple of new applications on trial as this was my first build of Jaunty. My machine specs are as follows; Dell Precision M6400 (Laptop) Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9300 16Gb RAM / 2 * 500Gb Sata 7200 (no RAID) 17 RGB LED 1920x1200 driven by Nvidia FX3700M 1Gb Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope 64Bit (9.04) 2.6.28-11 Nvidia Driver x86_64 v180.53 I had not had this issue previously under Intrepid. Re: [Bug 366630] Re: gnome-sound-properties no default mixer track selected
Yes, here's the screenshot (I also added the corresponding gconf keys so you can see better) Instead of Capture Playback should be selected, and also Master should be selected the volume keys work, but they change the ALSA MASTER mixer, instead of the PULSEAUDIO MASTER mixer. [Bug 365270] Re: Move is Copy + Thrash, should be Move that removes all traces of the first.
yes - Sebastian - it is consistent. You can make another folder than Inbox, touch and email and try to drop it into the new folder. What happens is that the email ends up in the new folder - but a copy of it is in the Deleted Items /Trash folder. This means that a duplicate has been created. Then make a Message rule that moves messages from e.g. a named sender to the new folder - and the result will be the same on receipt: one copy in the new folder and a duplicate in Trash. Related to priority - i have a long experience in database development - and can tell you that the bug is fundamental, and is consequential to a number of other bugs reported. It renders all Message rules useless - because it results in messages being deleted. It is critical, because nobody can use an email client that causes messages to be lost. Make a version that processes one email account at a time - avoiding multiple streams allocate new message indexes. Then when you have verified that the message has been moved properly, delete the content by releasing the message index of the original. If the two does not compare after move - then delete the new index (best also notify that the move failed for some reason) and release the message index to the new - and hold on to the old index. What happens now is that the message index of some other stream uses the same message index, causing the emails to get lost - or deleted. It is not a desktop bug - it is a bug in the core system. You have to consider concurrency and you cannot make duplicates to delete them later. -- Move is Copy + Thrash, should be Move that removes all traces of the first. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/365270 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
